या ब॒भ्रवो॒ याश्च॑ शु॒क्रा रोहि॑णीरु॒त पृश्न॑यः । असि॑क्नीः कृ॒ष्णा ओष॑धीः॒ सर्वा॑ अ॒च्छाव॑दामसि ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो जड़ीबूटियां विभिन्न आकारों तथा शुक्ल, लाल आदि रंगों की हैं, उन सभी के सामने उपस्थित हो कर मैं रोग निवारण की प्रार्थना करता हूं. (१)

I pray for the prevention of disease by appearing in front of all the herbs which are of different sizes and colors like Shukla, Red etc. (1)
त्राय॑न्तामि॒मं पुरु॑षं॒ यक्ष्मा॑द्दे॒वेषि॑ता॒दधि॑ । यासां॒ द्यौष्पि॒ता पृ॑थि॒वी मा॒ता स॑मु॒द्रो मूलं॑ वी॒रुधां॑ ब॒भूव॑ ॥ (२)

पृथ्वी जिन की माता, आकाश जिन का पिता और सागर जिन का मूल है, वे जड़ीबूटियां दुर्भाग्य के कारण उत्पन्न इस राजयक्ष्मा रोग से इस पुरुष की रक्षा करें. (२)
EN English Translation
Earth whose mother, sky whose father and ocean is the root, those herbs protect this man from this rajakshama disease caused by misfortune. (2)
आपो॒ अग्रं॑ दि॒व्या ओष॑धयः । तास्ते॒ यक्ष्म॑मेन॒स्यमङ्गा॑दङ्गादनीनशन् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रोगी पुरुष! जो पवित्र जल और दिव्य जड़ीबूटियां हैं, वे तेरे शरीर के प्रत्येक अंग से यक्ष्मा रोग का विनाश कर दें. (३)
EN English Translation
O patient man! May the holy water and divine herbs destroy tuberculosis from every part of your body. (3)
प्र॑स्तृण॒ती स्त॒म्बिनी॒रेक॑शुङ्गाः प्रतन्व॒तीरोष॑धी॒रा व॑दामि । अं॑शु॒मतीः॑ का॒ण्डिनी॒र्या विशा॑खा॒ ह्वया॑मि ते वी॒रुधो॑ वैश्वदे॒वीरु॒ग्राः पु॑रुष॒जीव॑नीः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यक्ष्मा रोग से ग्रसित पुरुष! मैं तेरे स्वास्थ्य लाभ के निमित्त फैली हुई, बहुत सी टहनियों वाली, एक टहनी वाली, गांठों वाली, पत्तियों वाली, शाखाओं से रहित एवं नसों वाली जो जड़ीबूटियां तुझे जीवन देने वाली हैं, उन सभी अत्यधिक प्रभावशालिनी एवं समस्त देवों के निवास वाली जड़ीबूटियों को तेरे लिए ग्रहण करता हूं. (४)
EN English Translation
O man suffering from tuberculosis! I accept for you all the herbs that are spread out for your health, with many twigs, one twig, lumps, leaves, without branches and veins that are going to give you life, all those highly effective and inhabited by all the gods. (4)
यद्वः॒ सहः॑ सहमाना वी॒र्यं यच्च॑ वो॒ बल॑म् । तेने॒मम॒स्माद्यक्ष्मा॒त्पुरु॑षं मुञ्चतौषधी॒रथो॑ कृणोमि भेष॒जम् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रोगों का विनाश करने वाली जड़ीबूटियों! तुम में जो रोग नाश करने वाली शक्ति, वीर्य और बल है, उस के द्वारा इस पुरुष की यक्ष्मा रोग से रक्षा करो. मैं सभी ओषधियों को मंत्रो से युक्त बनाता हूं. (५)
EN English Translation
O herbs that destroy diseases! Protect this man from tuberculosis through the disease-destroying power, semen and force that you have. I make all the medicines with mantras. (5)
जी॑व॒लां न॑घारि॒षां जी॑व॒न्तीमोष॑धीम॒हम् । अ॑रुन्ध॒तीमु॒न्नय॑न्तीं पु॒ष्पां मधु॑मतीमि॒ह हु॑वे॒ऽस्मा अ॑रि॒ष्टता॑तये ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
कल्याण के निमित्त मैं जीवन देने वाली एवं क्रोध न करने वाली जीवंती एवं अरुंधती नामक जड़ी बूटियों का आह्वान करता हूं. ये जड़ीबूटियां ऊपर की ओर बढ़ने वाली, पुष्पों से युक्त एवं मधु सहित हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
For the sake of welfare, I call for life-giving and non-angry vibrancy and herbs called Arundhati. These herbs are upward-growing, flower-rich and honey-rich. (6)
इ॒हा य॑न्तु॒ प्रचे॑तसो मे॒दिनी॒र्वच॑सो॒ मम॑ । यथे॒मं पा॒रया॑मसि॒ पुरु॑षं दुरि॒तादधि॑ ॥ (७)

मेरे मंत्रों के प्रभाव से चेतनायुक्त जड़ीबूटियां यहां आएं तथा इस रोग के कारण रूप पाप का विनाश करें. (७)
EN English Translation
With the effect of my mantras, conscious herbs should come here and destroy the sin caused by this disease. (7)
अ॒ग्नेर्घा॒सो अ॒पां गर्भो॒ या रोह॑न्ति॒ पुन॑र्णवाः । ध्रु॒वाः स॒हस्र॑ना॒म्नीर्भे॑ष॒जीः स॒न्त्वाभृ॑ताः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो जड़ीबूटियां जल का गर्भ हैं, अग्नि का भोजन हैं तथा बारबार उगने के कारण नवीन रहती हैं, इस प्रकार की हजारों नाम वाली जड़ीबूटियां नित्य यहां लाई जाएं. (८)
EN English Translation
The herbs which are the womb of water, the food of agni and are new due to frequent growth, such thousands of named herbs should be brought here regularly. (8)
अ॒वको॑ल्बा उ॒दका॑त्मान॒ ओष॑धयः । व्यृषन्तु दुरि॒तं ती॑क्ष्णशृ॒ङ्ग्यः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो जड़ीबूटियां सिवार घास का गर्भ हैं और जल जिन का जीवन है, बारबार उगने के कारण जो सदा नवीन रहती हैं, वे रोगों के कारण रूप पापों का नाश करें. उन ओषधियों के पत्ते अथवा कांटे नोकीली सींक के समान हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
The herbs which are the womb of the sewar grass and the water which has life, which are always new due to the repeated growth, they should destroy the sins due to diseases. The leaves or thorns of those medicines are like a pointed horn. (9)
उ॑न्मु॒ञ्चन्ती॑र्विवरु॒णा उ॒ग्रा या वि॑ष॒दूष॑णीः । अथो॑ बलास॒नाश॑नीः कृत्या॒दूष॑णीश्च॒ यास्ता इ॒हा य॒न्त्वोष॑धीः ॥ (१०)

जलोदर रोग का विनाश करने वाली, विष को शांत करने वाली, खांसी आदि रोगों पर प्रभावशालिनी तथा जो कृत्या नामक पाप देवता को दूर भगाने वाली हैं, वे जड़ीबूटियां यहां लाई जाएं. (१०)
EN English Translation
Herbs that destroy ascites, calm poison, affect diseases like cough etc. and drive away the sin god called Krita, those herbs should be brought here. (10)
अपक्री॒ताः सही॑यसीर्वी॒रुधो॒ या अ॒भिष्टु॑ताः । त्राय॑न्ताम॒स्मिन्ग्रामे॒ गामश्वं॒ पुरु॑षं प॒शुम् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारे द्वारा लाई गई, रोगों का विनाश करने में समर्थ एवं मंत्रों द्वारा प्रभावित जो जड़ीबूटियां हैं, वे इस गांव के मनुष्यों और पशुओं की रक्षा करें. (११)
EN English Translation
May the herbs brought by us, capable of destroying diseases and affected by mantras, protect the humans and animals of this village. (11)
मधु॑म॒न्मूलं॒ मधु॑म॒दग्र॑मासां॒ मधु॑म॒न्मध्यं॑ वी॒रुधां॑ बभूव । मधु॑मत्प॒र्णं मधु॑म॒त्पुष्प॑मासां॒ मधोः॒ सम्भ॑क्ता अ॒मृत॑स्य भ॒क्षो घृ॒तमन्नं॑ दुह्रतां॒ गोपु॑रोगवम् ॥ (१२)

जिन वृक्षों की जड़, ऊपर का भाग एवं मध्य भाग मधुरता पूर्ण हैं, जिन के पत्ते एवं फूल मधु से भरे हुए हैं, जो मधु से भलीभांति पूर्ण हैं, उन का सेवन करने वाला अमृत का सेवन करता है. वह स्वस्थ रहता हुआ गायों से घृत तथा अन्न प्राप्त करता है. (१२)
EN English Translation
The one who consumes the roots, upper part and middle part of the trees whose roots, upper part and middle part are sweet, whose leaves and flowers are full of honey, which are well full of honey, consumes nectar. He gets ghee and food from cows while staying healthy. (12)
याव॑तीः॒ किय॑तीश्चे॒माः पृ॑थि॒व्यामध्योष॑धीः । ता मा॑ सहस्रप॒र्ण्यो मृ॒त्योर्मु॑ञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (१३)

पृथ्वी पर जितनी भी हजार पत्तों वाली जड़ीबूटियां हैं, वे मुझे मृत्यु एवं पाप से बचाएं. (१३)
EN English Translation
May all the thousand leaf herbs on earth save me from death and sin. (13)
वैया॑घ्रो म॒णिर्वी॒रुधां॒ त्राय॑माणोऽभिशस्ति॒पाः । अमी॑वाः॒ सर्वा॒ रक्षां॒स्यप॑ ह॒न्त्वधि॑ दू॒रम॒स्मत् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वृक्षों से निर्मित वैयाघ्र मणि रक्षक एवं पवित्र करने वाली है. वह सभी रोगों और राक्षसों को हम से दूर करे. (१४)
EN English Translation
The vayaghra gem made of trees is the protector and purifier. May he remove all diseases and demons from us. (14)
सिंह॑स्येव स्त॒नथोः॒ सं वि॑जन्ते॒ऽग्नेरि॑व विजन्ते॒ आभृ॑ताभ्यः । गवां॒ यक्ष्मः॒ पुरु॑षाणां वी॒रुद्भि॒रति॑नुत्तो ना॒व्या एतु स्रो॒त्याः ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस प्रकार सिंह की गर्जना से प्राणी भयभीत होते हैं एवं प्रज्वलित अग्नि से सभी जीव व्याकुल हो कर भागते हैं, उसी प्रकार हमारे गौ आदि पशुओं तथा पुत्र, पौत्र आदि मनुष्यों का यक्ष्मा रोग नदियों को पार कर बहुत दूर चला जाए. (१५)
EN English Translation
Just as the creatures are frightened by the roar of the lion and all the creatures run away from the ignited agni, in the same way, the tuberculosis disease of our cows etc. animals and sons, grandsons etc. humans should cross the rivers and go far away. (15)
मु॑मुचा॒ना ओष॑धयो॒ऽग्नेर्वै॑श्वान॒रादधि॑ । भूमिं॑ सन्तन्व॒तीरि॑त॒ यासां॒ राजा॒ वन॒स्पतिः॑ ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो ओषधियां धरती को आच्छादित किए हुए हैं और वनस्पति जिन के राजा हैं, वैश्वानर अग्नि से भी अधिक प्रभाव वाली वे ओषधियां हमें रोगों से मुक्त करती हैं. (१६)
EN English Translation
The medicines that cover the earth and the vegetation of which they are kings, those medicines with more effect than the global agni free us from diseases. (16)
या रोह॑न्त्याङ्गिर॒सीः पर्व॑तेषु स॒मेषु॑ च । ता नः॒ पय॑स्वतीः शि॒वा ओष॑धीः सन्तु॒ शं हृ॒दे ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अंगिरा ऋषि द्वारा बताई गई जो जड़ीबूटियां ऊंचे पर्वतों पर एवं समतल मैदानों में उत्पन्न होती हैं, वे दूध के समान सार वाली जड़ीबूटियां हमारे लिए कल्याणकारिणी हों एवं हमारे हृदयों को शांति प्रदान करें. (१७)
EN English Translation
The herbs mentioned by Angira Rishi, which are produced on high mountains and flat plains, should be welfare for us and give peace to our hearts. (17)
याश्चा॒हं वेद॑ वी॒रुधो॒ याश्च॒ पश्या॑मि॒ चक्षु॑षा । अज्ञा॑ता जानी॒मश्च॒ या यासु॑ वि॒द्म च॒ संभृ॑तम् ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिन वृक्षों को मैं जानता हूं, जिन को मैं अपनी आंखों से देख सकता हूं और जिन को मैं नहीं जानता, वे सभी रोग विनाश में समर्थ हैं. (१८)
EN English Translation
The trees I know, the ones I can see with my own eyes, and the trees I do not know, are all capable of disease destruction. (18)
सर्वाः॑ सम॒ग्रा ओष॑धी॒र्बोध॑न्तु॒ वच॑सो॒ मम॑ । यथे॒मं पा॒रया॑मसि॒ पुरु॑षं दुरि॒तादधि॑ ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सभी जड़ीबूटियां मेरी स्तुतियों का अभिप्राय संपूर्ण रूप से जान लें तथा मुझे इस योग्य बना दें कि मैं इस रोगी पुरुष को रोग रूपी पाप से उस पार पहुंचा सकूं. (१९)
EN English Translation
May all herbs fully know the meaning of my praises and enable me to bring this sick man across from the sin of disease. (19)
अ॑श्व॒त्थो द॒र्भो वी॒रुधां॒ सोमो॒ राजा॒मृतं॑ ह॒विः । व्री॒हिर्यव॑श्च भेष॒जौ दि॒व॒स्पु॒त्रावम॑र्त्यौ ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वृक्षों का गर्भ पीपल, राजा सोम और अमृत हवि हैं. धान और जौ नामक फसलें आकाश से होने वाली वर्षा से उत्पन्न होने के कारण आकाश की संतान तथा अमर हैं. (२०)
EN English Translation
The womb of the trees is Peepal, King Som and Amrit Havi. Crops called paddy and barley are the children of the sky and immortal due to the rain from the sky. (20)
उज्जि॑हीध्वे स्त॒नय॑त्यभि॒क्रन्द॑त्योषधीः । य॒दा वः॑ पृश्निमातरः प॒र्जन्यो॒ रेत॒साव॑ति ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जड़ीबूटियां बिजली की कड़क से और बादलों के गर्जन से जीवित रहती हैं. वायु और मेघ वर्षा रूपी जीवन से जड़ीबूटियों की रक्षा करते हैं. (२१)
EN English Translation
Herbs survive by lightning and thunder of clouds. Air and cloud protect herbs from rain-like life. (21)
तस्या॒मृत॑स्ये॒मं बलं॒ पुरु॑षं पाययामसि । अथो॑ कृणोमि भेष॒जं यथास॑च्छ॒तहा॑यनः ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जड़ीबूटियों के अमृत रूपी बल को मैं रोगी पुरुष को पिलाता हूं. मैं इस की चिकित्सा इस प्रकार करता हूं कि यह रोगी पुरुष सौ वर्ष की अवस्था प्राप्त करे. (२२)
EN English Translation
I feed the nectar-like force of herbs to the patient man. I treat it in such a way that this patient man attains the age of 100 years. (22)
व॑रा॒हो वे॑द वी॒रुधं॑ नकु॒लो वे॑द भेष॒जीम् । स॒र्पा ग॑न्ध॒र्वा या वि॒दुस्ता अ॒स्मा अव॑से हुवे ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सुअर जिन वृक्षों को जानता है और नेवला जिन जड़ीबूटियों से परिचित है तथा सांप और गंधर्व जिन्हें जानते हैं, उन जड़ीबूटियों को मैं इस रोगी पुरुष की रक्षा के लिए बुलाता हूं. (२३)
EN English Translation
I call the trees that the pig knows and the herbs that the mongoose is familiar with and the snakes and Gandharvas know, to protect this patient man. (23)
याः सु॑प॒र्णा आ॑ङ्गिर॒सीर्दि॒व्या या र॒घटो॑ वि॒दुः । वयां॑सि हं॒सा या वि॒दुर्याश्च॒ सर्वे॑ पत॒त्त्रिणः॑ । मृ॒गा या वि॒दुरोष॑धी॒स्ता अ॒स्मा अव॑से हुवे ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिन सुंदर पत्तों वाली जड़ीबूटियों का अंगिरा ऋषि ने रोगियों पर प्रयोग किया, रमद्रुट जिन दिव्य जड़ीबूटियों को जानते थे, हंस एवं अन्य सभी पक्षी जिन जड़ीबूटियों से परिचित हैं तथा हरिण जिन जड़ीबूटियों को जानते हैं, उन सभी जड़ीबूटियों को मैं इस रोगी पुरुष की चिकित्सा के लिए बुलाता हूं. (२४)
EN English Translation
I call all the herbs with beautiful leaves that Angira Rishi used on patients, the divine herbs that Ramdrut knew, the herbs that geese and all other birds are familiar with and the herbs that the deer know. (24)
याव॑तीना॒मोष॑धीनां॒ गावः॑ प्रा॒श्नन्त्य॒घ्न्या याव॑तीनामजा॒वयः॑ । ताव॑ती॒स्तुभ्य॒मोष॑धीः॒ शर्म॒ यच्छ॒न्त्वाभृ॑ताः ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रोगी पुरुष! हिंसा के अयोग्य गाएं जितनी जड़ीबूटियों को खाती हैं और बकरियां या भेड़ें जिन जड़ीबूटियों को चरती हैं, मेरे द्वारा लाई गई वे सभी जड़ीबूटियां तेरा कल्याण करें. (२५)
EN English Translation
O patient man! May all the herbs that goats or sheep graze, all the herbs brought by me, which are eaten by cows unworthy of violence. (25)
याव॑तीषु मनु॒ष्या भेष॒जं भि॒षजो॑ वि॒दुः । ताव॑तीर्वि॒श्वभे॑षजी॒रा भ॑रामि॒ त्वाम॒भि ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रोगी पुरुष! वैद्य जितनी भी जड़ीबूटियों को ओषधि के रूप में जानते हैं, उन समस्त जड़ीबूटियों को मैं तेरी चिकित्सा के लिए लाता हूं. (२६)
EN English Translation
O patient man! All the herbs that the physician knows as medicines, I bring all those herbs for your treatment. (26)
पुष्प॑वतीः प्र॒सूम॑तीः फ॒लिनी॑रफ॒ला उ॒त । सं॑मा॒तर॑ इव दुह्राम॒स्मा अ॑रि॒ष्टता॑तये ॥ (२७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
फूलों वाली, अंकुर उत्पन्न करने वाली, फल वाली और बिना फल वाली जो जड़ीबूटियां हैं, मैं इस रोगी पुरुष के कल्याण के लिए उन सब का प्रयोग इस प्रकार करता हूं, जिस प्रकार माता बालक को दूध पिलाती है. (२७)
EN English Translation
The herbs that are flowering, sprout producing, fruitless and without fruit, I use all of them for the welfare of this patient man in the same way as the mother feeds the child. (27)
उत्त्वा॑हार्षं॒ पञ्च॑शला॒दथो॒ दश॑शलादु॒त । अथो॒ यम॑स्य॒ पड्वी॑शा॒द्विश्व॑स्माद्देवकिल्बि॒षात् ॥ (२८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रोगी पुरुष! मैं ने पंच शलाका एवं दस शलाका वाली, काठ के चरण बंधन से यमराज के पाश से तथा सभी पापों से छुड़ा कर तुझे प्राप्त कर लिया है. (२८)
EN English Translation
O patient man! I have attained you by getting rid of the loop of Yamraj and from all sins by the five shalakas and ten shalakas, by the wooden feet. (28)
