त्वष्टा॑ दुहि॒त्रे व॑ह॒तुं कृ॑णो॒तीती॒दं विश्वं॒ भुव॑नं॒ समे॑ति । य॒मस्य॑ मा॒ता प॑र्यु॒ह्यमा॑ना म॒हो जा॒या विव॑स्वतो ननाश ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
त्वष्टा अपनी कन्या सरण्यू का विवाह करने वाले हैं. विवाह की तैयारी में सारा संसार सम्मिलित है. यम और यमी की माता का जब सूर्य से विवाह हुआ, तब सूर्य की पत्नी उत्तर कुरु देश से चली गई. (१)
EN English Translation
Tvashta is about to marry his daughter Saranu. The whole world is involved in the preparation of marriage. When Yama and Yami's mother got married to Surya, Surya's wife left the north Kuru country. (1)
अपा॑गूहन्न॒मृतां॒ मर्त्ये॑भ्यः कृ॒त्वी सव॑र्णामददु॒र्विव॑स्वते । उ॒ताश्विना॑वभर॒द्यत्तदासी॒दज॑हादु॒ द्वा मि॑थु॒ना स॑र॒ण्यूः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मरणरहित सरण्यू को मनुष्यों के बीच छिपाया गया और सरण्यू के समान दूसरी स्त्री बनाकर सूर्य को दी गई. सरण्यू उस समय घोड़ी के रूप में छिपाई गई थी. उसने अश्वरिनीकुमारों को गर्भ के रूप में धारण किया और दो बालकों को जुड़वां रूप में जन्म दिया. (२)
EN English Translation
The deathless saranu was hidden among humans and given to the sun by making another woman like saranu. Sarnew was hidden as a mare at that time. She conceived ashwarinikumaras and gave birth to two children as twins. (2)
पू॒षा त्वे॒तश्च्या॑वयतु॒ प्र वि॒द्वानन॑ष्टपशु॒र्भुव॑नस्य गो॒पाः । स त्वै॒तेभ्यः॒ परि॑ ददत्पि॒तृभ्यो॒ऽग्निर्दे॒वेभ्यः॑ सुविद॒त्रिये॑भ्यः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारी भक्ति को जानने वाले, अमर पशुओं से युक्त एवं सारे संसार के रक्षक पूषा तुम्हें इस लोक में छुड़ावें. अग्ने तुम्हें धन देने वाले देवों को दें. (३)
EN English Translation
May The Worship, who knows our devotion, possesses immortal animals and is the protector of the whole world, deliver you in this world. Give it to the gods who give you money. (3)
आयु॑र्वि॒श्वायुः॒ परि॑ पासति त्वा पू॒षा त्वा॑ पातु॒ प्रप॑थे पु॒रस्ता॑त् । यत्रास॑ते सु॒कृतो॒ यत्र॒ ते य॒युस्तत्र॑ त्वा दे॒वः स॑वि॒ता द॑धातु ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सारे संसार के जीवन पूषा तुम्हारी आयु की रक्षा करें. वे तुम्हारे गंतव्य स्वर्ग में पहले से वर्तमान हैं. पुण्य वाले लोग जहां रहते हैं, वहां वे गए हैं, पूषा तुम्हें वहीं ले जावें. (४)
EN English Translation
May the life of the whole world protect your age. They are already present in your destination heaven. Where virtuous people live, they have gone, Pusha take you there. (4)
पू॒षेमा आशा॒ अनु॑ वेद॒ सर्वाः॒ सो अ॒स्माँ अभ॑यतमेन नेषत् । स्व॒स्ति॒दा आघृ॑णिः॒ सर्व॑वी॒रोऽप्र॑युच्छन्पु॒र ए॑तु प्रजा॒नन् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पूषा इन सारी दिशाओं को जानते हैं. वे हमें भयरहित दिशाओं से ले चलें. कल्याण करने वाले, दीप्तियुक्त, सब वीरों से युक्त एवं हमें जानने वाले पूषा प्रमादरहित होकर हमारे सामने आवें. (५)
EN English Translation
Pusha knows all these directions. Let them lead us in fearless directions. May the worship of those who do good, those who are glorious, full of all heroes and who know us come before us without pride. (5)
प्रप॑थे प॒थाम॑जनिष्ट पू॒षा प्रप॑थे दि॒वः प्रप॑थे पृथि॒व्याः । उ॒भे अ॒भि प्रि॒यत॑मे स॒धस्थे॒ आ च॒ परा॑ च चरति प्रजा॒नन् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सबसे उत्तम मार्ग में पूषा ने जन्म लिया है. वे धरती और स्वर्ग के उत्तम मार्ग में उत्पन्न हुए हैं. पूषा की दोनों प्रियतमाएं अर्थात् द्यावा-पृथिवी साथ-साथ रहती हैं. पूषा उन्हें विशेष रूप से जानते हुए घूमते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
In the best way, Pusha is born. They are born in the best way of earth and heaven. Both of The Love's beloved ones, i.e., Dyava-Prithvivi live together. Pusha roams around knowing them especially. (6)
सर॑स्वतीं देव॒यन्तो॑ हवन्ते॒ सर॑स्वतीमध्व॒रे ता॒यमा॑ने । सर॑स्वतीं सु॒कृतो॑ अह्वयन्त॒ सर॑स्वती दा॒शुषे॒ वार्यं॑ दात् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों की इच्छा से यज्ञ करने वाले सरस्वती को बुलाते हैं. यज्ञ के विस्तार के समय पुण्यकर्म करने वालों ने सरस्वती को बुलाया. सरस्वती यजमान को धन दें. (७)
EN English Translation
Those who perform yajna by the will of the gods call Saraswati. At the time of the extension of the yajna, the virtuous workers called Saraswati. Give money to saraswati host. (7)
सर॑स्वति॒ या स॒रथं॑ य॒याथ॑ स्व॒धाभि॑र्देवि पि॒तृभि॒र्मद॑न्ती । आ॒सद्या॒स्मिन्ब॒र्हिषि॑ मादयस्वानमी॒वा इष॒ आ धे॑ह्य॒स्मे ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सरस्वती! तुम पितरों के साथ स्वधा के उच्चारणपूर्वक दिए गए हव्य से प्रसन्न होती हुई उसके साथ एक रथ पर बैठकर आओ. इस यज्ञ के फैले हुए कुशों पर बैठकर आनंद करो एवं हमें निरोग बनाओ तथा अन्न दो. (८)
EN English Translation
O Saraswati! You come to sit on a chariot with the fathers, pleased with the uttered havan of the Swadha. Sit on the stretched kushas of this yajna and enjoy and make us healthy and give us food. (8)
सर॑स्वतीं॒ यां पि॒तरो॒ हव॑न्ते दक्षि॒णा य॒ज्ञम॑भि॒नक्ष॑माणाः । स॒ह॒स्रा॒र्घमि॒ळो अत्र॑ भा॒गं रा॒यस्पोषं॒ यज॑मानेषु धेहि ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सरस्वती! पितर लोग दक्षिण की ओर आकर एवं यज्ञ में इधर-उधर चलते हुए तुम्हें बुलाते हैं. तुम इस यज्ञ में यजमान के लिए अनेक जनों द्वारा पूजनीय अन्न एवं धन का भाग दो. (९)
EN English Translation
O Saraswati! The fathers call you by coming to the south and walking around in the yagna. You give a share of food and wealth worshipped by many people for the host in this yajna. (9)
आपो॑ अ॒स्मान्मा॒तरः॑ शुन्धयन्तु घृ॒तेन॑ नो घृत॒प्वः॑ पुनन्तु । विश्वं॒ हि रि॒प्रं प्र॒वह॑न्ति दे॒वीरुदिदा॑भ्यः॒ शुचि॒रा पू॒त ए॑मि ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मातारूप जल हमें शुद्ध करे, घृत के समान बहने वाला जल हमें शुद्ध करे एवं दिव्य जल हमारे समस्त पापों को बहाकर ले जावे. हम शुद्ध और पवित्र होकर जल से बाहर आते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
May the water of mother form cleanse us, let the water flowing like a curse purify us and let the divine water shed all our sins. We come out of the water pure and holy. (10)
द्र॒प्सश्च॑स्कन्द प्रथ॒माँ अनु॒ द्यूनि॒मं च॒ योनि॒मनु॒ यश्च॒ पूर्वः॑ । स॒मा॒नं योनि॒मनु॑ सं॒चर॑न्तं द्र॒प्सं जु॑हो॒म्यनु॑ स॒प्त होत्राः॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
निचुड़ता हुआ सोमरस पार्थिव एवं द्युलोक को लक्ष्य करके बहता है. हम सात होता इस स्थान पर और इसके आधार पूर्व स्थान पर विचरण करने वाले सोम का हवन करते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
The squeezing Somerus flows aiming at the earthly and the deulok. We perform havan of Som, who roams at this place and at its base east. (11)
यस्ते॑ द्र॒प्सः स्कन्द॑ति॒ यस्ते॑ अं॒शुर्बा॒हुच्यु॑तो धि॒षणा॑या उ॒पस्था॑त् । अ॒ध्व॒र्योर्वा॒ परि॑ वा॒ यः प॒वित्रा॒त्तं ते॑ जुहोमि॒ मन॑सा॒ वष॑ट्कृतम् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम्हारा जो रस टपकता है, तुम्हारा जो लता भाग पुरोहित के हाथ से रस निचोड़ने वाले पत्थरों के ऊपर स्थित है तथा जो भाग दशापवित्र के ऊपर रखा हुआ है, हम मन से उन सबको नमस्कार करते हुए हवन करते हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! The juice that drips from you, the part of yours, which is located on top of the stones that squeeze the juice from the priest's hand, and the part that is placed on top of the dashapavittra, we do havan salutations to all of them with all our heart. (12)
यस्ते॑ द्र॒प्सः स्क॒न्नो यस्ते॑ अं॒शुर॒वश्च॒ यः प॒रः स्रु॒चा । अ॒यं दे॒वो बृह॒स्पतिः॒ सं तं सि॑ञ्चतु॒ राध॑से ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम्हारा जो रस बाहर आ गया है अथवा तुम्हारा जो लता भाग खुच के नीचे गिर गया है, हमें धन देने के लिए बृहस्पति देव उन दोनों को जल से मिलावें. (१३)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! May the juice that has come out of you or the part of yours that has fallen under the latch, may Jupiter meet them both with water to give us wealth. (13)
पय॑स्वती॒रोष॑धयः॒ पय॑स्वन्माम॒कं वचः॑ । अ॒पां पय॑स्व॒दित्पय॒स्तेन॑ मा स॒ह शु॑न्धत ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे जल! वनस्पतियां दूध के समान रस से भरी हुई हैं. हमारा स्तुतिवचन भी दूध के समान रस से भरा है. तुम्हारा जो सार अंश दूध के समान है, उससे तुम हमें शुद्ध करो. (१४)
EN English Translation
O water! The flora is filled with juice similar to milk. Our eulogy is also filled with juices similar to milk. You cleanse us with your essence which is similar to milk. (14)
