इनो राजन्नरतिः समिद्धो रौद्रो दक्षाय सुषुमाँ अदर्शि । चिकिद्वि भाति भासा बृहतासिक्नीमेति रुशतीमपाजन् ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि! आप राजा और शत्रुओं के लिए भयानक हैं. आप यजमानों की मनोकामना पूरी करते हैं. आप चकित करने वाले आप भास्कर (प्रकाशमान) व विशाल हैं. आप रात्रि में हवन के लिए चमकते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are terrible for kings and enemies. You fulfill the wishes of the hosts. You are the astonishing ones, bhaskar (prakashman) and vishal. You shine for havan at night. (1)
कृष्णां यदेनीमभि वर्पसाभूज्जनयन्योषां बृहतः पितुर्जाम् । ऊर्ध्वं भानुँ सूर्यस्य स्तभायन्दिवो वसुभिररतिर्वि भाति ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप पिता (सूर्य) के जाए हैं. आप स्त्री रूप को प्रकट करते हैं. अंधेरी रात को अपनी ज्वालाओं से हटाते हैं (परास्त करते हैं). आप अपने दिव्य तेज से सूर्य का तेज ऊपर स्वर्गलोक में ही रोक लेते हैं. आप अपने ही तेज से तेजस्वी होते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are the father's (Sun) go. You reveal the feminine form. Remove (defeat) the dark night with its flames. You stop the brightness of the sun from your divine radiance in heaven. You are stunning with your own brilliance. (2)
भद्रो भद्रया सचमान आगात्स्वसारं जारो अभ्येति पश्चात् । सुप्रकेतैर्द्युभिरग्निर्वितिष्ठन्रुशद्भिर्वर्णैरभि राममस्थात् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
कल्याणकारी अग्नि की कल्याणकारिणी उषा सेवा करती हैं. अग्नि शत्रुनाशक हैं. वे अपनी प्रिय बहन उषा के पास पहुंचते हैं. वे अंधेरे का नाश करते हैं. वे सर्वत्र गमनशील हैं. वे अपनी लपटों से सर्वत्र प्रकाशित हो रहे हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Welfare workers of the welfare agni Usha serve. Agni is the destroyer of enemies. They reach out to their beloved sister Usha. They destroy darkness. They are moving everywhere. They are being illuminated everywhere with their flames. (3)
कया ते अग्ने अङ्गिर ऊर्जो नपादुपस्तुतिम् । वराय देव मन्यवे ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप अंगों को प्रकाशित करते हैं. आप ऊर्जा बढ़ाते हैं. सब आप को अंगीकार करते हैं. हम आप के अलावा और किस को श्रेष्ठ देव मानें? (४)
EN English Translation
O agni! You publish the organs. You increase energy. Everyone accepts you. Who else do we consider to be the best god besides you? (4)
दाशेम कस्य मनसा यज्ञस्य सहसो यहो । कदु वोच इदं नमः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हम किस मन से आप का भजन करें? हम कब आप को नमन करें? कब हमारी वाणियां आप को प्राप्त करें? (५)
EN English Translation
O agni! With what heart should we worship you? When shall we bow down to you? When do we get our words to you? (5)
अधा त्वँ हि नस्करो विश्वा अस्मभ्यँ सुक्षितीः । वाजद्रविणसो गिरः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप हम पर सब कृपा कीजिए. हम अपनी प्रार्थनाओं से आप को अपने प्रति कृपालु बनाएं. आप हमें धनधान्यमय बनाइए. (६)
EN English Translation
O agni! You please all over us. Let us make you kind to us with our prayers. You make us rich. (6)
अग्न आ याह्यग्निभिर्होतारं त्वा वृणीमहे । आ त्वामनक्तु प्रयता हविष्मती यजिष्ठं बर्हिरासदे ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप देवों को आमंत्रित करने वाले हैं. आप हमारी स्तुतियां सुनिए. आप अन्य अग्नियों के साथ हमारे यज्ञस्थान पर पधारिए, कुश का आसन ग्रहण कीजिए. हमारी हवि से युक्त आहुतियां स्वीकार करने की कृपा कीजिए. (७)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are going to invite the gods. You listen to our praises. You come to our yajnasthan with other agnis, take the seat of Kush. Please accept our commitments. (7)
अच्छा हि त्वा सहसः सूनो अङ्गिरः स्रुचश्चरन्त्यध्वरे । ऊर्जो नपातं घृतकेशमीमहेऽग्निं यज्ञेषु पूर्व्यम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप सर्वत्र भ्रमणशील और बलवर्द्धक हैं. आप के यजमान पुत्र आप के पास हवि पहुंचाने के लिए आतुर हैं. आप उन की आहुतियां अंगीकार कीजिए. आप ऊर्जा का नाश रोकते हैं. हम आप की यज्ञ में सर्वप्रथम आराधना करते हैं. आप घी से बढ़ते हैं. (८)

O agni! You are everywhere travelling and strong. Your host sons are eager to bring havi to you. You accept their sacrifices. You stop the destruction of energy. We worship you first in the yajna. You grow with ghee. (8)
अच्छा नः शीरशोचिषं गिरो यन्तु दर्शतम् । अच्छा यज्ञासो नमसा पुरूवसुं पुरुप्रशस्तमूतये ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप दर्शनीय व लपटों वाले हैं. हमारी वाणियां शीघ्र आप तक पहुंचें. आप यज्ञ में हमारा मार्ग प्रशस्त कीजिए. हम यज्ञ में आप को नमन करते हैं. आप बहुत प्रशंसनीय हैं. आप भलीभांति प्रज्वलित हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are visible and light. Let our promises reach you soon. You pave our way in the yagna. We bow to you in the yagna. You are very appreciative. You are well lit. (9)
अग्निँ सूनुँ सहसो जातवेदसं दानाय वार्याणाम् । द्विता यो भूदमृतो मर्त्येष्वा होता मन्द्रतमो विशि ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप अमर हैं. आप पृथ्वी पर अमृत स्वरूप हैं. आप यज्ञ को सफल बना कर आनंददायक हैं. आप को दान देने के लिए हम बारबार बुलाते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are immortal. You are the elixir form on earth. You are enjoyable by making the yajna a success. We call you again and again to donate. (10)
