रेवतीर्नः सधमाद इन्द्रे सन्तु तुविवाजाः । क्षुमन्तो याभिर्मदेम ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! गौओं को अपने साथ रखने से हम सुख पाते हैं. आप की कृपा से हमारी गाएं स्वस्थ और पुष्ट हों, पर्याप्त घी व दूध दें. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! We get happiness by keeping cows with us. By your grace, our cows should be healthy and strong, give enough ghee and milk. (1)
आ घ त्वावां त्मना युक्तः स्तोतृभ्यो धृष्णवीयानः । ऋणोरक्षं न चक्र्योः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप धीर हैं. आप बुद्धिपूर्वक स्तुतिकर्ताओं को मनोवांछित पदार्थ प्रदान करने की कृपा कीजिए. आप इस के लिए वैसे ही सहायक हैं, जैसे रथ के लिए उस के पहिए सहायक होते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are patient. Please wisely provide the desired substances to the praisors. You are as helpful for this, just as its wheels are helpful for a chariot. (2)
आ यद्दुवः शतक्रतवा कामं जरितॄणाम् । ऋणोरक्षं न शचीभिः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप सैकड़ों यज्ञों वाले हैं. आप उपासकों की मनोकामना पूरी करने की कृपा कीजिए. रथ को जैसे उस के पहियों से गति मिलती है, वैसे ही आप की कृपा से उपासकों को धन मिलता है. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are going to have hundreds of sacrifices. Please fulfill the wishes of the worshippers. Just as the chariot gets speed from its wheels, so by the grace of you, the worshipers get money. (3)
सुरूपकृत्नुमूतये सुदुघामिव गोदुहे । जुहूमसि द्यविद्यवि ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप का स्वरूप सुंदर है. गाय दुहने के समय जैसे ग्वाले गायों को पुकारते हैं, उसी प्रकार हम अपनी रक्षा के लिए आप को पुकारते हैं, आमंत्रित करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Your appearance is beautiful. Just as cowherds call on cows at the time of cow milking, similarly we call upon you to protect ourselves. (4)
उप नः सवना गहि सोमस्य सोमपाः पिब । गोदा इद्रेवतो मदः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप सोमपान करने वाले हैं. आप सोमरस पीने के लिए हमारे सवन (यज्ञ संध्या) में पधारने की कृपा कीजिए. आप सोमरस पी कर प्रसन्न होइए. आप यजमानों को गोधन, वैभव, ऐश्वर्य और आनंद प्रदान करने की कृपा कीजिए. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are going to do sompan. Please come to our sawan (yagya sandhya) to drink someras. Please be happy to drink somers. Please give godhan, splendour, opulence and joy to the hosts. (5)
अथा ते अन्तमानां विद्याम सुमतीनाम् । मा नो अति ख्य आ गहि ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! सोमरस पीने के बाद हमें अपनी सुमतियों का दर्शन कराइए. आप हम से विमुख मत होइए. आप दुष्टों को यह ज्ञान देने की कृपा मत कीजिए. आप से यही हमारा अनुरोध है. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! After drinking somers, make us see your sumatis. Don't turn away from us. Please don't give this knowledge to the wicked. This is our request to you. (6)
उभे यदिन्द्र रोदसी आपप्राथोषा इव । महान्तं त्वा महीनाँ सम्राजं चर्षणीनाम् । देवी जनित्र्यजीजनद्भद्रा जनित्र्यजीजनत् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप भी उषा की भांति स्वर्गलोक और पृथ्वीलोक को अपने प्रकाश से भरने की कृपा कीजिए. आप महान, महिमाशाली, पृथ्वी के राजा व अदिति आप की जननी है. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Please fill heaven and earth with your light like Usha. You are great, glorious, king of the earth and Aditi is your mother. (7)
दीर्घँ ह्यङ्कुशं यथा शक्तिं बिभर्षि मन्तुमः । पूर्वेण मघवन्पदा वयामजो यथा यमः । देवी जनित्र्यजीजनद्भद्रा जनित्र्यजीजनत् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप ज्ञान के भंडार, शक्ति व सामर्थ्य धारक हैं. आप को देवताओं की माता ने जना है. आप को कल्याणकारिणी जननी ने जना है. बकरा जैसे आगे के पैरों से अपने भोज्य पदार्थों को नियंत्रित करता है, उसी तरह आप दुष्टों को वश में करते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are a storehouse of knowledge, power and power. You have been born by the mother of gods. You have been born by Kalyankarini Janani. Just as a goat controls its food items with the front legs, you subdue the wicked. (8)
अव स्म दुर्हृणायतो मर्त्तस्य तनुहि स्थिरम् । अधस्पदं तमीं कृधि यो अस्माँ अभिदासति । देवी जनित्र्यजीजनद्भद्रा जनित्र्यजीजनत् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप को देवताओं की माता ने जना है. आप को कल्याणकारिणी माता ने जना है. आप हमें अधीन (पराधीन) बनाने वाले दुष्ट शन्रुओं का नाश करने की कृपा कीजिए. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You have been born by the mother of gods. You have been born by Kalyankarini Mata. Please destroy the evil enemies who subjugated us. (9)
