हे अग्नि! पूर्ववर्ती ऋषि स्तुतियां बोलते हुए तुम्हारे समीप आए हैं. हे बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए गए अग्नि! इस समय सब यजमान यज्ञा में तुम्हारे पास जाते हैं. राजा शंतनु ने यज्ञ में मुझे हजारों प्रकार की संपत्ति दक्षिणा के रूप में दी. हे रोहित अश्व वाले अग्नि! तुम यहां आओ. (९)
