पु॒रू॒रुणा॑ चि॒द्ध्यस्त्यवो॑ नू॒नं वां॑ वरुण । मित्र॒ वंसि॑ वां सुम॒तिम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्र व वरुण! तुम दोनों का रक्षा कार्य निश्चय ही सबसे अधिक विशाल है. हम तुम्हारी सुमति प्राप्त करें. (१)
EN English Translation
Oh my friend and Varun! The defense work of both of you is certainly the most massive. We get your consent. (1)
ता वां॑ स॒म्यग॑द्रुह्वा॒णेष॑मश्याम॒ धाय॑से । व॒यं ते रु॑द्रा स्याम ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे द्रोहरहित एवं दुःख से बचाने वाले मित्र व वरुण! हम तुम्हारे स्तोता भोजन हेतु अन्न प्राप्त करें एवं संपन्न बनें. (२)
EN English Translation
O friend and Varun, who is without hatred and save from sorrow! Let us get food for your satota food and be prosperous. (2)
पा॒तं नो॑ रुद्रा पा॒युभि॑रु॒त त्रा॑येथां सुत्रा॒त्रा । तु॒र्याम॒ दस्यू॑न्त॒नूभिः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दुःख से बचाने वाले मित्र व वरुण! तुम अपने रक्षा साधनों द्वारा हमारी रक्षा करो तथा अपनी पालनशक्ति द्वारा हमारा पालन करो. हम अपने पुत्रों की सहायता से शत्रुओं को समाप्त करें. (३)
EN English Translation
O friend of the people who save from grief and Varun! Protect us by your means of protection and follow us by your adherence. Let us eliminate our enemies with the help of our sons. (3)
मा कस्या॑द्भुतक्रतू य॒क्षं भु॑जेमा त॒नूभिः॑ । मा शेष॑सा॒ मा तन॑सा ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अदभुत कर्म करने वाले मित्र व वरुण! हम किसी के पवित्र धन का भी उपभोग न करें. तुम्हारी कृपा से हम स्वयं एवं हमारे पुत्र-पौत्र अन्य के धन पर न पलें. (४)
EN English Translation
This wonderful friend and Varun! We should not consume anyone's holy wealth. By your grace, let us not bring ourselves and our sons and grandsons to the wealth of others. (4)
