प्रथ॑श्च॒ यस्य॑ स॒प्रथ॑श्च॒ नामानु॑ष्टुभस्य ह॒विषो॑ ह॒विर्यत् । धा॒तुर्द्युता॑नात्सवि॒तुश्च॒ विष्णो॑ रथंत॒रमा ज॑भारा॒ वसि॑ष्ठः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वसिष्ठ के पुत्र पृथु हैं और भरद्वाज के सुप्रथ हैं. इन में से वसिष्ठ धाता, दीप्तिशाली सविता और विष्णु के समीप से अनुष्टुप् छंद वाला एवं हवि को शुद्ध करने वाला साममंत्र लाए थे. (१)
EN English Translation
Vasishtha's son is Prithu and is the son of Bharadwaja. Out of these, Vasishta Dhata, The Bright savita and Vishnu had brought from close proximity to the anushtupchanda and sammantra purifying the havi. (1)
अवि॑न्द॒न्ते अति॑हितं॒ यदासी॑द्य॒ज्ञस्य॒ धाम॑ पर॒मं गुहा॒ यत् । धा॒तुर्द्युता॑नात्सवि॒तुश्च॒ विष्णो॑र्भ॒रद्वा॑जो बृ॒हदा च॑क्रे अ॒ग्नेः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
धाता आदि ने छिपा हुआ, हव्य का संस्कार करने वाला व गुफा में सुरक्षित साममंत्र पाया. भरद्वाज ऋषि धाता, दीप्तिशाली सविता, विष्णु और अग्नि के पास से उस बृहत् साममंत्र को लाए. (२)
EN English Translation
Dhata Adi found the hidden, the one who performed the rites of the havya and the safe sammantra in the cave. Bharadwaja sages brought the great sammantra from Dhata, The Bright savita, Vishnu and Agni. (2)
ते॑ऽविन्द॒न्मन॑सा॒ दीध्या॑ना॒ यजुः॑ ष्क॒न्नं प्र॑थ॒मं दे॑व॒यान॑म् । धा॒तुर्द्युता॑नात्सवि॒तुश्च॒ विष्णो॒रा सूर्या॑दभरन्घ॒र्ममे॒ते ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
धाता आदि ने ध्यान करते हुए मन में यज्ञसाधक, अभिषेकक्रिया संपन्न करने वाले, मुख्य एवं देवों को प्राप्त करने के साधन उस धर्ममंत्र को पाया. पुरोहितों ने धाता, तेजस्वी सविता, विष्णु और सूर्य से इस मंत्र को प्राप्त किया. (३)
EN English Translation
Dhata etc. meditated and found in the mind the yajnasadhak, the one who performed the abhishek kriya, the main and the means of attaining the devas. The priests received this mantra from Dhata, Tejasvi Savita, Vishnu and Surya. (3)
