उप॒मितां॑ प्रति॒मिता॒मथो॑ परि॒मिता॑मु॒त । शाला॑या वि॒श्ववा॑राया न॒द्धानि॒ वि चृ॑तामसि ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उपमिता, प्रतिमिता और परिमिता जो शालाएं हैं, उन में से किसी भी शाला को खोलते हुए हम सब के लिए वरण करने योग्य शाला के द्वार खोलते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
By opening any of the schools that are upmita, pratimita and parimita, we open the doors of a selectable school for all of us. (1)
साह॒स्रस्त्वे॒ष ऋ॑ष॒भः पय॑स्वा॒न्विश्वा॑ रू॒पाणि॑ व॒क्षणा॑सु॒ बिभ्र॑त् । भ॒द्रं दा॒त्रे यज॑मानाय शिक्षन्बार्हस्प॒त्य उ॒स्रिय॒स्तन्तु॒माता॑न् ॥ (१)

यह शक्तिशाली वृषभ अर्थात् बैल हजारों गायों को गर्भिणी बनाने में समर्थ है. यह अपनी वीर्यवाहिनी नाड़ियों में अनेक रूप धारण करता है. बृहस्पति संबंधी मंत्रों से युक्त यह बैल गायों के योग्य है. यह दान देने वाले यजमान का मंगल करता हुआ अपनी संतान की वृद्धि करे. (१)
EN English Translation
This powerful Taurus i.e. bull is capable of making thousands of cows pregnant. It takes many forms in its semen vessels. This bull with Jupiter-related mantras is worthy of cows. May it increase your child by thanking the donor host. (1)
आ न॑यै॒तमा र॑भस्व सु॒कृतां॑ लो॒कमपि॑ गच्छतु प्रजा॒नन् । ती॒र्त्वा तमां॑सि बहु॒धा म॒हान्त्य॒जो नाक॒मा क्र॑मतां तृ॒तीय॑म् ॥ (१)

इस अज को लाओ और यज्ञ कर्म आरंभ करो. जानता हुआ यह पुण्यात्माओं के लोक को भी जाए. यह अनेक प्रकार के विशाल अंधकारों को पार कर के तीसरे स्वर्ग में पहुंचे. (१)

Bring this aj and start the yajna karma. Knowing that it should also go to the world of the saints. He overcame many types of vast darknesses and reached the third heaven. (1)
यो वि॒द्याद्ब्रह्म॑ प्र॒त्यक्षं॒ परूं॑षि॒ यस्य॑ संभा॒रा ऋचो॒ यस्या॑नूक्यम् ॥ (१)

जो ब्रह्म को प्रत्यक्ष रूप में जानता है, उस की गांठें ही संभार हैं तथा तऋचाएं उस का अनूवय हैं. (१)

He who knows Brahman directly, his knots are the sambhar and the verses are his followers. (1)
यजमानब्राह्म॒णं वा ए॒तदति॑थिपतिः कुरुते॒ यदा॑हा॒र्याणि॒ प्रेक्ष॑त इ॒दं भूया३ इ॒दा३मिति॑ ॥ (१)

जो यजमान को अथवा ब्राह्मण को अतिथि पति अर्थात् अतिथि का पालन करने वाला बनता है, वह आहार्य अर्थात् यज्ञ संबंधी द्रव्य को देखता हुआ कहता है कि यह होना चाहिए. (१)
EN English Translation
The one who becomes the host or the Brahmin who follows the guest husband i.e. the guest, he looks at the food i.e. the substance related to the yajna and says that it should be. (1)
इ॒ष्टं च॒ वा ए॒ष पू॒र्तं च॑ गृ॒हाणा॑मश्नाति॒ यः पूर्वोऽति॑थेर॒श्नाति॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो अतिथि से पहले भोजन कर लेता है, वह अपने में होने वाले इष्टापूर्त कर्मों का फल खा लेता है. संध्या आदि नित्य कर्म इष्ट और किसी प्रयोजन से किए जाने वाले यज्ञ आदि कर्म आपूर्त कहलाते हैं. (१)

He who eats before the guest eats, he eats the fruits of the favored deeds in him. Sandhya etc. are called daily karma favored and yajna etc. karma done for some purpose are called apoorta. (1)

प्र॒जाप॑तिश्च परमे॒ष्ठी च॒ शृङ्गे॒ इन्द्रः॒ शिरो॑ अ॒ग्निर्ल॒लाटं॑ य॒मः कृका॑टम् ॥ (१)

इस गाय के दोनों सींग प्रजापति और परमेष्ठी हैं. इंद्र ही इस का सिर, अग्नि ललाट और यम कृकाट अर्थात् गले के नीचे लटकता हुआ भाग है. (१)
EN English Translation
Both the horns of this cow are Prajapati and Parmeshti. Indra is the head of this, agni frontal and Yama Krikat i.e. the hanging part under the neck. (1)
शीर्ष॒क्तिं शी॑र्षाम॒यं क॑र्णशू॒लं वि॑लोहि॒तम् । सर्वं॑ शीर्ष॒ण्यं ते॒ रोगं॑ ब॒हिर्निर्म॑न्त्रयामहे ॥ (१)

हम तेरे शीश के रोगों अर्थात् शीर्षोक्ति, शीर्षामय और कर्ण शूल तथा विलोहित को तुझ से दूर करते हैं. (१)

We remove from you the diseases of your head, that is, headlessness, and ear-care and willing. (1)
दि॒वस्पृ॑थि॒व्या अ॒न्तरि॑क्षात्समु॒द्राद॒ग्नेर्वाता॑न्मधुक॒शा हि ज॒ज्ञे । तां चा॑यि॒त्वामृतं॒ वसा॑नां हृ॒द्भिः प्र॒जाः प्रति॑ नन्दन्ति॒ सर्वाः॑ ॥ (१)

स्वर्ग, पृथ्वी, अंतरिक्ष, सागर और अग्नि से मधुकशा गौ उत्पन्न हुई. अमृत को धारण करने वाली उस मधुकशा गौ का सच्चे मन से पूजन करने वाली समस्त प्रजाएं संतुष्ट होती हैं. (१)

Madhukasha Cow was born from heaven, earth, space, ocean and agni. All the people who worship that madhukasha cow wearing nectar with a true heart are satisfied. (1)
अ॒स्य वा॒मस्य॑ पलि॒तस्य॒ होतु॒स्तस्य॒ भ्राता॑ मध्य॒मो अ॒स्त्यश्नः॑ । तृ॒तीयो॒ भ्राता॑ घृ॒तपृ॑ष्ठो अ॒स्यात्रा॑पश्यं वि॒श्पतिं॑ स॒प्तपु॑त्रम् ॥ (१)

आह्वान करने योग्य सूर्य स्तुति कर्ता का पालन करते हैं. उन सूर्य के मध्यम भ्राता वायु देव हैं जो आकाश में जल ले जाते हैं. इन सूर्य देव के तीसरे भ्राता अग्नि हैं. इस प्रकार मैं सूर्य को ही प्रमुख एवं आश्चर्यजनक समझता हूं. (१)

Invoke the Sun follows the praiser. The middle brother of those suns is the air god who carries water in the sky. Agni is the third brother of sun god. In this way, I consider the sun to be the main and surprising. (1)
सपत्न॒हन॑मृष॒भं घृ॒तेन॒ कामं॑ शिक्षामि ह॒विषाज्ये॑न । नी॒चैः स॒पत्ना॒न्मम॑ पादय॒ त्वम॒भिष्टु॑तो मह॒ता वी॒र्येण ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं शत्रु विनाशक वृषभ रूपी काम को हवि एवं आज्य से प्रसन्न करता हूं. हे वृषभ! तुम्हारी स्तुति करने वाले मुझ स्तोता के शत्रुओं को तुम अपने महान पराक्रम से नीचे गिराओ. (१)

I please the work of Taurus, the destroyer of the enemy, with havi and ajya. O Taurus! Bring down the enemies of my psalms who praise you with your great might. (1)
यद्गा॑य॒त्रे अधि॑ गाय॒त्रमाहि॑तं॒ त्रैष्टु॑भं वा॒ त्रैष्टु॑भान्नि॒रत॑क्षत । यद्वा॒ जग॒ज्जग॒त्याहि॑तं प॒दं य इत्तद्वि॒दुस्ते अ॑मृत॒त्वमा॑नशुः ॥ (१)

गायत्र में गायत्र छिपा हुआ है और त्रैष्टुभम् में त्रैष्टुभ व्याप्त है. जो लोग जगती में छिपे हुए जगत् को जानते हैं, वे अमृत का उपभोग करते हैं. (१)

Gayatra is hidden in Gayatra and Traishtubh is pervaded in Traishtubham. Those who know the world hidden in the world, they attain eternity. (1)
यत्ते॑ न॒द्धं वि॑श्ववारे॒ पाशो॑ ग्र॒न्थिश्च॒ यः कृ॒तः । बृह॒स्पति॑रिवा॒हं ब॒लं वा॒चा वि स्रं॑सयामि॒ तत् ॥ (२)

हे वरण करने योग्य शाला! तुझ में जो बंधन है, जो पाश है और जो गाठे हैं, उन्हें बृहस्पति के समान शक्तिशाली मैं अपने मंत्र बल से खोलता हूं. (२)
EN English Translation
O selectable school! The bondage in you, the loop and the ones that are knots, I open them as powerful as Jupiter with my mantra force. (2)
अ॒पां यो अग्ने॑ प्रति॒मा ब॒भूव॑ प्र॒भूः सर्व॑स्मै पृथि॒वीव॑ दे॒वी । पि॒ता व॒त्सानां॒ पति॑र॒घ्न्यानां॑ साह॒स्रे पोषे॒ अपि॑ नः कृणोतु ॥ (२)

जो बैल जलों के समान एवं प्रतिमा के समान खड़ा हुआ, जो पृथ्वी के समान सब का स्वामी है, जो बछड़ों का पिता तथा हिंसा न करने योग्य गायों का पति है, वह हमें हजारों प्रकार से संपन्न बनाए. (२)

The bull that stood like water and like a statue, who is the master of all like the earth, who is the father of calves and the husband of non-violence cows, made us prosperous in thousands of ways. (2)
इन्द्रा॑य भा॒गं परि॑ त्वा नयाम्य॒स्मिन्य॒ज्ञे यज॑मानाय सू॒रिम् । ये नो॑ द्वि॒षन्त्यनु॒ तान्र॑भ॒स्वाना॑गसो॒ यज॑मानस्य वी॒राः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अज! मैं इस यज्ञ में तुझे इंद्र के भाग के लिए यजमान के समीप ले जा रहा हूं. जो हमारे शन्रु हैं, तू उन पर पैर रख और यजमान के पुत्र आदि को पाप रहित बना. (२)

O Aj! I am taking you to the host for Indra's part in this yajna. Set your feet on those who are our peace, and make the host's sons, etc., sinless. (2)
सामा॑नि॒ यस्य॒ लोमा॑नि॒ यजु॒र्हृद॑यमु॒च्यते॑ परि॒स्तर॑ण॒मिद्ध॒विः ॥ (२)

जो अतिथि से बारबार भोजन करने की बात कहता है, वह प्राण शक्ति की वृद्धि करता है. (२)

जो अतिथियों से पहले भोजन करता है, वह अपने घरों के दूध और रस को नष्ट करता है. (२)

The one who eats before the guests destroys the milk and juice of his houses. (2)
याव॑दग्निष्टो॒मेने॒ष्ट्वा सुस॑मृद्धेनावरु॒न्द्धे ताव॑देने॒नाव॑ रुन्द्धे ॥ (२)

यजमान अग्निष्टोम यज्ञ के द्वारा स्वर्ग में जितना समृद्धिपूर्ण स्थान पा सकता है, उतना ही अतिथि सेवा के द्वारा प्राप्त कर सकता है. (२)

The host can get as much prosperous place in heaven through Agnistom Yagya, as much as he can get through guest service. (2)
बृह॒स्पति॑रू॒र्जयोद्गा॑यति॒ त्वष्टा॒ पुष्ट्या॒ प्रति॑ हरति॒ विश्वे॑ दे॒वा नि॒धन॑म् ॥ (२)

अन्न के रस से उत्पन्न ऊर्जा से बृहस्पति उदगायन करते हैं, त्वष्टा पुष्टि प्रदान करते हैं और विश्वे देव पूर्णता प्रदान करते हैं. (२)

Jupiter rises with the energy generated from the juice of food, provides tvashta confirmation and Vishme Dev provides perfection. (2)

सोम राजा गाय का मस्तक है, द्यौ ऊपर की ठोड़ी और धरती ठोड़ी का ऊपर वाला भाग है. (२)

Som Raja is the head of the cow, the upper chin and the earth is the upper part of the chin. (2)
कर्णा॑भ्यां ते॒ कङ्कू॑षेभ्यः कर्णशू॒लं वि॒सल्प॑कम् । सर्वं॑ शीर्ष॒र्ण्यं ते॒ रोगं॑ ब॒हिर्निर्म॑न्त्रयामहे ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं तेरे कानों से तथा कानों के गङ्ढों से कर्णशूल अर्थात् कानों के दर्द को तथा विसल्पक (विशेष कष्ट देने वाले)को दूर करता हूं. इस प्रकार मैं तेरे शीश संबंधी सभी रोगों को दूर करता हूं. (२)

I remove from your ears and from the necks of the ears, that is, the pain of the ears and the diffuser (the one who causes special pain). In this way, I remove all diseases related to your head. (2)
म॒हत्पयो॑ वि॒श्वरू॑पमस्याः समु॒द्रस्य॑ त्वो॒त रेत॑ आहुः । यत॒ ऐति॑ मधुक॒शा ररा॑णा॒ तत्प्रा॒णस्तद॒मृतं॒ निवि॑ष्टम् ॥ (२)

इस मधुकशा गौ के विश्व रूपी महान दूध को सागर का बल कहा गया है. स्तुतियों से आकर्षित हो कर यह मधुकशा गौ जिधर जाती है, वहां रहने वालों के प्राणों में अमृत स्थापित हो जाता है. (२)

The great milk of this honeycomb cow has been called the force of the ocean. Attracted by praises, wherever this Madhukasha cow goes, nectar is established in the lives of those living there. (2)
स॒प्त यु॑ञ्जन्ति॒ रथ॒मेक॑चक्र॒मेको॒ अश्वो॑ वहति स॒प्तना॑मा । त्रि॒नाभि॑ च॒क्रम॒जर॑मन॒र्वं यत्रे॒मा विश्वा॒ भुव॒नाधि॑ त॒स्थुः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सूर्य॒ के एक पहिए वाले रथ में सात किरणें जुड़ जाती हैं जो सरकने वाली हैं एवं अन्य ज्योतियों को पराजित करने वाली हैं. सात ऋषियों द्वारा नमस्कार करने योग्य उन सूर्य के रथ को एक घोड़ा खींचता है. सूर्य के रथ के पहिए में ग्रीष्म, वर्षा एवं शीत ऋतु रूपी तीन नाभियां हैं. यह जर्जर न होने वाला पहिया सदैव घूमता रहता है. सूर्य के द्वारा कालनिर्धारण में ही समस्त विश्व आश्रित है. EN English Translation
In the one-wheeled chariot of the sun, seven rays are added which are sliding and defeating other lights. A horse pulls the chariot of those suns worthy of being greeted by the seven sages. The wheel of the sun's chariot has three navels in the form of summer, rain and winter season. This non-shabby wheel always rotates. The whole world is dependent on the determination of the sun. (2)
यन्मे॒ मन॑सो॒ न प्रि॒यं न चक्षु॑षो॒ यन्मे॒ बभ॑स्ति॒ नाभि॒नन्द॑ति । तद्दुः॒ष्वप्न्यं॒ प्रति॑ मुञ्चामि स॒पत्ने॒ कामं॑ स्तु॒त्वोद॒हं भि॑देयम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो बुरा स्वप्न न मुझ को अच्छा लगता है और न मेरे नेत्रों को सुहाता है, जो मुझे भक्षण करता हुआ मालूम होता है और मुझे प्रसन्न नहीं करता, उस बुरे स्वप्र को काम की स्तुति करने वाला मैं शन्रु की ओर छोड़ता हूं. वह बुरा स्वप्न रूपी शत्रु का भेदन करे. (२)
EN English Translation
The bad dream that neither makes me like nor makes my eyes pleasant, which seems to be devouring to me and does not please me, I leave that bad self to the one who praises the work towards the moon. He should penetrate the enemy of a bad dream. (2)
गा॑य॒त्रेण॒ प्रति॑ मिमीते अ॒र्कम॒र्केण॒ साम॒ त्रैष्टु॑भेन वा॒कम् । वा॒केन॑ वा॒कं द्वि॒पदा॒ चतु॑ष्पदा॒क्षरे॑ण मिमते स॒प्त वाणीः॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
गायत्र से अर्क अर्थात् सूर्य का निर्माण होता है. अर्क से साम का और त्रैष्टुभ से वाक का निर्माण होता है. वाक् से वाकू को तथा द्विपदा एवं चतुष्पदा तथा अविनाशी ब्रह्म से सप्तवाणी अर्थात् सात प्रकार के वेद के छंद निर्मित होते हैं. (२)

Extract i.e. sun is formed from the cow. Sam is formed from extract and speech is formed from Trishtubh. Speech leads to vaku and dwipada and chatushpada and imperishable Brahma to saptavani i.e. verses of seven types of Vedas are made. (2)
