इ॒यं नारी॑पतिलो॒कं वृ॑णा॒ना नि प॑द्यत॒ उप॑ त्वा मर्त्य॒ प्रेत॑म् । धर्मं॑पुरा॒णम॑नुपा॒लय॑न्ती॒ तस्यै॑ प्र॒जां द्रवि॑णं चे॒ह धे॑हि ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह स्त्री धर्म का पालन करने के लिए तेरे दान आदि की इच्छा करती हुई तेरे समीप आती है. इस प्रकार तेरा अनुकरण करने वाली इस स्त्री को तू अगले जन्म में भी संतान वाली बनाना. (१)
EN English Translation
This woman comes close to you wishing for your charity etc. to follow dharma. In this way, you should make this woman who follows you with children in the next life. (1)
आ रो॑हत॒जनि॑त्रीं जातवेदसः पितृ॒याणैः॒ सं व॒ आ रो॑हयामि । अवा॑ड्ढ॒व्येषि॒तो ह॑व्यवा॒हई॑जा॒नं यु॒क्ताः सु॒कृतां॑ धत्त लो॒के ॥ (१)

हे अग्नियो! तुम अपनी उत्पन्न करने वाली के पास पहुंचो. मैं तुम्हें पितृयान मार्गो से वहां भलीभांति पहुंचाता हूं. हव्यों के वाहक अग्नि हव्यों को वहन करते हैं. हे अग्नियो! तुम मिल कर यज्ञकर्ताओं को श्रेष्ठ कर्म करने वालों के लोकों में पहुंचाओ. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! You reach out to your creator. I take you there well through pitrayana routes. The carriers of the havyas carry the agni havyas. O agni! Together, bring the yajnayas to the worlds of those who do the best deeds. (1)
ओ चि॒त्सखा॑यंस॒ख्या व॑वृत्यां ति॒रः पु॒रु चि॑दर्ण॒वं ज॑ग॒न्वान् । पि॒तुर्नपा॑त॒मा द॑धीतवे॒धा अधि॒ क्षमि॑ प्रत॒रं दीध्या॑नः ॥ (१)

यमी का कथन-मैं समान प्रसिद्धि वाले मित्र यम को आदर भाव के अनुकूल बनाती हूं. समुद्र तट के समीप वाले द्वीप में चलते हुए यम अपने पुत्र को मुझ में स्थापित करें. हे यम! तुम्हारी प्रसिद्धि सभी लोकों में है. तुम सदा तेज से दीप्त रहो. (१)
EN English Translation
Yami's statement - I make Yama, a friend of equal fame, suited to respect. Yama should establish his son in me while walking in the island near the beach. O Yama! Your fame is in all worlds. May you always be bright. (1)
य॒माय॒ सोमः॑पवते य॒माय॑ क्रियते ह॒विः । य॒मं ह॑ य॒ज्ञो ग॑च्छत्य॒ग्निदू॑तो॒ अरं॑कृतः ॥ (१)

यज्ञ में यम के लिए सोम को पवित्र किया जाता है. यम के लिए हवि दी जाती है. नाना प्रकार के द्रव्यों से सुशोभित किया गया यज्ञ अग्नि को दूत बना कर यम के पास जाता है. ये ज्योतिष्टोम आदि यज्ञ यम को प्राप्त होते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Som is sanctified for Yama in the yajna. Havi is given for Yama. The yajna, adorned with various types of liquids, goes to Yama by making agni an angel. These jyotishtoms etc. are received by Yama. (1)
उदी॑र्ष्वनार्य॒भि जी॑वलो॒कं ग॒तासु॑मे॒तमुप॑ शेष॒ एहि॑ । ह॑स्तग्रा॒भस्य॑ दधि॒षोस्तवे॒दंपत्यु॑र्जनि॒त्वम॒भि सं ब॑भूथ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे नारी! तू इस प्राणहीन पति के पास बैठी है. अब तू इस के पास से उठ. तू अपने पति से उत्पन्न हुए पुत्र, पौत्र आदि को प्राप्त हो गई है. (२)
EN English Translation
O woman! You are sitting next to this lifeless husband. Now you get up from this. You have received a son, grandson, etc. born from your husband. (2)
दे॒वाय॒ज्ञमृ॒तवः॑ कल्पयन्ति ह॒विः पु॑रो॒डाशं॑ स्रु॒चो य॑ज्ञायु॒धानि॑ । तेभि॒र्याहि॑ प॒थिभि॑र्देव॒यानै॒र्यैरी॑जा॒नाः स्व॒र्गं य॑न्ति लो॒कम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवगण और वसंत आदि ऋतुएं अनेक प्रकार के यज्ञों की रचना करते हैं. इस यज्ञ में डालने के लिए घृत आदि से बनाए हुए पदार्थों को अग्ने में डालने के लिए चमचे की आकृति के अनेक पात्र बनाते हैं. हे मनुष्य! उन देवयान मार्गो अर्थात् यज्ञ करने की विधियों से तू नित्य प्रति यज्ञ कर. इन देवयान मार्गो से यज्ञ करने वाले जन स्वर्गलोक जाते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
The seasons of devgan and spring etc. create many types of yagyas. To put in this yajna, many characters of the shape of a spoon are made to put the substances made from ghee etc. in the agni. O man! With those Devayana paths, that is, by the methods of performing yajna, you should always perform yajna. People who perform yajna through these Devayan routes go to heaven. (2)
न ते॒ सखा॑स॒ख्यं व॑ष्ट्ये॒तत्सल॑क्ष्मा॒ यद्विषु॑रूपा॒ भव॑ति । म॒हस्पु॒त्रासो॒ असु॑रस्यवी॒रा दि॒वो ध॒र्तार॑ उर्वि॒या परि॑ ख्यन् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यम का कथन-मैं तेरा सोदर अर्थात् एक ही पेट से उत्पन्न हुआ तेरा मित्र हूं. पर मैं भाई और बहन के समागम संबंधी मित्र भाव की इच्छा नहीं करता हूं. तू एक उदर से उत्पन्न हो कर भी मेरी पत्नी बनने की कामना करती है. मैं ऐसे मित्रभाव को स्वीकार नहीं करता हूं शत्रुओं को दबाने वाले महाबली रुद्र के पुत्र मरुद्गण भी इस की निंदा करेंगे. (२)
EN English Translation
Yama's statement - I am your friend born from your son i.e. one stomach. But I do not wish to be friends with brother and sister. You are born from one stomach and wish to be my wife. I do not accept such friendship, marudgans, sons of Mahabali Rudra, who suppress enemies, will also condemn it. (2)
य॒माय॒मधु॑मत्तमं जु॒होता॒ प्र च॑ तिष्ठत । इ॒दं नम॒ ऋषि॑भ्यः पूर्व॒जेभ्यः॒पूर्वे॑भ्यः पथि॒कृद्भ्यः॑ ॥ (२)

हे यजमानो! यम के लिए सोम, घृत आदि की आहुति दो. पूर्व पुरुषों तथा मंत्र द्रष्टा अंगिरा आदि ऋषियों के लिए नमस्कार है. (२)

O hosts! Offer Soma, Ghrit etc. for Yama. Salutations to former men and mantra seers Angira etc. (2)
अप॑श्यं युव॒तिंनी॒यमा॑नां जी॒वां मृ॒तेभ्यः॑ परिणी॒यमा॑नाम् । अ॒न्धेन॒ यत्तम॑सा॒प्रावृ॒तासी॑त्प्रा॒क्तो अपा॑चीमनयं॒ तदे॑नाम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं तरुण अवस्था वाली जीवित गौ को मृतक के समीप ले जाई जाती हुई देखता हूं. यह भी आज्ञान से ढकी हुई है, इसलिए मैं इसे शव के पास से हटा कर अपने सामने लाता हूं. (३)
EN English Translation
I see a young cow being taken near the deceased. It is also covered with command, so I remove it from the body and bring it in front of me. (3)
ऋ॒तस्य॒पन्था॒मनु॑ पश्य सा॒ध्वङ्गि॑रसः सु॒कृतो॒ येन॒ यन्ति॑ । तेभि॒र्याहि॑ प॒थिभिः॑स्व॒र्गं यत्रा॑दि॒त्या मधु॑ भ॒क्षय॑न्ति तृ॒तीये॒ नाके॒ अधि॒ वि श्र॑यस्व ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे प्रेत! तू सत्य के कारण रूप मार्गो को भलीभांति जानता हुआ महर्षि अंगिरस आदि के स्वर्ग को जा, जिस मार्ग में अदिति के पुत्र देवगण अमृत का सेवन करते हैं. तू उस तीसरे स्वर्ग में निवास कर. (३)
EN English Translation
O ghost! You know the forms well because of the truth and go to the heaven of Maharishi Angiras etc., in which Aditi's sons eat nectar. Dwell in that third heaven. (3)
उ॒शन्ति॑ घा॒ तेअ॒मृता॑स ए॒तदेक॑स्य चित्त्य॒जसं॒ मर्त्य॑स्य । नि ते॒ मनो॒ मन॑सि धाय्य॒स्मेजन्युः॒ पति॑स्त॒न्वमा वि॑विष्याः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यमी-हे यम! मरुद्गण उस मार्ग की इच्छा करते हैं, जिस का मैं ने तुम से निवेदन किया है. इसलिए तुम अपने मन को मेरी ओर लगाओ. फिर तुम संतान को उत्पन्न करने वाले मेरे पति बनते हुए भाई के भाव को छोड़ कर मुझ में प्रविष्ट हो जाओ. (३)
EN English Translation
Yami- O Yama! The Deserts desire the way I have requested you. So you turn your mind to me. Then you become my husband who produces children and leave the feeling of brother and enter me. (3)
य॑मायघृ॒तव॒त्पयो॒ राज्ञे॑ ह॒विर्जु॑होतन । स नो॑ जी॒वेष्वा य॑मेद्दी॒र्घमायुः॒ प्रजी॒वसे॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! घृत से युक्त क्षीर रूप हवि यम के लिए अर्पण करो. वे हवि पा कर हमें जीवित मनुष्यों में रखंगे और सौ वर्ष की आयु प्रदान करेंगे. (३)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Offer the ksheer form containing ghee to Haviyam. They will destroy us and put us in living human beings and give us a hundred years of age. (3)
प्र॑जान॒त्यघ्न्ये जीवलो॒कं दे॒वानां॒ पन्था॑मनुसं॒चर॑न्ती । अ॒यं ते॒गोप॑ति॒स्तं जु॑षस्व स्व॒र्गं लो॒कमधि॑ रोहयैनम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे गौ! तू पृथ्वीलोक को भलीभांति जानती तथा यज्ञ मार्ग को देखती है. तू दूध, दही आदि से युक्त हो कर जा. तू अपने उस स्वामी का सेवन कर जो गायों का स्वामी है. तू इस मृतक को स्वर्ग की प्राप्ति करा. (४)
EN English Translation
O cow! You know the earth very well and see the path of sacrifice. You go with milk, curd etc. Eat your master who is the master of cows. May you bring this deceased to heaven. (4)
त्रयः॑ सुप॒र्णाउप॑रस्य मा॒यू नाक॑स्य पृ॒ष्ठे अधि॑ वि॒ष्टपि॑ श्रि॒ताः । स्व॑र्गा लो॒काअ॒मृते॑न वि॒ष्ठा इष॒मूर्जं॒ यज॑मानाय दुह्राम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि, वायु और सूर्य उत्तम विधि से गमन करने वाले हैं. वायु तथा पर्जन्य मेघ के समान शब्द करते हैं. ये सभी स्वर्गलोक से ऊपर विष्टप में निवास करते हैं. अपने कर्मो से प्राप्त होने वाला यह स्वर्गलोक अमृत से संपन्न है. यह स्वर्ग यज्ञ कर्म का अनुष्ठान करने वाले प्रेत को मनचाहा अन्न तथा रस देने वाला है. (४)
EN English Translation
Agni, air and sun are going to move in the best way. Air and parajanya do the same terms as cloud. All of them reside in Vishtapa above heaven. This heaven, which is obtained from its deeds, is endowed with nectar. This heaven is going to give the desired food and juice to the ghost who performs the ritual of yajna karma. (4)
न य॑त्पु॒राच॑कृ॒मा कद्ध॑ नू॒नमृ॒तं वद॑न्तो॒ अनृ॑तं॒ रपे॑म । ग॑न्ध॒र्वो अ॒प्स्वप्या॑ च॒योषा॒ सा नौ॒ नाभिः॑ पर॒मं जा॒मि तन्नौ॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यम-हे यमी! असत्य बात को हम सत्य भाषण करने वाले किस प्रकार सत्य कहें? जल को धारण करने वाले सूर्य भी आकाश में अपनी पत्नी के सहित स्थित हैं. इसलिए एक ही माता और पिता वाले हम दोनों उन्हीं के सामने तेरी इच्छा पूर्ण करने में समर्थ न होंगे. (४)
EN English Translation
Yama- O Yummy! How do we truth-makers call the untruth the truth? The sun, which holds water, is also located in the sky with his wife. Therefore, both of us with the same mother and father will not be able to fulfill your wish in front of them. (4)
मैन॑मग्ने॒ विद॑हो॒ माभि॑ शूशुचो॒ मास्य॒ त्वचं॑ चिक्षिपो॒ मा शरी॑रम् । शृ॒तं य॒दा कर॑सिजातवे॒दोऽथे॑मेनं॒ प्र हि॑णुतात्पि॒तॄँरुप॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! इस प्रेत को भस्म मत करो; इस की त्वचा को अन्यत्र मत फेंको. इस के लिए शोक भी मत करो. जब तुम इस हवि रूप शरीर को पका लो, तब इसे रक्षा के लिए पितरों को दो. इस प्रेत की आत्मा पितृलोक में चली जाए. (४)
EN English Translation
O agni! Don't consume this phantom; Don't throw the skin of this elsewhere. Don't even grieve for this. When you cook this havi form body, then give it to the ancestors to protect it. Let the soul of this ghost go to the fatherland. (4)
उप॒ द्यामुप॑वेत॒समव॑त्तरो न॒दीना॑म् । अग्ने॑ पि॒त्तम॒पाम॑सि ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जल में उगी हुई काई और बेंत में जल का सार अंश है जो उन का रक्षक है. हे अग्नि! तू जल संबधी पित्त है. इसलिए मैं तुझे बेंत की शाखा, नदी के फेन और दूब आदि से शांत करता हूं. (५)
EN English Translation
Mosses grown in water and cane contain the essence of water which is their protector. O agni! You are water-related pitta. That is why I calm you down with a cane branch, river fen and doob, etc. (5)
जु॒हूर्दा॑धार॒द्यामु॑प॒भृद॒न्तरि॑क्षं ध्रु॒वा दा॑धार पृथि॒वीं प्र॑ति॒ष्ठाम् । प्रती॒मांलो॒का घृ॒तपृ॑ष्ठाः स्व॒र्गाः कामं॑कामं॒ यज॑मानाय दुह्राम् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
होम के पात्र जुहू ने आकाश को पुष्ट किया, उपभूत नाम के यज्ञपात ने अंतरिक्ष को धारण किया तथा खुवा नाम के यज्ञ पात्र ने पृथ्वी का पालन किया. यह सुवा पात्र पृथ्वी का ध्यान करते हुए ऊपर स्थित स्वर्गलोक में यजमान को मनचाहा फल प्रदान करे. (५)
EN English Translation
The character of the home, Juhu, strengthened the sky, the yajnapat named Upbhuta took up the space and the sacrificial character named Khuva followed the earth. This suva vessel should pay attention to the earth and provide the desired fruit to the host in heaven located above. (5)
गर्भे॒ नु नौ॑जनि॒ता दम्प॑ती कर्दे॒वस्त्वष्टा॑ सवि॒ता वि॒श्वरू॑पः । नकि॑रस्य॒ प्र मि॑नन्तिव्र॒तानि॒ वेद॑ नाव॒स्य पृ॑थि॒वी उ॒त द्यौः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यमी-हे यम! संतान उत्पन्न करने वाले देव ने हम दोनों को माता के उदर में ही दांपत्य बंधन में बांध दिया है. उस देव के कर्म का जो फल है, उसे कौन निष्फल कर सकता है. त्वष्टा देव के गर्भ में ही हमारे दंपती बनाने वाले कर्म को आकाश और पृथ्वी दोनों जानते हैं. इस कारण यह असत्य नहीं है. (५)
EN English Translation
Yami - Hey Yama! The God who produced children has tied both of us in the womb of the mother in the marital bond. Who can defeat the fruit of that God's deeds? Both the sky and the earth know the karma that makes our couples in the womb of Ttvashta Dev. For this reason it is not untrue. (5)
य॒दा शृ॒तंकृ॒णवो॑ जातवे॒दोऽथे॒ममे॑नं॒ परि॑ दत्तात्पि॒तृभ्यः॑ । य॒दोगच्छा॒त्यसु॑नीतिमे॒तामथ॑ दे॒वानां॑ वश॒नीर्भ॑वाति ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे जातवेद अग्नि! जब तू इस प्रेत को पूरी तरह भस्म कर दे, तब इसे पितरों के लिए सौंप दे. जब इस के प्राण निकल जाते हैं, तब यह प्रेत देवों के वश में हो जाता है. (५)
EN English Translation
O agni! When you have completely consumed this ghost, then hand it over to the fathers. When his life is gone, then this ghost becomes under the control of gods. (5)
यं त्वम॑ग्नेस॒मद॑ह॒स्तमु॒ निर्वा॑पया॒ पुनः॑ । क्याम्बू॒रत्र॑ रोहतु शाण्डदू॒र्वा व्यल्कशा ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! जिस पुरुष को तुम ने भस्म किया है, उसे सुखी करो. इस स्थान पर दुःखनाशक दूब घास उग सके, उस के लिए यहां कितना जल डालना चाहिए? (६)
EN English Translation
O agni! Please the man whom you have consumed. How much water should be poured here so that the grass can grow at this place? (6)
ध्रुव॒ आ रो॑हपृथि॒वीं वि॒श्वभो॑जसम॒न्तरि॑क्षमुप॒भृदा क्र॑मस्व । जुहु॒ द्यां ग॑च्छ॒ यज॑मानेनसा॒कं स्रु॒वेण॑ व॒त्सेन॒ दिशः॒ प्रपी॑नाः॒ सर्वा॑ धु॒क्ष्वाहृ॑णीयमानः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे खुवा नामक चम्मच! तू पृथ्वी पर आरोहण कर और यजमान भी पृथ्वी पर प्रतिष्ठित रहे. हे उपभृत नाम के पात्र! तू अंतरिक्ष पर आरोहण कर. हे जुहू नामक पात्र! तू यजमान के साथ द्युलोक अर्थात् स्वर्ग को गमन कर तथा सभी दिशाओं से मनचाहे फलों का दोहन कर. (६)
EN English Translation
O spoon called khuva! You ascend to the earth, and the host may also be distinguished on the earth. O characters named Ayavrit! You climb on space. O character called Juhu! You go to Dyulok i.e. heaven with the host and exploit the desired fruits from all directions. (6)
को अ॒द्ययु॑ङ्क्ते धु॒रि गा ऋ॒तस्य॒ शिमी॑वतो भा॒मिनो॑ दुर्हृणा॒यून् । आ॒सन्नि॑षून्हृ॒त्स्वसो॑ मयो॒भून्य ए॑षां भृ॒त्यामृ॒णध॒त्स जी॑वात् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यम-हे यमी! सत्य का भार वहन करने के निमित्त अपनी वाणी रूप वृषभ को कौन नियुक्त कर सकता है. कर्मठ, तेजस्वी, क्रोध और लज्जा से हीन तथा अपने शब्दों से श्रोताओं के हृदय में बैठने वाला जो पुरुष सत्य वचनों से ही वृद्धि करता है, वह उस के फल के कारण दीर्घजीवी होता है. (६)
EN English Translation
Yama- O Yummy! Who can appoint Taurus, the form of his speech, to bear the burden of truth? The man who is diligent, brilliant, devoid of anger and shame and sits in the heart of the audience with his words, who grows only by the words of truth, is long-lived because of its fruit. (6)
त्रिक॑द्रुकेभिःपवते॒ षडु॒र्वीरेक॒मिद्बृ॒हत् । त्रि॒ष्टुब्गा॑य॒त्री छन्दां॑सि॒ सर्वा॒ ता य॒मआर्पि॑ता ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह सब का नियंत्रण करने वाला तथा महान यम कद्रुक नाम के तीन यंत्रों से छह उर्वियों को प्राप्त होता है. त्रिष्टुप, गायत्री आदि छंद सब का नियंत्रण करने वाले परमात्मा में स्थित हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
The control of all this and the great Yama Kadruk is obtained by six urvis from three instruments named. Verses like Trishtup, Gayatri etc. are located in the God who controls all. (6)
इ॒दं त॒एकं॑ प॒र ऊ॑ त॒ एकं॑ तृ॒तीये॑न॒ ज्योति॑षा॒ सं वि॑शस्व । सं॒वेश॑ने त॒न्वा॒चारु॑रेधि प्रि॒यो दे॒वानां॑ पर॒मे स॒धस्थे॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे प्रेत! यह गार्हपत्य अग्नि तुझे परलोक पहुंचाने वाली ज्योति है. न रुकने वाली पवन दूसरी तथा आहवनीय अग्नि तीसरी ज्योति है. तू आहवनीय अग्नि से मिल तथा अग्ने में प्रवेश करने के कारण देव शरीर को प्राप्त कर के बढ़. इस के बाद तू इंद्र आदि देवताओं का प्रिय पात्र होगा. (७)
EN English Translation
Oh my god! This agni is the light that brings you to the hereafter. The wind that does not stop is the second and the agni is the third light. You meet the agni and enter the agni, so that you attain the body of God. After this, you will be the favorite character of gods like Indra etc. (7)
ती॒र्थैस्त॑रन्तिप्र॒वतो॑ म॒हीरिति॑ यज्ञ॒कृतः॑ सु॒कृतो॒ येन॒ यन्ति॑ । अत्रा॑दधु॒र्यज॑मानायलो॒कं दिशो॑ भू॒तानि॒ यदक॑ल्पयन्त ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
लोग तीर्थो तथा यज्ञादि कर्मो के द्वारा बड़ीबड़ी विपत्तियों से पार हो जाते हैं. इस प्रकार विचार करने वाले तथा यज्ञ कर्म करते हुए पुरुष जिस मार्ग से स्वर्ग को जाते हैं, उस मार्ग को खोजते हुए यज्ञ कर्ता इस यजमान के लिए वह मार्ग खोलें. (७)
EN English Translation
People overcome great calamities through pilgrimages and sacrifices. In this way, those who think and do yajna karma, while searching for the path through which men go to heaven, the yajna karta should open that path for this host. (7)
को अ॒स्य वे॑दप्रथ॒मस्याह्नः॒ क ईं॑ ददर्श॒ क इ॒ह प्र वो॑चत् । बृ॒हन्मि॒त्रस्य॒ वरु॑णस्य॒धाम॒ कदु॑ ब्रव आहनो॒ वीच्या॒ नॄन् ॥ (७)

यमी-हे यम! हमारे प्रथम दिन को कौन जान रहा है और कौन देख रहा है? फिर कौन पुरुष इस बात को दूसरों से कह सकेगा? दिन मित्र देवता का स्थान है. ये दोनों ही विशाल हैं. इसलिए मेरी इच्छा के प्रतिकूल मुझे क्लेश देने वाले तुम अनेक कर्मों वाले मनुष्यों के संबंध में ऐसा किस प्रकार कहते हो. (७)
EN English Translation
Yami- O Yama! Who knows our first day and who is watching? Then which man can say this to others? The day is the place of friendly deity. Both of them are huge. Therefore, how do you say this in relation to men with many deeds who cause me tribulation against My will? (7)
सूर्यं॒ चक्षु॑षागच्छ॒ वात॑मा॒त्मना॒ दिवं॑ च॒ गच्छ॑ पृथि॒वीं च॒ धर्म॑भिः । अ॒पो वा॑ गच्छ॒ यदि॒ तत्र॑ते हि॒तमोष॑धीषु॒ प्रति॑ तिष्ठा॒ शरी॑रैः ॥ (७)

हे प्रेत! तू नेत्र द्वार से सूर्य को प्राप्त हो. तू आत्मा के द्वारा वायु को प्राप्त हो तथा वन्य इंद्रियों से आकाश और पृथ्वी को प्राप्त हो तथा अंतरिक्ष और जल को प्राप्त हो. यदि इन स्थानों में जाने की तेरी इच्छा हो तो जा अथवा ओषधि आदि में प्रविष्ट हो जा. (७)
EN English Translation
O ghost! You receive the sun through the door of the eye. You receive air through the Spirit and the heavens and earth from the wild senses and receive space and water. If you want to go to these places, then go or enter medicine etc. (7)
उत्ति॑ष्ठ॒प्रेहि॒ प्र द्र॒वौकः॑ कृणुष्व सलि॒ले स॒धस्थे॑ । तत्र॒ त्वं पि॒तृभिः॑संविदा॒नः सं सोमे॑न॒ मद॑स्व॒ सं स्व॒धाभिः॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे प्रेत! तू इस स्थान से उठ और चल. शीघ्रता से चलता हुआ तू अंतरिक्ष को अपना निवास स्थान बना तथा पितरों से मिल कर सोमरस का पान करता हुआ हर्षित हो. (८)

O ghost! You get up from this place and walk. Moving fast, you make space your abode and be happy to meet your ancestors and drink Someras. (8)
अङ्गि॑रसा॒मय॑नं॒पूर्वो॑ अ॒ग्निरा॑दि॒त्याना॒मय॑नं॒ गार्ह॑पत्यो॒ दक्षि॑णाना॒मय॑नं दक्षिणा॒ग्निः । म॑हि॒मान॑म॒ग्नेर्विहि॑तस्य॒ ब्रह्म॑णा॒ सम॑ङ्गः॒ सर्व॒ उप॑ याहि श॒ग्मः ॥ (८)

आंगिरसों का मार्ग पूर्व के नाम की अग्नि है. आदित्यों का मार्ग गार्हपत्य अग्नि है. यज्ञ कार्य में दक्ष जनों का मार्ग दक्षिणा अग्नि है. वेदमंत्रों के द्वारा यज्ञ में स्थापित की गई अग्नि की महिमा को दृढ़ अंगों तथा पूर्ण शरीर वाला तू प्राप्त कर. (८)

The path of the Angiras is the agni of the name of the east. The path of adityas is the agni of garhapatya. Dakshina Agni is the path of skilled people in yajna work. You get the glory of agni established in the yajna through Veda mantras with strong limbs and full body. (8)
