य आ॑त्म॒दा ब॑ल॒दा यस्य॒ विश्व॑ उ॒पास॑ते प्र॒शिषं॒ यस्य॑ दे॒वाः । योऽस्येशे॑ द्वि॒पदो॒ यश्चतु॑ष्पदः॒ कस्मै॑ दे॒वाय॑ ह॒विषा॑ विधेम ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो प्रजापति सभी प्राणियों को प्राण एवं शांति देने वाले हैं, सभी प्राणी एवं देव भी जिन का शासन मानते हैं तथा दो पैरों वाले मनुष्यों और चार पैरों वाले पशुओं के स्वामी हैं. हम हवि द्वारा इस प्रकार के प्रजापति देव की पूजा करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Prajapati, who gives life and peace to all beings, all beings and gods also believe in the rule and is the swami of two-legged humans and four-legged animals. We worship this type of Prajapati Dev by Havi. (1)
यः प्रा॑ण॒तो नि॑मिष॒तो म॑हि॒त्वैको॒ राजा॒ जग॑तो ब॒भूव॑ । यस्य॑ छा॒यामृतं॒ यस्य॑ मृ॒त्युः कस्मै॑ दे॒वाय॑ ह॒विषा॑ विधेम ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो प्रजापति अपने माहात्म्य से सांस लेने वाले और पलक झपकाने वाले समस्त गतिशील प्राणियों के एकमात्र स्वामी हैं, जीवन और मृत्यु छाया के समान जिन के अधीन हैं, मैं हवि के द्वारा उन प्रजापति देव की पूजा करता हूं. (२)
EN English Translation
The Prajapati who is the sole master of all the moving beings who breathe and blink with his greatness, life and death are subject to like a shadow, I worship that Prajapati Dev through Havi. (2)
यं क्रन्द॑सी॒ अव॑तश्चस्कभा॒ने भि॒यसा॑ने॒ रोद॑सी॒ अह्व॑येथाम् । यस्या॒सौ पन्था॒ रज॑सो वि॒मानः॒ कस्मै॑ दे॒वाय॑ ह॒विषा॑ विधेम ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
संसार की रक्षा के लिए धरती और आकाश अपने स्थान पर स्थिर हैं. प्रजापति ने उन्हें निराधार प्रदेश में धारण किया है. नीचे गिरने की आशंका से भयभीत धरती और आकाश के मध्य विद्यमान वे प्रजापति रोए थे, इसलिए इन दोनों का नाम रोदसी हुआ. जिस प्रजापति का आकाश में स्थित मार्ग वर्षा के जल का निर्माण करता है, हम हवि द्वारा उन प्रजापति की पूजा करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
The earth and the sky are fixed in their place to protect the world. Prajapati has worn them in the baseless state. Fearing the fear of falling down, they cried Prajapati, who was present between the earth and the sky, so the name of both of them was Rodsi. The Prajapati whose path in the sky forms the rain water, we worship those Prajapatis through Havi. (3)
यस्य॒ द्यौरु॒र्वी पृ॑थि॒वी च॑ म॒ही यस्या॒द उ॒र्व॒न्तरि॑क्षम् । यस्या॒सौ सूरो॒ वित॑तो महि॒त्वा कस्मै॑ दे॒वाय॑ ह॒विषा॑ विधेम ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिन प्रजापति की महिमा से आकाश विस्तीर्ण और पृथ्वी विस्तृत हुई है, जिन की महिमा से अंतरिक्ष अर्थात् आकाश और पृथ्वी के मध्यवर्ती भाग का विस्तार हुआ है तथा आकाश में प्रत्यक्ष दिखाई देने वाला सूर्य विस्तीर्ण हुआ है, हम हव्य द्वारा उस प्रजापति की पूजा करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
With whose glory the sky has expanded and the earth has expanded, with whose glory space i.e. the central part of the sky and the earth has expanded and the sun that is visible in the sky has expanded, we worship that Prajapati by eve. (4)
यस्य॒ विश्वे॑ हि॒मव॑न्तो महि॒त्वा स॑मु॒द्रे यस्य॑ र॒सामिदा॒हुः । इ॒माश्च॑ प्र॒दिशो॒ यस्य॑ बा॒हू कस्मै॑ दे॒वाय॑ ह॒विषा॑ विधेम ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस प्रजापति देव की महिमा से हिमालय आदि सभी पर्वत उत्पन्न हुए हैं, सागर में सभी सरिताएं जिस की महिमा से समा जाती हैं-पूर्व, पश्चिम, उत्तर एवं दक्षिण चार दिशाएं जिस प्रजापति की भुजाएं हैं, हम हवि के द्वारा उस की पूजा करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
From the glory of Prajapati Dev, all the mountains like the Himalayas etc. have been born, all the streams in the ocean, whose glory is absorbed - east, west, north and south four directions, we worship him through Havi. (5)
आपो॒ अग्रे॒ विश्व॑माव॒न्गर्भं॒ दधा॑ना अ॒मृता॑ ऋत॒ज्ञाः । यासु॑ दे॒वीष्वधि॑ दे॒व आसी॒त्कस्मै॑ दे॒वाय॑ ह॒विषा॑ विधेम ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सृष्टि के आदि में जिन बलों ने सारे जगत् की रक्षा की, अविनाशी और जगत् के कारण हिरण्यगर्भ को जिन दिव्य जलों ने गर्भ के रूप में धारण किया, उन जलों को अपने मध्य धारण करने वाले प्रजापति की हम हवि के द्वारा पूजा करते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
We worship Prajapati, who holds the forces that protected the whole world in the beginning of creation, the imperishable and the divine waters that took Hiranyagarbha as a womb due to the world. (6)
हि॑रण्यग॒र्भः सम॑वर्त॒ताग्रे॑ भू॒तस्य॑ जा॒तः पति॒रेक॑ आसीत् । स दा॑धार पृथि॒वीमु॒त द्यां कस्मै॑ दे॒वाय॑ ह॒विषा॑ विधेम ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सृष्टि के आदि में हिरण्यगर्भ उत्पन्न हुए तथा उत्पन्न होते ही सभी प्राणियों के स्वामी हो गए. उन्होंने इस धरती और आकाश को धारण किया. हम हवि द्वारा उन प्रजापति की पूजा करते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
Hiranyagarbha was born in the beginning of creation and became the swami of all beings as soon as he was born. He took this earth and sky. We worship those Prajapatis by Havi. (7)
आपो॑ व॒त्सं ज॒नय॑न्ती॒र्गर्भ॒मग्रे॒ समै॑रयन् । तस्यो॒त जाय॑मान॒स्योल्ब॑ आसीद्धिर॒ण्ययः॒ कस्मै॑ दे॒वाय॑ ह॒विषा॑ विधेम ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ईश्वर के द्वारा सब से प्रथम निर्मित जलों ने हिरण्यगर्भ को जन्म देने के लिए ईश्वर के वीर्य को धारण किया. उस उत्पन्न होने वाले प्रजापति के उल्ब अर्थात् गर्भ को घेरने वाली झील स्वर्णमय थी. हम हव्य द्वारा उस प्रजापति की पूजा करते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
The first waters created by God wore the semen of God to give birth to Hiranyagarbha. The lake that surrounded the womb of Prajapati, that is, the birth of prajapati, was golden. We worship that Prajapati by Havya. (8)
