अग्ने विवस्वदुषसश्चित्रँ राधो अमर्त्य । आ दाशुषे जातवेदो वहा त्वमद्या देवाँ उषर्बुधः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप अमर, सर्वज्ञाता और सर्वद्रष्टा हैं. आप उषा से अनेक प्रकार का धन प्राप्त कीजिए. उस धन को आप यजमान को प्रदान करने व विशेष रूप से जाग्रत देवों को यज्ञ में लाने की कृपा कीजिए. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are immortal, omniscient and omniscient. You get many types of money from Usha. Please give that money to the host and bring specially awakened gods to the yagna. (1)
जुष्टो हि दूतो असि हव्यवाहनोऽग्ने रथीरध्वराणाम् । सजूरश्विभ्यामुषसा सुवीर्यमस्मे धेहि श्रवो बृहत् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप देवदूत, हव्यवाहक व मार्गो के रथी हैं. आप उषा और अश्विनीकुमारों सहित हमें शक्तिशाली और यशस्वी बनाने की कृपा कीजिए. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are an angel, a divine carrier and a charioteer of the way. Please make us powerful and successful, including Usha and Ashwinikumars. (2)
विधुं दद्राणँ समने बहूनां युवानँ सन्तं पलितो जगार । देवस्य पश्य काव्यं महित्वाद्या ममार स ह्यः समान ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! भले ही कोई कई कार्य करने की क्षमता रखता हो, भले ही कोई कितना ही अधिक शत्रुनाशक हो, किंतु ऐसे युवा को भी वृद्धावस्था ग्रसित कर लेती है. वृद्धावस्था के बाद मृत्यु पाने वाला पुनः जन्म पा लेता है. यह सब इंद्र की कृपा से ही संभव है. हमें उन के इस महान कार्य को बारबार स्मरण करना चाहिए. (३)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Even if one has the ability to do many things, no matter how much a destroyer, such a young man also suffers from old age. After old age, the person who dies is born again. All this is possible only by the grace of Indra. We should remember this great work of his again and again. (3)
शाक्मना शाको अरुणः सुपर्ण आ यो महः शूरः सनादनीडः । यच्चिकेत सत्यमित्तन्न मोघं वसु स्पार्हमुत जेतोत दाता ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप दृढ़मन, सर्वशक्तिमान व सुपर्ण पक्षी के समान हैं. आप जो ठान लेते हैं, वही करते हैं. आप शक्तिपूर्वक जो वैभव प्राप्त करते हैं, उसे अपने उपासकों को दे देते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are like a strong, omnipotent and beautiful bird. You do what you decide. You give the glory you get powerfully to your worshippers. (4)
ऐभिर्ददे वृष्ण्या पौँस्यानि येभिरौक्षद्वृत्रहत्याय वज्री । ये कर्मणः क्रियमाणस्य मह्न ऋतेकर्ममुदजायन्त देवाः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप मरुद्गणों के सहयोग से पुरुषार्थपूर्ण काम करते हैं. आप वज्रधारी व वृत्रनाशक हैं. आप शत्रुनाश हेतु जलवृष्टि करते हैं. महान कार्य करने वाले अन्य देवता भी उन का सहयोग करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You do effortful work with the help of the deserts. You are vajradhari and vrikshmik. You rain water to destroy the enemy. Other gods who do great work also cooperate with them. (5)
अस्ति सोमो अयँ सुतः पिबन्त्यस्य मरुतः । उत स्वराजो अश्विना ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! सोमरस को मरुद्गणों के लिए निचोड़ा गया है. इसे मरुद्गण और अश्विनीकुमार सुरुचि से पीते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Mon! Someras has been squeezed for the Deserts. It is drank by Marudgan and Ashwinikumar suruchi. (6)
पिबन्ति मित्रो अर्यमा तना पूतस्य वरुणः । त्रिषधस्थस्य जावतः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! परिष्कृत किया हुआ सोमरस तीन बरतनों में रखा हुआ है. मित्र, अर्यमा और वरुण उस को पीने की कृपा करें. (७)
EN English Translation
O Mon! The refined somers is kept in three vessels. Friends, Aryama and Varuna please drink it. (7)
उतो न्वस्य जोषमा इन्द्रः सुतस्य गोमतः । प्रातर्होतेव मत्सति ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! प्रातः जैसे होता यज्ञ में उपासना करने की इच्छा रखते हैं, वैसे ही आप प्रातः सोमरस को पीने की इच्छा रखते हैं. वह परिष्कृत और गाय के दूध में मिला हुआ रहता है. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! As you wish to worship in the morning, you wish to drink Someras in the morning. It is refined and mixed with cow's milk. (8)
बण्महाँ असि सूर्य बडादित्य महाँ असि । महस्ते सतो महिमा पनिष्तम मह्ना देव महाँ असि ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सूर्य! आप महान हैं. हे प्रकाशकर्ता! आप महान हैं. हे स्तुत्य! आप महान हैं. हम आप की महानता की उपासना करते हैं. आप की महिमा महान है. (९)
EN English Translation
O sun! You are great. O light-maker! You are great. O praise! You are great. We worship your greatness. The glory of you is great. (9)
बट् सूर्य श्रवसा महाँ असि सत्रा देव महाँ असि । मह्ना देवानामसुर्यः पुरोहितो विभु ज्योतिरदाभ्यम् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सूर्य! आप का यश महान है. देवों में आप विशेष महान हैं. आप तम नाशक, देवताओं के नेता हैं. आप की ज्योति अमर व सर्वव्यापक है. (१०)
EN English Translation
O sun! Your fame is great. You are especially great in the gods. You are the leader of the tam destroyer, the gods. Your light is immortal and omnipresent. (10)
