उद॑स्य के॒तवो॑ दि॒वि शु॒क्रा भ्राज॑न्त ईरते । आ॑दि॒त्यस्य॑ नृ॒चक्ष॑सो॒ महि॑व्रतस्य मी॒ढुषः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
महान कर्म करने वाले, सेचन करने वाले और समर्थ एवं साक्षी रूप सूर्य की निर्मल रश्मियां आकाश में चमकती हैं और सूर्य को ऊपर उठाती हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
The pure rays of the sun, who do great deeds, those who do good deeds and are capable and witness, shine in the sky and lift the sun up. (1)
य इ॒मे द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी ज॒जान॒ यो द्रापिं॑ कृ॒त्वा भुव॑नानि॒ वस्ते॑ । यस्मि॑न्क्षि॒यन्ति॑ प्र॒दिशः॒ षडु॒र्वीर्याः प॑त॒ङ्गो अनु॑ वि॒चाक॑शीति । तस्य॑ दे॒वस्य॑ क्रु॒द्धस्यै॒तदागो॒ य ए॒वं वि॒द्वांसं॑ ब्राह्म॒णं जि॒नाति॑ । उद्वे॑पय रोहित॒ प्र क्षि॑णीहि ब्रह्म॒ज्यस्य॒ प्रति॑ मुञ्च॒ पाशा॑न् ॥ (१)

इस आकाश और पृथ्वी को उन्होंने प्रकट किया जो सभी लोकों को आच्छादित करते हैं, जिन में छह उर्वियां और दिशाएं निवास करती हैं. जिन दिशाओं को वे ही प्रकाशित करते हैं, उन क्रोधपूर्ण सूर्य का जो अपमान करता है अथवा विद्वान् ब्राह्मण की हिंसा करता है अथवा कष्ट देता है, हे रोहित देव! तुम उस को कंपित करो तथा उसे क्षीण करते हुए बंधन में डाल दो. EN English Translation
He revealed this sky and earth that covers all the worlds, in which six bodies and directions reside. The directions he illuminates, the angry sun that insults the learned Brahmin, who commits violence or suffering, O Rohit Dev! You make him tremble and weaken him and put him in bondage. (1)

वे सूर्य आकाश की पीठ पर दमकते हुए आते हैं. (१)

They come with the sun shining on the back of the sky. (1)
की॒र्तिश्च॒ यश॒श्चाम्भ॑श्च॒ नभ॑श्च ब्राह्मणवर्च॒सं चान्नं॑ चा॒न्नाद्यं॑ च । य ए॒तं दे॒वमे॑क॒वृतं॒ वेद॑ ॥ (१)

कीर्ति, यश, आकाश, जल, ब्रह्मवर्चस् अर्थात् ब्रह्म तेज अन्न और अन्न को पचाने की क्रिया उसे ही प्राप्त होती है, जो इन एकवृत अर्थात् ब्रह्म का ज्ञाता है. (१)

He gets the action of digesting fame, fame, sky, water, Brahmavarchas i.e. Brahma tej food and food, which is the knower of these ekvrit i.e. Brahma. (1)

ब्रह्म, तप, कीर्ति, यश, जल, आकाश, ब्रह्मचर्य, अन्न और अन्न को पचाने की शक्ति व भूत, भविष्य, श्रद्धा, रुचि, स्वर्ग और स्वधा-ये सभी उस एक वृत अर्थात् ब्रह्म के ज्ञाता को प्राप्त होते हैं. (१)

Brahma, glory, fame, water, sky, celibacy, food, the power to digest food and past, future, faith, goal, heaven, self - all these are attained by the knower of Brahma. (1)

उस से दिन प्रकट हुआ और वह दिन से प्रकट हुआ. (१)

From him the day appeared and he appeared from the day. (1)
भूया॒निन्द्रो॑ नमु॒राद्भूया॑निन्द्रासि मृ॒त्युभ्यः॑ ॥ (१)

वे इंद्र नमुर से श्रेष्ठ हैं. हे इंद्र! तुम मृत्यु के कारणों से भी उत्कृष्ट हो. (१)

He is superior to Indra Namur. O Indra! You are also excellent at the causes of death. (1)

उ॒देहि॑ वाजि॒न्यो अ॒प्स्वन्तरि॒दं रा॒ष्ट्रं प्र वि॑श सू॒नृता॑वत् । यो रोहि॑तो॒ विश्व॑मि॒दं ज॒जान॒ स त्वा॑ रा॒ष्ट्राय॒ सुभृ॑तं बिभर्तु ॥ (१)

हे सूर्य! तुम अंतरिक्ष में क्यों छिपे हो, तुम उदय प्राप्त करो. तुम सत्य और प्रिय वाणी से युक्त हो कर यहां आओ. इस प्रकार के सूर्य देव ने संसार का प्रकाशन किया. सूर्य देव तुम्हें राष्ट्र के भरणकर्ता के रूप में पुष्ट करे. (१)
EN English Translation
O sun! Why are you hiding in space, you get rise. Come here with truth and love speech. This kind of Sun God illuminated the world. May the Sun God strengthen you as the destroyer of the nation. (1)
दि॒शां प्र॒ज्ञानां॑ स्व॒रय॑न्तम॒र्चिषा॑ सुप॒क्षमा॒शुं प॒तय॑न्तमर्ण॒वे । स्तवा॑म॒ सूर्यं॒ भुव॑नस्य गो॒पां यो र॒श्मिभि॒र्दिश॑ आ॒भाति॒ सर्वाः॑ ॥ (२)

हम ज्ञानमयी दिशाओं में अपने तेज से शब्द भरने वाले, सुंदर पंखों वाले, अपनी रश्मियों से प्रकाश देने वाले तथा लोकों के रक्षक सूर्य की स्तुति करते हैं. (२)

We praise the sun, who fills words with its glory in the directions of knowledge, with beautiful wings, who gives light with our rays and the protector of the worlds. (2)
यस्मा॒द्वाता॑ ऋतु॒था पव॑न्ते॒ यस्मा॑त्समु॒द्रा अधि॑ वि॒क्षर॑न्ति । तस्य॑ दे॒वस्य॑ क्रु॒द्धस्यै॒तदागो॒ य ए॒वं वि॒द्वांसं॑ ब्राह्म॒णं जि॒नाति॑ । उद्वे॑पय रोहित॒ प्र क्षि॑णीहि ब्रह्म॒ज्यस्य॒ प्रति॑ मुञ्च॒ पाशा॑न् ॥ (२)

जिस देवता के प्रभाव से वायु ऋतुओं के अनुसार चलती है तथा समुद्र प्रभावित होते हैं, क्रोध में भरे हुए सूर्य का जो अपमान करता है अथवा विद्वान् ब्राह्मण की हिंसा करता है, हे रोहित देव! उस ब्रह्मघाती को कंपित करते हुए क्षीण करो और बंधन में डाल दो. (२)
EN English Translation
The deity under whose influence the air moves according to the seasons and the seas are affected, who insults the sun full of anger or does violence to the learned Brahmin, O Rohit Dev! Weaken that brahmaghati by staggering and put it in bondage. (2)

सूर्य ने अपनी रश्मियों से आकाश को ढक दिया है. सूर्य रश्मियों से युक्त हैं. (२)

The sun has covered the sky with its rays. The Sun is full of rays. (2)
न द्वि॒तीयो॒ न तृ॒तीय॑श्चतु॒र्थो नाप्यु॑च्यते । य ए॒तं दे॒वमे॑क॒वृतं॒ वेद॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इन एकवृत अर्थात् ब्रह्म का ज्ञाता द्वितीय, तृतीय चतुर्थ नहीं कहलाता. (२)

These ekvrit i.e. the knower of Brahman is not called second, third fourth. (2)
भू॒तं च॒ भव्यं॑ च श्र॒द्धा च॒ रुचि॑श्च स्व॒र्गश्च॑ स्व॒धा च॑ ॥ (२)

रात्रि उन्हीं ब्रह्म से प्रकट हुई और वे रात्रि से उत्पन्न हुए. (२)

The night appeared from the same Brahman and he was born from the night. (2)
भूया॒नरा॑त्याः॒ शच्याः॒ पति॒स्त्वमि॑न्द्रासि वि॒भूः प्र॒भूरिति॒ त्वोपा॑स्महे व॒यम् ॥ (२)

हे इंद्र! तुम शत्रुओं की अपेक्षा महान हो. तुम शक्ति के पति हो, तुम व्यापक और स्वामी हो. इस प्रकार के तुम्हारी हम उपासना करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are greater than enemies. You are the husband of power, you are comprehensive and master. This is the kind of worship we worship you. (2)

आप महान, विस्तृत, उत्तम होने वाले एवं सामर्थ्य रूप हैं. हे शोभन! आप को नमस्ते, हे दर्शनीय! आप मुझे देखें, आप हमें अन्न, यश तेज तथा ब्रह्मवर्चस प्रदान करें. हम आप की उपासना करते हैं. (२)

You are great, detailed, good and powerful. O Shobhan! Hello to you, O visible! You see me, you give us food, fame and brahmavarchas. We worship you. (2)
उद्वाज॒ आ ग॒न्यो अ॒प्स्वन्तर्विश॒ आ रो॑ह॒ त्वद्यो॑नयो॒ याः । सोमं॒ दधा॑नो॒ऽप ओष॑धी॒र्गाश्चतु॑ष्पदो द्वि॒पद॒ आ वे॑शये॒ह ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सूर्य! जल में रहने वाली जो प्रजाएं तथा जलप्रद अन्न हैं, वे तुम्हारे पास आएं. तुम जल पर चढ़ो और सोम को धारण करते हुए जल, ओषधि तथा दो पैरों वाले मनुष्यों और चार पैरों वाले पशुओं को इस राष्ट्र में प्रविष्ट करो. (२)

O sun! Let the people who live in water and the water-rich food come to you. You climb on the water and enter this nation with water, medicines and two-legged humans and four-legged animals, wearing Soma. (2)
यत्प्राङ्प्र॒त्यङ्स्व॒धया॒ यासि॒ शीभं॒ नाना॑रूपे॒ अह॑नी॒ कर्षि॑ मा॒यया॑ । तदा॑दित्य॒ महि॒ तत्ते॒ महि॒ श्रवो॒ यदेको॒ विश्वं॒ परि॒ भूम॒ जाय॑से ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सूर्य देव! तुम अन्नमय स्वधा अर्थात् हवियों के साथ पूर्व और पश्चिम दिशाओं को गमन करते हो. तुम अपने तेज से दिवस और रात्रि को भिन्नभिन्न रूपों वाला बनाते हो. हे सूर्य देव! यह तुम्हारी बहुत बड़ी महिमा है, जो तुम अकेले पूरे संसार को प्रभावित करते हो. (३)
EN English Translation
O Sun God! You travel in the east and west directions with annamaya swadha i.e. havis. You make day and night different with your radiance. O Sun God! This is your great glory, which you alone affect the whole world. (3)
यो मा॒रय॑ति प्रा॒णय॑ति॒ यस्मा॑त्प्रा॒णन्ति॒ भुव॑नानि॒ विश्वा॑ । तस्य॑ दे॒वस्य॑ क्रु॒द्धस्यै॒तदागो॒ य ए॒वं वि॒द्वांसं॑ ब्राह्म॒णं जि॒नाति॑ । उद्वे॑पय रोहित॒ प्र क्षि॑णीहि ब्रह्म॒ज्यस्य॒ प्रति॑ मुञ्च॒ पाशा॑न् ॥ (३)

जो मनुष्य में प्राण भरते हैं, जो मनुष्य की हिंसा करते हैं, उन के द्वारा सभी प्राणी श्वास लेते और प्रश्नास के रूप में छोड़ते हैं, क्रोध में भरे उस देवता का जो अपमान करता है अथवा विद्वान् ब्राह्मण की हिंसा करता है, उस ब्रह्मघाती को कंपित करते हुए हे रोहित देव! क्षीण करो एवं बंधन में डालो. (३)

Those who infuse life in man, through those who commit violence against man, all beings breathe and leave in the form of question, who insults that god full of anger or commits violence of a learned Brahmin, trembling that Brahmaghati, O Rohit Dev! Weaken and put in bondage. (3)

वह धाता है, विधाता है तथा वही वायु है, जिस ने आकाश को ऊंचा बनाया है. (३)
EN English Translation
He is the runner, the creator, and he is the air that has made the sky high. (3)
न प॑ञ्च॒मो न ष॒ष्ठः स॑प्त॒मो नाप्यु॑च्यते । य ए॒तं दे॒वमे॑क॒वृतं॒ वेद॑ ॥ (३)

इन एकवृत अर्थात् ब्रह्म का ज्ञाता पंचम, षष्ठ अथवा सप्तम नहीं कहलाता है. (३)

यू॒यमु॒ग्रा म॑रुतः पृश्निमातर॒ इन्द्रे॑ण यु॒जा प्र मृ॑णीत॒ शत्रू॑न् । आ वो॒ रोहि॑तः शृणवत्सुदानवस्त्रिष॒प्तासो॑ मरुतः स्वादुसंमुदः ॥ (३)

हे मरुद्गण! तुम इंद्र के सखा हो. तुम शत्रुओं का नाश करो. तुम स्वादिष्ट पदार्थो से प्रसन्न होने वाले हो और सुंदर वर्षा प्रदान करते हो. सूर्य तुम्हारी बात सुनें. (३)

O Desertion! You are Indra's friend. Destroy your enemies. You are going to be happy with delicious foods and provide beautiful rain. Sun listen to you. (3)
वि॑प॒श्चितं॑ त॒रणिं॒ भ्राज॑मानं॒ वह॑न्ति॒ यं ह॒रितः॑ स॒प्त ब॒ह्वीः । स्रु॒ताद्यमत्त्रि॒र्दिव॑मुन्नि॒नाय॒ तं त्वा॑ पश्यन्ति परि॒यान्त॑मा॒जिम् ॥ (४)

सात तेजस्वी किरणें सूर्य के प्रकाश को प्रभावशाली बनाती हैं. ज्ञानीजन इस का महत्त्व जानते हैं. ये सूर्य द्युलोक पर चढ़ कर अपना तेज सर्वत्र फैलाते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
Seven stunning rays make sunlight effective. The wise know the importance of this. These suns climb on the world and spread their brightness everywhere. (4)
यः प्राणे॑न॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी त॒र्पय॑त्यपा॒नेन॑ समु॒द्रस्य॑ ज॒ठरं॒ यः पिप॑र्ति । तस्य॑ दे॒वस्य॑ क्रु॒द्धस्यै॒तदागो॒ य ए॒वं वि॒द्वांसं॑ ब्राह्म॒णं जि॒नाति॑ । उद्वे॑पय रोहित॒ प्र क्षि॑णीहि ब्रह्म॒ज्यस्य॒ प्रति॑ मुञ्च॒ पाशा॑न् ॥ (४)

जो देवता प्राण, आकाश और पृथ्वी को तृप्त करता है तथा अपमान से समुद्र के पेट को पालता है, क्रोध में भरे उस के अपराधी और विद्वान् ब्राह्मण के हिंसक को हे रोहित देव कंपित करते हुए क्षीण बनाओ एवं बंधन में डालो. (४)
EN English Translation
The god who satisfies the life, the sky and the earth and nurtures the stomach of the sea with humiliation, make the violent of his criminal and learned Brahmin filled in anger, O Rohit Dev, staggering and put it in bondage. (4)

वही अर्यमा, वही वरुण, वही रुद्र और वही महादेव है. (४)
EN English Translation
The same Is Aryama, the same Varun, the same Rudra and the same Mahadev. (4)
