उ॒च्चैर्घो॑षो दुन्दु॒भिः स॑त्वना॒यन्वा॑नस्प॒त्यः संभृ॑त उ॒स्रिया॑भिः । वाचं॑ क्षुणुवा॒नो द॒मय॑न्त्स॒पत्ना॑न्त्सिं॒ह इ॑व जे॒ष्यन्न॒भि तं॑स्तनीहि ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दुंदुभि! तू वनस्पतियों से बनाई गई है तथा उच्च स्वर करती है. तू शक्तिशाली जनों के समान आचरण कर तथा उच्च घोष से शत्रुओं का मान मर्दन कर. (१)
EN English Translation
O dundubi! You are made from vegetation and tone high. You behave like powerful people and honor the enemies with a loud voice. (1)
सिं॒ह इ॑वास्तानीद्द्रु॒वयो॒ विब॑द्धोऽभि॒क्रन्द॑न्नृष॒भो वा॑सि॒तामि॑व । वृषा॒ त्वं वध्र॑यस्ते स॒पत्ना॑ ऐ॒न्द्रस्ते॒ शुष्मो॑ अभिमातिषा॒हः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दुदुंभि! तू सिंह के समान गर्जन कर. हे वृक्ष के समान अधिक आयु वाली दुदुंभी! तू गाय को देख कर रंभाने वाले बैल के समान शब्द करती है. विशेष रूप से बंधी हुई तू वीर्य वर्षा करने वाली है, इस कारण तेरे शत्रु शक्ति रहित हो जाते हैं. तेरा बल इंद्र के समान है, इसलिए उसे वीर्य ही सहन कर पाता है. (२)
EN English Translation
O milk! Roar like a lion. O bride with a long life like a tree! You look at the cow and say words like a bull that rams. Especially tied, you are going to rain semen, because of this your enemies become powerless. Your strength is like Indra, so only semen can bear it. (2)
वृषे॑व यू॒थे सह॑सा विदा॒नो ग॒व्यन्न॒भि रु॑व संधनाजित् । शु॒चा वि॑ध्य॒ हृद॑यं॒ परे॑षां हि॒त्वा ग्रामा॒न्प्रच्यु॑ता यन्तु॒ शत्र॑वः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस प्रकार गाय की कामना करने वाला बैल अपने शब्द के कारण झुंड में भी पहचान लिया जाता है, उसी प्रकार हे दुदुंभी! शत्रुओं को जीतने की इच्छा से शब्द कर के उन के हृदयों में संताप भर दे. वे शत्रु हमारे गांवों को छोड़ कर चले जाएं. (३)
EN English Translation
Just as a bull wishing for a cow is also recognized in the herd because of its word, so O Dudumbhi! By saying words with the desire to conquer the enemies, fill their hearts with anger. Those enemies should leave our villages. (3)
सं॒जय॒न्पृत॑ना ऊ॒र्ध्वमा॑यु॒र्गृह्या॑ गृह्णा॒नो ब॑हु॒धा वि च॑क्ष्व । दैवीं॒ वाचं॑ दुन्दुभ॒ आ गु॑रस्व वे॒धाः शत्रू॑णा॒मुप॑ भरस्व॒ वेदः॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दुदुंभि! तू उच्च शब्द करती हुई शत्रु सेनाओं को जीत लेती है. तू उन्हें पकड़ कर युद्ध में विजय प्राप्त करती है. तू दैवी वाणी का उच्चारण कर और शत्रुओं का धन मुझे प्राप्त करा. (४)
EN English Translation
O milk! You win the enemy armies by saying high words. You capture them and win the war. You should utter the divine voice and give me the wealth of enemies. (4)
दु॑न्दु॒भेर्वाचं॒ प्रय॑तां॒ वद॑न्तीमाशृण्व॒ती ना॑थि॒ता घोष॑बुद्धा । नारी॑ पु॒त्रं धा॑वतु हस्त॒गृह्या॑मि॒त्री भी॒ता स॑म॒रे व॒धाना॑म् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दुदुंभि की घोर गर्जना से शत्रुओं की नारियां होश में आ जाती हैं. वे युद्ध में मारे गए शत्रुओं को देख कर भयभीत होती हैं और अपने पुत्र का हाथ पकड़ कर भाग जाती हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
The women of the enemies come to their senses due to the severe roar of Dudunbi. They are frightened to see the enemies killed in the war and run away holding their son's hand. (5)
पूर्वो॑ दुन्दुभे॒ प्र व॑दासि॒ वाचं॒ भूम्याः॑ पृ॒ष्ठे व॑द॒ रोच॑मानः । अ॑मित्रसे॒नाम॑भि॒जञ्ज॑भानो द्यु॒मद्व॑द दुन्दुभे सू॒नृता॑वत् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दुदुंभि! तेरी ध्वनि सब से पहले निकलती है, इसलिए तू शत्रु सेना का विनाश कर तथा पृथ्वी के ऊपर सत्य वचनों का प्रचार कर. (६)
EN English Translation
O milk! Your voice comes first, so destroy the enemy army and preach the true words on the earth. (6)
अ॑न्त॒रेमे नभ॑सी॒ घोषो॑ अस्तु॒ पृथ॑क्ते ध्व॒नयो॑ यन्तु॒ शीभ॑म् । अ॒भि क्र॑न्द स्त॒नयो॒त्पिपा॑नः श्लोक॒कृन्मि॑त्र॒तूर्या॑य स्व॒र्धी ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दुदुंभि! धरती और आकाश के मध्य तेरी ध्वनियां अनेक रूपों में व्याप्त हों तथा शोभन प्रतीत हों. तू उच्च शब्द से समृद्ध हो तथा मित्रों में वेग व्याप्त करने के लिए उच्च स्वर से गर्जन कर. (७)
EN English Translation
O milk! May your sounds pervade in many forms between the earth and the sky and appear to be pleasant. You should be rich in the high word and roar with a high voice to increase the velocity among the friends. (7)
धी॒भिः कृ॒तः प्र व॑दाति॒ वाच॒मुद्ध॑र्षय॒ सत्व॑ना॒मायु॑धानि । इन्द्र॑मेदी॒ सत्व॑नो॒ नि ह्व॑यस्व मि॒त्रैर॒मित्राँ॒ अव॑ जङ्घनीहि ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दुदुंभि! कुशलतापूर्वक बजाने पर तू मोहक शब्द निकालती है. शक्तिशाली मनुष्यों के आयुधों को ऊंचा कर के तू उन्हें प्रसन्न बना. तू वीरों का आह्वान करती हुई हमारे मित्रों द्वारा हमारे शत्रुओं का विनाश करा, क्योंकि तू इंद्र की प्रिया है. (८)
EN English Translation
O milk! When played efficiently, you remove seductive words. You make them happy by raising the arms of powerful men. You invoke the heroes and destroy our enemies through our friends, because you are the beloved of Indra. (8)
सं॒क्रन्द॑नः प्रव॒दो धृ॒ष्णुषे॑णः प्रवेद॒कृद्ब॑हु॒धा ग्रा॑मघो॒षी । श्रेयो॑ वन्व॒नो व॒युना॑नि वि॒द्वान्की॒र्तिं ब॒हुभ्यो॒ वि ह॑र द्विरा॒जे ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दुदुंभि! तू गर्जन करने वाले गौवों को गुंजित करने वाली, धनदात्री और सेना को साहस प्रदान करने वाली है. तू कल्याण करने वाली एवं उत्तम पुरुषों को जानने वाली है. तू इन दो राजाओं के युद्ध के मध्य अनेक वीरों को कीर्ति प्रदान कर. (९)
EN English Translation
O milk! You are going to give courage to the roaring cows, to the rich and to the army. You are the doer of welfare and know the best men. In the midst of the war of these two kings, give glory to many heroes. (9)
श्रेयः॑केतो वसु॒जित्सही॑यान्त्संग्राम॒जित्संशि॑तो॒ ब्रह्म॑णासि । अं॒शूनि॑व॒ ग्रावा॑धि॒षव॑णे॒ अद्रि॑र्ग॒व्यन्दु॑न्दु॒भेऽधि॑ नृत्य॒ वेदः॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे संग्राम में विजय प्राप्त करने वाली दुदुंभी! तू कल्याणी, धन जीतने वाली, शक्तिशालिनी एवं मंत्र के द्वारा ती&ष्ण बनाई हुई है. अधिश्रवण काल में पर्वत अपने पाषाण खंडों को दबाता हुआ नृत्य करता है, उसी प्रकार तू भी शत्रुओं के धन पर अधिकार करती हुई नृत्य कर. (१०)
EN English Translation
O dudunbhy who conquered the battle! You are kalyani, wealth-conquering, powerful and made by mantra. In the overspiration period, the mountain dances pressing its stone blocks, in the same way you also dance while capturing the wealth of enemies. (10)
शत्रू॑षाण्नी॒षाड॑भिमातिषा॒हो ग॒वेष॑णः॒ सह॑मान उ॒द्भित् । वा॒ग्वीव॒ मन्त्रं॒ प्र भ॑रस्व॒ वाचं सांग्रा॑मजित्या॒येष॒मुद्व॑दे॒ह ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दुदुंभि! तू ऐसा शब्द निकालती है, जो शत्रुओं की वाणी से टवकर ले सके. तू गवेषणा करने वाले बातूनी पुरुष के समान युद्ध जीतने के निमित्त शब्द करती हुई गूंज. (११)
EN English Translation
O milk! You bring out a word that can take away from the voice of enemies. You echo the words to win the war like a talkative man who investigates. (11)
अ॑च्युत॒च्युत्स॒मदो॒ गमि॑ष्ठो॒ मृधो॒ जेता॑ पुरए॒तायो॒ध्यः । इन्द्रे॑ण गु॒प्तो वि॒दथा॑ निचिक्यद्धृ॒द्द्योत॑नो द्विष॒तां या॑हि॒ शीभ॑म् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे युद्ध में विजय प्राप्त करने वाली दुदुंभी! तू हर्ष से पूर्ण है एवं डिगती नहीं है. तू आगे युद्ध में जा कर योद्धाओं की प्रेरक और युद्ध जीतने वाली है. इंद्र के द्वारा रक्षित तू शत्रुओं के हृदयों को जलाती हुई उन के समीप जा. (१२)
EN English Translation
O bitter man who has won the war! You are full of joy and not sorrowful. You are going to go to war ahead and inspire the warriors and win the war. Protected by Indra, you should go near the enemies, burning their hearts. (12)
