इन्द्र॑श्च॒ सोमं॑ पिबतं बृहस्पते॒ऽस्मिन्य॒ज्ञे म॑न्दसा॒ना वृ॑षण्वसू । आ वां॑ विश॒न्त्विन्द॑वः स्वा॒भुवो॒ऽस्मे र॒यिं सर्व॑वीरं॒ नि य॑च्छतम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बृहस्पति देव! तुम और इंद्र इस यज्ञ में प्रसन्न होने वाले तथा धनों की वर्षा करने वाले हो. तुम दोनों सोमरस का पान करो. उत्तम सोमरस ने तुम दोनों के शरीर में प्रवेश किया है. तुम हमें सभी पुत्रों से युक्त धन प्रदान करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Jupiter God! You and Indra are going to be happy in this yajna and rain wealth. You both drink someras. The best Somers has entered the bodies of both of you. Give us wealth with all sons. (1)
आ वो॑ वहन्तु॒ सप्त॑यो रघु॒ष्यदो॑ रघु॒पत्वा॑नः॒ प्र जि॑गात बा॒हुभिः॑ । सी॑दता ब॒र्हिरु॒रु वः॒ सद॑स्कृ॒तं मा॒दय॑ध्वं मरुतो॒ मध्वो॒ अन्ध॑सः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! मंद गति वाले अश्च तुम्हें यज्ञशाला में लाएं. तुम भी शीघ्र गमन के साधनों द्वारा यहां आओ. हम ने तुम्हारे बैठने के लिए यज्ञवेदी के रूप में विशाल स्थान बनाया है. उस पर हम ने कुश बिछाए हैं. तुम उन कुशों पर बैठो. वहां बैठ कर तुम सोमरस पियो और प्रसन्न होओ. (२)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! Slow-moving ashchas bring you to the yagyashala. You also come here by means of speedy movement. We have created a huge space for you to sit in the form of yagnavedi. We have laid kush on it. You sit on those cushions. Sit there and drink someras and be happy. (2)
इ॒मं स्तोम॒मर्ह॑ते जा॒तवे॑दसे॒ रथ॑मिव॒ सं म॑हेमा मनी॒षया॑ । भ॒द्रा हि नः॒ प्रम॑तिरस्य सं॒सद्यग्ने॑ स॒ख्ये मा रि॑षामा व॒यं तव॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
रथकार जिस प्रकार रथ बनाता है, उसी प्रकार हम पूज्य अग्नि के लिए अपनी तीव्र बुद्धि से बनाए गए स्तोत्र से अग्नि देव की पूजा करते हैं. अग्नि के निवास स्थान अर्थात् यज्ञशालाओं में हमारी उत्तम बुद्धि कल्याणकारिणी हो. हे अग्नि देव! तुम्हारे बंधुभाव को प्राप्त कर के हम किसी के द्वारा पराजित न हों. (३)
EN English Translation
Just as the charioteer makes a chariot, in the same way, we worship Agni Dev with a stotra made with our sharp intellect for the revered agni. Our best intellect should be Kalyankarini in the abode of agni i.e. yagyashalas. O God of Agni! We should not be defeated by anyone by attaining your brotherhood. (3)
ऐभि॑रग्ने स॒रथं॑ याह्य॒र्वाङ्ना॑नार॒थं वा॑ वि॒भवो॒ ह्यश्वाः॑ । पत्नी॑वतस्त्रिं॒शतं॒ त्रींश्च॑ दे॒वान॑नुष्व॒धमा व॑ह मा॒दय॑स्व ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम तैंतीस देवताओं के साथ एक रथ पर बैठ कर हमारे यज्ञ में आओ. तुम चाहो तो अनेक रथों में बैठ कर आओ. तुम्हारे अश्व अत्यधिक शक्तिशाली हैं. इसलिए तुम जबजब सोमरस पान के लिए बुलाए जाओ, तबतब उन देवों को पत्नियों सहित यहां लाओ और सोमपान से उन्हें आनंदित करो. (४)
EN English Translation
O agni! You sit on a chariot with thirty-three gods and come to our yagna. If you want, sit in many chariots. Your horses are highly powerful. Therefore, whenever you are called to drink Someras, bring those gods here with your wives and make them happy with Sompan. (4)
