प्र नु वो॑चा सु॒तेषु॑ वां वी॒र्या॒३॒॑ यानि॑ च॒क्रथुः॑ । ह॒तासो॑ वां पि॒तरो॑ दे॒वश॑त्रव॒ इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ जीव॑थो यु॒वम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं अग्नि! सोमरस निचुड़ जाने पर हम तुम्हारे उन वीरतापूर्ण कार्यो का वर्णन करते हैं, जो तुमने समय-समय पर किए हैं. देवों के शत्रु मारे गए और तुम दोनों जीवित हो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! When you go to Someras, we describe the heroic deeds you have done from time to time. The enemies of the gods have been killed and you are both alive. (1)
बळि॒त्था म॑हि॒मा वा॒मिन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ पनि॑ष्ठ॒ आ । स॒मा॒नो वां॑ जनि॒ता भ्रात॑रा यु॒वं य॒मावि॒हेह॑मातरा ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं अग्नि! तुम्हारे जन्म की महिमा सच्ची एवं प्रशंसनीय है. तुम दोनों के एक पिता हैं. तुम दोनों जुड़वां भाई हो. विस्तीर्ण धरती तुम्हारी माता है. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! The glory of your birth is true and praiseworthy. You're both a father. You're both twin brothers. The vast earth is your mother. (2)
ओ॒कि॒वांसा॑ सु॒ते सचा॒ँ अश्वा॒ सप्ती॑ इ॒वाद॑ने । इन्द्रा॒ न्व१॒॑ग्नी अव॑से॒ह व॒ज्रिणा॑ व॒यं दे॒वा ह॑वामहे ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं अग्नि! जैसे घोड़ों का जोड़ा एक साथ घास की ओर जाता है, उसी प्रकार तुम दोनों निचुड़े हुए सोमरस की ओर गमन करते हो. हम अपनी रक्षा के निमित्त वज्रधारी एवं दानादि गुणों वाले तुम दोनों को बुलाते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! Just as a pair of horses move together towards the grass, so you both walk towards the unruly Somras. We call upon you both with vajradhari and danadi qualities for our protection. (3)
य इ॑न्द्राग्नी सु॒तेषु॑ वां॒ स्तव॒त्तेष्वृ॑तावृधा । जो॒ष॒वा॒कं वद॑तः पज्रहोषिणा॒ न दे॑वा भ॒सथ॑श्च॒न ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यज्ञ की वृद्धि करने वाले इंद्र एवं अग्नि! तुम्हारा स्तोत्र प्रसिद्ध है. जो यजमान सोमरस निचुड़ जाने पर प्रीतिरहित शब्दों से तुम्हारी बुरी स्तुति करता है उसका सोमरस तुम कभी नहीं स्वीकार करते. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni who increase the yajna! Your stotra is famous. You never accept the Somras of the host who praises you badly with unloved words when the host somers are gone. (4)
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ को अ॒स्य वां॒ देवौ॒ मर्त॑श्चिकेतति । विषू॑चो॒ अश्वा॑न्युयुजा॒न ई॑यत॒ एकः॑ समा॒न आ रथे॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! एवं अग्नि! जब तुम में से एक इंद्र भांति-भांति से चलने वाले घोड़ों को रथ में जोड़कर अग्नि के साथ एक रथ में बैठकर जाता है तो कौन मनुष्य इस कार्य को जान सकता है? अर्थात् कोई नहीं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! And the agni! When one of you Indra joins the horses that run in the chariot and sits in a chariot with agni, which man can know this work? i.e. none. (5)
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी अ॒पादि॒यं पूर्वागा॑त्प॒द्वती॑भ्यः । हि॒त्वी शिरो॑ जि॒ह्वया॒ वाव॑द॒च्चर॑त्त्रिं॒शत्प॒दा न्य॑क्रमीत् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं अग्नि! यह बिना चरणों वाली उषा चरणों वाली प्रजाओं से पहले धरती पर आती है. यह बिना शीश की होकर भी प्राणियों की वाणी से बहुत से शब्द करती हुई घूमती है. इस प्रकार यह तीस कदम आगे बढ़ गई है. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! It comes to earth before the unsused usha-footed species. It moves around without a mirror, saying many words from the voice of beings. Thus it has gone thirty steps further. (6)
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ आ हि त॑न्व॒ते नरो॒ धन्वा॑नि बा॒ह्वोः । मा नो॑ अ॒स्मिन्म॑हाध॒ने परा॑ वर्क्तं॒ गवि॑ष्टिषु ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं अग्नि! युद्ध करने वाले लोग हाथों में धनुष फैलाते हैं. गायों को ढूंढने से संबंधित महान् युद्ध में तुम दोनों हमें छोड़ना नहीं. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! People who fight spread the bow in their hands. In the great war related to finding cows, both of you do not leave us. (7)
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ तप॑न्ति मा॒घा अ॒र्यो अरा॑तयः । अप॒ द्वेषां॒स्या कृ॑तं युयु॒तं सूर्या॒दधि॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं अग्नि! वार करने को तैयार एवं आक्रमणकारी शत्रुसेना हमें दुःखी कर रही है. उन्हें तुम दूर भगाओ एवं सूर्य का दर्शन भी मत करने दो. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! The enemy army, which is ready to strike and is hurting us. Drive them away and don't let them see the sun. (8)
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी यु॒वोरपि॒ वसु॑ दि॒व्यानि॒ पार्थि॑वा । आ न॑ इ॒ह प्र य॑च्छतं र॒यिं वि॒श्वायु॑पोषसम् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं अग्नि! दिव्य और पार्थिव दोनों प्रकार के धन तुम्हारे ही हैं. इस यज्ञ में हमें संपूर्ण आयु को पुष्ट करने वाला धन दो. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni! Both divine and earthly wealth are yours. In this yajna, give us the money that will confirm the whole age. (9)
इन्द्रा॑ग्नी उक्थवाहसा॒ स्तोमे॑भिर्हवनश्रुता । विश्वा॑भिर्गी॒र्भिरा ग॑तम॒स्य सोम॑स्य पी॒तये॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तुतियां सुनकर आने वाले एवं स्तुतिमंत्रों से युक्त सुनने वाले इंद्र एवं अग्नि! हमारी स्तुतियों से प्रसन्न होकर इस सोमरस को पीने के लिए आओ. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Agni who hear the praises and hear the praises! Please come to drink this somras, pleased with our praises. (10)
