Editorial Policy for HinduText
Effective Date: June 2026
At HinduText, our mission is to create a digital sanctuary that preserves and disseminates the profound wisdom of Sanatana Dharma. To maintain the purity, accuracy, and dignity of our platform, we follow a strict Editorial Policy. This policy applies to all authors, contributors, and the core administration team.
1. Core Values and Authenticity
All content published on HinduText must be rooted in authenticity. When referencing ancient texts, scriptures, Puranas, or historical events, authors are expected to provide accurate translations, logical interpretations, and, wherever possible, citations from original Sanskrit or regional texts.
2. Guidelines for Authors
Authors writing for HinduText must adhere to the following standards:
- Respect for Dharma: Content must respect the spiritual, cultural, and philosophical traditions of Hinduism. Constructive criticism and philosophical debates are welcome (as is the tradition of Shastrartha), but derogatory, hateful, or intentionally offensive content will not be tolerated.
- Originality: Submissions must be original. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. If quoting other modern authors or translations, proper credit must be given.
- Accuracy: While myths and stories have multiple variations across different regions of India, authors should clarify the source or regional context of the version they are sharing.
- No Hate Speech: We do not allow content that promotes violence, hatred, discrimination, or bigotry against any religion, caste, community, or individual.
3. Review and Approval Process
HinduText is a curated platform. Before an article is published:
- It may undergo a review process by our editorial team to ensure it meets our quality and ethical standards.
- The editorial team reserves the right to make minor edits for formatting, grammar, and readability without altering the core message of the article.
- If major changes or clarifications are needed, the article may be sent back to the author for revision.
- We reserve the right to reject or unpublish any content that violates this Editorial Policy.
4. Use of AI and Automated Content
We believe in the human touch when it comes to spiritual interpretation. If Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools are used for drafting, translation, or research, the author must manually review, fact-check, and edit the content to ensure it accurately reflects the nuances and emotional depth of the original scriptures. Purely AI-generated content that lacks human oversight or spiritual essence may be rejected.
5. Corrections and Updates
We strive for continuous improvement. If readers or scholars identify factual errors, misinterpretations, or missing citations in our published content, we encourage them to reach out. The editorial team will review the claim and, if necessary, update the article with a correction note.
6. Reporting Content
If you find any content on HinduText that you believe violates our Editorial Policy, please report it to us immediately through our Contact Us page. We will investigate all reports promptly.
