तां सु ते॑ की॒र्तिं म॑घवन्महि॒त्वा यत्त्वा॑ भी॒ते रोद॑सी॒ अह्व॑येताम् । प्रावो॑ दे॒वाँ आति॑रो॒ दास॒मोजः॑ प्र॒जायै॑ त्वस्यै॒ यदशि॑क्ष इन्द्र ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! मैं तुम्हारे महत्त्व के कारण आई हुई शोभन कीर्ति का वर्णन करता हूं. जब द्यावा-पृथिवी ने भयभीत होकर तुम्हें बुलाया था, तब तुमने देवों की रक्षा की, राक्षसों की शक्ति नष्ट की एवं यजमान को बल प्रदान किया. (१)
EN English Translation
O Dhanaswami Indra! I describe shobhan kirti that came about because of your importance. When Dyava-Prithvi called you in fear, you protected the gods, destroyed the power of demons, and gave strength to the host. (1)
यदच॑रस्त॒न्वा॑ वावृधा॒नो बला॑नीन्द्र प्रब्रुवा॒णो जने॑षु । मा॒येत्सा ते॒ यानि॑ यु॒द्धान्या॒हुर्नाद्य शत्रुं॑ न॒नु पु॒रा वि॑वित्से ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुमने अपने शरीर को बढ़ाते हुए एवं मनुष्यों को घोषणा करते हुए जिन वृत्रवधादि बलसाध्य कार्यो को किया था, वह केवल माया थी. तुम्हारा सब युद्ध भी माया मात्र है. इस समय ही तुम्हारा कोई शत्रु नहीं है तो प्राचीनकाल में किस प्रकार रहा होगा? (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The only maya that you did was to do the forceful work of the vritaravadadi that you did while stretching out your body and proclaiming to men. All your war is also maya. At this time you have no enemies, so how could you have been in ancient times? (2)
क उ॒ नु ते॑ महि॒मनः॑ समस्या॒स्मत्पूर्व॒ ऋष॒योऽन्त॑मापुः । यन्मा॒तरं॑ च पि॒तरं॑ च सा॒कमज॑नयथास्त॒न्व१॒ः॑ स्वायाः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! क्या हमसे पहले ऋषियों ने तुम्हारी संपूर्ण महिमा का पार पाया था? तुमने अपने माता-पितारूपी द्यावा-पृथिवी को अपने शरीर से उत्पन्न किया था. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Did the sages before us surpass your full glory? You created your parents from your body. (3)
च॒त्वारि॑ ते असु॒र्या॑णि॒ नामादा॑भ्यानि महि॒षस्य॑ सन्ति । त्वम॒ङ्ग तानि॒ विश्वा॑नि वित्से॒ येभिः॒ कर्मा॑णि मघवञ्च॒कर्थ॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पूज्य इंद्र! तुम्हारे चार असुरनाशक और अपराजेय शरीर हैं. हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! तुम इन सबको जानते हो, जिनके द्वारा वृत्रवधादि कर्म करते हो. (४)
EN English Translation
O godly Indra! You have four asuras and unbeatable bodies. O Dhanaswami Indra! You know all of them through whom you do the deeds. (4)
त्वं विश्वा॑ दधिषे॒ केव॑लानि॒ यान्या॒विर्या च॒ गुहा॒ वसू॑नि । काम॒मिन्मे॑ मघव॒न्मा वि ता॑री॒स्त्वमा॑ज्ञा॒ता त्वमि॑न्द्रासि दा॒ता ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम इन सब असाधारण संपत्तियों को जानते हो, जो प्रकट एवं छिपी हुई हैं. तुम मेरी अभिलाषा पूरी करो. तुम्हीं आज्ञा करते हो और तुम्हीं देने वाले हो. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You know all these extraordinary possessions, which are revealed and hidden. You fulfill my wish. You command and you are the giver. (5)
यो अद॑धा॒ज्ज्योति॑षि॒ ज्योति॑र॒न्तर्यो असृ॑ज॒न्मधु॑ना॒ सं मधू॑नि । अध॑ प्रि॒यं शू॒षमिन्द्रा॑य॒ मन्म॑ ब्रह्म॒कृतो॑ बृ॒हदु॑क्थादवाचि ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिन इंद्र ने सूर्य आदि तेजस्वी पदार्थो में ज्योति धारण की है एवं जिन्होंने मधु के द्वारा सोमरस को मधुर बनाया, उन इंद्र के लिए विशाल उक्थमंत्रों के रचयिता ऋषियों ने शक्तिदाता स्तोत्र बोला है. (६)
EN English Translation
For Indra, who has possessed the light in the bright substances like the sun, etc., and who made the Somras sweeter by madhu, the sages who have spoken shaktidata hymns, the creators of the vast ukthamamantra, have spoken the shaktidata hymn. (6)
