पुमा॑न्पुं॒सोऽधि॑ तिष्ठ॒ चर्मे॑हि॒ तत्र॑ ह्वयस्व यत॒मा प्रि॒या ते॑ । याव॑न्ता॒वग्रे॑ प्रथ॒मं स॑मे॒यथु॒स्तद्वां॒ वयो॑ यम॒राज्ये॑ समा॒नम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पुरुषार्थ वाले पुरुष! तू इस पशु धर्म पर चढ़ जा. तू अपने प्रिय व्यक्तियों को भी बुला ले. पहले जितने पतिपात्नियों ने इस कार्य को किया, उन का और तुम्हारा समान फल हो. (१)
EN English Translation
O man of effort! You go ahead with this animal dharma. Call your loved ones too. May all the husbands who have done this work before have the same fruit and you. (1)
ताव॑द्वां॒ चक्षु॒स्तति॑ वी॒र्याणि॒ ताव॒त्तेज॑स्तति॒धा वाजि॑नानि । अ॒ग्निः शरी॑रं सचते य॒दैधो॑ऽधा प॒क्वान्मि॑थुना॒ सं भ॑वाथः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्वर्ग में तुम्हारे शरीरों को यह अग्नि ही संचित करेगी. उस समय तुम पक्व ओदन के प्रभाव से इसी रूप में स्वर्ग में होओगे. तुम से उत्पन्न शिशु को भी दर्शन शक्ति तथा उसी प्रकार का तेज प्राप्त होगा. यह शब्दात्मक यज्ञ भी इसी प्रकार अग्नि के योग्य होगा. (२)
EN English Translation
This agni will store your bodies in heaven. At that time you will be in heaven in this form under the influence of Pakva Odan. The child born of you will also get the power of vision and the same kind of radiance. This verbal yajna will also be worthy of agni in the same way. (2)
सम॑स्मिंल्लो॒के समु॑ देव॒याने॒ सं स्मा॑ स॒मेतं॑ यम॒राज्ये॑षु । पू॒तौ प॒वित्रै॒रुप॒ तद्ध्व॑येथां॒ यद्य॒द्रेतो॒ अधि॑ वां संब॒भूव॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इस ओदन के प्रभाव से इस लोक में तुम दोनों साथ रहो. तुम यम मार्ग में तथा यह मेरे यज्ञ में साथ ही रहो. इन पवित्र यज्ञों को पूरा करने के कारण तुम पवित्र हो चुके हो. तुम ने जिसजिस कार्य के लिए संकेत किया, तुम उन कमो के फल प्राप्त करो. (३)
EN English Translation
Stay together in this world with the effect of this odan. You stay with you on the way yama and it in my yajna. You have become pure because of the completion of these holy sacrifices. Whatever work you have indicated for, you receive the fruits of those people. (3)
आप॑स्पुत्रासो अ॒भि सं वि॑शध्वमि॒मं जी॒वं जी॑वधन्याः स॒मेत्य॑ । तासां॑ भजध्वम॒मृतं॒ यमा॒हुर्यमो॑द॒नं पच॑ति वां॒ जनि॑त्री ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पति और पत्नियो! तुम दीर्घरूपी जल हो. इस जीवन में धन्य होते हुए प्रवेश करो. तुम्हारा उत्पादन जल्द ही ओदन को पकाता है. तुम उसी जल के अमृतमय अंश का सेवन करो. (४)
EN English Translation
Husband and wife! You are long water. Enter this life blessed. Your produce soon cooks odan. You consume the nectar part of the same water. (4)
यं वां॑ पि॒ता पच॑ति॒ यं च॑ मा॒ता रि॒प्रान्निर्मु॑क्त्यै॒ शम॑लाच्च वा॒चः । स ओ॑द॒नः श॒तधा॑रः स्व॒र्ग उ॒भे व्याप॒ नभ॑सी महि॒त्वा ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
माता और पिता यदि वाणी जन्य पाप से अथवा अन्य पाप से निवृत्त होने के लिए ओदन पकाते हैं तो वह ओदन अपनी महिमा से स्वर्ग और द्यावा पृथ्वी में व्याप्त होता है. (५)
EN English Translation
If the mother and father cook odan to get rid of speech-borne sin or other sin, then that odan pervades heaven and dyava earth with its glory. (5)
उ॒भे नभ॑सी उ॒भयां॑श्च लो॒कान्ये यज्व॑नाम॒भिजि॑ताः स्व॒र्गाः । तेषां॒ ज्योति॑ष्मा॒न्मधु॑मा॒न्यो अग्रे॒ तस्मि॑न्पु॒त्रैर्ज॒रसि॒ सं श्र॑येथाम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पति और पत्नी! यजमान आकाश और पृथ्वी पर तथा जिन लोकों में अधिकार पाते हैं, उन में जो प्रकाशित और मधुमय लोक है. उस लोक को अथवा पृथ्वी और स्वर्ग दोनों लोकों को प्राप्त करो तथा संतान से संपन्न होते हुए वृद्धावस्था तक जीवित रहो. (६)
EN English Translation
Oh husband and wife! Among the worlds where the hosts have authority in the sky and the earth, there is a light and sweet world. Attain that world or both the worlds of earth and heaven and live until old age while being rich in children. (6)
प्राचीं॑प्राचीं प्र॒दिश॒मा र॑भेथामे॒तं लो॒कं श्र॒द्दधा॑नाः सचन्ते । यद्वां॑ प॒क्वं परि॑विष्टम॒ग्नौ तस्य॒ गुप्त॑ये दंपती॒ सं श्र॑येथाम् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पति और पत्नी! तुम पूर्व की ओर बढ़ो. उस स्वर्ग पर श्रद्धालु जन ही चढ़ पाते हैं. बुम ने जो पका हुआ ओदन अग्नि पर रखा है उस की रक्षा के लिए खड़े रहो. (७)
EN English Translation
O husband and wife! You move east. Only devotees can climb that heaven. Stand up to protect the ripe odan that Bum has placed on agni. (7)
दक्षि॑णां॒ दिश॑म॒भि नक्ष॑माणौ प॒र्याव॑र्तेथाम॒भि पात्र॑मे॒तत् । तस्मि॑न्वां य॒मः पि॒तृभिः॑ संविदा॒नः प॒क्वाय॒ शर्म॑ बहु॒लं नि य॑च्छात् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पति और पत्नी! तुम दक्षिण की ओर जा कर इस की प्रदक्षिणा करते हुए आओ. असमय पितरों से सहमत हुए यमराज तुम्हारे ओदन के लिए अनेक प्रकार के कल्याण प्रदान करें. (८)
EN English Translation
O husband and wife! You go south and come circumambulating it. Yamraj, who agreed with the untimely ancestors, should provide many types of welfare for your odan. (8)
प्र॒तीची॑ दि॒शामि॒यमिद्वरं॒ यस्यां॒ सोमो॑ अधि॒पा मृ॑डि॒ता च॑ । तस्यां॑ श्रयेथां सु॒कृतः॑ सचेथा॒मधा॑ प॒क्वान्मि॑थुना॒ सं भ॑वाथः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पश्चिम दिशा में स्वामी और सुख देने वाला व्योम है, इसलिए यह दिशा श्रेष्ठ मानी जाती है. तुम इस दिशा में पके हुए ओदन को रख कर पुण्य कमो का फल प्राप्त करो. फिर इस पके हुए ओदन के प्रभाव से तुम दोनों स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी पर प्रकट होओ. (९)
EN English Translation
In the west direction, there is a swami and happiness-giving vyom, so this direction is considered superior. You should keep the ripe odan in this direction and get the fruits of virtue. Then with the effect of this ripe odan, both of you appear in heaven and on earth. (9)
उत्त॑रं रा॒ष्ट्रं प्र॒जयो॑त्त॒राव॑द्दि॒शामुदी॑ची कृणवन्नो॒ अग्र॑म् । पाङ्क्तं॒ छन्दः॒ पुरु॑षो बभूव॒ विश्वै॑र्विश्वा॒ङ्गैः स॒ह सं भ॑वेम ॥ (१०)

उत्तर दिशा प्रजाओं से युक्त है. यह श्रेष्ठ दिशा हम को श्रेष्ठता प्रदान करे. पंक्ति छंद ओदन के रूप में प्रकट होता है. हम भी पृथ्वी और स्वर्ग को अपने सभी अंगों सहित प्राप्त हों. (१०)
EN English Translation
The north direction is full of subjects. May this best direction give us superiority. The line appears as verse odan. May we also receive earth and heaven with all our organs. (10)
ध्रु॒वेयं वि॒राण्नमो॑ अस्त्व॒स्यै शि॒वा पु॒त्रेभ्य॑ उ॒त मह्य॑मस्तु । सा नो॑ देव्यदिते विश्ववार॒ इर्य॑ इव गो॒पा अ॒भि र॑क्ष प॒क्वम् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह वरण करने योग्य तथा खंड न होने वाली पृथ्वी है. यह हमारे लिए सुख देने वाली हो. यह हमारे पुत्रों का मंगल करे तथा नियुक्त रक्षक के समान यह ओदन की रक्षा करे. (११)
EN English Translation
It is a selectable and non-fragmentable earth. It will give us happiness. May it bless our sons and protect odan like an appointed protector. (11)
पि॒तेव॑ पु॒त्रान॒भि सं स्व॑जस्व नः शि॒वा नो॒ वाता॑ इ॒ह वा॑न्तु॒ भूमौ॑ । यमो॑द॒नं पच॑तो दे॒वते॑ इ॒ह तं न॒स्तप॑ उ॒त स॒त्यं च॑ वेत्तु ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पृथ्वी! जिस प्रकार पिता अपने पुत्रों का आलिंगन करता है, उसी प्रकार तुम इस ओदन का आलिंगन करो. यहां मंगलमय वस्तु प्रवाहित हो. तुम हमारे ओदन को तपाओ तथा हमारे यथार्थ संकल्प को जानो. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Earth! Just as the father embraces his sons, so embrace this odana. Here the auspicious thing flows. You tap our udaan and know our true resolve. (12)
यद्य॑त्कृ॒ष्णः श॑कु॒न एह ग॒त्वा त्सर॒न्विष॑क्तं॒ बिल॑ आस॒साद॑ । यद्वा॑ दा॒स्या॒र्द्रह॑स्ता सम॒ङ्क्त उ॒लूख॑लं॒ मुस॑लं शुम्भतापः ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
कोवे ने कपट कर के इस में बिल बनाया हो अथवा दासी ने भीगे हुए हाथ से मूसल और उलूखल का स्पर्श कर लिया हो, तब भी यह मंगलकारक हो. (१३)
EN English Translation
Covey has fraudulently made a bill in it or the maid has touched the pestle and ulukhal with a wet hand, even then it is auspicious. (13)
अ॒यं ग्रावा॑ पृ॒थुबु॑ध्नो वयो॒धाः पू॒तः प॒वित्रै॒रप॑ हन्तु॒ रक्षः॑ । आ रो॑ह॒ चर्म॒ महि॒ शर्म॑ यच्छ॒ मा दंप॑ती॒ पौत्र॑म॒घं नि गा॑ताम् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह दृढ़ पाषाण हवि धारण करने वाला है. यह शुद्ध हो कर राक्षसों को नष्ट करे. हे ओदन! तू चरम पर आता हुआ कल्याण करने वाला हो. इस दंपती के पौत्र को उन का पाप न छू सके. (१४)
EN English Translation
It is going to hold a strong stone havi. It should be purified and destroy the demons. O O O O Son! You are the one who comes to the extreme and does good. The grandson of this couple could not touch their sin. (14)
वन॒स्पतिः॑ स॒ह दे॒वैर्न॒ आग॒न्रक्षः॑ पिशा॒चाँ अ॑प॒बाध॑मानः । स उच्छ्र॑यातै॒ प्र व॑दाति॒ वाचं॒ तेन॑ लो॒काँ अ॒भि सर्वा॑ञ्जयेम ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह वनस्पति राक्षसों और पिशाचों को रोकती हुई हम को प्राप्त हुई है. वह हमें उच्च स्वर वाला तथा सभी लोकों पर विजय प्राप्त करने वाला बनाए. (१५)
EN English Translation
This vegetation has received from preventing monsters and vampires to us. He should make us high-pitched and conquer all worlds. (15)
स॒प्त मेधा॑न्प॒शवः॒ पर्य॑गृह्ण॒न्य ए॑षां॒ ज्योति॑ष्माँ उ॒त यश्च॒कर्श॑ । त्रय॑स्त्रिंशद्दे॒वता॒स्तान्स॑चन्ते॒ स नः॑ स्व॒र्गम॒भि ने॑ष लो॒कम् ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इन चावलों में जो पतला, परंतु अधिक चमकता हुआ है, ऐसे सात चावलों को लोगों ने पशु के समान ग्रहण किया है. यह तैंतीस देवताओं के द्वारा सेवन करने योग्य है. यह ओदन हम को स्वर्ग में पहुंचाए. (१६)
EN English Translation
In these rice, which is thinner, but more shining, people have taken seven such rice as animals. It is worth consuming by thirty-three gods. May this odan bring us to heaven. (16)
स्व॒र्गं लो॒कम॒भि नो॑ नयासि॒ सं जा॒यया॑ स॒ह पु॒त्रैः स्या॑म । गृ॒ह्णामि॒ हस्त॒मनु॒ मैत्वत्र॒ मा न॑स्तारी॒न्निरृ॑ति॒र्मो अरा॑तिः ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ओदन! तू हमें स्वर्ग में लिए जा रहा है. वहां हम स्त्रीपुरुषों सहित प्रकट हों. पाप देवता निर्त्रति और शत्रु वहां हम को अपने वश में न करें इसलिए तू अनुगमन कर. मैं तेरे हाथ को पकड़ रहा हूं. (१७)
EN English Translation
O O O O Son! You are taking us to heaven. Let us appear there with men and women. Sin gods disinhibition and enemies should not subdue us there, so follow us. I'm holding your hand. (17)
ग्राहिं॑ पा॒प्मान॒मति॒ ताँ अ॑याम॒ तमो॒ व्यस्य॒ प्र व॑दासि व॒ल्गु । वा॑नस्प॒त्य उद्य॑तो॒ मा जि॑हिंसी॒र्मा त॑ण्डु॒लं वि श॑रीर्देव॒यन्त॑म् ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वनस्पति! तुम पाप से उत्पन्न होने वाले अंधकार को दूर करते हुए मधुर शब्द करती हो. हम अपने पापों से पार हो जाएं. यह वनस्पति मेरी हिंसा न करे और न मुझे देवमार्ग प्राप्त कराने वाले चावलों की हिंसा करे. (१८)
EN English Translation
O plant! You utter sweet words removing the darkness emanating from sin. Let us overcome our sins. This vegetation should not do me violence, nor should it violence me with the rice that gets me the path of God. (18)
वि॒श्वव्य॑चा घृ॒तपृ॑ष्ठो भवि॒ष्यन्त्सयो॑निर्लो॒कमुप॑ याह्ये॒तम् । व॒र्षवृ॑द्ध॒मुप॑ यच्छ॒ शूर्पं॒ तुषं॑ प॒लावा॒नप॒ तद्वि॑नक्तु ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ओदन! तू घृतपृष्ठ अर्थात् घी की पीठ वाला हो कर मत आ. तू परलोक में हमारे साथ प्रकट होने के लिए हमारे पास आ और वर्षा ऋतु में प्रवृद्ध उपकरण वाले रूप को प्राप्त हो. वह तुझ से भूसी को अलग करे. (१९)
EN English Translation
O O O O Son! Do not come to us with a ghritpeda i.e. the back of ghee. Come to us to appear with us in the hereafter and in the rainy season you will get the form of an old tool. He should separate the husk from you. (19)
त्रयो॑ लो॒काः संमि॑ता॒ ब्राह्म॑णेन॒ द्यौरे॒वासौ पृ॑थि॒व्यन्तरि॑क्षम् । अं॒शून्गृ॑भी॒त्वान्वार॑भेथा॒मा प्या॑यन्तां॒ पुन॒रा य॑न्तु॒ शूर्प॑म् ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
आकाश, अंतरिक्ष और पृथ्वी इन तीनों लोकों को ब्राह्मण प्राप्त कराता है. हे पति और पत्नी! तुम चावलों को फटकना आरंभ करो. यह धान उछालते हुए सूप को प्राप्त हो. (२०)
EN English Translation
The sky, space and earth get brahmins to these three worlds. O husband and wife! You start bursting the rice. This paddy should be received by the tossing soup. (20)
पृथ॑ग्रू॒पाणि॑ बहु॒धा प॑शू॒नामेक॑रूपो भवसि॒ सं समृ॑द्ध्या । ए॒तां त्वचं॒ लोहि॑नीं॒ तां नु॑दस्व॒ ग्रावा॑ शुम्भाति मल॒ग इ॑व॒ वस्त्रा॑ ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धान! पशु विभिन्न रूपों वाले होते हैं, परंतु तू एक ही रूप वाला है. तू पाषाण के द्वारा अपनी भूसी का त्याग कर. (२१)
EN English Translation
O paddy! Animals are of different forms, but you are of the same form. Give up your husk through stone. (21)
पृ॑थि॒वीं त्वा॑ पृथि॒व्यामा वे॑शयामि त॒नूः स॑मा॒नी विकृ॑ता त ए॒षा । यद्य॑द्द्यु॒त्तं लि॑खि॒तमर्प॑णेन॒ तेन॒ मा सु॑स्रो॒र्ब्रह्म॒णापि॒ तद्व॑पामि ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मूसल! तू पृथ्वी का बना हुआ है. इसलिए तू पृथ्वी ही है. पृथ्वी की तथा तेरी देह एक समान है. इसलिए मैं पृः ही पृथ्वी पर मार रहा हूं. हे ओदन! मूसल के प्राप्त होने से तेरे अंग में जो पीड़ा हो रही है, उस पीड़ा से तू भूसी से अलग हो कर छूट जा. मैं तुझे मंत्र द्वारा अग्नि को अर्पित करता हूं. (२२)
EN English Translation
O pestle! You are made of the earth. That's why you are the earth. The earth and your body are the same. That's why I'm hitting the earth on earth. O O O O Son! You should be separated from the husk from the pain that is happening in your limb due to the receipt of the pestle. I offer you to agni by mantra. (22)
जनि॑त्रीव॒ प्रति॑ हर्यासि सू॒नुं सं त्वा॑ दधामि पृथि॒वीं पृ॑थि॒व्या । उ॒खा कु॒म्भी वेद्यां॒ मा व्य॑थिष्ठा यज्ञायु॒धैराज्ये॒नाति॑षक्ता ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
माता जिस प्रकार अपने पुत्र को प्राप्त करती है, उसी प्रकार मैं मूसल रूपी पृथ्वी को पृथ्वी से मिलाता हूं. वेदी में भी ओखली रूपी कुंभी अर्थात् पकाने वाला पात्र है, इसलिए तू व्यथित मत हो. तू यज्ञ के आयुधों द्वारा घृत से युक्त की जा चुकी है. (२३)
EN English Translation
Just as a mother receives her son, so I mix the earth in the form of pestle with the earth. Even in the altar, there is an aquarium in the form of okhla, so do not be distressed. You have been adorned with ghee by the weapons of the yajna. (23)
अ॒ग्निः पच॑न्रक्षतु त्वा पु॒रस्ता॒दिन्द्रो॑ रक्षतु दक्षिण॒तो म॒रुत्वा॑न् । वरु॑णस्त्वा दृंहाद्ध॒रुणे॑ प्र॒तीच्या॑ उत्त॒रात्त्वा॒ सोमः॒ सं द॑दातै ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि पाचन अर्थात् पकाने के कर्म में तेरी रक्षक हो. इंद्र पूर्व से, मरुद्गण दक्षिण से, वरुण पश्चिम से तथा सोम उत्तर दिशा की ओर से तेरी रक्षा करें. (२४)
EN English Translation
May agni be your protector in digestion. Indra protect you from the east, Marudgan from the south, Varuna from the west and Soma from the north direction. (24)
पू॒ताः प॒वित्रैः॑ पवन्ते अ॒भ्राद्दिवं॑ च॒ यन्ति॑ पृथि॒वीं च॑ लो॒कान् । ता जी॑व॒ला जी॒वध॑न्याः प्रति॒ष्ठाः पात्र॒ आसि॑क्ताः॒ पर्य॒ग्निरि॑न्धाम् ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पुण्य कर्मो द्वारा शुद्ध हुए जल तुझे शुद्ध करने वाले हों. वे मेघों द्वारा आकाश में जाते और फिर पृथ्वी पर आ कर मनुष्यों की सेवा करते हैं. जल पृथ्वी से पुनः अंतरिक्ष में पहुंचते हैं तथा प्राणियों को सुखी करने वाले पात्र में स्थित होते हैं. अग्नि इन आसक्त होने वाले जलों को सभी ओर दीप्त करें. (२५)
EN English Translation
May the water purified by virtuous deeds purify you. They go to the sky through clouds and then come to earth and serve humans. Water reaches space again from earth and is located in the vessel that makes the creatures happy. Light up these attached waters on all sides. (25)
आ य॑न्ति दि॒वः पृ॑थि॒वीं स॑चन्ते॒ भूम्याः॑ सचन्ते॒ अध्य॒न्तरि॑क्षम् । शु॒द्धाः स॒तीस्ता उ॑ शुम्भन्त ए॒व ता नः॑ स्व॒र्गम॒भि लो॒कं न॑यन्तु ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
आकाश से आने वाले ये जल पृथ्वी की सेवा करते हैं तथा पृथ्वी से पुनः आकाश में पहुंचते हैं. ये पवित्र जल पवित्रता देने वाले हैं. ये जल हम को स्वर्ग की प्राप्ति कराएं. (२६)
EN English Translation
These waters coming from the sky serve the earth and reach the sky again from the earth. These holy waters are pure. May this water bring us to heaven. (26)
उ॒तेव॑ प्र॒भ्वीरु॒त संमि॑तास उ॒त शु॒क्राः शुच॑यश्चा॒मृता॑सः । ता ओ॑द॒नं दंप॑तिभ्यां॒ प्रशि॑ष्टा॒ आपः॒ शिक्ष॑न्तीः पचता सुनाथाः ॥ (२७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये जल श्वेत रंग वाले, दमकते हुए एवं अमृत के समान हैं. हे जलो! इस दंपती द्वारा डाले जाने पर ओदन को शुद्ध करते हुए पकाओ. (२७)
EN English Translation
These waters are white in color, shining and nectar-like. O burn! When poured by this couple, cook the odan purifying it. (27)
संख्या॑ता स्तो॒काः पृ॑थि॒वीं स॑चन्ते प्राणापा॒नैः संमि॑ता॒ ओष॑धीभिः । असं॑ख्याता ओ॒प्यमा॑नाः सु॒वर्णाः॒ सर्वं॒ व्यापुः॒ शुच॑यः शुचि॒त्वम् ॥ (२८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्राण, अपान तथा समान स्वरूप ओषधियों से युक्त पृथ्वी का सेचन करते हैं और शोभन वर्ण वाले जीवों में प्रविष्ट असंख्य जल शुद्धता देते हुए प्राप्त होते हैं. (२८)
EN English Translation
Prana, Apana and similar forms irrigate the earth with medicines and get the innumerable water entered by the animals with the golden color, giving purity. (28)
उद्यो॑धन्त्य॒भि व॑ल्गन्ति त॒प्ताः फेन॑मस्यन्ति बहु॒लांश्च॑ बि॒न्दून् । योषे॑व दृ॒ष्ट्वा पति॒मृत्वि॑यायै॒तैस्त॑ण्डु॒लैर्भ॑वता॒ समा॑पः ॥ (२९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ताप देने पर ये जल शब्द करते हैं तथा बूंदों को उड़ाते हुए युद्ध सा करते हैं. हे जलो! जिस प्रकार पति को देख कर पत्नी उस से मिल जाती है, उसी प्रकार तुम ऋतु में होने वाले यज्ञ के निमित्त चावलों में मिल जाओ. (२९)
EN English Translation
When heated, they do the word water and fly the droplets and fight. O burn! Just as the wife meets the husband after seeing him, in the same way, you should join the rice for the yagna in the season. (29)
उत्था॑पय॒ सीद॑तो बु॒ध्न ए॑नान॒द्भिरा॒त्मान॑म॒भि सं स्पृ॑शन्ताम् । अमा॑सि॒ पात्रै॑रुद॒कं यदे॒तन्मि॒तास्त॑ण्डु॒लाः प्र॒दिशो॒ यदी॒माः ॥ (३०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ओदन की अधिष्ठात्री देवी! मूसल की जड़ से व्यथित होते हुए इन चावलों को उठाओ. ये जल से मिलें. हे यजमान! तू जल को पात्रों द्वारा नाप रहा है. इधर ये चावल भी नप गए हैं. इन्हें जल में डालने की अनुज्ञा प्रदान कर. (३०)
EN English Translation
O Goddess of Odan! Pick up these rice while being distressed by the root of the pestle. Meet these water. O host! You are measuring water through vessels. Here these rice have also been boiled. By allowing them to be put in water. (30)
