प्र सु ग्मन्ता॑ धियसा॒नस्य॑ स॒क्षणि॑ व॒रेभि॑र्व॒राँ अ॒भि षु प्र॒सीद॑तः । अ॒स्माक॒मिन्द्र॑ उ॒भयं॑ जुजोषति॒ यत्सो॒म्यस्यान्ध॑सो॒ बुबो॑धति ॥ (१)

इंद्र अपने घोड़े इंद्रागमन की चिंता करने वाले मुझ यजमान के यज्ञ में आने के लिए हांकते हैं. उत्तम मार्गो से हवि देने वाले यजमान के हव्य और स्तुतियों को लक्ष्य करके इंद्र आवें. इंद्र आकर हमारा हव्य भक्षण करें एवं स्तुतियां सुनें. इंद्र मेरे सोमरस और हव्य का स्वाद लेते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Indra, who is worried about his horse Indragaman, is tempted to come to the yagna of my host. Indra should come by aiming at the greetings and praises of the host who gives the greetings of the best of the ways. Indra should come and eat our heart and listen to the praises. Indra tastes my somras and havya. (1)
वी॑न्द्र यासि दि॒व्यानि॑ रोच॒ना वि पार्थि॑वानि॒ रज॑सा पुरुष्टुत । ये त्वा॒ वह॑न्ति॒ मुहु॑रध्व॒राँ उप॒ ते सु व॑न्वन्तु वग्व॒नाँ अ॑रा॒धसः॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बहुतों द्वारा प्रशंसित इंद्र! तुम दिव्य प्रकाश को धरती पर फैलाते हुए जाते हो. तुम्हारे घोड़े तुम्हें बार-बार ढोकर हमारे यज्ञ की ओर लावें. वे घोड़े हम धनहीन स्तोताओं को धनसंपन्न करें. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra admired by many! You go on spreading the divine light on the earth. May your horses carry you again and again to our yajna. Those horses we give wealth to the wealthless stoes. (2)
तदिन्मे॑ छन्त्स॒द्वपु॑षो॒ वपु॑ष्टरं पु॒त्रो यज्जानं॑ पि॒त्रोर॒धीय॑ति । जा॒या पतिं॑ वहति व॒ग्नुना॑ सु॒मत्पुं॒स इद्भ॒द्रो व॑ह॒तुः परि॑ष्कृतः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र मुझे वही चमत्कारपूर्ण एवं धन के समान जन्म देने की कृपा करें, जिसे पाकर पुत्र पिता का धन प्राप्त करता है. यजमान की पत्नी यजमान को भले शब्दों द्वारा अपने पास बुलाती है. सोमरस उस उत्तम पुरुष के पास भली प्रकार जावे. (३)
EN English Translation
May Indra please give me the same miraculous and wealthy birth, which the Son receives the wealth of the Father. The host's wife calls the host to her by good words. Somras go well to that perfect man. (3)
तदित्स॒धस्थ॑म॒भि चारु॑ दीधय॒ गावो॒ यच्छास॑न्वह॒तुं न धे॒नवः॑ । मा॒ता यन्मन्तु॑र्यू॒थस्य॑ पू॒र्व्याभि वा॒णस्य॑ स॒प्तधा॑तु॒रिज्जनः॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! उस स्थान को अपने तेज से प्रकाशित करो, जहां स्तुतिरूप धारिणी गाएं मिलती हैं. स्तुतियों की प्राचीन एवं पूजा योग्य माता गायत्री के सातों छंद उसी स्थान पर हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Illuminate the place with your brightness, where the praise-dharini songs meet. The seven verses of the ancient and worshipable Mother Gayatri of the hymns are at the same place. (4)
प्र वोऽच्छा॑ रिरिचे देव॒युष्प॒दमेको॑ रु॒द्रेभि॑र्याति तु॒र्वणिः॑ । ज॒रा वा॒ येष्व॒मृते॑षु दा॒वने॒ परि॑ व॒ ऊमे॑भ्यः सिञ्चता॒ मधु॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! देवों की अभिलाषा करते हुए अग्नि तुम्हारे स्थान पर जाते हैं. अकेले इंद्र रुद्रों के साथ होताओं के पास से तुम्हारे यज्ञ में शीघ्र आते हैं. स्तुति भी इन मरणरहित देवों से धन दिलाने में समर्थ होती है. तुम अपने रक्षक देवों के लिए सोमरस पिलाओ. (५)
EN English Translation
O hosts! The agni goes to your place while wishing for the gods. Indra alone would have come with the Rudras to come quickly to your yajna. Praise is also able to fetch wealth from these godless gods. You drink somras for your protector gods. (5)
नि॒धी॒यमा॑न॒मप॑गूळ्हम॒प्सु प्र मे॑ दे॒वानां॑ व्रत॒पा उ॑वाच । इन्द्रो॑ वि॒द्वाँ अनु॒ हि त्वा॑ च॒चक्ष॒ तेना॒हम॑ग्ने॒ अनु॑शिष्ट॒ आगा॑म् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों में उत्तम एवं यज्ञों की रक्षा करने वाले इंद्र ने अध्वर्यु द्वारा जल में निहित अग्नि के विषय में बताया है. हे अग्नि! विद्वान् इंद्र ने तुम्हें बाद में देखा था, मैं उसी इंद्र के उपदेश के अनुसार तुम्हारे पास आया हूं. (६)
EN English Translation
Indra, who is the best among the gods and protects the yagnas, has told about the agni contained in the water by Adhwaryu. O agni! The scholar Indra saw you later, I have come to you according to the teachings of the same Indra. (6)
अक्षे॑त्रवित्क्षेत्र॒विदं॒ ह्यप्रा॒ट् स प्रैति॑ क्षेत्र॒विदानु॑शिष्टः । ए॒तद्वै भ॒द्रम॑नु॒शास॑नस्यो॒त स्रु॒तिं वि॑न्दत्यञ्ज॒सीना॑म् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मार्ग न जानने वाले लोग जानने वालों से पूछते हैं. मार्ग जानने वाले के निर्देश के अनुसार वह इच्छित स्थान पर पहुंच जाता है. इसी अनुशासन के द्वारा खोजने पर जल का मार्ग प्राप्त हो सकता है. (७)
EN English Translation
People who don't know the way ask those who know. According to the instructions of the route seeker, he reaches the desired place. On searching by the same discipline, the path of water can be obtained. (7)
अ॒द्येदु॒ प्राणी॒दम॑मन्नि॒माहापी॑वृतो अधयन्मा॒तुरूधः॑ । एमे॑नमाप जरि॒मा युवा॑न॒महे॑ळ॒न्वसुः॑ सु॒मना॑ बभूव ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये अग्नि आज ही अरणिमंथन से उत्पन्न हुए हैं. सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले इन्हें अन्यत्र ले जाना चाहते हैं. तेज से ढके हुए अग्नि, धरतीमाता के दूध के समान सोमरस पीते हैं. नित्य युवा अग्नि को हव्यों से मिली हुई स्तुति प्राप्त होती है. इस हेतु अग्नि क्रोधरहित, धन देने वाले एवं शोभन मनयुक्त हुए हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
These agnis originated from Aranimanthan today itself. The somras squeezers want to take them elsewhere. The sharply covered agni drinks somras like the milk of the earth. The eternal young agni receives the praise from the havyas. For this, the agni has become angerless, money-giver and a heroic. (8)
ए॒तानि॑ भ॒द्रा क॑लश क्रियाम॒ कुरु॑श्रवण॒ दद॑तो म॒घानि॑ । दा॒न इद्वो॑ मघवानः॒ सो अ॑स्त्व॒यं च॒ सोमो॑ हृ॒दि यं बिभ॑र्मि ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कलावान् एवं स्तोताओं की स्तुतियां सुनने वाले इंद्र! तुम स्तोताओं को धन देते हो. हे स्तोत्ररूपी धन वाले स्तोताओ! यह इंद्र तुम्हारे प्रति दाता ही रहें. जिस सोम को मैं पेट में रखता हूं, वे भी तुम्हारे लिए दाता रहें. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra who hears the praises of the kalavans and hymns! You give money to the psalms. These hymns are the hymns with wealth! May this Indra be the giver to you. The mon I keep in the stomach, let them also be a giver for you. (9)
