हे अतिशय युवा अग्नि! ठंड से परेशान गाएं जिस प्रकार गरम पशुशाला में जाती हैं, उसी प्रकार यजमान फल पाने के लिए तुम्हारी सेवा करते हैं. हे महान् अग्नि! तुम देवों और मानवों के दूत हो एवं द्यावा-पृथिवी के बीच से हवि लेकर अंतरिक्ष में घूमते हो. (२)

O very young agni! Sing troubled by the cold Just as you go to the hot animal shed, the hosts serve you to get the fruit. O great agni! You are the messengers of gods and human beings and walk in space from between the divine and the earth. (2)
