अग्ने॒ यत्ते॒ तप॒स्तेन॒ तं प्रति॑ तप॒ यो॑३ ऽस्मान्द्वेष्टि॒ यं व॒यं द्वि॒ष्मः ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि देव! तुम्हारी जो तपाने की शक्ति है, उस से उस को संतप्त करो जो हम से द्वेष करता है अथवा हम जिस से द्वेष करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O God of Agni! Anger him who hates us or the one we hate with the one you have the power to heat. (1)
वायो॒ यत्ते॒ तप॒स्तेन॒ तं प्रति॑ तप॒ यो॑३ ऽस्मान्द्वेष्टि॒ यं व॒यं द्वि॒ष्मः ॥ (१)

हे वायु देव! तुम्हारी जो संताप पहुंचाने की शक्ति है, उस से उन्हें संताप पहुंचाओ जो हम से द्वेष करते हैं अथवा हम जिन से द्वेष करते हैं. (१)

O Vayu Dev! With the power to spread your anger, anger those who hate us or those we hate. (1)

शेर॑भक॒ शेर॑भ॒ पुन॑र्वो यन्तु या॒तवः॒ पुन॑र्हे॒तिः कि॑मीदिनः । यस्य॒ स्थ तम॑त्त॒ यो वः॒ प्राहै॒त्तम॑त्त॒ स्वा मां॒सान्य॑त्त ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे राक्षसों के गांव के मुखिया और राक्षसों के स्वामी! तुम ने हमारी ओर जो दरिद्रता प्रदान करने वाली राक्षसी भेजी है तथा जो राक्षस भेजे हैं, वे हमारी ओर से लौट जाएं. तुम्हारे जो आयुध हैं, वे भी लौट जाएं. तुम्हारे अनुचर चोर भी लौट जाएं. तुम हमारे जिस शत्रु के हो, उसी के पास चले जाओ तथा उसे खा डालो. जिस प्रयोग करने वाले ने तुम्हें मेरे पास भेजा है. तुम उसी को खाओ. तुम उसी का मांस भक्षण करो. EN English Translation
O head of the village of demons and swami of demons! May the demons that you have sent to us and the demons that you have sent return from us. Let the weapons you have also return. Your retainer thieves also return. Go to the enemy you belong to and eat it. The user who sent you to me. You eat the same. You eat his meat. (1)
शं नो॑ दे॒वी पृ॑श्निप॒र्ण्यशं॒ निरृ॑त्या अकः । उ॒ग्रा हि क॑ण्व॒जम्भ॑नी॒ ताम॑भक्षि॒ सह॑स्वतीम् ॥ (१)

चमकती हुई पृश्निपर्णी नाम की जड़ीबूटी हमें सुख प्रदान करे तथा रोग उत्पन्न करने वाली पाप देवता निर्त्ऋति को दुःख दे. मैं ने अत्यधिक शक्तिशाली, पापनाशिनी एवं रोग को पराजित करने वाली जड़ी पृश्निपर्णी को खाया है. (१)

May the shining herb named Prishniparni give us happiness and give sorrow to the sin god Nirtiti, who causes disease. I have eaten the very powerful, papanashini and disease-defeating herb Prishniparni. (1)
ए॒ह य॑न्तु प॒शवो॒ ये प॑रे॒युर्वा॒युर्येषां॑ सहचा॒रं जु॒जोष॑ । त्वष्टा॒ येषां॑ रूपधेयानि॒ वेदा॒स्मिन्तान्गो॒ष्ठे स॑वि॒ता नि य॑च्छतु ॥ (१)

जो पशु कभी न लौटने के लिए चले गए हैं, वे मेरी इस गोशाला में आ जाएं. वायु जिन की रक्षा के लिए साथ चलती है एवं त्वष्टा जिन के गर्भाशय के बछड़ों का रूप जानते हैं, उन समस्त पशुओं को सविता देव इस गोशाला में इस प्रकार स्थापित करें कि वे कभी न भागों. (१)
EN English Translation
The animals which have never gone to return, they should come to this gaushala of mine. Savita Dev should install all the animals for whom the air moves together to protect them and the children whose uterine calves are known in this gaushala in such a way that they never have parts. (1)
नेच्छत्रुः॒ प्राशं॑ जयाति॒ सह॑मानाभि॒भूर॑सि । प्राशं॒ प्रति॑प्राशो जह्यर॒सान्कृ॑ण्वोषधे ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ग्वारपाठा नामक जड़ी! तुम्हारा सेवन करने वाले वक्ता को उस का विरोधी न जीत सके. तुम्हारा स्वभाव शत्रु को सहन करने का है, इसीलिए तुम प्रतिवादी को पराजित कर देती हो. मुझ प्रश्न पूछने वाले से जो विरोधी प्रतिप्रश्न पूछते हैं, उन को तुम पराजित करो. हे ओषधि! मेरे विरोधी वक्ताओं का गला सुखा दो, जिस से वे बोल न सकें. (१)
EN English Translation
O herb called guarpatha! The speaker who consumes you cannot win his opponent. Your nature is to tolerate the enemy, that is why you defeat the defendant. Defeat the opponents who ask me questions. O medicine! Dry the throats of my opposing speakers so that they cannot speak. (1)
तुभ्य॑मे॒व ज॑रिमन्वर्धताम॒यम्मेमम॒न्ये मृ॒त्यवो॑ हिंसिषुः श॒तं ये । मा॒तेव॑ पु॒त्रं प्रम॑ना उ॒पस्थे॑ मि॒त्र ए॑नं मि॒त्रिया॑त्पा॒त्वंह॑सः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तुति किए जाते हुए अग्नि देव! तुम्हारी सेवा के लिए ही यह कुमार रोग आदि से रहित हो कर बढ़े. जो असंख्य हिंसक रोग एवं पिशाच हैं, वे भी इस बालक की हिंसा न करें. माता जिस प्रकार पुत्र को गोद में ले कर उस की रक्षा करती है, उसी प्रकार मित्र नाम के देव पाप से इस बालक की रक्षा करें. (१)

O God of agni being praised! It is for your service that this Kumar should grow free from disease etc. Those who are innumerable violent diseases and vampires should also not do violence to this child. Just as the mother protects the son by taking him in her lap, in the same way, the god named Friend should protect this child from sin. (1)
पार्थि॑वस्य॒ रसे॑ देवा॒ भग॑स्य त॒न्वो॑३ बले॑ । आ॑यु॒ष्य॑म॒स्मा अ॒ग्निः सूर्यो॒ वर्च॒ आ धा॒द्बृह॒स्पतिः॑ ॥ (१)

पृथ्वी संबंधी पदार्थों के रस को पीने वाले पुरुष को इंद्र आदि देव भग देवता के समान बली बनाएं. सूर्य इस पुरुष को दीर्घ आयु प्रदान करें. सब के प्रेरक आदित्य एवं बृहस्पति इसे तेज प्रदान करें. (१)

Make a man who drinks the juice of earth-related substances as strong as Indra Adi Dev Dev Bhag Devta. May the Sun give this man a long life. May Aditya and Jupiter, the motivators of all, give it a sharp. (1)
यथे॒दं भूम्या॒ अधि॒ तृणं॒ वातो॑ मथा॒यति॑ । ए॒वा म॑थ्नामि ते॒ मनो॒ यथा॒ मां का॒मिन्यसो॒ यथा॒ मन्नाप॑गा॒ असः॑ ॥ (१)

हे स्त्री! धरती के ऊपर पड़े हुए तिनके को वायु जिस प्रकार भ्रमित करती है, मैं तेरे मन को उसी प्रकार चंचल बना दूंगा. इस से तू मुझे चाहने वाली बन जाएगी तथा मेरे पास से कहीं अन्यत्र नहीं जा सकेगी. (१)
EN English Translation
Oh woman! Just as the wind confuses the straw lying on the earth, I will make your mind fickle in the same way. With this, you will become a lover of me and you will not be able to go anywhere else near me. (1)
इन्द्र॑स्य॒ या म॒ही दृ॒षत्क्रिमे॒र्विश्व॑स्य॒ तर्ह॑णी । तया॑ पिनष्मि॒ सं क्रिमी॑न्दृ॒षदा॒ खल्वाँ॑ इव ॥ (१)

सभी कीड़ों को मारने वाली जो इंद्र की शिला है, उसी शिला के द्वारा मैं शरीर के भीतर स्थित कीटाणुओं को उसी प्रकार मारता हूं, जिस प्रकार सिलबट्टे से चने पीसे जाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Through the same rock that kills all the insects, which is the rock of Indra, I kill the germs located inside the body in the same way as gram is drunk from the silbata. (1)
उ॒द्यन्ना॑दि॒त्यः क्रिमी॑न्हन्तु नि॒म्रोच॑न्हन्तु र॒श्मिभिः॑ । ये अ॒न्तः क्रिम॑यो॒ गवि॑ ॥ (१)

उदय होते हुए तथा अस्त होते हुए सूर्य अपनी फैलने वाली किरणों के द्वारा उन कीटाणुओं का विनाश करे जो गाय के शरीर के भीतर स्थित हैं. (१)

While rising and setting, the sun, through its spreading rays, destroys the germs that are located within the cow's body. (1)
अ॒क्षीभ्यां॑ ते॒ नासि॑काभ्यां॒ कर्णा॑भ्यां॒ छुबु॑का॒दधि॑ । यक्ष्मं॑ शीर्ष॒ण्यं॑ म॒स्तिष्का॑ज्जि॒ह्वाया॒ वि वृ॑हामि ते ॥ (१)

हे यक्ष्मा रोग से पीड़ित पुरुष! मैं तेरी आंखों से, नाक से, कानों से तथा ठोड़ी से यक्ष्मा रोग को बाहर निकालता हूं. मैं तेरे सिर में से, मस्तिष्क से तथा जीभ से यक्ष्मा रोग को बाहर निकालता हूं. (१)

O man suffering from tuberculosis! I take tuberculosis out of your eyes, nose, ears and chin. I take tuberculosis out of your head, from the brain and from the tongue. (1)
य ईशे॑ पशु॒पतिः॑ पशू॒नां चतु॑ष्पदामु॒त यो द्वि॒पदा॑म् । निष्क्री॑तः॒ स य॒ज्ञियं॑ भा॒गमे॑तु रा॒यस्पोषा॒ यज॑मानं सचन्ताम् ॥ (१)

जो पशुपति रुद्र चार पैरों वाले पशुओं और दो पैरों वाले मनुष्यों के स्वामी हैं, उन के पास से प्राप्त किया हुआ यह यज्ञ के योग्य पशु यज्ञ का भाग बने एवं यजमान को धन की समृद्धियां प्राप्त हों. (१)

Pashupati Rudra, who is the swami of four-legged animals and two-legged humans, should be part of the yagya and the host should get the prosperity of wealth. (1)
ये भ॒क्षय॑न्तो॒ न वसू॑न्यानृ॒धुर्यान॒ग्नयो॑ अ॒न्वत॑प्यन्त॒ धिष्ण्याः॑ । या तेषा॑मव॒या दुरि॑ष्टिः॒ स्वि॑ष्टिं न॒स्तां कृ॑णवद्वि॒श्वक॑र्मा ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम ने भोजन करते हुए पृथ्वी में धनों को गाड़ दिया है. पवित्र स्थानों में अग्नियों को जानते हुए विश्वकर्मा हमारे यज्ञ को सफल बनाएं. जो लोग हवन नहीं करते हैं अथवा दोष पूर्ण यज्ञ करते हैं, वे मेरे यज्ञ की सफलता देख कर शोक करें. (१)

We have buried the rich in the earth while eating food. Knowing the agni in holy places, Vishwakarma should make our yagna a success. Those who do not perform havana or perform faulty yajna, mourn the success of my yajna. (1)
आ नो॑ अग्ने सुम॒तिं सं॑भ॒लो ग॑मेदि॒मां कु॑मा॒रीं स॒ह नो॒ भगे॑न । जु॒ष्टा व॒रेषु॒ सम॑नेषु व॒ल्गुरो॒षं पत्या॒ सौभ॑गमस्त्व॒स्यै ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि देव! हमारी मान्यता के अनुसार, सर्व लक्षणों से युक्त एवं कन्या चाहने वाला वर हमें प्राप्त हो तथा सौभाग्य के कारण हमारी इस कुमारी को वर प्राप्त हो, यह कुमारी समान हृदय वाले वर को पा कर स्वयं प्रसन्न हो और उसे भी प्रसन्न करे. पति के साथ निवास स्थान इस के लिए सौभाग्यदायक हो. (१)

O God of Agni! According to our belief, we should get a groom with all the characteristics and want a girl and due to good luck, this kumari of ours should get a groom, this kumari should be happy to find a groom with the same heart and please him too. The place of residence with the husband is fortunate for this. (1)
वे॒नस्तत्प॑श्यत्पर॒मं गुहा॒ यद्यत्र॒ विश्वं॒ भव॒त्येक॑रूपम् । इ॒दं पृश्नि॑रदुह॒ज्जाय॑मानाः स्व॒र्विदो॑ अ॒भ्य॑नूषत॒ व्राः ॥ (१)

दीप्तिशाली आदित्य ने समस्त प्राणियों के हृदय में सत्य, ज्ञान आदि लक्षणों से युक्त ब्रह्म का साक्षात्कार किया, जिस में समस्त विश्व एकाकार हो जाता है. स्वर्ग और आदित्य ने इस विश्व को व्यक्त किया. उत्पन्न होती हुई तथा अपने उत्पन्न कर्ता को जानती हुई प्रजाएं उस की स्तुति करती हैं. (१)

The glorious Aditya interviewed Brahman with signs of truth, knowledge, etc. in the hearts of all beings, in which the whole world becomes one. Heaven and Aditya expressed this world. People who are born and know their Creator praise Him. (1)
दि॒व्यो ग॑न्ध॒र्वो भुव॑नस्य॒ यस्पति॒रेक॑ ए॒व न॑म॒स्यो॑ वि॒क्ष्वीड्यः॑ । तं त्वा॑ यौमि॒ ब्रह्म॑णा दिव्य देव॒ नम॑स्ते अस्तु दि॒वि ते॑ स॒धस्थ॑म् ॥ (१)

दिव्य सूर्य पृथ्वी आदि लोकों का पालनकर्ता है. समस्त प्रजाओं के द्वारा वही अकेला नमस्कार करने एवं स्तुति के योग्य है. हे दिव्य सूर्य देव! मैं ब्रह्म के रूप में आप की आराधना करता हूं. आप को मेरा नमस्कार है. आप का आवास स्वर्ग में है. (१)

The divine sun is the sustainer of the earth etc. He is worthy of greeting and praise by all the people alone. O Divine Sun God! I worship you as Brahman. My greetings to you. Your abode is in heaven. (1)
अ॒दो यद॑व॒धाव॑त्यव॒त्कमधि॒ पर्व॑तात् । तत्ते॑ कृणोमि भेष॒जं सुभे॑षजं॒ यथास॑सि ॥ (१)

मुंजवान पर्वत से उतर कर जो मूंज धरती पर वर्तमान है, हे मूंज! तेरे उस अग्रभाग से मैं ओषधि बनाता हूं, क्योंकि तू उत्तम जड़ीबूटी है. (१)

Coming down from Mount Munjwan, the moonj that is present on the earth, O Moonj! From that forearm of yours I make medicine, for you are the best herb. (1)
दी॑र्घायु॒त्वाय॑ बृहते रणा॒यारि॑ष्यन्तो॒ दक्ष॑माणाः॒ सदै॒व । म॒णिं वि॑ष्कन्ध॒दूष॑णं जङ्गि॒डं बि॑भृमो व॒यम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम दीर्घ जीवन के लिए तथा महान् रमणीय कर्म के लिए राक्षस, पिशाच आदि को भगाने वाली इस मणि को धारण करते हैं, जो वाराणसी में प्रसिद्ध जंगिड़ वृक्ष से बनती है. इस के कारण हम हिंसित न होते हुए अपना पालन करते हैं. (१)

We wear this gem that drives away demons, vampires, etc. for a long life and for great delightful deeds, which is made from the famous Jangid tree in Varanasi. Because of this, we follow ourselves without being violent. (1)
इन्द्र॑ जु॒षस्व॒ प्र व॒हा या॑हि शूर॒ हरि॑भ्याम् । पिबा॑ सु॒तस्य॑ म॒तेरि॒ह म॒धोश्च॑का॒नश्चारु॒र्मदा॑य ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे परम ऐश्वर्य वाले इंद्र! तुम हम पर प्रसन्न हो जाओ एवं हमें मनचाहा फल प्रदान करो. हे शूर इंद्र! अपने घोड़ों की सहायता से तुम मेरे यज्ञ में आओ तथा इस यज्ञ में निचोड़े गए सोमरस को पियो. यह सोमरस प्रशंसनीय एवं मधुर है. पीने पर यह सोमरस तृप्ति और उत्तम मादकता का कारण बनता है. (१)

O Indra of supreme opulence! May you be pleased with us and give us the desired fruit. O Shur Indra! With the help of your horses, you come to my yajna and drink somers squeezed in this yajna. This someras is praiseworthy and sweet. When drinking, it causes somerous satiety and excellent intoxication. (1)
समा॑स्त्वाग्न ऋ॒तवो॑ वर्धयन्तु संवत्स॒रा ऋष॑यो॒ यानि॑ स॒त्या । सं दि॒व्येन॑ दीदिहि रोच॒नेन॒ विश्वा॒ आ भा॑हि प्र॒दिश॒श्चत॑स्रः ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि! संवत्सर, ऋषिगण एवं पृथ्वी आदि तत्त्व तुम्हारी वृद्धि करें. इन सब के द्वारा बढ़े हुए तुम प्रकाश युक्त शरीर से दीप्त बनो तथा पूर्व आदि चार दिशाओं को और आग्नेय आदि चार विदिशाओं अर्थात् दिशा कोणों को प्रकाशित करो. (१)

O agni! Samvatsar, sages and earth etc. elements increase you. By all this, you become illuminated with a body full of light and illuminate the four directions of east and four directions like southeast, that is, direction angles. (1)
अ॒घद्वि॑ष्टा दे॒वजा॑ता वी॒रुच्छ॑पथ॒योप॑नी । आपो॒ मल॑मिव॒ प्राणै॑क्षी॒त्सर्वा॒न्मच्छ॒पथाँ॒ अधि॑ ॥ (१)

पाप का विनाश करने वाली, देवों के द्वारा बनाई गई एवं पाप का निवारण करने वाली दूर्वा मुझ से सभी पापों को इस प्रकार धो कर दूर कर दे, जिस प्रकार पानी मैल को धो डालता है. (१)

Durva, who destroys sin, created by gods and removes sin, washes away all sins from me in such a way that water washes away scum. (1)
उद॑गातां॒ भग॑वती वि॒चृतौ॒ नाम॒ तार॑के । वि क्षे॑त्रि॒यस्य॑ मुञ्चतामध॒मं पाश॑मुत्त॒मम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
तेजस्वी एवं बंधन से छुड़ाने वाले तारे उदित हों. वे तारे पुत्र, पौत्र आदि के शरीर में होने वाले यक्ष्मा, कुष्ठ आदि रोगों एवं उन के फंदों से हमें छुड़ाएं जो हमारे शरीर के नीचे एवं ऊपर के भागों में हैं. (१)

Bright and bondage-free stars should rise. May those stars free us from tuberculosis, leprosy etc. diseases in the body of sons, grandsons etc. and the noose of them which are in the lower and upper parts of our body. (1)
दश॑वृक्ष मु॒ञ्चेमं रक्ष॑सो॒ ग्राह्या॒ अधि॒ यैनं॑ ज॒ग्राह॒ पर्व॑सु । अथो॑ एनं वनस्पते जी॒वानां॑ लो॒कमुन्न॑य ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ढाक, गूलर आदि दस वृक्षों से बनी हुई मणि! ब्रह्म राक्षस और राक्षसी से पकड़े हुए इस पुरुष को छुड़ाओ. उस ब्रह्म राक्षसी ने इसे शरीर के जोड़ों में पकड़ा हुआ है. हे वनस्पति से निर्मित मणि! तू इसे जीवित प्राणियों के लोक में पहुंचा अर्थात् इसे पुनः जीवित कर. (१)

O gem made of ten trees like dhak, sycamore etc! Rescue this man holding brahma from the demon and demon. That Brahma rakshasi is holding it in the joints of the body. O gem made of vegetation! You brought it to the realm of living beings, that is, revive it. (1)
क्षे॑त्रि॒यात्त्वा॒ निरृ॑त्या जामिशं॒साद्द्रु॒हो मु॑ञ्चामि॒ वरु॑णस्य॒ पाशा॑त् । अ॑ना॒गसं॒ ब्रह्म॑णा त्वा कृणोमि शि॒वे ते॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी उ॒भे स्ता॑म् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे व्याधि पीड़ित पुरुष! मैं तुझे क्षय, कोढ़ आदि रोगों से, रोग के कारण बने हुए पाप देवता से, बांधवों के आक्रोश से उत्पन्न पाप से, गुरु, देव आदि के द्रोह से एवं वरुण के पाप से छुड़ाता हूं. द्यावा और पृथ्वी दोनों तेरे लिए कल्याणकारी हैं. (१)
