यो वां॒ परि॑ज्मा सु॒वृद॑श्विना॒ रथो॑ दो॒षामु॒षासो॒ हव्यो॑ ह॒विष्म॑ता । श॒श्व॒त्त॒मास॒स्तमु॑ वामि॒दं व॒यं पि॒तुर्न नाम॑ सु॒हवं॑ हवामहे ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्चिनीकुमारो! तुम्हारा जो रथ सब ओर जाने वाला व ठीक से बंधा है एवं जिसे रात-दिन बुलाना यजमान अपना कर्त्तव्य समझता है, हम अतिशय चिरंतन उसी रथ का नाम इस प्रकार लेते हैं, जिस प्रकार पुत्र आनंदपूर्वक पिता का नाम लेता है. (१)
EN English Translation
O aschinikumaro! Your chariot which is going all the way and tied properly and which the host considers it its duty to call day and night, we take the name of the same chariot in this way, in the same way that the Son joyfully takes the name of the Father. (1)
चो॒दय॑तं सू॒नृताः॒ पिन्व॑तं॒ धिय॒ उत्पुरं॑धीरीरयतं॒ तदु॑श्मसि । य॒शसं॑ भा॒गं कृ॑णुतं नो अश्विना॒ सोमं॒ न चारुं॑ म॒घव॑त्सु नस्कृतम् ॥ (२)

हे अश्चिनीकुमारो! हमें मधुर वचन बोलने को प्रेरित करो, हमारे यज्ञकर्मो को पूर्ण करो व हम में बहुत सी बुद्धियां उत्पन्न करो. हम इन तीनों की कामना करते हैं. हमें यशस्वी धन दो. हम सोमरस के समान यजमानों को प्रसन्न करने वाले बनें. (२)
EN English Translation
O aschinikumaro! Encourage us to speak sweet words, fulfill our sacrificial deeds and instill in us many wisdoms. We wish these three. Give us successful money. Let us be the same as the Somras to please the hosts. (2)
अ॒मा॒जुर॑श्चिद्भवथो यु॒वं भगो॑ऽना॒शोश्चि॑दवि॒तारा॑प॒मस्य॑ चित् । अ॒न्धस्य॑ चिन्नासत्या कृ॒शस्य॑ चिद्यु॒वामिदा॑हुर्भि॒षजा॑ रु॒तस्य॑ चित् ॥ (३)

हे अश्विनीकुमार! तुम पिता के घर में वृद्ध होती हुई भाग्यहीन घोषा के लिए वर खोजकर सौभाग्यशाली बने. तुम चलने में असमर्थ एवं अत्यंत निम्न जाति वालों के रक्षक बनते हो. लोग तुम्हें अंधे और दुर्बलों का ही नहीं, यज्ञ का वैद्य भी कहते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O Ashwinikumar! You became lucky to find a groom for the aging fortuneless Ghosha in the father's house. You are unable to walk and become protectors of the very low jatis. People call you not only the blind and the weak, but also the vaidya of the yajna. (3)
यु॒वं च्यवा॑नं स॒नयं॒ यथा॒ रथं॒ पुन॒र्युवा॑नं च॒रथा॑य तक्षथुः । निष्टौ॒ग्र्यमू॑हथुर॒द्भ्यस्परि॒ विश्वेत्ता वां॒ सव॑नेषु प्र॒वाच्या॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्विनीकुमार! जिस प्रकार बढ़ई पुराने रथ को नया बनाकर चलने योग्य कर देता है, उसी प्रकार तुमने वृद्ध च्यवन ऋषि को जवान बनाकर चलने-फिरने लायक कर दिया था. तुमने तुग्र के पुत्र भुज्यु को जल के ऊपर तैराकर किनारे पर लगा दिया था. तुम्हारे वे कार्य यज्ञ के समय विशेषरूप से वर्णन करने योग्य हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Ashwinikumar! Just as the carpenter makes the old chariot new and makes it walkable, so you made the old Chyawan sage young and able to walk. You put Bhujyu, son of Tugrah, on the edge of the swim on top of the water. Those works of yours are particularly worth describing at the time of yajna. (4)
पु॒रा॒णा वां॑ वी॒र्या॒३॒॑ प्र ब्र॑वा॒ जनेऽथो॑ हासथुर्भि॒षजा॑ मयो॒भुवा॑ । ता वां॒ नु नव्या॒वव॑से करामहे॒ऽयं ना॑सत्या॒ श्रद॒रिर्यथा॒ दध॑त् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्विनीकुमारो! मैं लोगों के सामने तुम्हारे सभी पुराने वीर कर्मो का वर्णन करती हूं तुम दोनों सुख देने वाले वैद्य हो. मैं तुमसे रक्षा पाने के लिए तुम्हारी स्तुति करती हूं. मेरी स्तुति पर यजमान श्रद्धा करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Ashwinikumaro! I describe to the people all your old heroic deeds, both of you are happy physicians. I praise you for getting protection from you. The host reveres my praise. (5)
इ॒यं वा॑मह्वे शृणु॒तं मे॑ अश्विना पु॒त्राये॑व पि॒तरा॒ मह्यं॑ शिक्षतम् । अना॑पि॒रज्ञा॑ असजा॒त्याम॑तिः पु॒रा तस्या॑ अ॒भिश॑स्ते॒रव॑ स्पृतम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्विनीकुमारो! मैं तुम्हें बुलाता हूं. तुम मेरी पुकार सुनो. जिस प्रकार पिता पुत्र को सीख देता है, उसी प्रकार तुम मुझे सिखाओ. मैं बंधुरहित, ज्ञानशून्य जातिरहित एवं बुद्धिहीन तुम दुर्गति से पहले ही मेरी रक्षा करो. (६)
EN English Translation
O Ashwinikumaro! I'll call you. You listen to my call. Just as the Father teaches the Son, so teach me. I am without brotherhood, without knowledge, without knowledge, without jati and without wisdom, and you protect me before you are evil. (6)
यु॒वं रथे॑न विम॒दाय॑ शु॒न्ध्युवं॒ न्यू॑हथुः पुरुमि॒त्रस्य॒ योष॑णाम् । यु॒वं हवं॑ वध्रिम॒त्या अ॑गच्छतं यु॒वं सुषु॑तिं चक्रथुः॒ पुरं॑धये ॥ (७)

हे अश्विनीकुमारो! तुम पुरुमित्र की कन्या शुंध्युव को विमद के साथ विवाह करने के लिए रथ द्वारा ले गए थे. तुम वध्रिमती द्वारा बुलाए जाने पर आए थे एवं तुमने उस बुद्धिमती के लिए शोभन ऐश्वर्य दिया था. (७)
EN English Translation
O Ashwinikumaro! You were taken by chariot to Shundyuv, the daughter of Purumitra, to marry Vimad. You came when you were called by Vadrimati and you gave a glorious glory to that wisdom. (7)
यु॒वं विप्र॑स्य जर॒णामु॑पे॒युषः॒ पुनः॑ क॒लेर॑कृणुतं॒ युव॒द्वयः॑ । यु॒वं वन्द॑नमृश्य॒दादुदू॑पथुर्यु॒वं स॒द्यो वि॒श्पला॒मेत॑वे कृथः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्चिनीकुमारो! तुमने बुढ़ापे को प्राप्त एवं मेधावी कलि ऋषि को दुबारा जवान बना दिया था. तुमने वंदन नामक ऋषि को कुएं से निकाला था एवं लंगड़ी विश््पला को लोहे का पैर लगाकर चलने योग्य बना दिया था. (८)
EN English Translation
O aschinikumaro! You made the sage the old age and the bright bud again young. You had pulled out a sage named Vandan from the well and made the lame Vishwapala walkable by putting an iron foot. (8)
यु॒वं ह॑ रे॒भं वृ॑षणा॒ गुहा॑ हि॒तमुदै॑रयतं ममृ॒वांस॑मश्विना । यु॒वमृ॒बीस॑मु॒त त॒प्तमत्र॑य॒ ओम॑न्वन्तं चक्रथुः स॒प्तव॑ध्रये ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अभिलाषापूरक अश्विनीकुमारो! तुमने गुफा में पड़े हुए एवं मरणासन्न रेभ ऋषि को बाहर निकाला था. तुमने सात बंधनों से बंधे एवं जलते हुए अग्निकुंड में फेंके गए अत्रि ऋषि के लिए वर्षा करके अग्नि शांत कर दी थी. (९)
EN English Translation
This is the wish-filled Ashwinikumaro! You brought out the sage Rebh lying in the cave and dying. You calmed the agni by raining for the sage Atri, who was tied to seven bonds and thrown into the burning agni pit. (9)
यु॒वं श्वे॒तं पे॒दवे॑ऽश्वि॒नाश्वं॑ न॒वभि॒र्वाजै॑र्नव॒ती च॑ वा॒जिन॑म् । च॒र्कृत्यं॑ ददथुर्द्राव॒यत्स॑खं॒ भगं॒ न नृभ्यो॒ हव्यं॑ मयो॒भुव॑म् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्चिनीकुमारो! तुमने राजा पेदु के लिए निन्यानवे घोड़ों के साथ एक शक्तिशाली घोड़ा दिया था. वह घोड़ा शत्रुओं पर विजय पाने वाला व शत्रुओं के मित्रों को भगाने वाला था. वह मनुष्यों के लिए आह्वान करने योग्य, सुखदाता एवं धन के समान सेवनीय था. (१०)
EN English Translation
O aschinikumaro! You gave a mighty horse with ninety-nine horses to King Pedu. The horse was about to conquer the enemies and drive away the enemies' friends. He was as inviting to humans, pleasant and as palatable as wealth. (10)
न तं रा॑जानावदिते॒ कुत॑श्च॒न नांहो॑ अश्नोति दुरि॒तं नकि॑र्भ॒यम् । यम॑श्विना सुहवा रुद्रवर्तनी पुरोर॒थं कृ॑णु॒थः पत्न्या॑ स॒ह ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्वामी! दीनतारहित, शोभन आह्वान वाले एवं प्रशंसनीय मार्ग वाले अश्चिनीकुमारो! तुम जिस पतिपत्नी को अपने रथ के अगले भाग में बैठा लेते हो, उसे न पाप लगता है, न दुर्दशा उसके पास आती है और न उसे किसी से भय रहता है. (११)
EN English Translation
O Lord! Aschinikumaro, without humility, with a callous and laudable path! The husband and wife whom you make sit in the front of your chariot does not feel sinned, nor does the misery come to her, nor does she fear anyone. (11)
आ तेन॑ यातं॒ मन॑सो॒ जवी॑यसा॒ रथं॒ यं वा॑मृ॒भव॑श्च॒क्रुर॑श्विना । यस्य॒ योगे॑ दुहि॒ता जाय॑ते दि॒व उ॒भे अह॑नी सु॒दिने॑ वि॒वस्व॑तः ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्चिनीकुमारो! मन के समान वेगशाली उसी रथ पर बैठकर आओ, जिसे तुम्हारे लिए ऋभु नामक देवों ने बनाया था एवं जिस रथ के संयोग से सूर्यपुत्री उषा जन्म लेती है व सूर्य से शोभन दिन-रात उत्पन्न होते हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
O aschinikumaro! Sit on the same chariot as fast as the mind, which was built for you by the gods named Ribhu, and the chariot by which the sun's daughter Usha is born and the sun is born day and night. (12)
ता व॒र्तिर्या॑तं ज॒युषा॒ वि पर्व॑त॒मपि॑न्वतं श॒यवे॑ धे॒नुम॑श्विना । वृक॑स्य चि॒द्वर्ति॑काम॒न्तरा॒स्या॑द्यु॒वं शची॑भिर्ग्रसि॒ताम॑मुञ्चतम् ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्विनीकुमारो! तुम उसी जयशील रथ के द्वारा पर्वत की ओर जाने वाले मार्ग पर जाओ एवं शंयु के लिए बूढ़ी गाय को पुनः दुधारू बना दो. तुमने भेड़िए के मुंह में फंसी हुई वर्तिका नामक चिड़िया को अपने कर्मो के प्रभाव से छुड़ाया था. (१३)
EN English Translation
O Ashwinikumaro! You go on the path leading to the mountain by the same jaisheel chariot and make the old cow milch again for the sake of the woman. You rescued a bird called Vartika, trapped in the wolf's mouth, from the influence of your deeds. (13)
ए॒तं वां॒ स्तोम॑मश्विनावक॒र्मात॑क्षाम॒ भृग॑वो॒ न रथ॑म् । न्य॑मृक्षाम॒ योष॑णां॒ न मर्ये॒ नित्यं॒ न सू॒नुं तन॑यं॒ दधा॑नाः ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्विनीकुमारो! भृगुवंशियों ने जिस प्रकार रथ बनाया, उसी प्रकार हमने तुम्हारे लिए यह स्तोत्र बनाया है. जिस प्रकार दामाद को देने के लिए कन्या का शृंगार किया जाता है, उसी प्रकार हमने यह रथ सजाया है. हम इस स्तोत्र को यज्ञकर्ता पुत्र के समान सदा धारण करते हैं. (१४)
EN English Translation
O Ashwinikumaro! Just as the Bhriguvanshis made the chariot, we have made this hymn for you. Just as the kanya is adorned to give to the son-in-law, in the same way we have decorated this chariot. We hold this hymn as the sacrificial son forever. (14)
