अदाभ्यः पुरएता विशामग्निर्मानुषीणाम् । तूर्णी रथः सदा नवः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप मनुष्यों के पथप्रदर्शक, आगे चलने वाले, रथ के समान वेगवान व युवा हैं. आप को कोई नहीं दबा सकता है. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are the guide of human beings, the one who walks forward, as fast and young as a chariot. No one can press you. (1)
अभि प्रयाँसि वाहसा दाश्वाँ अश्नोति मर्त्यः । क्षयं पावकशोचिषः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप पवित्र, प्रकाशमान व हविवाहक हैं. हम हविदाता मनुष्य आप से अच्छा घर मांगते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are holy, bright and ill-mannered. We human beings ask you for a good home. (2)
साह्वान्विश्वा अभियुजः क्रतुर्देवानाममृक्तः । अग्निस्तुविश्रवस्तमः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप शत्रुओं की सेना को हराने वाले, दिव्यगुणदाता व भरपूर अन्नदाता हैं. हम आप को सभी अग्नियों सहित आमंत्रित करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are the destroyer of the army of enemies, the divine giver and the giver of abundant food. We invite you along with all the agnis. (3)
भद्रो नो अग्निराहुतो भद्रा रातिः सुभग भद्रो अध्वरः । भद्रा उत प्रशस्तयः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हम आप को आहुति देते हैं. आप हमारा कल्याण कीजिए. आप सौभाग्यशाली हैं. आप की कृपा हमें प्राप्त हो. हम कल्याणकारी स्तुतियां गा रहे हैं. आप हमारा कल्याण कीजिए. (४)
EN English Translation
O agni! We sacrifice you. You do us welfare. You are lucky. We receive your grace. We are singing welfare praises. You do us welfare. (4)
भद्रं मनः कृणुष्व वृत्रतूर्ये येना समत्सु सासहिः । अव स्थिरा तनुहि भूरि शर्धतां वनेमा ते अभिष्टये ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप हमारा मन कल्याणकारी बनाइए, पापमय विचारों व बुरी प्रवृत्तियों को दूर कीजिए. हम कल्याण के लिए आप की स्तुति करते हैं. आप हमें स्थिर बनाइए और हमें बहुत सा धन दीजिए. (५)
EN English Translation
O agni! You make our mind welfare, remove sinful thoughts and bad tendencies. We praise you for welfare. You make us stable and give us a lot of money. (5)
अग्ने वाजस्य गोमत ईशानः सहसो यहो । अस्मे देहि जातवेदो महि श्रवः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप बलवान, ईश्वर व गायों के स्वामी हैं. आप सब कुछ जानते हैं. आप हमें भरपूर वैभव प्रदान करने की कृपा कीजिए. (६)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are strong, God and swami of cows. You know everything. Please give us a lot of glory. (6)
स इधानो वसुष्कविरग्निरीडेन्यो गिरा । रेवदस्मभ्यं पुर्वणीक दीदिहि ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप सब के लिए आवासदाता हैं. ज्ञान से भरी स्तुति से आप की उपासना की जाती है. आप प्रकाशमान हैं. आप हमें प्रकाशमान संपदा दीजिए. (७)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are the giver of all. You are worshiped with praise full of knowledge. You are shining. You give us the vibrant wealth. (7)
क्षपो राजन्नुत त्मनाग्ने वस्तोरुतोषसः । स तिग्मजम्भ रक्षसो दह प्रति ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप प्रकाशमान हैं. आप दिनरात (हर समय) दुष्टों को पीड़ा पहुंचाइए. आप तेजस्वी हैं. आप राक्षसों को जला कर भस्म कर दीजिए. (८)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are shining. You torment the wicked day and night (all the time). You are stunning. You burn the demons and consume them. (8)
