अश्वा॑वति प्रथ॒मो गोषु॑ गच्छति सुप्रा॒वीरि॑न्द्र॒ मर्त्य॒स्तवो॒तिभिः॑ । तमित्पृ॑णक्षि॒ वसु॑ना॒ भवी॑यसा॒ सिन्धु॒मापो॒ यथा॒भितो॒ विचे॑तसः ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! जो पुरुष तुम्हारे द्वारा रक्षित होता है, वह बहुसंख्यक अश्चों वाले युद्धों में तथा अश्वारोहियों में प्रमुख बन जाता है. वह गायों वाले पुरुषों में भी श्रेष्ठ होता है. जिस प्रकार जल सब ओर से सागर को भरते हैं, उसी प्रकार तुम भी उसे अनेक प्रकार से प्राप्त होने वाले धन से पूर्ण करते हो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The man who is protected by you becomes prominent in wars with majority horses and in equestrians. He is also superior to men with cows. Just as water fills the ocean from all sides, so you also complete it with the wealth you receive in many ways. (1)
व॒नोति॒ हि सु॒न्वन्क्षयं॒ परी॑णसः सुन्वा॒नो हि ष्मा॒ यज॒त्यव॒ द्विषो॑ दे॒वाना॒मव॒ द्विषः॑ । सु॑न्वा॒न इत्सि॑षासति स॒हस्रा॑ वा॒ज्यवृ॑तः । सु॑न्वा॒नायेन्द्रो॑ ददात्या॒भुवं॑ र॒यिं द॑दात्या॒भुव॑म् ॥ (१)

सोमरस निचोड़ने वाला यजमान अपने शत्रुओं के साथसाथ देवताओं के शत्रुओं का भी पराभव करता है. वह बहुत से घरों को प्राप्त करता है तथा विविध पदार्थो के दान की इच्छा करता है. वह शत्रुओं से घिरा हुआ नहीं रहता तथा अन्न का स्वामी बनता है. इंद्र उसे पृथ्वी संबंधी सभी धन देते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
The host who squeezes somers defeats his enemies as well as the enemies of the gods. He acquires many houses and wishes to donate various substances. He is not surrounded by enemies and becomes the master of food. Indra gives him all the wealth related to the earth. (1)
म॒हाँ इन्द्रो॒ य ओज॑सा प॒र्जन्यो॑ वृष्टि॒माँ इ॑व । स्तोमै॑र्व॒त्सस्य॑ वावृधे ॥ (१)

इंद्र महान हैं. वे वर्षा के जल से पूर्ण मेघ के समान वत्स के स्तोम अर्थात् मंत्र समूह द्वारा वृद्धि प्राप्त करते हैं. (१)

Indra is great. They get growth from rainwater like a full cloud by vatsa's stom i.e. mantra group. (1)
तव॒ त्यदि॑न्द्रि॒यं बृ॒हत्तव॒ शुष्म॑मु॒त क्रतु॑म् । वज्रं॑ शिशाति धि॒षणा॒ वरे॑ण्यम् ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! तुम्हारा बल बुद्धि से वरण करने योग्य है. तुम्हारा बल कर्मरूपी वज्र को तीव्र करता है. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Your strength is worthy of selection with intelligence. Your force intensifies the karma-like thunderbolt. (1)
आ नू॒नम॑श्विना यु॒वं व॒त्सस्य॑ गन्त॒मव॑से । प्रास्मै॑ यच्छतमवृ॒कं पृथु छ॒र्दिर्यु॑यु॒तं या अरा॑तयः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्विनीकुमारो! इस के बालक के घूमने के हेतु एवं रक्षा के लिए इसे ऐसा घर दो, जहां सियार न पहुंच सके. इस के शत्रुओं को उस से दूर करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Ashwinikumaro! For the movement of this child and for protection, give him a house where the jackal cannot reach. Remove the enemies of this from him. (1)
सम॑स्य म॒न्यवे॒ विशो॒ विश्वा॑ नमन्त कृ॒ष्टयः॑ । स॑मु॒द्राये॑व॒ सिन्ध॑वः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
कर्म करने वाले इंद्र के लिए सभी प्रजाएं उसी प्रकार झुकती हैं, जिस प्रकार समुद्र के लिए सभी नदियां झुक कर चलती हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
All the subjects bow down to Indra, who does karma, in the same way as all the rivers bend for the sea. (1)
योगे॑योगे त॒वस्त॑रं॒ वाजे॑वाजे हवामहे । सखा॑य॒ इन्द्र॑मू॒तये॑ ॥ (१)

यज्ञ के अवसर पर अथवा युद्ध प्राप्त होने पर अपने सखा रूप इंद्र का हम आह्वान करते हैं. (१)

On the occasion of yajna or when we get war, we invoke our sakha form Indra. (1)
सु॑रूपकृ॒त्नुमू॒तये॑ सु॒दुघा॑मिव गो॒दुहे॑ । जु॑हू॒मसि॒ द्यवि॑द्यवि ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस प्रकार सरलता से गायों का दूध दुहने के लिए दोहनकर्ता को बुलाया जाता है उसी प्रकार रक्षा का अवसर आने पर हर बार इंद्र का आह्वान करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Just as the exploiter is easily called to milk the cows, in the same way, indra is invoked every time the opportunity to protect him. (1)
यन्ना॑सत्या भुर॒ण्यथो॒ यद्वा॑ देव भिष॒ज्यथः॑ । अ॒यं वां॑ व॒त्सो म॒तिभि॒र्न वि॑न्धते ह॒विष्म॑न्तं॒ हि गच्छ॑थः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्चिनीकुमारो! तुम शीघ्र गमन करने वाले तथा चिकित्सा करने में कुशल हो. तुम्हारा यह वत्स मोतियों के द्वारा नहीं बांधा जाता है. तुम उस के समीप जाते हो, जिस के पास हवि है. (१)
EN English Translation
O Ashchini Kumaro! You are quick to move and are skilled in healing. This vatsa of yours is not tied by beads. You go close to him who has havi. (1)
यदि॑न्द्रा॒हं यथा॒ त्वमीशी॑य॒ वस्व॒ एक॒ इत् । स्तो॒ता मे॒ गोष॑खा स्यात् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम ऐश्वर्यवान हो. जिस प्रकार तुम देवों में श्रेष्ठ तथा धनों के स्वामी हो, उसी प्रकार मैं भी धन का स्वामी बनूं. जिस प्रकार तुम्हारी स्तुति करने वाला गायों का मित्र हो जाता है, उसी प्रकार मेरी प्रशंसा करने वाला भी गौ आदि धन प्राप्त करे. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are opulent. Just as you are the best among the gods and the master of wealth, so should I also become the master of wealth. Just as the one who praises you becomes a friend of cows, so should anyone who praises me also get wealth like cow etc. (1)
या॒तं छ॑र्दि॒ष्पा उ॒त नः॑ प॑र॒स्पा भू॒तं ज॑ग॒त्पा उ॒त न॑स्तनू॒पा । व॒र्तिस्तो॒काय॒ तन॑याय यातम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्चिनीकुमारो! तुम हमारे रक्षक के रूप में आओ. तुम हमारे घर की रक्षा करते हुए हमें मिलो. तुम हमारे पुत्र, पौत्र आदि के रूप में हमें प्राप्त होओ तथा संसार की रक्षा करने वाले हो कर हम से मिलो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Ashchini Kumaro! You come as our protector. Meet us while you protect our house. May you receive us as our sons, grandsons, etc. and meet us as protectors of the world. (1)
व्यन्तरि॑क्षमतिर॒न्मदे॒ सोम॑स्य रोच॒ना । इन्द्रो॒ यदभि॑नद्व॒लम् ॥ (१)

सोमपान से उत्पन्न शक्ति के द्वारा जब इंद्र ने मेघ को विदीर्ण किया, तब वर्षा के जल से अंतरिक्ष की वृद्धि की. (१)
EN English Translation
When Indra pierced the cloud through the power generated by sompan, he increased space with rainwater.
स घा॑ नो॒ योग॒ आ भु॑व॒त्स रा॒ये स पुरं॑ध्याम् । गम॒द्वाजे॑भि॒रा स नः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जब हमें कोई चिंता होती है अथवा हम इंद्र का चिंतन करते हैं, उस समय इंद्र हमारे सामने प्रकट होते हैं. इंद्र अन्नों को साथ में ले कर हमारे पास आएं. (१)
EN English Translation
When we have any concern or we think of Indra, at that time Indra appears in front of us. Indra should come to us with the grains. (1)
अभु॑त्स्यु॒ प्र दे॒व्या सा॒कं वा॒चाह॑म॒श्विनोः॑ । व्या॑वर्दे॒व्या म॒तिं वि रा॒तिं मर्त्ये॑भ्यः ॥ (१)

मैं अपनेआप को अश्चिनीकुमारों की ज्ञान वृद्धि के साथ रहने वाला मानता हूं. तुम मेरी बुद्धि को प्रकाशित करो तथा मनुष्यों के लिए धन दो. (१)
EN English Translation
I consider myself to be living with the knowledge growth of the Ashwini Kumars. You enlighten My wisdom and give riches to men. (1)
त्वं न॑ इ॒न्द्रा भ॑रँ॒ ओजो॑ नृ॒म्णं श॑तक्रतो विचर्षणे । आ वी॒रं पृ॑तना॒षह॑म् ॥ (१)

हे सैकड़ों कर्म करने वाले इंद्र! तुम हमें धन, बल तथा ऐसी संतान दो, जो हमारे शत्रुओं को हरा सके. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra, who does hundreds of deeds! Give us wealth, strength and children who can defeat our enemies. (1)
त्वं हि स्तो॑म॒वर्ध॑न॒ इन्द्रास्यु॑क्थ॒वर्ध॑नः । स्तो॑तॄ॒णामु॒त भ॑द्र॒कृत् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम स्तोत्रं तथा उवथों से वृद्धि प्राप्त करते हो. तुम स्तुति करने वालों के कल्याणकारी हो. (१)

O Indra! You get growth from stotras and uwasthas. You are the benefactor of those who praise. (1)
स्वा॒दोरि॒त्था वि॑षू॒वतो॒ मध्वः॑ पिबन्ति गौ॒र्य: । या इन्द्रे॑ण स॒याव॑री॒र्वृष्णा॒ मद॑न्ति शो॒भसे॒ वस्वी॒रनु॑ स्व॒राज्य॑म् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्तोत्ररूपी वाणियां विषूवत नाम के यज्ञ के स्वादिष्ट मधु का इस प्रकार पान करती हैं, जिस से वे अनेक शक्तियों वाले इंद्र से मिल कर उन्हें प्रसन्न करती रहें. हे यजमान! इस के बाद तू अपने राज्य पर सुशोभित हो जाएगा. (१)
EN English Translation
The stotra-like vanis drink the delicious honey of the yajna named Vishuwat in such a way that they meet Indra with many powers and please him. O host! After this you will be adorned over your kingdom. (1)
तं वां॒ रथं॑ व॒यम॒द्या हु॑वेम पृथु॒ज्रय॑मश्विना॒ संग॑तिं॒ गोः । यः सू॒र्यां वह॑ति वन्धुरा॒युर्गिर्वा॑हसं पुरु॒तमं॑ वसू॒युम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्विनीकुमारो! आज हम तुम्हारे वेगवान रथ का आह्वान करते हैं. तुम्हारा वह रथ ऊंचेनीचे स्थानों में जाता हुआ सूर्या को वहन करता है. वह रथ वाणी को वहन करने वाला, वसुओं को प्राप्त करने वाला तथा गायों से सुसंगत है. मैं उसी रथ को बुलाता हूं. (१)
EN English Translation
O Ashwinikumaro! Today we call on your fast chariot. That chariot of yours carries the sun while going to the high places. That chariot carries speech, receives vasus and is compatible with cows. I call the same chariot. (1)
इन्द्रा॑य॒ मद्व॑ने सु॒तं परि॑ ष्टोभन्तु नो॒ गिरः॑ । अ॒र्कम॑र्चन्तु का॒रवः॑ ॥ (१)

सेवा के योग्य इस यज्ञ में हमारी वाणियां सोमरस से युक्त हो कर इंद्र की स्तुति करती हुई उन की पूजा करें. (१)
EN English Translation
In this yajna worthy of service, our vanis should be associated with Someras and worship Indra while praising him. (1)
प्र ते॑ म॒हे वि॒दथे॑ शंसिषं॒ हरी॒ प्र ते॑ वन्वे व॒नुषो॑ हर्य॒तं मद॑म् । घृ॒तं न यो हरि॑भि॒श्चारु॒ सेच॑त॒ आ त्वा॑ विशन्तु॒ हरि॑वर्पसं॒ गिरः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारे अश्व शीघ्रता से गमन करने वाले हैं. इस विशाल यज्ञ में मैं उन की प्रशंसा करता हूं. तुम शत्रुओं का वध करने वाले हो. सोमपान से उत्पन्न हुई शक्ति वाले इंद्र से मैं अपना अभीष्ट फल मांगता हूं. जैसे अग्नि में घृत सींचा जाता है, उसी प्रकार इंद्र अपने ही नाम के अश्वों सहित आते हुए धन की वर्षा करते हैं. EN English Translation
Hey Indra! Your horses are going to move quickly. I praise him in this huge yagya. You are the slayer of the enemies. I ask for my desired result from Indra, who has the power generated from Sompan. Just as butter is poured into a fire, similarly Indra showers wealth by coming with his own named horses. (1)
यत्सोम॑मिन्द्र॒ विष्ण॑वि॒ यद्वा॑ घ त्रि॒त आ॒प्त्ये । यद्वा॑ म॒रुत्सु॒ मन्द॑से॒ समिन्दु॑भिः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! त्रित और आप्य यज्ञ में जो तुम हर्षित होते हो, उस हर्ष का कारण जल पूर्ण सोमरस ही है. (१)

O Indra! The reason for the joy that you rejoice in the Trit and Apya Yajna is the water-full Somaras. (1)
वी॒डु चि॑दारुज॒त्नुभि॒र्गुहा॑ चिदिन्द्र॒ वह्नि॑भिः । अवि॑न्द उ॒स्रिया॒ अनु॑ ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! तुम ने उषा काल के बाद ही अपनी ज्योति वाली शक्तियों के द्वारा गुफा में छिपे धन को प्राप्त किया था. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You received the money hidden in the cave only after the Usha period through your light powers. (1)
ता व॒ज्रिणं॑ म॒न्दिनं॒ स्तोम्यं॒ मद॒ इन्द्रं॒ रथे॑ वहतो हर्यता॒ हरी॑ । पु॒रूण्य॑स्मै॒ सव॑नानि॒ हर्य॑त॒ इन्द्रा॑य॒ सोमा॒ हर॑यो दधन्विरे ॥ (१)

सोमरस से उत्पन्न शक्ति प्राप्त करने के लिए इंद्र के अश्व उन्हें हमारे यज्ञ में ला रहे हैं. तीनों सवनों में निचोड़े गए सोम इंद्र को धारण करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Indra's horses are bringing him to our yajna to get the power generated from Someras. Soma, squeezed in the three savanas, holds Indra. (1)
यद॒द्य कच्च॑ वृत्रहन्नु॒दगा॑ अ॒भि सू॑र्य । सर्वं॒ तदि॑न्द्र ते॒ वशे॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सूर्य की उपासना करने वाले इंद्र! तुम ने वृत्र असुर का नाश किया था. तुम जिस समय नंदित होते हो, वह समय तुम्हारे ही अधीन है. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra, who worships the sun! You destroyed the vritra asura. The time when you are nanded is under you. (1)
उ॒भयं॑ शृ॒णव॑च्च न॒ इन्द्रो॑ अ॒र्वागि॒दं वचः॑ । स॒त्राच्या॑ म॒घवा॒ सोम॑पीतये धि॒या शवि॑ष्ठ॒ आ ग॑मत् ॥ (१)

इंद्र दोनों लोकों में हितकारी कार्य करते हैं. वे इंद्र हमारा वचन स्वीकार करने के लिए सुनें. इंद्र देव सोमपान करने आ रहे हैं. (१)

Indra does beneficial work in both the worlds. They listen to Indra accept our word. Indra Dev is coming to do Sompan. (1)
आ रोद॑सी॒ हर्य॑माणो महि॒त्वा नव्यं॑नव्यं हर्यसि॒ मन्म॒ नु प्रि॒यम् । प्र प॒स्त्यमसुर हर्य॒तं गोरा॒विष्कृ॑धि॒ हर॑ये॒ सूर्या॑य ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम अपनी महिमा से आकाश और धरती को व्याप्त करते हो. तुम सदा नवीन रहते हो. तुम हमारे प्रिय स्तोत्र की इच्छा करते हो. तुम पणियों द्वारा चुराई गई गायों को रखने का स्थान सूर्य को बता देते हो. ऐसी कृपा करो कि सूर्य स्तुति करने वालों को वह गोष्ठ अर्थात् गायों को रखने का स्थान दे दें. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You pervad the heavens and the earth with your glory. You are always new. You desire our beloved hymn. You tell the sun the place to keep cows stolen by the wives. Please be kind that those who praise the sun give that seminar i.e. a place to keep cows. (1)
अ॑भ्रातृ॒व्योऽअ॒ना त्वमना॑पिरिन्द्र ज॒नुषा॑ स॒नाद॑सि । यु॒धेदा॑पि॒त्वमि॑च्छसे ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम प्रकट होते ही मिलने की कामना करते हो तथा युद्ध में विजय की इच्छा करते हो. तुम्हारा कोई भी शत्रु शेष नहीं है. (१)

O Indra! You wish to meet as soon as you appear and desire victory in war. You have no enemies left. (1)
अ॒हमिद्धि पि॒तुष्परि॑ मे॒धामृ॒तस्य॑ ज॒ग्रभ॑ । अ॒हं सूर्य॑ इवाजनि ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं सूर्य के समान उत्पन्न हुआ हूं. मैं ने अपने पिता ब्रह्मा की बुद्धि प्राप्त की है. (१)

I was born like the sun. I have attained the wisdom of my father Brahma. (1)
अ॒प्सु धू॒तस्य॑ हरिवः॒ पिबे॒ह नृभिः॑ सु॒तस्य॑ ज॒ठरं॑ पृणस्व । मि॑मि॒क्षुर्यमद्र॑य इन्द्र॒ तुभ्यं॒ तेभि॑र्वर्धस्व॒ मद॑मुक्थवाहः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! अध्वर्यु जनों ने इस सोम का संस्कार किया है. तुम इसे पी कर अपना पेट भर लो. जिस सोम को पत्थर कूट चुके हैं, उसे पीते हुए तुम हर्ष युक्त बनो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Adhwaryu people have performed the rites of this Som. You drink it and fill your stomach. Be happy while drinking the Soma which the stones have crushed. (1)
मा भू॑म॒ निष्ट्या॑ इ॒वेन्द्र॒ त्वदर॑णा इव । वना॑नि॒ न प्र॑जहि॒तान्य॑द्रिवो दु॒रोषा॑सो अमन्महि ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हम तुम्हारा ऋण नहीं चुका सके हैं, इस कारण तुम हमें दुष्ट शत्रु के समान मत मानना. तुम्हारे द्वारा त्याज्य वस्तुओं को हम भी दावानल के समान त्याज्य समझें. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! We have not been able to repay your debt, so do not treat us as evil enemies. We should consider the things you have discarded as a forest. (1)
