अग्रे॑ बृ॒हन्नु॒षसा॑मू॒र्ध्वो अ॑स्थान्निर्जग॒न्वान्तम॑सो॒ ज्योति॒षागा॑त् । अ॒ग्निर्भा॒नुना॒ रुश॑ता॒ स्वङ्ग॒ आ जा॒तो विश्वा॒ सद्मा॑न्यप्राः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
महान् अग्नि प्रातःकाल में प्रज्वलित होकर ज्वाला के रूप में रहते हैं एवं अंधकार से निकलकर अपने तेज के द्वारा यज्ञस्थल में जाते हैं. शोभन ज्वालाओं वाले एवं यज्ञ के लिए उत्पन्न अग्नि अपने अंधकारनाशक तेज के द्वारा सभी यज्ञगृहों को पूर्ण करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
The great agni ignites in the morning and lives as a flame and comes out of the darkness and goes to the yagnasthala through its brightness. The agnis that have adorned the flames and the agni generated for the yajna complete all the yagnagrahas by its darkening radiant brightness. (1)
स जा॒तो गर्भो॑ असि॒ रोद॑स्यो॒रग्ने॒ चारु॒र्विभृ॑त॒ ओष॑धीषु । चि॒त्रः शिशुः॒ परि॒ तमां॑स्य॒क्तून्प्र मा॒तृभ्यो॒ अधि॒ कनि॑क्रदद्गाः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे उत्पन्न, कल्याणकारक व अरणियों के मध्य विशेषरूप से मथित अग्नि! तुम द्यावा- पृथिवी के गर्भ हो. हे विचित्र रंग वाले एवं वृक्षों के बालक अग्नि! तुम अपने तेज से अंधकार रूप शत्रु को हराते हो. तुम माता के समान वनस्पतियों में शब्द करते हुए जन्म लेते हो. (२)
EN English Translation
O creation, especially the agni between the benefactors and the arinites! You are the womb of the earth. O children of strange colors and trees, agni! You defeat the enemy in your fast dark form. You are born with words in the same flora as mother. (2)
विष्णु॑रि॒त्था प॑र॒मम॑स्य वि॒द्वाञ्जा॒तो बृ॒हन्न॒भि पा॑ति तृ॒तीय॑म् । आ॒सा यद॑स्य॒ पयो॒ अक्र॑त॒ स्वं सचे॑तसो अ॒भ्य॑र्च॒न्त्यत्र॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जानते हुए, उत्पन्न, महान् एवं व्यापक अग्नि मुझ त्रित ऋषि की रक्षा करें. अपने मुख द्वारा अग्नि से जल की याचना करने वाले यजमान तन्मय होकर अग्नि की पूजा करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Knowing, the great and wide agni generated, protect me the sage Trinit. The hosts who ask for water from agni through their mouths worship the agni with tanmaya. (3)
अत॑ उ त्वा पितु॒भृतो॒ जनि॑त्रीरन्ना॒वृधं॒ प्रति॑ चर॒न्त्यन्नैः॑ । ता ईं॒ प्रत्ये॑षि॒ पुन॑र॒न्यरू॑पा॒ असि॒ त्वं वि॒क्षु मानु॑षीषु॒ होता॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अन्नवर्धक अग्नि! सारे संसार को धारण करने वाली और उत्पन्न करने वाली ओषधियां अन्न के कारण तुम्हारी सेवा करती हैं. तुम सूखे वृक्षों के पास दावाग्नि के रथ में जाते हो. तुम मानव प्रजाओं के होता हो. (४)
EN English Translation
O grain giver agni! we praise you, the sustainer and creator of the Medicines of the whole world. You go in a chariot of Davagni near dry trees. You belong to human beings. (4)
होता॑रं चि॒त्रर॑थमध्व॒रस्य॑ य॒ज्ञस्य॑यज्ञस्य के॒तुं रुश॑न्तम् । प्रत्य॑र्धिं दे॒वस्य॑देवस्य म॒ह्ना श्रि॒या त्व१॒॑ग्निमति॑थिं॒ जना॑नाम् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम संपत्ति पाने के लिए देवों को बुलाने वाले, विविध रूप रथ वाले, ध्वज के समान यज्ञ के ज्ञापक, श्वेत वर्ण वाले, अपनी महत्ता से इंद्र के पास जाने वाले एवं यजमानों के पूज्य अग्नि की शीघ्र स्तुति करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
We call the gods for the sake of wealth, the various chariots, the bearers of the yagna like the flag, the white-colored ones, those who go to Indra, Agni revered by the yajmans. (5)
स तु वस्त्रा॒ण्यध॒ पेश॑नानि॒ वसा॑नो अ॒ग्निर्नाभा॑ पृथि॒व्याः । अ॒रु॒षो जा॒तः प॒द इळा॑याः पु॒रोहि॑तो राजन्यक्षी॒ह दे॒वान् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दीप्तिशाली अग्नि! तुम अपने सोने के समान तेजों को धारण करते हुए धरती की नाभि के समान उत्तर वेदी पर उत्पन्न हो. तुम शोभा धारण करके एवं पूर्व दिशा में स्थित होकर देवों की पूजा करो. (६)
EN English Translation
O glorious agni! You are born on the north altar like the navel of the earth, holding your gold-like radiances. Worship the gods by adorning you and being located in the east direction. (6)
आ हि द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी अ॑ग्न उ॒भे सदा॑ पु॒त्रो न मा॒तरा॑ त॒तन्थ॑ । प्र या॒ह्यच्छो॑श॒तो य॑वि॒ष्ठाथा व॑ह सहस्ये॒ह दे॒वान् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! जिस प्रकार पुत्र माता-पिता को धनों से बढ़ाता है, उसी प्रकार तुम सदा द्यावा-पृथिवी दोनों का विस्तार करते हो. हे अतिशय युवा अग्नि! तुम अपने अभिलाषी लोगों को लक्ष्य करके जाओ. हे शक्तिपुत्र अग्नि! इस यज्ञ में देवों को लाओ. (७)
EN English Translation
O agni! Just as the Son increases his parents with wealth, so you always expand both Diva-Prithvivi. O very young agni! You go by targeting your desireful people. O son of power, agni! Bring the gods to this yagna. (7)
