रक्षो॒हणं॑ वा॒जिन॒मा जि॑घर्मि मि॒त्रं प्रथि॑ष्ठ॒मुप॑ यामि॒ शर्म॑ । शिशा॑नो अ॒ग्निः क्रतु॑भिः॒ समि॑द्धः॒ स नो॒ दिवा॒ स रि॒षः पा॑तु॒ नक्त॑म् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं राक्षसों का हनन करने वाले एवं बल के साधन अन्न से युक्त अग्नि के लिए हवन करता हूं. यज्ञ के द्वारा मैं मित्र बने हुए विस्तार को प्राप्त अग्नि की शरण जाता हूं. तीक्ष्ण ज्चालाओं वाले वे अग्नि देव आज्य आदि के द्वारा प्रज्वलित हों. इस प्रकार के अग्नि देव दिन में हिंसा करने वाले से हमारी रक्षा करें. (१)
EN English Translation
I perform havan for the agni that destroys the demons and contains food, the means of strength. Through yajna, I become a friend and take refuge in the agni to get expansion. Those agni gods with sharp movements should be ignited by ajya etc. May this kind of agni god protect us from those who commit violence during the day. (1)
अयो॑दंष्ट्रो अ॒र्चिषा॑ यातु॒धाना॒नुप॑ स्पृश जातवेदः॒ समि॑द्धः । आ जि॒ह्वया॒ मूर॑देवान्रभस्व क्र॒व्यादो॑ वृ॒ष्ट्वापि॑ धत्स्वा॒सन् ॥ (२)

हे जन्म लेने वालों के ज्ञाता अग्नि देव! हमारे द्वारा किए हुए घृत आदि से भलीभांति प्रज्वलित हो कर तुम लोहे के दांतों के समान अपनी ज्वालाओं के द्वारा राक्षसों को जला दो. जादूटोने के द्वारा जो दूसरों की हत्या का खेल खेलते हैं, उन्हें तुम अपनी जीभ से स्पर्श करो तथा मांस भक्षक राक्षस पिशाच आदि का विनाश कर के अपना मुख बंद कर लो. (२)
EN English Translation
O God of agni, the knower of those who are born! By igniting well with the ghee etc. done by us, burn the demons with your flames like iron teeth. Those who play the game of killing others through witchcraft, touch them with your tongue and close your mouth by destroying the meat-eating monster vampire etc. (2)
उ॒भोभ॑यावि॒न्नुप॑ धेहि॒ दंष्ट्रौ॑ हिं॒स्रः शिशा॒नोऽव॑रं॒ परं॑ च । उ॒तान्तरि॑क्षे॒ परि॑ याह्यग्ने॒ जम्भैः॒ सं धे॑ह्य॒भि या॑तु॒धाना॑न् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह रक्षा करने योग्य है और यह मारने योग्य है-इन दो प्रकार के ज्ञान वाले हे अग्नि देव! तुम हिंसक एवं तीखी ज्वालाओं वाले हो. तुम हमारे शत्रु एवं हमारे द्वारा द्वेष किए गए पुरुष को अपनी दोनों दाढ़ों के बीच में रख लो. इस के पश्चात तुम आकाश में विचरण करो. हे अग्नि देव! मुझे बाधा पहुंचाने के निमित्त घूमते हुए राक्षसों को दांतों से चबा डालो. (३)
EN English Translation
It is protectable and it is worth killing - O Agni Dev with these two kinds of knowledge! You are violent and with sharp flames. You put our enemy and the man we have hated between your two molars. After this, you wander in the sky. O God of Agni! Chew the demons with your teeth while roaming around to obstruct me. (3)
अग्ने॒ त्वचं॑ यातु॒धान॑स्य भिन्धि हिं॒स्राशनि॒र्हर॑सा हन्त्वेनम् । प्र पर्वा॑णि जातवेदः शृणीहि क्र॒व्यात्क्र॑वि॒ष्णुर्वि चि॑नोत्वेनम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! तुम राक्षसों की त्वचा का छेदन करो. तुम्हारा हिंसक वज्र अपने ताप से इन राक्षसों की हत्या करे. हे जातवेद अग्नि! राक्षसों के जोड़ों को अलगअलग कर दो. इस के पश्चात भक्षक भेड़िया मांस की इच्छा करता हुआ इन्हें खींच कर ले जाए. (४)
EN English Translation
O God of Agni! You pierce the skin of monsters. May your violent thunderbolt kill these demons with its heat. O jataved agni! Separate the pairs of demons. After this, the eater wolf should pull them away, desiring meat. (4)
यत्रे॒दानीं॒ पश्य॑सि जातवेद॒स्तिष्ठ॑न्तमग्न उ॒त वा॒ चर॑न्तम् । उ॒तान्तरि॑क्षे॒ पत॑न्तं यातु॒धानं॒ तमस्ता॑ विध्य॒ शर्वा॒ शिशा॑नः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे जातवेद अग्नि देव! तुम कहीं बैठे हुए और कहीं चलतेफिरते हुए राक्षसों को देखते हो. वे इस देश में हमारे प्रति उपद्रव करते है. आकाश में भी जाते हुए उस राक्षस को खींच लेने वाले तुम तीक्ष्ण हो कर अपनी ज्वालाओं से मारो. (५)
EN English Translation
O Jataveda Agni Dev! You see demons sitting somewhere and walking somewhere. They create nuisance towards us in this country. Even while going to the sky, you who pull that monster, be sharp and kill it with your flames. (5)
य॒ज्ञैरिषूः॑ सं॒नम॑मानो अग्ने वा॒चा श॒ल्याँ अ॒शनि॑भिर्दिहा॒नः । ताभि॑र्विध्य॒ हृद॑ये यातु॒धाना॑न्प्रती॒चो बा॒हून्प्रति॑ भङ्ग्ध्येषाम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम हमारे यज्ञों के द्वारा अपने बाणों को सीधा करते हुए एवं हमारी स्तुतियों के द्वारा उन के फलों को तेज करते हुए उन बाणों को राक्षसों के हृदयों में चुभा दो. इस के पश्चात हमारे वध के लिए उठी राक्षसों की भुजाओं को भग्न कर दो. (६)
EN English Translation
O agni! You pierce those arrows in the hearts of demons by straightening your arrows through our sacrifices and intensifying their fruits through our praises. After this, break the arms of the demons raised for our slaughter. (6)
उ॒तार॑ब्धान्त्स्पृणुहि जातवेद उ॒तारे॑भा॒णाँ ऋ॒ष्टिभि॑र्यातु॒धाना॑न् । अग्ने॒ पूर्वो॒ नि ज॑हि॒ शोशु॑चान आ॒मादः॒ क्ष्विङ्का॒स्तम॑द॒न्त्वेनीः॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे जातवेद अग्नि देव! हम तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. तुम हमारा पालन करो तथा हल्ला करने वाले राक्षसों का अपने आयुधों के द्वारा वध करो. तुम शत्रु को उस के आक्रमण के पूर्व ही मार डालो. उस मारे हुए का भक्षण कच्चा मांस खाने वाले पक्षी करें. (७)
EN English Translation
O Jataveda Agni Dev! We praise you. You follow us and kill the demons who make a hue and cry with your weapons. You kill the enemy before he attacks him. Feed that killed birds eating raw meat. (7)
इ॒ह प्र ब्रू॑हि यत॒मः सो अ॑ग्ने यातु॒धानो॒ य इ॒दं कृ॑णोति । तमा र॑भस्व स॒मिधा॑ यविष्ठ नृ॒चक्ष॑स॒श्चक्षु॑षे रन्धयैनम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! इस शांति कर्म में जो राक्षस हमारे शरीर को पीड़ा देने वाला काम करता है, उन से कह दो कि वह तुम्हारे द्वारा प्रहार करने योग्य है. हे अधिक युवा अग्नि देव, उस पापी को अपनी जलाने वाली ज्वाला से स्पर्श करो. हे अग्नि देव! तुम पुण्यात्मा और पापियों को साक्षी रूप हो कर देखते हो. तुम इस पापी को अपनी दृष्टि के द्वारा वश में कर लो. (८)
EN English Translation
O God of Agni! In this peace deed, tell the demon who does the work of hurting our body that he is worthy of being attacked by you. O more young Agni God, touch that sinner with your burning flame. O God of Agni! You see the pious and sinners as witnesses. You subdue this sinner through your vision. (8)
ती॒क्ष्णेना॑ग्ने॒ चक्षु॑षा रक्ष य॒ज्ञं प्राञ्चं॒ वसु॑भ्यः॒ प्र ण॑य प्रचेतः । हिं॒स्रं रक्षां॑स्य॒भि शोशु॑चानं॒ मा त्वा॑ दभन्यातु॒धाना॑ नृचक्षः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! अपने भयंकर एवं उग्र तेज के द्वारा हमारे यज्ञ की रक्षा करो. हे दयालु मन वाले अग्नि देव! हमारे इस यज्ञ को देवों तक पहुंचाओ और यज्ञ की रक्षा करते हुए तुम राक्षसों को मारो. वे तुम्हें अपने वश में न कर सकें. (९)
EN English Translation
O God of Agni! Protect our yajna with your fierce and fierce radiance. O God of agni with a kind heart! Take this yajna of ours to the gods and kill you demons while protecting the yajna. They can't control you. (9)
नृ॒चक्षा॒ रक्षः॒ परि॑ पश्य वि॒क्षु तस्य॒ त्रीणि॒ प्रति॑ शृणी॒ह्यग्रा॑ । तस्या॑ग्ने पृ॒ष्टीर्हर॑सा शृणीहि त्रे॒धा मूलं॑ यातु॒धान॑स्य वृश्च ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! मनुष्यों का जो दंड एवं अनुग्रह कार्य है, उस के द्रष्टा तुम ही हो. जो राक्षस प्रजा को पीड़ा पहुंचाते है, तुम उन के ऊपर से तीन अंगों अर्थात् दो हाथों और तीसरे शीश को काट दो. तुम अपने तेज से उन राक्षसों की पसलियों तथा पैरों के तीन भागों को भी काट दो. (१०)
EN English Translation
O God of Agni! You are the seer of the punishment and grace of men. Those demons who cause pain to the people, cut off three limbs i.e. two hands and the third head from them. You also cut off the ribs and three parts of the legs of those demons with your glory. (10)
त्रिर्या॑तु॒धानः॒ प्रसि॑तिं त एत्वृ॒तं यो अ॑ग्ने॒ अनृ॑तेन॒ हन्ति॑ । तम॒र्चिषा॑ स्फूर्जय॑ञ्जातवेदः सम॒क्षमे॑नं गृण॒ते नि यु॑ङ्ग्धि ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! राक्षस तुम्हारी ज्वालाओं को तीन बार प्राप्त करें. अर्थात् अग्नि उन्हें तीन बार प्रातः, दोपहर और शाम को जलाएं. जो मेरे सत्य यज्ञ को छल से नष्ट करता है, उसे पकड़ कर मेरे सामने ही अपनी ज्वालाओं से नष्ट कर दो. (११)
EN English Translation
O God of Agni! Get the monsters your flames three times. That is, agni burn them three times in the morning, afternoon and evening. Whoever destroys my true sacrifice with deceit, take him and destroy him with his flames in front of me. (11)
यद॑ग्ने अ॒द्य मि॑थु॒ना शपा॑तो॒ यद्वा॒चस्तृ॒ष्टं ज॒नय॑न्त रे॒भाः । म॒न्योर्मन॑सः शर॒व्या॒ जाय॑ते॒ या तया॑ विध्य॒ हृद॑ये यातु॒धाना॑न् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! जिस राक्षस के कारण स्त्री और पुरुष आक्रोश से भरे हुए हैं तथा यज्ञ के श्रोता कटुवाणी से मंत्रों का उच्चारण कर रहे हैं, उस राक्षस पर अपने ज्वाला युक्त मन का प्रहार करो. (१२)
EN English Translation
O God of Agni! Attack the demon due to which women and men are full of anger and the listeners of the yajna are chanting mantras with katuwani, attack that demon with your flame. (12)
परा॑ शृणीहि॒ तप॑सा यातु॒धाना॒न्परा॑ग्ने॒ रक्षो॒ हर॑सा शृणीहि । परा॒र्चिषा॒ मूर॑देवाञ्छृणीहि॒ परा॑सु॒तृपः॒ शोशु॑चतः शृणीहि ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! अपने तेज से राक्षसों का विनाश करो तथा अपने प्राणनाशक तेज से उन्हें मार डालो. हत्या कर्म के द्वारा पीड़ा करने वाले उन राक्षसों को अपनी ज्वाला से जला दो. जो दूसरे के प्राणों से अपनेआप को तृप्त करते हैं, ऐसे राक्षसों को तुम अपनी ज्वाला से जला दो. (१३)
EN English Translation
O God of Agni! Destroy the demons with your glory and kill them with your deadly glory. Burn those demons who suffer by killing with your flame. Those who satisfy yourself with the lives of others, burn such demons with your flame. (13)
परा॒द्य दे॒वा वृ॑जि॒नं शृ॑णन्तु प्र॒त्यगे॑नं श॒पथा॑ यन्तु सृ॒ष्टाः । वा॒चास्ते॑नं॒ शर॑व ऋच्छन्तु॒ मर्म॒न्विश्व॑स्यैतु॒ प्रसि॑तिं यातु॒धानः॑ ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
आज देवगण राक्षस एवं पाप देवता को ऐसा मारें कि वे लौट कर न आएं. राक्षसों अथवा पाप को संतुष्ट करने वाले जो लोग हमें शाप देते हैं वह उन्हीं की ओर चला जाए. असत्य वचन के द्वारा जो प्रहार करता है, देवों के बाण उस के मर्म स्थल में लगें. वह राक्षस संसार को व्याप्त करने वाले अग्नि देव की ज्वाला में गिरे. (१४)
EN English Translation
Today, the gods should kill the demon and the sin god in such a way that they do not come back. Let the demons or those who curse us who satisfy sin go towards them. Whoever strikes through the untruth word, the arrows of the gods should be placed in his heart. That demon fell into the flame of the agni god who pervades the world. (14)
यः पौरु॑षेयेण क्र॒विषा॑ सम॒ङ्क्ते यो अश्व्ये॑न प॒शुना॑ यातु॒धानः॑ । यो अ॒घ्न्याया॒ भर॑ति क्षी॒रम॑ग्ने॒ तेषां॑ शी॒र्षाणि॒ हर॒सापि॑ वृश्च ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो राक्षस पुरुषों के मांस से अपना पोषण करता है तथा घोड़े और बकरी आदि के मांस से पुष्ट होता है, हे अग्नि देव! जो राक्षस गाय का दूध चुराता है. उन सब के सिरों को अपनी ज्वाला से काट दो. (१५)
EN English Translation
The demon who nourishes himself with the flesh of men and is strengthened by the flesh of horses and goats etc., O Agni God! The monster who steals cow's milk. Cut off the ends of all of them with your flame. (15)
वि॒षं गवां॑ यातु॒धाना॑ भरन्ता॒मा वृ॑श्चन्ता॒मदि॑तये दु॒रेवाः॑ । परै॑णान्दे॒वः स॑वि॒ता द॑दातु॒ परा॑ भा॒गमोष॑धीनां जयन्ताम् ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
गायों के दूध की कामना करते हुए राक्षस उन से विष प्राप्त करें. दुष्ट गति वाले राक्षस सब को आश्रय देने वाली पृथ्वी के सुख के लिए छिन्नभिन्न हो जाएं अर्थात् भूमि पर प्राप्त होने वाले पदार्थो को न पा सकें. सविता देव ये राक्षस वधिकों को सौंप दे. ये सब गेहूं, जौ आदि के भागीदार न बनें. (१६)
EN English Translation
While wishing for the milk of cows, the demons get poison from them. The demons with evil movements should be shattered for the happiness of the earth that shelters everyone, that is, they cannot find the substances received on the ground. Savita Dev should hand over these demons to the brides. Do not become partners in all these wheat, barley etc. (16)
सं॑वत्स॒रीणं॒ पय॑ उ॒स्रिया॑या॒स्तस्य॒ माशी॑द्यातु॒धानो॑ नृचक्षः । पी॒यूष॑मग्ने यत॒मस्तितृ॑प्सा॒त्तं प्र॒त्यञ्च॑म॒र्चिषा॑ विध्य॒ मर्म॑णि ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मनुष्यों को देखने वाले अग्नि देव! राक्षस हमारी गायों के वर्ष में होने वाले गर्भाधान, प्रसव आदि को नष्ट न करें तथा उन का दूध न पिएं. उन में से जो राक्षस हवि रूपी अमृत एवं गो घृत से अपनेआप को तृप्त करना चाहे, उस राक्षस को अपनी ज्वाला से ताड़ित कर के विमुख करो. (१७)
EN English Translation
O God of agni who sees human beings! Demons should not destroy the conception, delivery etc. of our cows in the year and do not drink their milk. One of those demons who wants to satisfy themselves with the nectar of Havi and cow ghee, chastise that demon with your flame and turn away. (17)
स॒नाद॑ग्ने मृणसि यातु॒धाना॒न्न त्वा॒ रक्षां॑सि॒ पृत॑नासु जिग्युः । स॒हमू॑रा॒ननु॑ दह क्र॒व्यादो॒ मा ते॑ हे॒त्या मु॑क्षत॒ दैव्या॑याः ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! तुम चिरकाल से राक्षसों का हनन करते हो, फिर भी राक्षस युद्धों में तुम्हें जीत नहीं सकते हैं. इसलिए तुम मांसाहारी राक्षसों को मूल सहित जला दो. वे तुम्हारे दैवी आयुध से न बच सकें. (१८)
EN English Translation
O God of Agni! You have been violating demons since time immemorial, yet demons cannot conquer you in wars. So you burn carnivorous monsters including the original. They cannot escape your divine armament. (18)
त्वं नो॑ अग्ने अध॒रादु॑द॒क्तस्त्वं प॒श्चादु॒त र॑क्षा पु॒रस्ता॑त् । प्रति॒ त्ये ते॑ अ॒जरा॑स॒स्तपि॑ष्ठा अ॒घशं॑सं॒ शोशु॑चतो दहन्तु ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! तुम नीचे की दिशा से पीड़ा पहुंचाने वाले राक्षसों से, ऊपर की दिशा से पीड़ा पहुंचाने वाले राक्षसों से तथा पूर्व दिशा से पीड़ा पहुंचाने वाले राक्षसों से हमारी रक्षा करी. सर्वत्र वर्तमान तुम्हारी चिनगारी पापी राक्षसों का विनाश करे. हे राक्षस! अग्नि देव वृद्ध न होने वाले, अतिशय संतापकारी एवं दीप्ति वाले हैं. (१९)
EN English Translation
O God of Agni! You protect us from demons who hurt from the lower direction, demons who hurt from the upward direction and demons who hurt from the east direction. May the present present everywhere destroy your sinful demons. O monster! Agni Dev is not old, very angry and radiant. (19)
प॒श्चात्पु॒रस्ता॑दध॒रादु॒तोत्त॒रात्क॒विः काव्ये॑न॒ परि॑ पाह्यग्ने । सखा॒ सखा॑यम॒जरो॑ जरि॒म्णे अग्ने॒ मर्ताँ॒ अम॑र्त्य॒स्त्वं नः॑ ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सब कुछ जानने वाले अग्नि देव! तुम क्रांतदर्शी हो. इसलिए दक्षिण, उत्तर, पूर्व और पश्चिम दिशाओं से बाधा पहुंचाने वाले राक्षसों को जानते हो. तुम अपने रक्षा व्यापारों के द्वारा हमारी रक्षा करो. तुम मेरे सखा हो, इसलिए अपने सखा अर्थात् मेरी रक्षा करो. हे अग्नि देव! तुम वृद्धावस्था रहित हो, मुझ वृद्ध और दुर्बल की रक्षा करो. तुम मरण रहित हो, मुझ मरणधर्मा की रक्षा करो. (२०)
EN English Translation
O Agni God who knows everything! You are a revolutionary. Therefore, you know the demons who obstruct from the south, north, east and west directions. You protect us by your defense trades. You are my friend, so protect your sakha i.e. me. O God of Agni! You are without old age, protect me old and weak. You are without death, protect me, my dharma of death. (20)
तद॑ग्ने॒ चक्षुः॒ प्रति॑ धेहि रे॒भे श॑फा॒रुजो॒ येन॒ पश्य॑सि यातु॒धाना॑न् । अ॑थर्व॒वज्ज्योति॑षा॒ दैव्ये॑न स॒त्यं धूर्व॑न्तम॒चितं॒ न्योष ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! तुम शब्द करते हुए राक्षस पर अपनी वह दृष्टि डालो अर्थात् उसे जला दो, जिस से तुम पशु रूपधारी राक्षसों को देखते हो. अथर्वा नाम के महर्षि ने अपने तप और मंत्र के प्रभाव से जिस प्रकार राक्षस को जलाया, उसी प्रकार तुम भी अपनी दिव्य ज्योति से सत्य की हिंसा करने वाले एवं ज्ञानहीन राक्षसों को पूरी तरह जला दो. (२१)
EN English Translation
O God of Agni! While saying the word, cast your eye on the demon, that is, burn it, from which you see the demons in the form of animals. Just as maharishi named Atharva burnt the demon with the effect of his tenacity and mantra, in the same way, you should also completely burn the demons who commit violence of truth and knowledgeless with your divine light. (21)
परि॑ त्वाग्ने॒ पुरं॑ व॒यं विप्रं॑ सहस्य धीमहि । धृ॒षद्व॑र्णं दि॒वेदि॑वे ह॒न्तारं॑ भङ्गु॒राव॑तः ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सबको पराजित करने वाले अग्नि देव! हम तुम्हारा सभी प्रकार से ध्यान करते हैं. तुम अभिलाषाएं पूर्ण करने वाले, मेधावी, अधिक वर्षा युक्त तथा प्रतिदिन गिरते हुए बल और स्वभाव वाले राक्षसों के हंता हो. (२२)
EN English Translation
O God of agni who defeats all! We meditate on you in all ways. You are the destroyers of demons who fulfill desires, are meritorious, have more rain and falling force and nature every day. (22)
वि॒षेण॑ भङ्गु॒राव॑तः॒ प्रति॑ स्म र॒क्षसो॑ जहि । अग्ने॑ ति॒ग्मेन॑ शो॒चिषा॒ तपु॑रग्राभिर॒र्चिभिः॑ ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! विष के समान विनाशक अपने तीखे तेज से भग्नचरित्र वाले राक्षसों का विनाश करो. तुम उन्हें अपनी ताप युक्त ज्वालाओं से भी जलाओ. (२३)
EN English Translation
O God of Agni! Destroy the demons with the fractal character with your sharp ness, the poison-like destroyer. You also burn them with your heating flames. (23)
वि ज्योति॑षा बृह॒ता भा॑त्य॒ग्निरा॒विर्विश्वा॑नि कृणुते महि॒त्वा । प्रादे॑वीर्मा॒याः स॑हते दु॒रेवाः॒ शिशी॑ते॒ शृङ्गे॒ रक्षो॑भ्यो वि॒निक्ष्वे॑ ॥ (२४)

ये अग्नि देव महान तेज से प्रकाशित हैं. हे अग्नि देव! अपने तेजों की अधिकता से तुम समस्त प्राणियों को प्रकट करते हो. ये अग्नि देव राक्षसों से संबंधित और कष्ट से जानने योग्य मायाओं का पूर्णतया विनाश करते हैं तथा राक्षसों के विनाश के लिए अपने सींग पैने करते हैं. (२४)
EN English Translation
These agni gods are illuminated with great glory. O God of Agni! With the abundance of your radiances, you reveal all beings. These agni gods completely destroy the mayas related to the demons and know the suffering and sharpen their horns for the destruction of the demons. (24)
ये ते॒ शृङ्गे॑ अ॒जरे॑ जातवेदस्ति॒ग्महे॑ती॒ ब्रह्म॑संशिते । ताभ्यां॑ दु॒र्हार्द॑मभि॒दास॑न्तं किमी॒दिनं॑ प्र॒त्यञ्च॑म॒र्चिषा॑ जातवेदो॒ वि नि॑क्ष्व ॥ (२५)

हे जातवेद अग्नि! तुम्हारे जो प्रसिद्ध सींग हैं, उन के द्वारा तुम अपने विरोधियों का विनाश करो. तुम्हारे सींग जरा रहित, तीखे आयुधों के समान एवं हमारे मंत्रों के द्वारा शक्तिशाली बनाए गए हैं. तुम दुष्ट हृदय वाले सब के विनाशक एवं यह कौन है, यह कौन है, इस प्रकार बोल कर विनाश करने वाले राक्षसों को मारो. (२५)
EN English Translation
O jataved agni! You destroy your opponents by those who are famous horns of yours. Your horns are made without a little, like sharp weapons and powerful by our mantras. You are the destroyers of all with an evil heart and who is this, who is this, thus speaking and killing the demons who destroy them. (25)
अ॒ग्नी रक्षां॑सि सेधति शु॒क्रशो॑चि॒रम॑र्त्यः । शुचिः॑ पाव॒क ईड्यः॑ ॥ (२६)

ये अग्नि देव सभी प्रकार से बाधा पहुंचाने वाले राक्षसों का विनाश करते हैं. अग्नि देव दीप्ति प्रकाश वाले, मृत्यु रहित, शुद्ध और सब को पवित्र करने वाले हैं. (२६)
EN English Translation
These agni gods destroy the demons who obstruct in all ways. Agni Dev is light, without death, pure and purifier of all. (26)
