त्वाम॑ग्ने॒ वसु॑पतिं॒ वसू॑नाम॒भि प्र म॑न्दे अध्व॒रेषु॑ राजन् । त्वया॒ वाजं॑ वाज॒यन्तो॑ जयेमा॒भि ष्या॑म पृत्सु॒तीर्मर्त्या॑नाम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे संपत्तियों के स्वामी अग्नि! हम तुम्हें लक्ष्य करके यज्ञो में स्तुति करते हैं. हे तेजस्वी अग्नि! हम अन्न के अभिलाषी तुम्हारी कृपा से अन्न प्राप्त करें एवं मानवों की सेना को जीते. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni, lord of the properties! We target you and praise you in the yajnas. O glorious agni! May we, the desires of food, receive food by your grace and conquer the army of men. (1)
ह॒व्य॒वाळ॒ग्निर॒जरः॑ पि॒ता नो॑ वि॒भुर्वि॒भावा॑ सु॒दृशी॑को अ॒स्मे । सु॒गा॒र्ह॒प॒त्याः समिषो॑ दिदीह्यस्म॒द्र्य१॒॑क्सं मि॑मीहि॒ श्रवां॑सि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हव्य वहन करने वाले अग्नि जरारहित होकर हमारे पालक बनें एवं हमारे प्रति व्यापक, तेजस्वी एवं दर्शनीय हों. हे अग्नि! शोभन गार्हपत्य से युक्त अन्नों को तुम भली प्रकार प्रदान करो तथा हमें प्रचुर मात्रा में अन्न दो. (२)
EN English Translation
Let the agni-carrying people be our guardians without a little bit and be comprehensive, bright and visible to us. O agni! You provide well to the grains containing shobhan garhapya and give us plenty of food. (2)
वि॒शां क॒विं वि॒श्पतिं॒ मानु॑षीणां॒ शुचिं॑ पाव॒कं घृ॒तपृ॑ष्ठम॒ग्निम् । नि होता॑रं विश्व॒विदं॑ दधिध्वे॒ स दे॒वेषु॑ वनते॒ वार्या॑णि ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ऋत्विजो! तुम मानवी प्रजाओं के स्वामी, मेधावी, पवित्र, दूसरों को पवित्र करने वाले, प्रदीप्त शरीर, होता एवं सर्वज्ञ अग्नि को धारण करो. वे देवों के संगृहीत धन को हम लोगों में बांटते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Hey Ritvijo! You are the masters of the human beings, the bright, the holy, the sanctifying others, the illuminating body, and you must possess the omniscient agni. They distribute the money collected by the gods among us. (3)
जु॒षस्वा॑ग्न॒ इळ॑या स॒जोषा॒ यत॑मानो र॒श्मिभिः॒ सूर्य॑स्य । जु॒षस्व॑ नः स॒मिधं॑ जातवेद॒ आ च॑ दे॒वान्ह॑वि॒रद्या॑य वक्षि ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम धरती के साथ प्रेमयुक्त एवं सूर्यकिरणों के साथ गतियुक्त होकर हमारी स्तुतियां स्वीकार करो. हे जातवेद! हमारे द्वारा दी गई समिधाओं को स्वीकार करो. तुम हव्य- भोजन के निमित्त देवों को बुलाओ एवं हव्यवहन करो. (४)
EN English Translation
O agni! You must accept our praises by loving the earth and moving with the sunshines. O Jathaveda! Accept the committees given by us. You call the gods for the sake of food and do havan. (4)
जुष्टो॒ दमू॑ना॒ अति॑थिर्दुरो॒ण इ॒मं नो॑ य॒ज्ञमुप॑ याहि वि॒द्वान् । विश्वा॑ अग्ने अभि॒युजो॑ वि॒हत्या॑ शत्रूय॒तामा भ॑रा॒ भोज॑नानि ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम महान्, शांतचित्त एवं अतिथि के समान पूज्य बनकर हमारे इस यज्ञ में आओ. हे जानकार अग्नि! तुम सभी शत्रुओं को नष्ट करो एवं शत्रुता करने वालों का धन छीन लो. (५)
EN English Translation
O agni! You come to this yagna of ours as a great, calm and guest-like worshiper. O knowledgeable agni! Destroy all your enemies and take away the wealth of those who are hostile. (5)
व॒धेन॒ दस्युं॒ प्र हि चा॒तय॑स्व॒ वयः॑ कृण्वा॒नस्त॒न्वे॒३॒॑ स्वायै॑ । पिप॑र्षि॒ यत्स॑हसस्पुत्र दे॒वान्त्सो अ॑ग्ने पाहि नृतम॒ वाजे॑ अ॒स्मान् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम यजमान रूपी पुत्रों को अन्न देते हो एवं शत्रुओं का आयुधों द्वारा विनाश करते हो. हे नेताओं में श्रेष्ठ अग्नि! तुम संग्राम में हमारी रक्षा करो. (६)
EN English Translation
O agni! You give food to the sons of hosts and destroy the enemies by the weapons. O the best agni in leaders! You protect us in the battle. (6)
व॒यं ते॑ अग्न उ॒क्थैर्वि॑धेम व॒यं ह॒व्यैः पा॑वक भद्रशोचे । अ॒स्मे र॒यिं वि॒श्ववा॑रं॒ समि॑न्वा॒स्मे विश्वा॑नि॒ द्रवि॑णानि धेहि ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हम लोग स्तोत्र-समूहों एवं हव्य अन्नों द्वारा तुम्हारी सेवा करेंगे. हे पवित्रकर्त्ता तथा कल्याणकारी प्रकाशयुक्त अग्नि! हमें सबके द्वारा चाहा गया धन दो एवं सभी संपत्तियां हमें प्रदान करो. (७)
EN English Translation
O agni! We will serve you through hymn groups and food grains. O Holy One and a agni of good light! Give us the money we want by all and give us all the assets. (7)
अ॒स्माक॑मग्ने अध्व॒रं जु॑षस्व॒ सह॑सः सूनो त्रिषधस्थ ह॒व्यम् । व॒यं दे॒वेषु॑ सु॒कृतः॑ स्याम॒ शर्म॑णा नस्त्रि॒वरू॑थेन पाहि ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हम लोगों के यज्ञ को स्वीकार करो. हे बल के पुत्र एवं तीन स्थानों में रहने वाले अग्नि! तुम हव्य को स्वीकार करो. हम देवों के मध्य रहकर शोभन कर्म करने वाले बनें. तुम तीन प्रकार के उत्तम सुखों द्वारा हमारी रक्षा करो. (८)
EN English Translation
O agni! Let us accept the sacrifice of the people. O son of the force and the agni that dwells in three places! You accept the havya. We should be the doers of adornment by staying among the gods. You protect us by three kinds of exquisite pleasures. (8)
विश्वा॑नि नो दु॒र्गहा॑ जातवेदः॒ सिन्धुं॒ न ना॒वा दु॑रि॒ताति॑ पर्षि । अग्ने॑ अत्रि॒वन्नम॑सा गृणा॒नो॒३॒॑ऽस्माकं॑ बोध्यवि॒ता त॒नूना॑म् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे जातवेद अग्नि! जिस प्रकार नाविक नाव की सहायता से यात्रियों को नदी के पार ले जाता है, उसी प्रकार तुम हमें समस्त पापों के पार पहुंचाओ. हे अग्नि! अत्रि के समान हमारी स्तुतियों को भी स्वीकार करके तुम हमारे शरीर रक्षकरूप में प्रसिद्ध बनो. (९)
EN English Translation
O all knowing Agni! Just as the sailor takes the passengers across the river with the help of a boat, so so you help us overcome all sins. O agni! By accepting our praises like Atri,you become famous as our body protectors. (9)
यस्त्वा॑ हृ॒दा की॒रिणा॒ मन्य॑मा॒नोऽम॑र्त्यं॒ मर्त्यो॒ जोह॑वीमि । जात॑वेदो॒ यशो॑ अ॒स्मासु॑ धेहि प्र॒जाभि॑रग्ने अमृत॒त्वम॑श्याम् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हम मरणशील लोग स्तुतिपूर्ण मन से तुम मरणरहित की स्तुति करते हुए तुम्हें बार-बार बुलाते हैं. हे जातवेद! हमें संतान दो, जिसके अविच्छेद के कारण हम मरणरहित बन सकें. (१०)
EN English Translation
O agni! We mortals call you again and again with a praiseful heart, praising you without dying. O Jathaveda! Give us children, because of whose infidelity we can become deathless. (10)
यस्मै॒ त्वं सु॒कृते॑ जातवेद उ लो॒कम॑ग्ने कृ॒णवः॑ स्यो॒नम् । अ॒श्विनं॒ स पु॒त्रिणं॑ वी॒रव॑न्तं॒ गोम॑न्तं र॒यिं न॑शते स्व॒स्ति ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे जातवेद अग्नि! तुम जिस उत्तम कर्मशील यजमान के प्रति सुखकारी अनुग्रह करते हो, वह अश्व, पुत्र, वीर्य एवं गायों से युक्त होकर नाशहीन धन पाता है. (११)
EN English Translation
O Jativeda Agni! The good working host to whom you do soothing grace, he gets perishable wealth, full of horse, son, semen and cows. (11)
