उर्वशी ने कहा-“पुरूरवा के जन्म के समय देखने के लिए देवपत्नियां भी एकत्रित हुई तथा स्वयं बहने वाली नदियों ने भी उसे आश्रित बनकर बढ़ाया. देवों ने युद्ध में शत्रुहनन करने के लिए तुम्हारी अत्यंत वृद्धि की.” (७)
