त्री रो॑च॒ना व॑रुण॒ त्रीँरु॒त द्यून्त्रीणि॑ मित्र धारयथो॒ रजां॑सि । वा॒वृ॒धा॒नाव॒मतिं॑ क्ष॒त्रिय॒स्यानु॑ व्र॒तं रक्ष॑माणावजु॒र्यम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्र व वरुण! तुम चमकते हुए तीन स्वर्गो, तीन अंतरिक्षों एवं तीन भूलोकों को धारण करते हो एवं क्षत्रिय यजमान के रूप तथा कर्म की सदा रक्षा करते हो. (१)
EN English Translation
Oh my friend and Varun! You wear the three shining heavens, the three spaces and the three forgetful ones, and you always protect the form and karma of the Kshatriya host. (1)
इरा॑वतीर्वरुण धे॒नवो॑ वां॒ मधु॑मद्वां॒ सिन्ध॑वो मित्र दुह्रे । त्रय॑स्तस्थुर्वृष॒भास॑स्तिसृ॒णां धि॒षणा॑नां रेतो॒धा वि द्यु॒मन्तः॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्र व वरुण! तुम्हारी आज्ञा से गाएं दुधारू होती हैं एवं नदियां मधुर जल देती हैं. तुम्हारी कृपा से जल बरसाने वाले, जल धारण करने वाले एवं तेजस्वी अग्नि, वायु, आदित्य देव धरती, आकाश एवं स्वर्ग के स्वामी बनते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
Oh my friend and Varun! By your command, the cows are milch and the rivers give sweet water. By your grace, those who rain water, hold water and become the masters of the glorious agni, the air, the aditya god, the earth, the sky and the heaven. (2)
प्रा॒तर्दे॒वीमदि॑तिं जोहवीमि म॒ध्यंदि॑न॒ उदि॑ता॒ सूर्य॑स्य । रा॒ये मि॑त्रावरुणा स॒र्वता॒तेळे॑ तो॒काय॒ तन॑याय॒ शं योः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम ऋषि प्रातःकाल एवं माध्यंदिन यज्ञ के समय अदितिदेवी को बार-बार बुलाते हैं. हे मित्र व वरुण! हम धन, पुत्र-पौत्र, सुख एवं शांति के लिए तुम दोनों की स्तुति करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
We call Aditidevi repeatedly in the morning and at the time of the Midnight Yajna. Oh my friend and Varun! We praise both of you for wealth, sons and grandsons, happiness and peace. (3)
या ध॒र्तारा॒ रज॑सो रोच॒नस्यो॒तादि॒त्या दि॒व्या पार्थि॑वस्य । न वां॑ दे॒वा अ॒मृता॒ आ मि॑नन्ति व्र॒तानि॑ मित्रावरुणा ध्रु॒वाणि॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दिव्य, अदितिपुत्र एवं स्वर्ग तथा भूलोक को धारण करने वाले मित्र व वरुण! हम तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. तुम्हारे ध्रुवकार्यों को मरणरहित इंद्र आदि देव भी नष्ट नहीं कर सकते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O divine, the son of Aditi and the friends of heaven and bhoolka and Varuna! We praise you. Even indra etc. dev, without death, cannot destroy your polemical works. (4)
