को वे॑द॒ जान॑मेषां॒ को वा॑ पु॒रा सु॒म्नेष्वा॑स म॒रुता॑म् । यद्यु॑यु॒ज्रे कि॑ला॒स्यः॑ ॥ (१)

इन मरुतों का जन्म कौन जानता है? मरुतों का सुख सर्वप्रथम किसने अनुभव किया? जब इन्होंने रथ में पृश्नि को जोड़ा था, तब इनकी शक्ति किसने जानी? (१)
EN English Translation
Who knows the birth of these maruts? Who first experienced the happiness of the maruts? When they added the earth to the chariot, who knew their power? (1)
त्र्य॑र्य॒मा मनु॑षो दे॒वता॑ता॒ त्री रो॑च॒ना दि॒व्या धा॑रयन्त । अर्च॑न्ति त्वा म॒रुतः॑ पू॒तद॑क्षा॒स्त्वमे॑षा॒मृषि॑रिन्द्रासि॒ धीरः॑ ॥ (१)

मनु के यज्ञ के तीन तेजों एवं अंतरिक्ष में होने वाले तीन प्रकाशयुक्तों को मरुतों ने धारण किया है. हे इंद्र! पवित्र-शक्ति वाले मरुत् तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. हे धीर इंद्र! तुम इन्हें देखने वाले हो. (१)
EN English Translation
The three lights of Manu's yajna and the three light-bearings in space are held by the Maruts. O Indra! The holy-powered deserts praise you. O patient Indra! You're going to see them. (1)
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ यमव॑थ उ॒भा वाजे॑षु॒ मर्त्य॑म् । दृ॒ळ्हा चि॒त्स प्र भे॑दति द्यु॒म्ना वाणी॑रिव त्रि॒तः ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र एवं अग्नि! संग्राम में तुम्हारे द्वारा रक्षित लोग उसी प्रकार शत्रु के सुरक्षित धन का नाश करते हैं, जिस प्रकार विद्वान् अपने विरोधी के तर्क को काटता है. (१)

O Indra and Agni! In the struggle, the people protected by you destroy the enemy's secured wealth in the same way that the scholar cuts the argument of his opponent. (1)
प्र वो॑ म॒हे म॒तयो॑ यन्तु॒ विष्ण॑वे म॒रुत्व॑ते गिरि॒जा ए॑व॒याम॑रुत् । प्र शर्धा॑य॒ प्रय॑ज्यवे सुखा॒दये॑ त॒वसे॑ भ॒न्ददि॑ष्टये॒ धुनि॑व्रताय॒ शव॑से ॥ (१)

एवयामरुत् नामक ऋषि की स्तुतियां मरुतों के स्वामी एवं शक्तिशाली, अतिशय यज्ञपात्र, शोभन आभरणों वाले, तेजस्वी, स्तुति-अभिलाषी एवं शीघ्रगामी मरुतों के पास जावें. (१)
EN English Translation
May the praises of the sage named Evyamaruta go to the masters of the maruts and to the powerful, the most sacrificial, the many abhyanpatras, the adorned, the glorious, the praise-seekers and the early maruts. (1)
क्व१॒॑ स्य वी॒रः को अ॑पश्य॒दिन्द्रं॑ सु॒खर॑थ॒मीय॑मानं॒ हरि॑भ्याम् । यो रा॒या व॒ज्री सु॒तसो॑ममि॒च्छन्तदोको॒ गन्ता॑ पुरुहू॒त ऊ॒ती ॥ (१)

वज्रधारी एवं बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए गए इंद्र धन के साथ-साथ सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले यजमान की अभिलाषा पूर्ण करते हुए यजमान की रक्षा करने के निमित्त उसके घर में चले जाते हैं. वे वीर इंद्र कहां हैं? हरि नामक घोड़ों द्वारा खींचे जाते हुए सुखदायक रथ पर बैठकर चलने वाले इंद्र को किसने देखा है? (१)
EN English Translation
Indra holding the thunderbolt, who is called by many, fulfills the desire of the host who squeezes the somaras along with wealth, goes to his house to protect the host. Where is that brave Indra? Who has seen Indra walking on a pleasing chariot pulled by horses named Hari? (1)
प्र शर्धा॑य॒ मारु॑ताय॒ स्वभा॑नव इ॒मां वाच॑मनजा पर्वत॒च्युते॑ । घ॒र्म॒स्तुभे॑ दि॒व आ पृ॑ष्ठ॒यज्व॑ने द्यु॒म्नश्र॑वसे॒ महि॑ नृ॒म्णम॑र्चत ॥ (१)

स्वायत्त, तेज वाले, पर्वतों को च्युत करने वाले, धूप का शोषण करने वाले, स्वर्ग से आने वाले, रथ के उपरिभाग पर विराजमान एवं तेजस्वी अन्न वाले मरुतों के बल की प्रशंसा करो तथा उन्हें पर्याप्त अन्न दो. (१)
EN English Translation
Praise the strength of the autonomous, the bright, the mountains, the ones who exploit the sun, those who come from heaven, those who sit on the top of the chariot and have bright food, and give them enough food. (1)
इन्द्रो॒ रथा॑य प्र॒वतं॑ कृणोति॒ यम॒ध्यस्था॑न्म॒घवा॑ वाज॒यन्त॑म् । यू॒थेव॑ प॒श्वो व्यु॑नोति गो॒पा अरि॑ष्टो याति प्रथ॒मः सिषा॑सन् ॥ (१)

धन के स्वामी इंद्र, जिस अन्नाभिलाषी रथ पर बैठते हैं, उसे हांकते भी हैं. जैसे ग्वाला पशुओं के समूह को हांकता है, उसी प्रकार इंद्र शत्रुओं को भगाते हैं. अपराजित एवं देवश्रेष्ठ इंद्र शत्रुओं के धन को चाहते हुए चलते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Indra, the lord of wealth, also bows down to the anvilashi chariot on which he sits. Just as the gwala moves a group of animals, so indra drives away the enemies. Aparajit and Devshreshtha Indra walk in wanting the wealth of enemies. (1)
प्रय॑ज्यवो म॒रुतो॒ भ्राज॑दृष्टयो बृ॒हद्वयो॑ दधिरे रु॒क्मव॑क्षसः । ईय॑न्ते॒ अश्वैः॑ सु॒यमे॑भिरा॒शुभिः॒ शुभं॑ या॒तामनु॒ रथा॑ अवृत्सत ॥ (१)

अतिशय यज्ञपात्र, प्रकाशित आयुधों वाले एवं सीने पर सोने के हार पहनने वाले मरुद्गण अधिक अन्न धारण करते हैं. वे सरलता से वश में होने योग्य एवं तीव्रगति वाले अश्चों द्वारा वहन किए जाते हैं. मरुतों के रथ जल के पीछे चलते हैं. (१)

The birds who wear atishya yajnapatra, illuminated weapons and wear gold necklaces on the chest wear more food. They are carried by easily controllable and fast moving horses. The chariots of the Maruts run behind the water. (1)
अग्ने॒ शर्ध॑न्त॒मा ग॒णं पि॒ष्टं रु॒क्मेभि॑र॒ञ्जिभिः॑ । विशो॑ अ॒द्य म॒रुता॒मव॑ ह्वये दि॒वश्चि॑द्रोच॒नादधि॑ ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि! चमकते हुए आभरणों से युक्त एवं शत्रुओं को हराने में कुशल मरुतों के गणों को आज बुलाओ. हम आज दीप्तिशाली स्वर्ग से अपने सामने उपस्थित होने के लिए मरुतों को बुलाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! Call today the people of maruts with shining fillers and skilled in defeating the enemies. Today we call upon the Maruts to appear before us from the glorious heaven. (1)
अद॑र्द॒रुत्स॒मसृ॑जो॒ वि खानि॒ त्वम॑र्ण॒वान्ब॑द्बधा॒नाँ अ॑रम्णाः । म॒हान्त॑मिन्द्र॒ पर्व॑तं॒ वि यद्वः सृ॒जो वि धारा॒ अव॑ दान॒वं ह॑न् ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! तुमने मेघ को विदीर्ण किया एवं जल निकलने का मार्ग खोल दिया. इस प्रकार बाधक मेघों को विसर्जित किया है. तुमने विशाल मेघ को उन्मुक्त करके पानी बरसाया एवं वृत्र दानव को मारा. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You have pierced the cloud and opened the way for the water to come out. Thus the barrier is immersed in the clouds. You released the huge cloud and poured out the water and killed the vritar demon. (1)
आ रु॑द्रास॒ इन्द्र॑वन्तः स॒जोष॑सो॒ हिर॑ण्यरथाः सुवि॒ताय॑ गन्तन । इ॒यं वो॑ अ॒स्मत्प्रति॑ हर्यते म॒तिस्तृ॒ष्णजे॒ न दि॒व उत्सा॑ उद॒न्यवे॑ ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र से युक्त, परस्पर प्रीति संपन्न, सोने के रथों पर बैठे हुए एवं रुद्रपुत्र मरुतो! तुम सरल गमन वाले हमारे यज्ञ में आओ. हमारी स्तुति तुम्हारी कामना करती है. जिस प्रकार तुमने प्यासे एवं जल चाहने वाले गोतम के पास स्वर्ग से आकर जल पहुंचाया था, उसी प्रकार तुम हमारे समीप आओ. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra, of mutual love, sitting on gold chariots and maruto the son of Rudra! You come to our yajna with simple passages. Our praise wishes you. Just as you came from heaven to gotam, the thirsty and the one who wants water, so come near to us. (1)
महि॑ म॒हे त॒वसे॑ दीध्ये॒ नॄनिन्द्रा॑ये॒त्था त॒वसे॒ अत॑व्यान् । यो अ॑स्मै सुम॒तिं वाज॑सातौ स्तु॒तो जने॑ सम॒र्य॑श्चि॒केत॑ ॥ (१)

मैं परम दुर्बल संवरण ऋषि परम शक्तिशाली इंद्र के लिए उत्तम स्तुति बोलता हूं. उससे मेरे समान लोग शक्तिशाली बनेंगे. संग्राम में अन्नलाभ करने के उद्देश्य से स्तुति सुनकर इंद्र मुझ संवरण के स्तोताओं पर कृपा करें. (१)

I speak best praise for the most powerful Indra, the most weak Samvaran sage. That will make people like me powerful. After listening to praise for the purpose of getting food in the battle, Indra should be kind to the stomats of Mujh Savaran. (1)
तमु॑ नू॒नं तवि॑षीमन्तमेषां स्तु॒षे ग॒णं मारु॑तं॒ नव्य॑सीनाम् । य आ॒श्व॑श्वा॒ अम॑व॒द्वह॑न्त उ॒तेशि॑रे अ॒मृत॑स्य स्व॒राजः॑ ॥ (१)

आज हम मरुतों के तेजस्वी, स्तुतियोग्य, अत्यंत नवीन, शीघ्रगामी अश्वों वाले, शक्ति की अधिकता के कारण सब जगह पहुंचने वाले, जल के स्वामी एवं प्रभासंपन्न गण की स्तुति करते हैं. (१)

Today, we praise the bright, praiseworthy, the most innovative, the quick-moving horses of the maruts, those who reach everywhere because of the abundance of power, the masters of water and the lordly people. (1)
अबो॑ध्य॒ग्निः स॒मिधा॒ जना॑नां॒ प्रति॑ धे॒नुमि॑वाय॒तीमु॒षास॑म् । य॒ह्वा इ॑व॒ प्र व॒यामु॒ज्जिहा॑नाः॒ प्र भा॒नवः॑ सिस्रते॒ नाक॒मच्छ॑ ॥ (१)

गाय के समान आने वाली उषा के पश्चात् अध्वर्यु आदि की समिधाओं द्वारा अग्नि प्रज्वलित होते हैं. अग्नि की शिखाएं महान् हैं. अग्नि विस्तृत शाखाओं वाले वृक्ष के समान आकाश की ओर बढ़ते हैं. (१)

After the usha that comes like a cow, agni is ignited by the committees of adhwaryu etc. The crests of agni are great. The agni moves towards the sky like a tree with wide branches. (1)
अजा॑तशत्रुम॒जरा॒ स्व॑र्व॒त्यनु॑ स्व॒धामि॑ता द॒स्ममी॑यते । सु॒नोत॑न॒ पच॑त॒ ब्रह्म॑वाहसे पुरुष्टु॒ताय॑ प्रत॒रं द॑धातन ॥ (१)

हे ऋत्विजो! अजातशत्रु, शत्रुहंता एवं अक्षीण, स्वर्गदाता तथा अधिक हव्य प्राप्त करने वाले इंद्र के निमित्त पुरोडाश पकाओ तथा सोमरस निचोड़ो. वे इंद्र स्तोत्र धारण करने वाले एवं बहुतों द्वारा स्तुत हैं. (१)

Hey Ritvijo! Cook the purodash and squeeze the somras for ajatashatru, shatruhata and akshan, the heaven-giver and indra who attains more happiness. They are admired by many and wearing indra stotra. (1)
प्र वः॒ स्पळ॑क्रन्सुवि॒ताय॑ दा॒वनेऽर्चा॑ दि॒वे प्र पृ॑थि॒व्या ऋ॒तं भ॑रे । उ॒क्षन्ते॒ अश्वा॒न्तरु॑षन्त॒ आ रजोऽनु॒ स्वं भा॒नुं श्र॑थयन्ते अर्ण॒वैः ॥ (१)

हे मरुतो! हव्यदाता तुम्हें हव्य प्राप्त कराने के लिए भली-भांति से स्तुति करते हैं. हे होता! तुम स्वर्ग की पूजा करो एवं धरती की स्तुतियां बोलो. मरुद्गण दूर-दूर तक पानी बरसाते हैं, आकाश में सर्वत्र घूमते हैं एवं बादलों के साथ अपना तेज विस्तृत करते हैं. (१)

O Maruto! The givers praise you well for getting the gift. It was! Worship the heavens and speak the praises of the earth. Deserts rain water far and wide, move around in the sky and expand their brightness with the clouds. (1)
कु॒मा॒रं मा॒ता यु॑व॒तिः समु॑ब्धं॒ गुहा॑ बिभर्ति॒ न द॑दाति पि॒त्रे । अनी॑कमस्य॒ न मि॒नज्जना॑सः पु॒रः प॑श्यन्ति॒ निहि॑तमर॒तौ ॥ (१)

युवती माता ने कुमार को रास्ते में चलते समय घायल हो जाने पर गुफा में रखा, उसके पिता को नहीं दिया, लोग उसके हिंसित रूप को नहीं देखते हैं, किंतु असुंदर स्थान में रखा हुआ देखते हैं. (१)

The young woman's mother kept Kumar in the cave when he was injured while walking on the way, did not give it to his father, people do not see his disguised form, but they see him kept in an inconsolable place. (1)

मैं श्यावाश्व ऋषि के स्तोत्रों द्वारा उत्तम रक्षा करने वाले अग्नि की स्तुति करता हूं. अग्नि यहां आकर मेरे यज्ञकर्म को जानें. लोग जिस प्रकार रथों की सहायता से इच्छित स्थान पर पहुंच जाते हैं, उसी प्रकार हम अन्न की अभिलाषा से पूर्ण स्तोत्रों द्वारा अपना अभिमत पूरा करें. हम प्रदक्षिणा द्वारा मरुतों के समूह को बढ़ावें. I praise the agni that protects the best by the hymns of sage Shyavaswa. Fire come here and know my yajnakarma. Just as people reach the desired place with the help of chariots, so let us fulfill our opinion through complete hymns with the desire of food. We should increase the group of maruts by circumambulation. (1)
यस्ते॒ साधि॒ष्ठोऽव॑स॒ इन्द्र॒ क्रतु॒ष्टमा भ॑र । अ॒स्मभ्यं॑ चर्षणी॒सहं॒ सस्निं॒ वाजे॑षु दु॒ष्टर॑म् ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! तुम्हारा अतिशय साधक यज्ञकर्म हमारी रक्षा करे. वह कर्म सबको पराजित करने वाला एवं शुद्ध है. युद्ध में दूसरे उसे नहीं हरा सकते. (१)

O Indra! May your utmost seeker perform yajnakarma protect us. That action is pure and defeating all. Others can't defeat him in the war. (1)
के ष्ठा॑ नरः॒ श्रेष्ठ॑तमा॒ य एक॑एक आय॒य । प॒र॒मस्याः॑ परा॒वतः॑ ॥ (१)

हे सर्वोत्तम नेताओ! तुम कौन हो? तुम दूरवर्ती आकाश से एक-एक करके आते हो. (१)

Oh, the best leaders! Who are you? You come one by one from the distant sky. (1)
त्वम॑ग्ने॒ वरु॑णो॒ जाय॑से॒ यत्त्वं मि॒त्रो भ॑वसि॒ यत्समि॑द्धः । त्वे विश्वे॑ सहसस्पुत्र दे॒वास्त्वमिन्द्रो॑ दा॒शुषे॒ मर्त्या॑य ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि! तुम उत्पन्न होते ही वरुण, (अंधकार निवारक एवं प्रज्वलित) होकर मित्र (हितकारी) बन जाते हो. सब देवगण तुम्हारे पीछे चलते हैं. हे बल के पुत्र! हव्य देने वाले यजमान के इंद्र तुम्हीं हो. (१)

O agni! As soon as you are born, Varuna, (darkness-relieving and ignited) and become a friend (benefactor). All gods follow you. O son of force! You are the Indra of the host who gives the havya. (1)
स आ ग॑म॒दिन्द्रो॒ यो वसू॑नां॒ चिके॑त॒द्दातुं॒ दाम॑नो रयी॒णाम् । ध॒न्व॒च॒रो न वंस॑गस्तृषा॒णश्च॑कमा॒नः पि॑बतु दु॒ग्धमं॒शुम् ॥ (१)

इंद्र हमारे यज्ञ में आवें. जो इंद्र धनों को जानते हैं, वे कैसे हैं? वे धन देने वाले हैं. धनुर्धारी के समान उत्तम गति वाले एवं अत्यंत प्यासे इंद्र दुग्धमिश्रित सोम पिएं. (१)

Let Indra come into our yajna. Those who know indra dhanas, how are they? They're going to give money. Drink the best-speed and extremely thirsty Indra Dudhmishrita Som like a archer. (1)
सं भा॒नुना॑ यतते॒ सूर्य॑स्या॒जुह्वा॑नो घृ॒तपृ॑ष्ठः॒ स्वञ्चाः॑ । तस्मा॒ अमृ॑ध्रा उ॒षसो॒ व्यु॑च्छा॒न्य इन्द्रा॑य सु॒नवा॒मेत्याह॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सूर्य के तेज के साथ सभी जगह बुलाए जाते हुए अग्नि प्रदीप्त ज्चालाओं के कारण प्रकाशित होने का प्रयत्न करते हैं. उस समय जो यजमान कहता है कि मैं इंद्र के निमित्त सोमरस निचोड़ता हूं. उसके प्रति उषा हिंसापूर्ण नहीं रहती है. (१)

With the brightness of the sun, they try to be illuminated due to the agni-lighted flames while being called all over the place. At the time that the host says that I squeeze somers for the sake of Indra. Usha is not violent towards him. (1)
उ॒रोष्ट॑ इन्द्र॒ राध॑सो वि॒भ्वी रा॒तिः श॑तक्रतो । अधा॑ नो विश्वचर्षणे द्यु॒म्ना सु॑क्षत्र मंहय ॥ (१)

हे शतक्रतु इंद्र! तुम्हारे विशाल धन का दान महान् है. हे सर्वद्रष्टा एवं शोभन धन वाले इंद्र! हमें महान् धन प्रदान करो. (१)

O Sahartu Indra! The donation of your huge wealth is great. O indra with all-seer and shobhan wealth! Give us great money. (1)
त्वाम॑ग्ने॒ वसु॑पतिं॒ वसू॑नाम॒भि प्र म॑न्दे अध्व॒रेषु॑ राजन् । त्वया॒ वाजं॑ वाज॒यन्तो॑ जयेमा॒भि ष्या॑म पृत्सु॒तीर्मर्त्या॑नाम् ॥ (१)

हे संपत्तियों के स्वामी अग्नि! हम तुम्हें लक्ष्य करके यज्ञो में स्तुति करते हैं. हे तेजस्वी अग्नि! हम अन्न के अभिलाषी तुम्हारी कृपा से अन्न प्राप्त करें एवं मानवों की सेना को जीते. (१)

O agni, lord of the properties! We target you and praise you in the yajnas. O glorious agni! May we, the desires of food, receive food by your grace and conquer the army of men. (1)
यदि॑न्द्र चित्र मे॒हनास्ति॒ त्वादा॑तमद्रिवः । राध॒स्तन्नो॑ विदद्वस उभयाह॒स्त्या भ॑र ॥ (१)

हे विचित्र-रूप वाले एवं वज्रधारी इंद्र! तुम्हारे पास देने के लिए विशाल संपत्ति है. हे धन देने वाले इंद्र! वह धन तुम हमें दोनों हाथों से दो. (१)

O strange-looking and thunderbolt-clad Indra! You have huge property to give. O Indra, who gives money! That money you give us with both hands. (1)
ऋ॒तेन॑ ऋ॒तमपि॑हितं ध्रु॒वं वां॒ सूर्य॑स्य॒ यत्र॑ विमु॒चन्त्यश्वा॑न् । दश॑ श॒ता स॒ह त॑स्थु॒स्तदेकं॑ दे॒वानां॒ श्रेष्ठं॒ वपु॑षामपश्यम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम सूर्य के उस मंडल को देखते हैं जो सत्यरूप, जल से आच्छादित एवं शाश्वत है. जहां तुम दोनों की स्थिति है, वहां के घोड़ों को स्तोता मुक्त करता है. वहां एक हजार किरणें रहती हैं एवं वही तेजस्वी देवों में एकमात्र उत्तम है. (१)

We see the circle of the sun that is truly covered with water and eternal. Where you both have the position, there is the horses of the stota free. There are a thousand rays living there and he is the only best among the bright gods. (1)
आ या॒ह्यद्रि॑भिः सु॒तं सोमं॑ सोमपते पिब । वृष॑न्निन्द्र॒ वृष॑भिर्वृत्रहन्तम ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम हमारे यज्ञ में आओ. हे सोमपति इंद्र! पत्थरों से कूटकर निचोड़े गए सोम को पिओ. हे कामवर्षी एवं शत्रुओं के अतिशय हंता इंद्र वर्षाकारी मरुतों के साथ तुम सोमरस पिओ. (१)

हे ऋत्विजो! तुम जातवेद, भली प्रकार प्रज्वलित एवं दीप्तिसंपन्न अग्नि में पर्याप्त घृत द्वारा हवन करो. (१)

Hey Ritvijo! You perform havan by doing the Jataveda, well-lit and in the blazing agni by enough awed. (1)
ऋत॑स्य गोपा॒वधि॑ तिष्ठथो॒ रथं॒ सत्य॑धर्माणा पर॒मे व्यो॑मनि । यमत्र॑ मित्रावरु॒णाव॑थो यु॒वं तस्मै॑ वृ॒ष्टिर्मधु॑मत्पिन्वते दि॒वः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे जल के रक्षक एवं सत्यधर्म से युक्त मित्र एवं वरुण! तुम विस्तृत आकाश में स्थित अपने रथ में बैठते हो. हे मित्र व वरुण! इस यज्ञ में तुम जिस यजमान की रक्षा करते हो, उसके लिए आकाश से मधुर वर्षा होती है. (१)

O protector of water and a friend of truth and Varuna! You sit in your chariot located in the wide sky. Oh my friend and Varun! In this yajna, there is a sweet rain from the sky for the host you protect. (1)
