हे अग्नि! आप हमारे समीप रहिए. आप हमारा त्राण (रक्षा) कीजिए. आप हमारे लिए कल्याणकारी होने की कृपा कीजिए. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! You stay close to us. You protect us. Please be a benefactor for us. (1)
वसुरग्निर्वसुश्रवा अच्छा नक्षि द्युमत्तमो रयिं दाः ॥ (२)

हे अग्नि! आप सब से धनी और सब के शरणदाता हैं. आप आसानी से हमारे पास पधारिए. आप दयुमान (तेजस्वी) होइए व हमें धन दीजिए. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are the richest and the refuge of all. You come to us easily. You be dyuman (tejashwi) and give us money. (2)

हे अग्नि! आप दिव्य और प्रकाशमान हैं. हम मित्रों के कल्याण के लिए अच्छे मन से निश्चित रूप से आप की उपासना करते हैं. (३)

O agni! You are divine and luminous. We definitely worship you with a good heart for the welfare of friends. (3)

हे इंद्र! सभी देव तथा सभी भुवन (लोक) हमारे लिए सुखदायी (कल्याणदायी) हों. (४)

यज्ञं च नस्तन्वं च प्रजां चादित्यैरिन्द्रः सह सीषधातु ॥ (५)

हे इंद्र! आप आदित्यों समेत हम पर कृपा कीजिए. आप हमारा यज्ञ सफल बनाइए. आप हमारे शरीर को स्वस्थ बनाइए. आप हमारी संतति को सफल बनाइए. (५)

O Indra! Please thank us, including you Adityas. You make our yajna a success. You make our body healthy. You make our progeny successful. (5)

आदित्यों, मरुद्गणों एवं अन्य सहयोगियों के साथ इंद्र हमारे वास्ते भेषज (रोग चिकित्सा) तैयार करने की कृपा करें. (६)

May Indra, along with adityas, marudaganas and other associates, please prepare a pharmacist (disease therapy) for us. (6)
प्र व इन्द्राय वृत्रहन्तमाय विप्राय गाथं गायत यं जुजोषते ॥ (७)

हे उपासको! इंद्र वृत्रहंता, विद्वान् और ब्राह्मण हैं. आप उन के लिए स्तुतियां गाइए. वे उन स्तुतियों को सुन कर प्रसन्न होते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
O worshiper! Indra is a Greater, a scholar and a Brahmin. Sing praises to them. They are happy to hear those eulogies. (7)
अर्चन्त्यर्कं मरुतः स्वर्का आ स्तोभति श्रुतो युवा स इन्द्रः ॥ (८)

साधक सम्माननीय व प्रशंसा के योग्य इंद्र को भजते हैं. बलिष्ठ एवं प्रसिद्ध इंद्र उन को अपना संरक्षण प्रदान करते हैं. (८)

Seekers worship Indra, respectable and worthy of praise. The strong and famous Indra gives them his protection. (8)
उप प्रक्षे मधुमति क्षियन्तः पुष्येम रयिं धीमहे त इन्द्र ॥ (९)

हे इंद्र! आप के संरक्षण में रहने वाले हम याजक बलिष्ठ हों और धान्य से युक्त हों. (९)

O Indra! We priests living under your protection should be strong and full of grain. (9)
