अ॒स्मिन्न॑ इन्द्र पृत्सु॒तौ यश॑स्वति॒ शिमी॑वति॒ क्रन्द॑सि॒ प्राव॑ सा॒तये॑ । यत्र॒ गोषा॑ता धृषि॒तेषु॑ खा॒दिषु॒ विष्व॒क्पत॑न्ति दि॒द्यवो॑ नृ॒षाह्ये॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम यश देने वाले व परस्पर प्रहारों से युक्त युद्ध में सिंहनाद करते हो एवं धन पाने के लिए हमारी रक्षा करते हो. गायों का लाभ कराने वाले एवं मानवों को पराजित करने वाले युद्ध में योद्धा एक-दूसरे को नष्ट करते हैं एवं दीप्त आयुध चारों ओर गिरते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You sing in a war of praise and mutual blows and protect us to get money. In a war that benefits cows and defeats humans, warriors destroy each other and the bright armaments fall all around. (1)
स नः॑ क्षु॒मन्तं॒ सद॑ने॒ व्यू॑र्णुहि॒ गोअ॑र्णसं र॒यिमि॑न्द्र श्र॒वाय्य॑म् । स्याम॑ ते॒ जय॑तः शक्र मे॒दिनो॒ यथा॑ व॒यमु॒श्मसि॒ तद्व॑सो कृधि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे प्रसिद्ध इंद्र! तुम हमारे घर में इतनी प्रशंसनीय संपत्ति भर दो कि गाएं सागर के जल के समान पर्याप्त मात्रा में हों. हे शक्र! हम तुम्हारी विजय पर शक्तिशाली बनें. हे वासदाता इंद्र! हम जो कामना करें, उसे पूरा करो. (२)
EN English Translation
O famous Indra! You fill our house with such a plausible property that the cows are in sufficient quantities like the waters of the sea. Oh, Shakr! Let us be powerful at your victory. O Lord Indra! Do what we wish. (2)
यो नो॒ दास॒ आर्यो॑ वा पुरुष्टु॒तादे॑व इन्द्र यु॒धये॒ चिके॑तति । अ॒स्माभि॑ष्टे सु॒षहाः॑ सन्तु॒ शत्र॑व॒स्त्वया॑ व॒यं तान्व॑नुयाम संग॒मे ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बहुतों द्वारा प्रशंसित इंद्र! जो दास, आर्य अथवा राक्षस हमारे साथ युद्ध करना चाहते हैं. वे सब शत्रु तुम्हारी कृपा से हमारे द्वारा सरलता से हार जावें. हम तुम्हारी कृपा से उन्हें युद्ध में मार डालें. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra admired by many! Dasas, Aryans or demons who want to fight with us. May all those enemies be easily defeated by us by Your grace. Let us kill them in battle by your kindness. (3)
यो द॒भ्रेभि॒र्हव्यो॒ यश्च॒ भूरि॑भि॒र्यो अ॒भीके॑ वरिवो॒विन्नृ॒षाह्ये॑ । तं वि॑खा॒दे सस्नि॑म॒द्य श्रु॒तं नर॑म॒र्वाञ्च॒मिन्द्र॒मव॑से करामहे ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो इंद्र मानव संहारक युद्ध में धन प्राप्त करते हैं, वे चाहे थोड़े मनुष्यों द्वारा पुकारे जावें अथवा बहुतों द्वारा उन पर शुद्ध, सर्वत्र प्रसिद्ध एवं यज्ञ के नेता इंद्र को आज हम अपने अनुकूल बनाते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
The Indras who receive wealth in the human destructive war, whether they are called by a few human beings or by many, pure on them, the all-famous and the leader of the yagna, indra, is today friendly to us. (4)
स्व॒वृजं॒ हि त्वाम॒हमि॑न्द्र शु॒श्रवा॑नानु॒दं वृ॑षभ रध्र॒चोद॑नम् । प्र मु॑ञ्चस्व॒ परि॒ कुत्सा॑दि॒हा ग॑हि॒ किमु॒ त्वावा॑न्मु॒ष्कयो॑र्ब॒द्ध आ॑सते ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अभिलाषापूरक इंद्र! हमने सुना है कि तुम स्वयं अपने बंधन काटने वाले, आशातीत बल देने वाले एवं अपने भक्त के प्रेरक हो. तुम यहां आओ और कुत्स के बंधन से स्वयं को छुड़ाओ. तुम्हारे समान व्यक्ति भुजद्वय का बंधन क्यों सहन करता है? (५)
EN English Translation
Oh, this desireful Indra! We have heard that you are the one who cuts off your bonds, the one who gives hopeless strength and the motivators of your devotee. You come here and redeem yourself from the bondage of dogs. Why does a person like you bear the bondage of bhujdya? (5)
