वै॒श्वा॒न॒राय॑ धि॒षणा॑मृता॒वृधे॑ घृ॒तं न पू॒तम॒ग्नये॑ जनामसि । द्वि॒ता होता॑रं॒ मनु॑षश्च वा॒घतो॑ धि॒या रथं॒ न कुलि॑शः॒ समृ॑ण्वति ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम जल बढ़ाने वाले वैश्वानर को लक्ष्य करके युद्ध के समान आनंदप्रद स्तुतियां करते हैं. जैसे वसूला रथ को बनाता है, उसी प्रकार यजमान और ऋत्विज् गार्हपत्य एवं आह्वानीय दो प्रकार के देव-आह्वाता अग्नि का मैं संस्कार करता हूं. (१)
EN English Translation
We make joyful praises like war by aiming at a water-raising global. Just as the collection makes up the chariot, so I perform the rites of the two types of god-calling agni, the host and the ritwiz garhapta and the invocation. (1)
स रो॑चयज्ज॒नुषा॒ रोद॑सी उ॒भे स मा॒त्रोर॑भवत्पु॒त्र ईड्यः॑ । ह॒व्य॒वाळ॒ग्निर॒जर॒श्चनो॑हितो दू॒ळभो॑ वि॒शामति॑थिर्वि॒भाव॑सुः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि ने उत्पन्न होते ही धरती और आकाश को प्रकाशित किया एवं अपने माता-पिता के प्रशंसनीय पुत्र बने. हव्य वहन करने वाले, यजमान को अन्न देने वाले, अधृष्य एवं प्रभावयुक्त अग्नि इस प्रकार पूज्य हैं जैसे मनुष्य अतिथि की पूजा करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
As soon as agni was born, he illuminated the earth and the sky and became the admirable son of his parents. The human-carrying, the one who gives food to the host, the inferior and the impactful agni is revered as human beings worship the guest. (2)
क्रत्वा॒ दक्ष॑स्य॒ तरु॑षो॒ विध॑र्मणि दे॒वासो॑ अ॒ग्निं ज॑नयन्त॒ चित्ति॑भिः । रु॒रु॒चा॒नं भा॒नुना॒ ज्योति॑षा म॒हामत्यं॒ न वाजं॑ सनि॒ष्यन्नुप॑ ब्रुवे ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ज्ञानयुक्त देवगण ने व्यसनों से छुड़ाने वाले बल द्वारा यज्ञ में अग्नि को उत्पन्न किया. मैं अन्न की अभिलाषा से भासमान ज्योति द्वारा चमकने वाले महान् अग्नि की स्तुति भारवाही अश्व के समान करता हूं. (३)
EN English Translation
The god with knowledge created agni in the yagna by the force that got rid of addictions. I praise the great agni that shines by the bhasman jyoti with the desire for food like a load-carrying horse. (3)
आ म॒न्द्रस्य॑ सनि॒ष्यन्तो॒ वरे॑ण्यं वृणी॒महे॒ अह्र॑यं॒ वाज॑मृ॒ग्मिय॑म् । रा॒तिं भृगू॑णामु॒शिजं॑ क॒विक्र॑तुम॒ग्निं राज॑न्तं दि॒व्येन॑ शो॒चिषा॑ ॥ (४)

मैं स्तुति योग्य वैश्वानर अग्नि से संबंधित, उत्तम, लज्जा न उत्पन्न करने वाले एवं प्रशंसनीय अन्न की अभिलाषा करता हुआ भूृगुवंशी ऋषियों की इच्छा पूर्ण करने वाले, सबके प्रिय, क्रांतदर्शी एवं दिव्य ज्योति से सुशोभित अग्नि की सेवा करता हूं. (४)
EN English Translation
I serve the agni, which is related to the praiseworthy Vaishnavar Agni, the best, the undeserved, and the desire of the glorious sages, the one who fulfills the will of the bhugivanshi sages, the beloved of all, the revolutionaries and the adorned agni with divine light. (4)
अ॒ग्निं सु॒म्नाय॑ दधिरे पु॒रो जना॒ वाज॑श्रवसमि॒ह वृ॒क्तब॑र्हिषः । य॒तस्रु॑चः सु॒रुचं॑ वि॒श्वदे॑व्यं रु॒द्रं य॒ज्ञानां॒ साध॑दिष्टिम॒पसा॑म् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
कुश बिछाने वाले एवं हाथ में खुच लिए हुए ऋत्विज् सुख पाने के लिए मनुष्यों को अन्न देने वाले, उत्तम दीप्तियुक्त, संपूर्ण देवों के हितकारक, दुःखनाशक एवं यजमानों के यज्ञ पूर्ण करने वाले अग्नि की स्तुति करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
Those who lay kush and hold a scratch in their hands praise the agni that gives food to human beings to find happiness, the best of the bright, the benefactors of all the gods, the destroyers of sorrows and the ones who complete the yagna of the hosts. (5)
पाव॑कशोचे॒ तव॒ हि क्षयं॒ परि॒ होत॑र्य॒ज्ञेषु॑ वृ॒क्तब॑र्हिषो॒ नरः॑ । अग्ने॒ दुव॑ इ॒च्छमा॑नास॒ आप्य॒मुपा॑सते॒ द्रवि॑णं धेहि॒ तेभ्यः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पवित्र चमक वाले तथा देवों के होता अग्नि! यज्ञों में चारों ओर कुश बिछाए हुए एवं तुम्हारी सेवा करने के इच्छुक यजमान तुम्हारे प्राप्त करने योग्य यज्ञमंडप की सेवा करते हैं. तुम उन्हें धन दो. (६)
EN English Translation
O holy one of the shins and the agni of the gods! In the yajnas, the hosts who are laying kusha around and willing to serve you serve your attainable yajnamandapa. You give them money. (6)
आ रोद॑सी अपृण॒दा स्व॑र्म॒हज्जा॒तं यदे॑नम॒पसो॒ अधा॑रयन् । सो अ॑ध्व॒राय॒ परि॑ णीयते क॒विरत्यो॒ न वाज॑सातये॒ चनो॑हितः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि ने धरती, आकाश एवं विशाल स्वर्ग को भर दिया था. यजमानों ने अग्नि को धारण किया था. क्रांतदर्शी एवं अन्नयुक्त अग्नि घोड़े के समान अन्न पाने के लिए लाए जाते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
Fire had filled the earth, the sky, and the vast heaven. The hosts held the agni. Rhinoscopes and granaries are brought to get food like a horse. (7)
न॒म॒स्यत॑ ह॒व्यदा॑तिं स्वध्व॒रं दु॑व॒स्यत॒ दम्यं॑ जा॒तवे॑दसम् । र॒थीरृ॒तस्य॑ बृह॒तो विच॑र्षणिर॒ग्निर्दे॒वाना॑मभवत्पु॒रोहि॑तः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
नेता, महान् एवं यज्ञ को देखने वाले अग्नि देवों के सामने स्थापित हुए थे. देवों को हव्य देने वाले, शोभन यज्ञयुक्त, घरों के लिए हितकारक एवं सभी प्राणियों को जानने वाले अग्नि की सेवा करो. (८)
EN English Translation
The leaders were established in front of the great and the agni gods who saw the yajna. Serve the agni that gives love to the gods, with shobhan yagya, beneficial for the houses and knowing all beings. (8)
ति॒स्रो य॒ह्वस्य॑ स॒मिधः॒ परि॑ज्मनो॒ऽग्नेर॑पुनन्नु॒शिजो॒ अमृ॑त्यवः । तासा॒मेका॒मद॑धु॒र्मर्त्ये॒ भुज॑मु लो॒कमु॒ द्वे उप॑ जा॒मिमी॑यतुः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि की अभिलाषा करने वाले मरणरहित देवों ने महान् और चारों ओर जाने वाले अग्नि के ज्ञापक पार्थिव, वैद्युतिक एवं सूर्यरूप तीन शरीरों को पवित्र किया था. देवों ने सबका पालन करने वाले पार्थिव शरीर को धरती पर एवं शेष दो को आकाश में रखा. (९)
EN English Translation
The godless who longed for agni had sanctified the three mortal, the earthly, the electric and the sun, the great and the guardians of the agni that went around. The gods placed the earthly body on earth and the other two in the sky. (9)
वि॒शां क॒विं वि॒श्पतिं॒ मानु॑षी॒रिषः॒ सं सी॑मकृण्व॒न्स्वधि॑तिं॒ न तेज॑से । स उ॒द्वतो॑ नि॒वतो॑ याति॒ वेवि॑ष॒त्स गर्भ॑मे॒षु भुव॑नेषु दीधरत् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
धन की इच्छा करने वाली मानवी प्रजाओं ने प्रजाओं के स्वामी एवं मेधावी अग्नि का इसलिए संस्कार किया कि वे धार लगी हुई तलवार के समान तेजस्वी हो जावें. अग्नि ऊंचे तथा नीचे स्थानों को व्याप्त करते हुए जाते हैं एवं सभी लोकों में अपना गर्भ धारण करते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
The human subjects who wanted money performed the rites of the masters of the people and the brilliant agni so that they would be as bright as a sharpened sword. Fires permeate the high and low places and conceive themselves in all the realms. (10)
स जि॑न्वते ज॒ठरे॑षु प्रजज्ञि॒वान्वृषा॑ चि॒त्रेषु॒ नान॑द॒न्न सिं॒हः । वै॒श्वा॒न॒रः पृ॑थु॒पाजा॒ अम॑र्त्यो॒ वसु॒ रत्ना॒ दय॑मानो॒ वि दा॒शुषे॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
परम तेजस्वी, अमर, यजमान को उत्तम वस्तुएं देने वाले, उत्पन्न होने वाले एवं कामवर्षक वैश्वानर अग्नि सिंह के समान गर्जन करते हुए अनेक प्रकार के उदरों में बढ़ते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
The supremely brilliant, immortal, the best of the host, the originating and the workman, the vaishwar grows in many kinds of abdomen, roaring like a agni lion. (11)
वै॒श्वा॒न॒रः प्र॒त्नथा॒ नाक॒मारु॑हद्दि॒वस्पृ॒ष्ठं भन्द॑मानः सु॒मन्म॑भिः । स पू॑र्व॒वज्ज॒नय॑ञ्ज॒न्तवे॒ धनं॑ समा॒नमज्मं॒ पर्ये॑ति॒ जागृ॑विः ॥ (१२)

स्तोताओं द्वारा स्तुति किए जाते हुए वैश्वानर अग्नि चिरंतन के समान अंतरिक्ष की पीठ रूप स्वर्ग पर आरोहण करते हैं. वे प्राचीन ऋषियों के समान ही स्तुतिकर्तता यजमान को धन देते हुए सदा प्रबुद्ध रहकर सूर्य के रूप में देवों की तरह आकाशरूपी मार्ग पर घूमते हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
Praised by the Psalms, The Vaishnavars ascend to heaven as the back of space like agni chirantan. They, like the ancient sages, roam the path of the sky like the gods, always being enlightened, giving money to the host of praise. (12)
ऋ॒तावा॑नं य॒ज्ञियं॒ विप्र॑मु॒क्थ्य१॒॑मा यं द॒धे मा॑त॒रिश्वा॑ दि॒वि क्षय॑म् । तं चि॒त्रया॑मं॒ हरि॑केशमीमहे सुदी॒तिम॒ग्निं सु॑वि॒ताय॒ नव्य॑से ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बलवान्, यज्ञ के योग्य, मेधावी, स्तुति योग्य एवं स्वर्गलोक में निवास करने वाले अग्नि को धरती पर लाकर वायु ने स्थापित किया है. हम उन्हीं विचित्र गति वाले, पीली किरणों वाले एवं शोभन दीप्तियुक्त अग्नि से नवीन धन की याचना करते हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
The wind has established the agni, worthy of sacrifice, meritorious, praiseworthy and inhabiting paradise by bringing it to the earth. We ask for new money from the same strange-moving, yellow-rayed and beautiful, bright agni. (13)
शुचिं॒ न याम॑न्निषि॒रं स्व॒र्दृशं॑ के॒तुं दि॒वो रो॑चन॒स्थामु॑ष॒र्बुध॑म् । अ॒ग्निं मू॒र्धानं॑ दि॒वो अप्र॑तिष्कुतं॒ तमी॑महे॒ नम॑सा वा॒जिनं॑ बृ॒हत् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं दीप्त, यज्ञ में गमन करने वाले, अभिलाषा करने योग्य, सबको देखने वाले, स्वर्ग के प्रतीक, सूर्य में स्थित, प्रातःकाल जागने वाले, स्वर्ग के शीश तुल्य, अन्नयुक्त एवं महान् अग्नि की स्तोत्र द्वारा याचना करता हूं. उनका शब्द कहीं रुकता नहीं है. (१४)
EN English Translation
I beseech by the hymn of the lampth, the one who walks in the yagna, the one who desires, the seer of all, the symbol of heaven, the one who is in the sun, the awakening in the morning, the shisha of heaven, the foody and the great agni. His word doesn't stop anywhere. (14)
म॒न्द्रं होता॑रं॒ शुचि॒मद्व॑याविनं॒ दमू॑नसमु॒क्थ्यं॑ वि॒श्वच॑र्षणिम् । रथं॒ न चि॒त्रं वपु॑षाय दर्श॒तं मनु॑र्हितं॒ सद॒मिद्रा॒य ई॑महे ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्तुति के योग्य, देवों को बुलाने वाले, शुद्ध, कुटिलतारहित, दानदाता, श्रेष्ठ, संसार को देखने वाले, रथ की तरह विविध रंगों वाले, दर्शनीय तथा मानवों का सदा हित करने वाले अग्नि से मैं धन की याचना करता हूं. (१५)
EN English Translation
I ask for money from a agni worthy of praise, calling upon the gods, pure, without crookedness, the giver, the best, the seer of the world, of various colours like a chariot, of sight and of the eternal benefit of human beings. (15)
