हे सिंधु! तुम जिस समय उपजाऊ स्थानों की ओर बही, उस समय वरुण ने तुम्हारे गमन के लिए विस्तृत मार्ग बनाया. तुम धरती के ऊपर उच्चमार्ग से जाती हो. तुम सभी नदियों के अग्र भाग में विराजमान हो. (२)

O Sindhu! At the time when you led the book to fertile places, Varuna made a detailed path for your movement. You go up the high path above the earth. You are sitting in the front of all the rivers. (2)
