श्रत्ते॑ दधामि प्रथ॒माय॑ म॒न्यवेऽह॒न्यद्वृ॒त्रं नर्यं॑ वि॒वेर॒पः । उ॒भे यत्त्वा॒ भव॑तो॒ रोद॑सी॒ अनु॒ रेज॑ते॒ शुष्मा॑त्पृथि॒वी चि॑दद्रिवः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारे क्रोध पर मैं सर्वाधिक श्रद्धा करता हूं. तुमने वृत्र का वध किया एवं लोक हितकारी जल का निर्माण किया. हे वज्रधारी इंद्र! द्यावा-पृथिवी तुम्हारे अधीन हैं एवं अंतरिक्ष तुम्हारे भय से कांपता है. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! I have the greatest respect for your anger. You killed Vrithra and created publicly beneficial water. O thunderbolt Indra! The earth is under your control and space trembles with your fear. (1)
त्वं मा॒याभि॑रनवद्य मा॒यिनं॑ श्रवस्य॒ता मन॑सा वृ॒त्रम॑र्दयः । त्वामिन्नरो॑ वृणते॒ गवि॑ष्टिषु॒ त्वां विश्वा॑सु॒ हव्या॒स्विष्टि॑षु ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे प्रशंसनीय इंद्र! तुमने अन्न बनाने की अभिलाषा से मायावी वृत्र को अपनी शक्तियों द्वारा नष्ट किया. पणियों द्वारा चुराई गई गाएं पाने के लिए लोग तुम्हारी सेवा करते हैं. सभी यज्ञों एवं हवनों में तुम्हारी प्रशंसा की जाती है. (२)
EN English Translation
O praiseworthy Indra! You have destroyed the elusive vritra by your powers with the desire to make food. People serve you to get the cows stolen by the panies. You are praised in all yagnas and havans. (2)
ऐषु॑ चाकन्धि पुरुहूत सू॒रिषु॑ वृ॒धासो॒ ये म॑घवन्नान॒शुर्म॒घम् । अर्च॑न्ति तो॒के तन॑ये॒ परि॑ष्टिषु मे॒धसा॑ता वा॒जिन॒मह्र॑ये॒ धने॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए गए एवं धनी इंद्र! तुम इन विद्वानों के समीप प्रकट होओ. ये तुम्हारी कृपा से धनी एवं उन्नत बने हैं. ये लोग पुत्र, पौत्र एवं अन्य फल पाने के लिए एवं धन के निमित्त यज्ञों में शक्तिशाली इंद्र की पूजा करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra, who has been called by many and rich! You appear close to these scholars. They have become rich and advanced by your grace. These people worship the mighty Indra in yagnas to get sons, grandsons and other fruits and for the sake of wealth. (3)
स इन्नु रा॒यः सुभृ॑तस्य चाकन॒न्मदं॒ यो अ॑स्य॒ रंह्यं॒ चिके॑तति । त्वावृ॑धो मघवन्दा॒श्व॑ध्वरो म॒क्षू स वाजं॑ भरते॒ धना॒ नृभिः॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो स्तोता अपनी स्तुतियों से इंद्र को सोमपान का आनंद देना जानता है, वही यथेष्ट धन पाने के लिए शीघ्र प्रार्थना कर सकता है. हे धनी इंद्र! तुम्हारे द्वारा बढ़ाया हुआ एवं यज्ञ में दान देने वाला यजमान शीघ्र ही अपने सेवकों द्वारा धन और अन्न से पूर्ण हो जाता है. (४)
EN English Translation
The stota who knows how to give Indra the joy of somapan through his praises, can pray quickly to get sufficient wealth. O rich Indra! The host who is extended by you and donated to the yagna is soon fulfilled by his servants with money and food. (4)
त्वं शर्धा॑य महि॒ना गृ॑णा॒न उ॒रु कृ॑धि मघवञ्छ॒ग्धि रा॒यः । त्वं नो॑ मि॒त्रो वरु॑णो॒ न मा॒यी पि॒त्वो न द॑स्म दयसे विभ॒क्ता ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे विशाल स्तोता द्वारा प्रशंसित एवं धनी इंद्र! तुम हमारे बलों का विस्तार करो एवं हमें धन दो. दर्शनीय इंद्र! तुम मित्र और वरुण के समान ज्ञानी हो. तुम हमारे लिए अन्न दो. (५)
EN English Translation
This is indra admired and wealthy by the huge hymn! You expand our forces and give us money. A sightseeing Indra! You are as knowledgeable as a friend and Varun. You give us food. (5)
