इन्द्रः॑ पू॒र्भिदाति॑र॒द्दास॑म॒र्कैर्वि॒दद्व॑सु॒र्दय॑मानो॒ वि शत्रू॑न् । ब्रह्म॑जूतस्त॒न्वा॑ वावृधा॒नो भूरि॑दात्र॒ आपृ॑ण॒द्रोद॑सी उ॒भे ॥ (१)

पुरभेदनकारी, महिमा प्रकट करने वाले, धनों से युक्त एवं असुरों की विशेष रूप से हिंसा करने वाले इंद्र ने दिवस को अपने तेजों द्वारा बढ़ाया. स्तुति सुनकर आकर्षित होने वाले, अपने शरीर के द्वारा बढ़ते हुए एवं विविध आयुधों को धारण करने वाले इंद्र ने धरती और आकाश को सब ओर से तृप्त किया है. (१)
EN English Translation
Indra, who is a protector, a glorifying, rich and particularly violent asuras, extended the day with his brightness. Indra, who is attracted to the praises, growing through his body and possessing various weapons, has satiated the earth and the sky from all sides. (1)
म॒खस्य॑ ते तवि॒षस्य॒ प्र जू॒तिमिय॑र्मि॒ वाच॑म॒मृता॑य॒ भूष॑न् । इन्द्र॑ क्षिती॒नाम॑सि॒ मानु॑षीणां वि॒शां दैवी॑नामु॒त पू॑र्व॒यावा॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुझ स्तुतियोग्य एवं शक्तिशाली को अलंकृत करता हुआ मैं अन्न प्राप्ति के लिए मन से स्तुति करता हूं. हे इंद्र! तुम मानवी एवं दैवी प्रजाओं के आगे चलने वाले हो. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Adorning you with praise and strength, I praise you with all my heart for receiving food. O Indra! You are going to walk before human and divine people. (2)
इन्द्रो॑ वृ॒त्रम॑वृणो॒च्छर्ध॑नीतिः॒ प्र मा॒यिना॑ममिना॒द्वर्प॑णीतिः । अह॒न्व्यं॑समु॒शध॒ग्वने॑ष्वा॒विर्धेना॑ अकृणोद्रा॒म्याणा॑म् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्रसिद्धकर्म वाले इंद्र ने वृत्र असुर को रोका था. युद्ध में शत्रुओं के प्रहार रोकने वाले इंद्र ने मायावियों को विशेष रूप से मारा था. शत्रुवध की अभिलाषा करने वाले इंद्र ने वन में छिपे हुए एवं बिना धड़ वाले शत्रु का वध किया तथा रात्रियों में छिपी हुई गायों को प्रकट किया. (३)
EN English Translation
Indra, who is a man of famous karma, had stopped the Vrithra Asura. Indra, who stopped the blows of enemies in the war, had killed the Mayavians in particular. Indra, who longed for enmity, killed the enemy hidden in the forest and without a torso and revealed the cows hidden in the nights. (3)
इन्द्रः॑ स्व॒र्षा ज॒नय॒न्नहा॑नि जि॒गायो॒शिग्भिः॒ पृत॑ना अभि॒ष्टिः । प्रारो॑चय॒न्मन॑वे के॒तुमह्ना॒मवि॑न्द॒ज्ज्योति॑र्बृह॒ते रणा॑य ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने स्वर्ग देने वाले, अपने तेजों से दिनों को उत्पन्न करते हुए एवं शत्रुओं के साथ युद्ध की कामना करने वाले अंगिराओं का साथ देकर शत्रु सेना को जीत लिया एवं दिन के ध्वज के समान सूर्य को मनुष्यों के लिए उद्दीप्त किया. इसके बाद इंद्र ने महान् युद्ध के लिए प्रकाश पाया. (४)
EN English Translation
Indra conquered the enemy army by supporting the angiras who gave heaven, generating days with his brightness and wishing for war with the enemies, and ignited the sun for men like the flag of the day. After this Indra found light for the Great War. (4)
इन्द्र॒स्तुजो॑ ब॒र्हणा॒ आ वि॑वेश नृ॒वद्दधा॑नो॒ नर्या॑ पु॒रूणि॑ । अचे॑तय॒द्धिय॑ इ॒मा ज॑रि॒त्रे प्रेमं वर्ण॑मतिरच्छु॒क्रमा॑साम् ॥ (५)

इंद्र ने युद्ध करने वालों के पर्याप्त धनों को छीनते हुए बाधा पहुंचाने वाली तथा युद्ध की अभिलाषा से आगे बढ़ती हुई शत्रु सेनाओं में प्रवेश किया. इंद्र ने स्तुतिकर्ता के लिए उषाओं का ज्ञान कराया तथा उनके चमकीले रंग को बढ़ाया. (५)
EN English Translation
Indra entered the enemy armies, taking away enough money from the warrs, obstructing and moving ahead of the desire for war. Indra made the ushas known to the eulogist and increased their bright color. (5)
म॒हो म॒हानि॑ पनयन्त्य॒स्येन्द्र॑स्य॒ कर्म॒ सुकृ॑ता पु॒रूणि॑ । वृ॒जने॑न वृजि॒नान्सं पि॑पेष मा॒याभि॒र्दस्यू॑ँर॒भिभू॑त्योजाः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
लोग महान् इंद्र के महान् एवं बहुत से उत्तम कर्मो की स्तुति करते हैं. शत्रु परभवकारी एवं ओज वाले इंद्र ने शक्तिशाली लोगों को शक्ति द्वारा एवं दस्युओं को मायाओं द्वारा पीस डाला था. (६)
EN English Translation
People praise the great and many good deeds of the great Indra. Indra, who was the enemy of the lord and the enemy, had crushed the powerful by power and the bandits by the Maya. (6)
यु॒धेन्द्रो॑ म॒ह्ना वरि॑वश्चकार दे॒वेभ्यः॒ सत्प॑तिश्चर्षणि॒प्राः । वि॒वस्व॑तः॒ सद॑ने अस्य॒ तानि॒ विप्रा॑ उ॒क्थेभिः॑ क॒वयो॑ गृणन्ति ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों के स्वामी एवं मानवों के कामपूरक इंद्र ने महान् युद्ध के द्वारा धन प्राप्त करके स्तोताओं को दिया. मेधावी स्तोतागण यजमान के घर में मंत्रों द्वारा उन कर्मों की प्रशंसा करते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
Indra, the lord of the gods and the doer of human beings, received wealth through the great war and gave it to the Stotas. The meritorious stotas praise those deeds by chanting mantras in the host's house. (7)
स॒त्रा॒साहं॒ वरे॑ण्यं सहो॒दां स॑स॒वांसं॒ स्व॑र॒पश्च॑ दे॒वीः । स॒सान॒ यः पृ॑थि॒वीं द्यामु॒तेमामिन्द्रं॑ मद॒न्त्यनु॒ धीर॑णासः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बुद्धिमान् स्तोता वृत्रादि को हटाने वाले, वरण करने योग्य, दुर्बल याचक को बलप्रद, दिव्यजल एवं स्वर्ग के दानी इंद्र के साथ-साथ आनंद अनुभव करते हैं. इंद्र ने इस धरती एवं आकाश का दान किया था. (८)
EN English Translation
The wise stotas experience joy along with indra, the godly man who removes the vrithradi, the chooseable, the weak yakak, the strong, the divine water and the grandmother of heaven, Indra. Indra had donated this earth and sky. (8)
स॒सानात्या॑ँ उ॒त सूर्यं॑ ससा॒नेन्द्रः॑ ससान पुरु॒भोज॑सं॒ गाम् । हि॒र॒ण्यय॑मु॒त भोगं॑ ससान ह॒त्वी दस्यू॒न्प्रार्यं॒ वर्ण॑मावत् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने घोड़ों, सूर्य एवं बहुत से लोगों के उपभोग में आने वाली गायों का दान दिया था. इंद्र ने स्वर्णरूपी धन का दान किया एवं दस्युओं को मारकर आर्यवर्णो का पालन किया. (९)
EN English Translation
Indra had donated horses, the sun and the cows that came to the consumption of many people. Indra donated the golden money and followed the Aryavarna by killing the bandits. (9)
इन्द्र॒ ओष॑धीरसनो॒दहा॑नि॒ वन॒स्पती॑ँरसनोद॒न्तरि॑क्षम् । बि॒भेद॑ व॒लं नु॑नु॒दे विवा॒चोऽथा॑भवद्दमि॒ताभिक्र॑तूनाम् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने ओषधियों, दिवसों, वनस्पतियों तथा अंतरिक्ष का दान किया था. इंद्र ने मेघ को भिन्न किया, विरोधियों को मारा एवं युद्ध के लिए सामने आए लोगों का दमन किया था. (१०)
EN English Translation
Indra had donated medicines, days, flora and space. Indra had separated the cloud, killed opponents and oppressed those who had come forward for war. (10)
शु॒नं हु॑वेम म॒घवा॑न॒मिन्द्र॑म॒स्मिन्भरे॒ नृत॑मं॒ वाज॑सातौ । शृ॒ण्वन्त॑मु॒ग्रमू॒तये॑ स॒मत्सु॒ घ्नन्तं॑ वृ॒त्राणि॑ सं॒जितं॒ धना॑नाम् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
धन प्राप्ति वाले संग्राम में उत्साहपूर्ण, धनवान्, सकल विश्व के नेता, स्तुतियां सुनने वाले, शत्रुओं को भयंकर, युद्ध में राक्षस विनाशकारी एवं शत्रुओं के धन के विजेता इंद्र को हम रक्षा के लिए बुलाते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
We call indra, the leader of the world, the leader of the rich, the leader of the world, the hearers of praise, the enemies fierce, the demon destroyers in the war and the winner of the wealth of enemies. (11)
