सपत्न॒हन॑मृष॒भं घृ॒तेन॒ कामं॑ शिक्षामि ह॒विषाज्ये॑न । नी॒चैः स॒पत्ना॒न्मम॑ पादय॒ त्वम॒भिष्टु॑तो मह॒ता वी॒र्येण ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं शत्रु विनाशक वृषभ रूपी काम को हवि एवं आज्य से प्रसन्न करता हूं. हे वृषभ! तुम्हारी स्तुति करने वाले मुझ स्तोता के शत्रुओं को तुम अपने महान पराक्रम से नीचे गिराओ. (१)
EN English Translation
I please the work of Taurus, the destroyer of the enemy, with havi and ajya. O Taurus! Bring down the enemies of my psalms who praise you with your great might. (1)
यन्मे॒ मन॑सो॒ न प्रि॒यं न चक्षु॑षो॒ यन्मे॒ बभ॑स्ति॒ नाभि॒नन्द॑ति । तद्दुः॒ष्वप्न्यं॒ प्रति॑ मुञ्चामि स॒पत्ने॒ कामं॑ स्तु॒त्वोद॒हं भि॑देयम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो बुरा स्वप्न न मुझ को अच्छा लगता है और न मेरे नेत्रों को सुहाता है, जो मुझे भक्षण करता हुआ मालूम होता है और मुझे प्रसन्न नहीं करता, उस बुरे स्वप्र को काम की स्तुति करने वाला मैं शन्रु की ओर छोड़ता हूं. वह बुरा स्वप्न रूपी शत्रु का भेदन करे. (२)
EN English Translation
The bad dream that neither makes me like nor makes my eyes pleasant, which seems to be devouring to me and does not please me, I leave that bad self to the one who praises the work towards the moon. He should penetrate the enemy of a bad dream. (2)
दुः॒ष्वप्न्यं॑ काम दुरि॒तं च॑ कमाप्र॒जस्ता॑मस्व॒गता॒मव॑र्तिम् । उ॒ग्र ईशा॑नः॒ प्रति॑ मुञ्च॒ तस्मि॒न्यो अ॒स्मभ्य॑मंहूर॒णा चिकि॑त्सात् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे उग्र एवं स्वामी कामदेव! तुम अपने स्वप्न रूपी पाप को प्रजा अर्थात् संतान की हीनता को एवं निर्धनता को उसी और भेजो जो पराजय कर के हमें विपत्ति में डालने की चेष्टा करता है. (३)
EN English Translation
O fierce and swami Kamadeva! You should send your dream sin to the inferiority of the people, that is, the children, and the poverty to the one who tries to defeat and put us in disaster. (3)
नु॒दस्व॑ काम॒ प्र णु॑दस्व का॒माव॑र्तिं यन्तु॒ मम॒ ये स॒पत्नाः॑ । तेषां॑ नु॒त्ताना॑मध॒मा तमां॒स्यग्ने॒ वास्तू॑नि॒ निर्द॑ह॒ त्वम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कामदेव! दरिद्रता को उन की और जाने के लिए प्रेरित करो जो मेरे शत्रु हैं. वे ही मेरी दरिद्रता को प्राप्त करें. हे अग्नि! वे अंधकार में पड़े रहें. तुम उन के घर की वस्तुओं को भस्म कर दो. (४)
EN English Translation
O Cupid! Inspire poverty to go towards those who are my enemies. They are the ones who attain my poverty. O agni! They should remain in darkness. You consume the objects of their house. (4)
सा ते॑ काम दुहि॒ता धे॒नुरु॑च्यते॒ यामा॒हुर्वाचं॑ क॒वयो॑ वि॒राज॑म् । तया॑ स॒पत्ना॒न्परि॑ वृङ्ग्धि॒ ये मम॒ पर्ये॑नान्प्रा॒णः प॒शवो॒ जीव॑नं वृणक्तु ॥ (५)

हे कामदेव! सभी जिसे ओजपूर्ण वाणी कहते हैं, वह तुम्हारी पुत्री है. तुम उस के द्वारा मेरे शत्रुओं का नाश करो. प्राण, पशु और जीवन उन के पास न रहें. (५)
EN English Translation
O Cupid! What everyone calls energetic speech is your daughter. Destroy my enemies through him. Life, animals and life should not be with them. (5)
काम॒स्येन्द्र॑स्य॒ वरु॑णस्य॒ राज्ञो॒ विष्णो॒र्बले॑न सवि॒तुः स॒वेन॑ । अ॒ग्नेर्हो॒त्रेण॒ प्र णु॑दे स॒पत्ना॑ञ्छ॒म्बीव॒ नाव॑मुद॒केषु॒ धीरः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस प्रकार पतवार धारण करने वाला नाविक नौका चलाता है, उसी प्रकार मैं कामदेव के, इंद्र के, राजा वरुण के, विष्णु के और सविता के बल से तथा देवों के यज्ञ से शत्रुओं को दूर भगाता हूं. (६)
EN English Translation
Just as the sailor who holds the helm drives the boat, in the same way I drive away the enemies by the strength of Kamadeva, Indra, King Varuna, Vishnu and Savita and with the sacrifice of the gods. (6)
अध्य॑क्षो वा॒जी मम॒ काम॑ उ॒ग्रः कृ॒णोतु॒ मह्य॑मसप॒त्नमे॒व । विश्वे॑ दे॒वा मम॑ ना॒थं भ॑वन्तु॒ सर्वे॑ दे॒वा हव॒मा य॑न्तु म इ॒मम् ॥ (७)

सभी देव मेरे इस यज्ञ में आएं एवं मेरे स्वामी, शक्तिशाली कामदेव मेरी आंखों के सामने ही इसे पूर्ण करें तथा मुझे शत्रु रहित बनाएं. (७)
EN English Translation
May all the gods come to this yagna of mine and my master, the powerful Kamadeva, complete it in front of my eyes and make me enemy-free. (7)
इ॒दमाज्यं॑ घृ॒तव॑ज्जुषा॒णाः काम॑ज्येष्ठा इ॒ह मा॑दयध्वम् । कृ॒ण्वन्तो॒ मह्य॑मसप॒त्नमे॒व ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कामदेव को अपने से बड़ा मानने वाले देवो! मेरे घृत वाले आज्य का सेवन करते हुए तुम सुखी रहो. (८)
EN English Translation
O God who considers Cupid to be greater than you! May you be happy while consuming my disgusting ajya. (8)
इ॑न्द्रा॒ग्नी का॑म स॒रथं॒ हि भू॒त्वा नी॒चैः स॒पत्ना॒न्मम॑ पादयाथः । तेषां॑ प॒न्नाना॑मध॒मा तमां॒स्यग्ने॒ वास्तू॑न्यनु॒निर्द॑ह॒ त्वम् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कामदेव! इंद्र और अग्नि रथ पर सवार हो कर मेरे शत्रुओं को नीचे गिराते हैं. हे अग्नि! उन गिरे हुए शत्रुओं को अंधकार प्रकट कर के नष्ट करो एवं उन के घर की सभी वस्तुओं को जला डालो. (९)
EN English Translation
O Cupid! Indra and Agni ride on the chariot and bring down my enemies. O agni! Destroy those fallen enemies by revealing darkness and burn all the things in their house. (9)
ज॒हि त्वं का॑म॒ मम॒ ये स॒पत्ना॑ अ॒न्धा तमां॒स्यव॑ पादयैनान् । निरि॑न्द्रिया अर॒साः स॑न्तु॒ सर्वे॒ मा ते जी॑विषुः कत॒मच्च॒नाहः॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कामदेव! लुम मेरे शत्रुओं का संहार करो तथा उन्हें घने अंधकार में गिराओ. वे सब इंद्रिय रहित एवं शक्तिहीन हो जाएं तथा वे कुछ ही दिन जीवित रहें. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Cupid! Lum kill my enemies and drop them into the thick darkness. They should all become senseless and powerless and they should live only for a few days. (10)
अव॑धी॒त्कामो॒ मम॒ ये स॒पत्ना॑ उ॒रुं लो॒कम॑कर॒न्मह्य॑मेध॒तुम् । मह्यं॑ नमन्तां प्र॒दिश॒श्चत॑स्रो॒ मह्यं॒ षडु॒र्वीर्घृ॒तमा व॑हन्तु ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
कामदेव ने मेरे शत्रुओं का विनाश कर डाला तथा मेरी वृद्धि के लिए उस ने महान लोक का निर्माण किया. चारों दिशाओं के प्राणी मुझे नमस्कार करें तथा छः पृथ्वियां मेरे लिए घृत प्रदान करें. (११)
EN English Translation
Cupid destroyed my enemies and created great people for my growth. Let the creatures of all four directions greet me and give six earths for me. (11)
तेध॒राञ्चः॒ प्र प्ल॑वन्तां छि॒न्ना नौरि॑व॒ बन्ध॑नात् । न साय॑कप्रणुत्तानां॒ पुन॑रस्ति नि॒वर्त॑नम् ॥ (१२)

बंधन टूटने पर नौका जिस प्रकार नीचे की ओर बहती है, मेरे शत्रु उसी प्रकार नीचे गिरते चले जाएं, क्योंकि जो लोग बाण से घायल हो कर भागते है, वे वापस नहीं आते. (१२)
EN English Translation
The way the boat flows down when the bond is broken, my enemies should go down in the same way, because those who run away injured by the arrow do not come back. (12)
अ॒ग्निर्यव॒ इन्द्रो॒ यवः॒ सोमो॒ यवः॑ । य॑व॒यावा॑नो दे॒वा य॑वयन्त्वेनम् ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि, इंद्र और सोमदेव-ये सभी देव मेरे शत्रुओं को दूर भगाएं. (१३)
EN English Translation
Agni, Indra and Somdev - may all these gods drive away my enemies. (13)
अस॑र्ववीरश्चरतु॒ प्रणु॑त्तो॒ द्वेष्यो॑ मि॒त्राणां॑ परिव॒र्ग्यः स्वाना॑म् । उ॒त पृ॑थि॒व्यामव॑ स्यन्ति वि॒द्युत॑ उ॒ग्रो वो॑ दे॒वः प्र मृ॑णत्स॒पत्ना॑न् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इस मंत्र की शक्ति से प्रेरणा पा कर मेरा शत्रु पुत्रों, पौत्रों एवं समस्त वीरों से रहित हो कर घूमे. उस के मित्र भी उस का त्याग कर दें. विद्युत पृथ्वी पर उस के टुकड़े कर दे. हे यजमान! देवगण तुम्हारे शत्रुओं का मर्दन करें. (१४)
EN English Translation
Inspired by the power of this mantra, my enemy roamed free from sons, grandsons and all the heroes. His friends should also abandon him. Make electricity cut it into pieces on earth. O host! May the gods kill your enemies. (14)
च्यु॒ता चे॒यं बृ॑ह॒त्यच्यु॑ता च वि॒द्युद्बि॑भर्ति स्तनयि॒त्नूंश्च॒ सर्वा॑न् । उ॒द्यन्ना॑दि॒त्यो द्रवि॑णेन॒ तेज॑सा नी॒चैः स॒पत्ना॑न्नुदतां मे॒ सह॑स्वान् ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो बिजली अपने गर्जन से सभी मेघों को पूर्ण कर देती है, वह नीचे गिर कर अथवा अपने स्थान पर रह कर तथा उदय होते हुए सूर्य अपने शक्तिशाली तेज के द्वारा मेरे शत्रुओं को नीचे गिराएं. (१५)
EN English Translation
The lightning that completes all the clouds with its roar, let it fall down or stay in its place and the rising sun down my enemies with its powerful radiance. (15)
यत्ते॑ काम॒ शर्म॑ त्रि॒वरू॑थमु॒द्भु ब्रह्म॒ वर्म॒ वित॑तमनतिव्या॒ध्यं कृ॒तम् । तेन॑ स॒पत्ना॒न्परि॑ वृङ्ग्धि॒ ये मम॒ पर्ये॑नान्प्रा॒णः प॒शवो॒ जीव॑नं वृणक्तु ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कामदेव! तुम्हारा जो कल्याणकारी बल तीनों लोकों को पराजित करने वाला है, उस के एवं ब्रह्म रूपी विस्तृत कवच के द्वारा तुम मेरे शत्रुओं का विनाश करो. उन का जीवन एवं पशु प्राणहीन हो जाएं. (१६)
EN English Translation
O Cupid! Destroy my enemies through your welfare force which is going to defeat the three worlds and the wide armor of Brahman. Their lives and animals become lifeless. (16)
येन॑ दे॒वा असु॑रा॒न्प्राणु॑दन्त॒ येनेन्द्रो॒ दस्यू॑नध॒मं तमो॑ नि॒नाय॑ । तेन॒ त्वं का॑म॒ मम॒ ये स॒पत्ना॒स्तान॒स्माल्लो॒कात्प्र णु॑दस्व दू॒रम् ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कामदेव! जिस शक्ति के द्वारा इंद्र ने दैत्यों को मृत्यु रूपी भयानक अंधकार में धकेल दिया था और देवों ने जिस शक्ति के द्वारा असुरों को भगा दिया था, तुम उसी शक्ति के द्वारा मेरे शत्रुओं को इस लोक से दूर भगा दो. (१७)
EN English Translation
O Cupid! The power by which Indra pushed the demons into the terrible darkness of death and the power by which the devas drove away the asuras, you should drive my enemies away from this world through the same power. (17)
यथा॑ दे॒वा असु॑रा॒न्प्राणु॑दन्त॒ यथेन्द्रो॒ दस्यू॑नध॒मं तमो॑ बबा॒धे । तथा॒ त्वं का॑म॒ मम॒ ये स॒पत्ना॒स्तान॒स्माल्लो॒कात्प्र णु॑दस्व दू॒रम् ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कामदेव! देवों ने जिस प्रकार असुरों को भगाया था तथा इंद्र ने दैत्यों को घोर अंधकार में धकेल कर संताप दिया था, उसी प्रकार तुम मेरे शत्रुओं को इस लोक से दूर भगा दो. (१८)
EN English Translation
O Cupid! Just as the devas had driven away the asuras and Indra had angered the demons by pushing them into utter darkness, in the same way, you drive my enemies away from this world. (18)
कामो॑ जज्ञे प्रथ॒मो नैनं॑ दे॒वा आ॑पुः पि॒तरो॒ न मर्त्याः॑ । तत॒स्त्वम॑सि॒ ज्याया॑न्वि॒श्वहा॑ म॒हांस्तस्मै॑ ते काम॒ नम॒ इत्कृ॑णोमि ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
कामदेव सर्वप्रथम उत्पन्न हुआ. देव, पितर और मनुष्य कोई भी उस की समानता नहीं कर सकता. इस कारण तुम सभी से ज्येष्ठ और समस्त विश्व में महान हो. मैं तुम्हारे लिए नमस्कार करता हूं. (१९)
EN English Translation
Cupid was born first. God, father and man cannot equate him. For this reason, you are superior to all and great in the whole world. I salute you. (19)
याव॑ती॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी व॑रि॒म्णा याव॒दापः॑ सिष्य॒दुर्याव॑द॒ग्निः । तत॒स्त्वम॑सि॒ ज्याया॑न्वि॒श्वहा॑ म॒हांस्तस्मै॑ ते काम॒ नम॒ इत्कृ॑णोमि ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कामदेव! द्यावा, पृथ्वी का जितना विस्तार है, जल और अग्नि जितने विस्तृत हैं, तुम उन से कहीं अधिक विस्तृत हो, इसीलिए तुम सभी से ज्येष्ठ हो और समस्त विश्व में व्याप्त हो. मैं तुम्हारे लिए नमस्कार करता हूं. (२०)
EN English Translation
O Cupid! Dyava, the greater the expanse of the earth, the wider the water and agni, the wider you are than them, that is why you are superior to all and pervad the whole world. I salute you. (20)
याव॑ती॒र्दिशः॑ प्र॒दिशो॒ विषू॑ची॒र्याव॑ती॒राशा॑ अभि॒चक्ष॑णा दि॒वः । तत॒स्त्वम॑सि॒ ज्याया॑न्वि॒श्वहा॑ म॒हांस्तस्मै॑ ते काम॒ नम॒ इत्कृ॑णोमि ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कामदेव! दिशाएं और प्रदिशाएं जितनी विस्तृत हैं और स्वर्ग की जितनी दिशाएं बताई गई हैं, तुम उन सभी से ज्येष्ठ हो और समस्त विश्व में व्याप्त हो. मैं तुम को नमस्कार करता हूं. (२१)
EN English Translation
O Cupid! As wide as the directions and directions are and the directions of heaven are told, you are superior to all of them and pervad the whole world. I salute you. (21)
याव॑ती॒र्भृङ्गा॑ ज॒त्वः कु॒रूर॑वो॒ याव॑ती॒र्वघा॑ वृक्षस॒र्प्यो बभू॒वुः । तत॒स्त्वम॑सि॒ ज्याया॑न्वि॒श्वहा॑ म॒हांस्तस्मै॑ ते काम॒ नम॒ इत्कृ॑णोमि ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कामदेव! भृंग, जतु, कर, वृक्ष एवं सर्प जितने विशाल हैं, तुम उन सभी से महान हो. तुम सभी में व्यस्त हो. मैं तुम को नमस्कार करता हूं. (२२)
EN English Translation
O Cupid! You are greater than all the beetles, jatus, karas, trees and snakes are. You're all busy. I salute you. (22)
ज्याया॑न्निमि॒षतोसि॒ तिष्ठ॑तो॒ ज्याया॑न्त्समु॒द्राद॑सि काम मन्यो । तत॒स्त्वम॑सि॒ ज्याया॑न्वि॒श्वहा॑ म॒हांस्तस्मै॑ ते काम॒ नम॒ इत्कृ॑णोमि ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कामदेव! हे मन्यु! पलक झपकाने वाले एवं स्थित रहने वाले प्राणियों तथा समुद्र से भी तुम महान हो. तुम सारे विश्व में व्याप्त हो. मैं तुम को नमस्कार करता हूं. (२३)
EN English Translation
O Cupid! O Manu! You are greater than the blinking and situated creatures and the sea. You are all over the world. I salute you. (23)
न वै वात॑श्च॒न काम॑माप्नोति॒ नाग्निः सूर्यो॒ नोत च॒न्द्रमाः॑ । तत॒स्त्वम॑सि॒ ज्याया॑न्वि॒श्वहा॑ म॒हांस्तस्मै॑ ते काम॒ नम॒ इत्कृ॑णोमि ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि, सूर्य, चंद्रमा और वायु कामदेव की समानता नहीं कर पाते. इस कारण हे कामदेव! तुम सब से ज्येष्ठ एवं समस्त विश्व में व्याप्त हो. मैं तुम को नमस्कार करता हूं. (२४)
EN English Translation
Agni, sun, moon and air cannot match Cupid. That's why, O Cupid! You are the eldest of all and pervading the whole world. I salute you. (24)
यास्ते॑ शि॒वास्त॒न्वः काम भ॒द्रा याभिः॑ स॒त्यं भव॑ति॒ यद्वृ॑णी॒षे । ताभि॒ष्ट्वम॒स्माँ अ॑भि॒संवि॑शस्वा॒न्यत्र॑ पा॒पीरप॑ वेशया॒ धियः॑ ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कामदेव! तुम्हारे जो कल्याणकारी एवं भद्र शरीर हैं, उन के द्वारा तुम जिन का वरण करते हो, वही सत्य है. उन्हीं के द्वारा तुम हमारे शरीरों में प्रवेश करो. तुम अपनी पापबुद्धियों को हम से दूर रखो तथा उन्हें शत्रुओं में प्रविष्ट करो. (२५)
EN English Translation
O Cupid! What you choose through your welfare and gentle bodies is the truth. Through them you enter our bodies. Keep your sinners away from us and enter them into enemies. (25)
