सोमः पुनानो अर्षति सहस्रधारो अत्यविः । वायोरिन्द्रस्य निष्कृतम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वायु और इंद्र के लिए सोमरस निचोड़ा गया है. सोमरस पवित्र व सहस्र धारा वाला है. भेड़ के बालों की छलनी से छान कर उसे तैयार किया गया है. (१)
EN English Translation
Somerus has been squeezed for Vayu and Indra. Someras is holy and has a thousand streams. The sheep's hair has been filtered with a sieve and prepared. (1)
पवमानमवस्यवो विप्रमभि प्र गायत । सुष्वाणं देववीतये ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ब्राह्मणो! सोम आप को पवित्र करने वाले हैं. आप देवताओं से अपने संरक्षण की कामना कीजिए. आप इन के लिए स्तुतियां गाइए. (२)
EN English Translation
O Brahmins! Som is going to sanctify you. Wish the gods your protection. Sing praises for them. (2)
पवन्ते वाजसातये सोमाः सहस्रपाजसः । गृणाना देववीतये ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप अन्न प्रदान करने के लिए अपनी सहस्र धाराओं से झरिए. देवताओं को भेंट करने के लिए आप को परिष्कृत किया जाता है. (३)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You jump with your thousand streams to provide food. You are refined to offer to the gods. (3)
उत नो वाजसातये पवस्व बृहतीरिषः । द्युमदिन्दो सुवीर्यम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप पवित्र व विशाल हैं. आप हमें श्रेष्ठ वीर्यवान बनाने की कृपा कीजिए. (४)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are pure and vast. Please make us the best semen. (4)
अत्या हियाना न हेतृभिरसृग्रं वाजसातये । वि वारमव्यमाशवः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप अग्रगण्य हैं. यजमान आप को अन्न प्राप्ति के लिए गतिपूर्वक परिष्कृत करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are the forward. Hosts refine you dynamically to get food. (5)
ते नः सहस्रिणँ रयिं पवन्तामा सुवीर्यम् । सुवाना देवास इन्दवः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप सहस्र धार वाले, पवित्र और धनवान हैं. हमें देवत्व प्रदान करें. (६)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are thousands of sharp, holy and wealthy. Give us divinity. (6)
वाश्रा अर्षन्तीन्दवोऽभि वत्सं न मातरः । दधन्विरे गभस्त्योः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप वैसे ही आवाज करते हुए कलश में जाते हैं, हाथों में लिए जाते हैं जैसे मां प्रेम वचन बोलती हुई अपने बच्चों की ओर जाती है और बच्चों को हाथ में ले लेती है. (७)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You go to the kalash making the same sound, are taken in your hands just as the mother goes towards her children speaking love words and takes the children in her hand. (7)
जुष्ट इन्द्राय मत्सरः पवमान कनिक्रदत् । विश्वा अप द्विषो जहि ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप इंद्र को तृप्ति देते हैं. आप पवित्र हैं. आप क्रंदन (आवाज) करते हुए सभी शत्रुओं का विनाश करने की कृपा कीजिए. (८)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You give satiation to Indra. You are holy. Please destroy all enemies by shouting. (8)
अपघ्नन्तो अराव्णः पवमानाः स्वर्दृशः । योनावृतस्य सीदत ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप पवित्र हैं. आप स्वार्थियों का विनाश कीजिए. आप यज्ञ स्थल पर विराजने की कृपा कीजिए. (९)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are holy. You destroy the selfish. Please sit at the yajna site. (9)
