प्रा॒तर॒ग्निं प्रा॒तरिन्द्रं॑ हवामहे प्रा॒तर्मि॒त्रावरु॑णा प्रा॒तर॒श्विना॑ । प्रा॒तर्भगं॑ पू॒षणं॒ ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पतिं॑ प्रा॒तः सोम॑मु॒त रु॒द्रं हु॑वेम ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम स्तोता अग्नि, इंद्र, मित्र, वरुण एवं अश्विनीकुमारों को प्रातःकाल बुलाते हैं. हम प्रातःकाल भग, पूषा, ब्रह्मणस्पति, सोम एवं रुद्र का आह्वान करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
We call Stota Agni, Indra, Mitra, Varuna and Ashwinikumars in the morning. We invoke Bhaga, Pusha, Brahmanaspati, Soma and Rudra in the morning. (1)
प्रा॒त॒र्जितं॒ भग॑मु॒ग्रं हु॑वेम व॒यं पु॒त्रमदि॑ते॒र्यो वि॑ध॒र्ता । आ॒ध्रश्चि॒द्यं मन्य॑मानस्तु॒रश्चि॒द्राजा॑ चि॒द्यं भगं॑ भ॒क्षीत्याह॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो विश्व के धारक, जयशील, उग्र एवं अदितिपुत्र हैं, हम प्रातःकाल उन्हीं भगदेव को बुलाते हैं. दरिद्र स्तोता एवं धनसंपन्न राजा दोनों ही भगदेव की स्तुति करते हुए कहते हैं —“हमें भोग के योग्य धन दो.” (२)
EN English Translation
Those who are the holders of the world, jayasheel, raging and aditiputra, we call the same Bhagdev in the morning. Both the poor stota and the wealthy king praise God, saying, "Give us riches worthy of enjoyment." (2)
भग॒ प्रणे॑त॒र्भग॒ सत्य॑राधो॒ भगे॒मां धिय॒मुद॑वा॒ दद॑न्नः । भग॒ प्र णो॑ जनय॒ गोभि॒रश्वै॒र्भग॒ प्र नृभि॑र्नृ॒वन्तः॑ स्याम ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे भग! तुम उत्तम नेता एवं सत्यधन हो. हमें अभिलषित धन देकर हमारी स्तुति सफल करो. हे भग! हमें गायों एवं घोड़ों द्वारा उन्नत बनाओ. हे भग! हम पुत्रादि द्वारा मनुष्यों वाले हों. (३)
EN English Translation
Oh, God! You are a great leader and a true man. Make our praise successful by giving us the money we desire. Oh, God! Make us advanced by cows and horses. Oh, God! We are human beings by son. (3)
उ॒तेदानीं॒ भग॑वन्तः स्यामो॒त प्र॑पि॒त्व उ॒त मध्ये॒ अह्ना॑म् । उ॒तोदि॑ता मघव॒न्सूर्य॑स्य व॒यं दे॒वानां॑ सुम॒तौ स्या॑म ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे भगदेव! हम इस समय एवं दिन का मध्य प्राप्त होने पर धनी बनें. हे धनस्वामी भग! हम सूर्योदय के समय देवों की कृपा प्राप्त करें. (४)
EN English Translation
O God! Let's get rich when we get the middle of this time and the day. O rich god! We receive the grace of the gods at sunrise. (4)
भग॑ ए॒व भग॑वाँ अस्तु देवा॒स्तेन॑ व॒यं भग॑वन्तः स्याम । तं त्वा॑ भग॒ सर्व॒ इज्जो॑हवीति॒ स नो॑ भग पुरए॒ता भ॑वे॒ह ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देवो! भग ही धनवान् हों. उसी धन से हम भी धनवान् हों. हे भग! सब लोग तुम्हें बार-बार बुलाते हैं. इस यज्ञ में तुम हमारे अनुगामी बनो. (५)
EN English Translation
Oh, God! Let the clitoris be rich. With that money, we are rich too. Oh, God! Everyone calls you again and again. In this yajna you become our followers. (5)
सम॑ध्व॒रायो॒षसो॑ नमन्त दधि॒क्रावे॑व॒ शुच॑ये प॒दाय॑ । अ॒र्वा॒ची॒नं व॑सु॒विदं॒ भगं॑ नो॒ रथ॑मि॒वाश्वा॑ वा॒जिन॒ आ व॑हन्तु ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
घोड़ा जिस प्रकार चलने योग्य मार्ग पर जाता है, उसी प्रकार उषा देवी हमारे यज्ञ में आवें. तेज चलने वाले घोड़े जैसे रथ को लाते हैं, उसी प्रकार उषा भग को हमारे सामने लावें. (६)
EN English Translation
Just as the horse goes on a walkable path, so may Usha Devi come to our yagna. Like the fast-moving horses bring the chariot, so should usha bhaga be brought before us. (6)
अश्वा॑वती॒र्गोम॑तीर्न उ॒षासो॑ वी॒रव॑तीः॒ सद॑मुच्छन्तु भ॒द्राः । घृ॒तं दुहा॑ना वि॒श्वतः॒ प्रपी॑ता यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
भद्रा, अश्चों, गायों एवं पुत्रादि जन से युक्त जल बरसाती हुई तथा सभी गुणों वाली उषा हमारा रात का अंधकार मिटावें. हे देवो! तुम कल्याणसाधनों द्वारा हमारी सदा रक्षा करो. (७)
EN English Translation
Water with bhadra, ashs, cows and sonadis was showered and usha of all qualities should remove the darkness of our night. Oh, God! You always protect us by means of welfare. (7)
