प्र क्षोद॑सा॒ धाय॑सा सस्र ए॒षा सर॑स्वती ध॒रुण॒माय॑सी॒ पूः । प्र॒बाब॑धाना र॒थ्ये॑व याति॒ विश्वा॑ अ॒पो म॑हि॒ना सिन्धु॑र॒न्याः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह सरस्वती नदी लोहे के द्वारा बनी नगरी के समान सबको धारण करती हुई प्राणघातक जल के साथ बहती है. जिस प्रकार सारथि सबको पीछे छोड़कर आगे निकल जाता है, उसी प्रकार यह अपनी महिमा द्वारा सब जलपूर्ण नदियों को बाधा देकर आगे बढ़ती है. (१)
EN English Translation
This river Saraswati flows with deadly water holding everyone like a city made of iron. Just as the Charioteer leaves everyone behind and goes ahead, so it moves forward by hindering all the water-filled rivers by its glory. (1)
अ॒यं सोम॑ इन्द्र॒ तुभ्यं॑ सुन्व॒ आ तु प्र या॑हि हरिव॒स्तदो॑काः । पिबा॒ त्व१॒॑स्य सुषु॑तस्य॒ चारो॒र्ददो॑ म॒घानि॑ मघवन्निया॒नः ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! यह सोम तुम्हारे लिए निचोड़ा गया है. हे हरि नामक अश्चों वाले इंद्र! उसे सेवन करने हेतु शीघ्र आओ. भली प्रकार निचोड़े गए इस सुंदर सोमरस को पिओ. हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! हमारी याचना सुनकर हमें धन दो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! This mon has been squeezed for you. O Indra with tears called Hari! Come quickly to consume it. Drink this beautiful somras well squeezed. O Dhanaswami Indra! Give us money by listening to our supplication. (1)
यद॒द्य सू॑र्य॒ ब्रवोऽना॑गा उ॒द्यन्मि॒त्राय॒ वरु॑णाय स॒त्यम् । व॒यं दे॑व॒त्रादि॑ते स्याम॒ तव॑ प्रि॒यासो॑ अर्यमन्गृ॒णन्तः॑ ॥ (१)

हे सूर्य देव! आज उदय होते हुए तुम यदि हमें सब देवों के मध्य पापरहित कहो तो हे दीनतारहित सूर्य! हम मित्र व वरुण के लिए वास्तव में निष्पाप हो जाएंगे. हे अर्यमा! हम तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हुए सबके प्रिय हों. (१)
EN English Translation
O Sun God! Today, as you rise, if you call us sinless among all gods, o sun without humbleness! We will be really useless to the friend and Varun. O Aryama! May we praise you and be dear to all. (1)
आ नो॑ देव॒ शव॑सा याहि शुष्मि॒न्भवा॑ वृ॒ध इ॑न्द्र रा॒यो अ॒स्य । म॒हे नृ॒म्णाय॑ नृपते सुवज्र॒ महि॑ क्ष॒त्राय॒ पौंस्या॑य शूर ॥ (१)

हे शक्तिशाली इंद्र देव! तुम अपनी शक्ति द्वारा हमारे पास आओ एवं हमारे धन के बढ़ाने वाले बनो. हे नृपति, शोभनवज्र वाले एवं शूर इंद्र! तुम महान् बली एवं शन्रुनाशक बनो. (१)
EN English Translation
O mighty Indra Dev! You come to us by your power and become the enhancer of our wealth. O Nripati, Shobhanavajra wale and Shur Indra! You become a great sacrifice and a destroyer. (1)
बृ॒हदु॑ गायिषे॒ वचो॑ऽसु॒र्या॑ न॒दीना॑म् । सर॑स्वती॒मिन्म॑हया सुवृ॒क्तिभिः॒ स्तोमै॑र्वसिष्ठ॒ रोद॑सी ॥ (१)

हे वसिष्ठ! तुम नदियों में सर्वाधिक शक्तिशालिनी सरस्वती के लिए स्तोत्र का गान करो एवं द्यावा-पृथिवी में स्थित सरस्वती की पूजा दोषहीन स्तोत्रों द्वारा करो. (१)

O Vasishtha! You sing hymns for saraswati, the most powerful in the rivers, and worship saraswati located in dyava-prithivi through doshaless hymns. (1)
प्र व॒ इन्द्रा॑य॒ माद॑नं॒ हर्य॑श्वाय गायत । सखा॑यः सोम॒पाव्ने॑ ॥ (१)

हे मित्रो! तुम हरि नामक अश्चों वाले एवं सोमरस पीने वाले इंद्र को प्रसन्न करने वाली स्तुतियां गाओ. (१)

Oh, my friends! You sing praises that please Indra, who is named Hari and who drinks somras. (1)
य॒ज्ञे दि॒वो नृ॒षद॑ने पृथि॒व्या नरो॒ यत्र॑ देव॒यवो॒ मद॑न्ति । इन्द्रा॑य॒ यत्र॒ सव॑नानि सु॒न्वे गम॒न्मदा॑य प्रथ॒मं वय॑श्च ॥ (१)

जिस यज्ञ में देवों की कामना करने वाले ऋत्विज् प्रसन्न होते हैं, जिस यज्ञ में धरती के नेता इंद्र के निमित्त हर बार सोमरस निचोड़ते है, इंद्र प्रसन्रता पाने के लिए उसी यज्ञ में स्वर्ग से सर्वप्रथम आवें एवं उनके घोड़े भी आवें. (१)
EN English Translation
In the yajna in which the devotees who wish for the gods are pleased, in which the leader of the earth squeezes somras every time for the sake of Indra, Indra should come first from heaven and his horses should also come in the same yajna to get the pleasure. (1)
अ॒ग्निं नरो॒ दीधि॑तिभिर॒रण्यो॒र्हस्त॑च्युती जनयन्त प्रश॒स्तम् । दू॒रे॒दृशं॑ गृ॒हप॑तिमथ॒र्युम् ॥ (१)

यज्ञ के नेता ऋत्विज् प्रशंसायोग्य, दूर से दिखाई देने वाले, गृहपति एवं गतिशील अग्नि को हाथों की गति एवं उंगलियों की सहायता से अरणि से उत्पन्न करते हैं. (१)

The leader of the yajna, the Ritvija, produces praiseworthy, distant, grihapati and dynamic agni from the forest with the help of hands and fingers. (1)
उद्वां॒ चक्षु॑र्वरुण सु॒प्रती॑कं दे॒वयो॑रेति॒ सूर्य॑स्तत॒न्वान् । अ॒भि यो विश्वा॒ भुव॑नानि॒ चष्टे॒ स म॒न्युं मर्त्ये॒ष्वा चि॑केत ॥ (१)

हे द्योतमान मित्र व वरुण! तुम्हारे चक्षु रूप एवं सौंदर्ययुक्त तेज का विस्तार करते हुए उदय होते हैं. जो सूर्य सारे लोकों को देखते हैं, वे मनुष्यों की स्तुतियों को भली प्रकार जानते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O friend and Varun! Your eyes rise, expanding the appearance and aesthetic brightness. The sun that sees all the realms knows the praises of men very well. (1)
अध्व॑र्यवोऽरु॒णं दु॒ग्धमं॒शुं जु॒होत॑न वृष॒भाय॑ क्षिती॒नाम् । गौ॒राद्वेदी॑याँ अव॒पान॒मिन्द्रो॑ वि॒श्वाहेद्या॑ति सु॒तसो॑ममि॒च्छन् ॥ (१)

हे अध्वर्यु लोगो! मानवों में श्रेष्ठ इंद्र के लिए रुचिकर एवं निचोड़े हुए सोमरस को भेंट करो. गौरमृग दूरस्थित जल को जानकर जिस तेजी से आता है, इंद्र पीने योग्य सोम का ज्ञान होने पर सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले यजमान को खोजते हुए उससे भी तेजी से आते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O adhwaryu logo! Offer the interesting and squeezed somers to Indra, the best of human beings. The speed at which the gourmer comes to know the remoted water, Indra comes even faster than the one who finds the host who squeezes the somras when they have the knowledge of the potable Som. (1)
मो षु त्वा॑ वा॒घत॑श्च॒नारे अ॒स्मन्नि री॑रमन् । आ॒रात्ता॑च्चित्सध॒मादं॑ न॒ आ ग॑ही॒ह वा॒ सन्नुप॑ श्रुधि ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! हमसे दूरवर्ती यजमान तुम्हें पाकर प्रसन्न न हों. इसलिए तुम दूर से भी हमारे यज्ञ में आओ एवं हमारी स्तुति सुनो. (१)

O Indra! Don't let the hosts far away from us be pleased to find you. So come to our yajna from afar and listen to our praise. (1)
उत्सूर्यो॑ बृ॒हद॒र्चींष्य॑श्रेत्पु॒रु विश्वा॒ जनि॑म॒ मानु॑षाणाम् । स॒मो दि॒वा द॑दृशे॒ रोच॑मानः॒ क्रत्वा॑ कृ॒तः सुकृ॑तः क॒र्तृभि॑र्भूत् ॥ (१)

सूर्य ऊपर की ओर उठते हुए विस्तृत एवं अधिक तेज का आश्रय लें एवं मानवों के सभी समूहों को सहारा दें. वे दिन में चमकते हुए समान दिखाई देते हैं. वे प्रजापति द्वारा की गई स्तुतियां सुनकर तीव्र बनें. (१)
EN English Translation
As the sun rises upwards, take shelter for wider and faster and support all groups of human beings. They look similar to the glittering day in. They should be intense by listening to the praises made by the Prajapati. (1)
उद्वे॑ति सु॒भगो॑ वि॒श्वच॑क्षाः॒ साधा॑रणः॒ सूर्यो॒ मानु॑षाणाम् । चक्षु॑र्मि॒त्रस्य॒ वरु॑णस्य दे॒वश्चर्मे॑व॒ यः स॒मवि॑व्य॒क्तमां॑सि ॥ (१)

शोभनभाग्य वाले, सब मनुष्यों के प्रति समान, मित्र एवं वरुण के चक्षु के समान एवं दीप्तिशाली सूर्य उदित हो रहे हैं. वे चमड़े के समान अंधकार को लपेटते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
The bright sun is rising, like the eyes of friends and Varuna, equal to all human beings, with good fortune, and like the eyes of Varuna. They wrap up the darkness like leather. (1)
प॒रो मात्र॑या त॒न्वा॑ वृधान॒ न ते॑ महि॒त्वमन्व॑श्नुवन्ति । उ॒भे ते॑ विद्म॒ रज॑सी पृथि॒व्या विष्णो॑ देव॒ त्वं प॑र॒मस्य॑ वित्से ॥ (१)

हे विष्णु! शब्द, स्पर्श आदि पंचतन्मात्राओं से अतीत तुम्हारा शरीर जब वामन अवतार के समय बढ़ता है, तब तुम्हारी महिमा कोई नहीं जान सकता. हम तुम्हारे दो लोकों अर्थात् धरती एवं अंतरिक्ष को जानते हैं, पर परम लोक को तुम ही जानते हो. (१)

O Vishnu! When your body grows at the time of vamana avatar, no one can know your glory when your body grows at the time of vamana avatar, then no one can know your glory. We know your two realms, the earth and space, but you know the ultimate people. (1)
दि॒वि क्षय॑न्ता॒ रज॑सः पृथि॒व्यां प्र वां॑ घृ॒तस्य॑ नि॒र्णिजो॑ ददीरन् । ह॒व्यं नो॑ मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा सुजा॑तो॒ राजा॑ सुक्ष॒त्रो वरु॑णो जुषन्त ॥ (१)

हे मित्र व वरुण! तुम अंतरिक्ष एवं पृथ्वी में व्याप्त जल के स्वामी हो. तुम्हारी प्रेरणा से मेघ जल को रूप देता है. हमारे हव्य को मित्र, शोभनजन्म वाले अर्यमा, राजा एवं शोभनशक्ति वाले वरुण स्वीकार करें. (१)

Oh my friend and Varun! You are the master of space and the water in the earth. Cloud from your inspiration gives form to water. Accept our heart as friends, Aryama with Shobhanjanam, Raja and Varun with Shobhan shakti. (1)
नू मर्तो॑ दयते सनि॒ष्यन्यो विष्ण॑व उरुगा॒याय॒ दाश॑त् । प्र यः स॒त्राचा॒ मन॑सा॒ यजा॑त ए॒ताव॑न्तं॒ नर्य॑मा॒विवा॑सात् ॥ (१)

जो मनुष्य बहुत से लोगों द्वारा प्रशंसायोग्य विष्णु को हव्य देता है, एक साथ बहुत से मंत्र बोलकर पूजा करता है एवं मानवहितकारी विष्णु की सेवा करता है, वह मनुष्य अपने इच्छित धन को शीघ्र प्राप्त करता है. (१)

The man who gives a greeting to Vishnu, who is praised by many people, worships by speaking many mantras at the same time and serves the man-benevolent Vishnu, that man gets his desired wealth quickly. (1)
जु॒षस्व॑ नः स॒मिध॑मग्ने अ॒द्य शोचा॑ बृ॒हद्य॑ज॒तं धू॒ममृ॒ण्वन् । उप॑ स्पृश दि॒व्यं सानु॒ स्तूपैः॒ सं र॒श्मिभि॑स्ततनः॒ सूर्य॑स्य ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि! आज हमारी समिधा को स्वीकार करो. यज्ञ के योग्य एवं प्रशंसनीय धुआं उठाते हुए जलों एवं अपनी गर्म लपटों से ऊंचे आकाश को छुओ. तुम सूर्य से मिल जाओ. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! Accept our committee today. Touch the sky high with the waters and your warm flames, lifting the worthy and admirable smoke of the yajna. You meet the sun. (1)
प्रति॑ वां॒ सूर॒ उदि॑ते सू॒क्तैर्मि॒त्रं हु॑वे॒ वरु॑णं पू॒तद॑क्षम् । ययो॑रसु॒र्य१॒॑मक्षि॑तं॒ ज्येष्ठं॒ विश्व॑स्य॒ याम॑न्ना॒चिता॑ जिग॒त्नु ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सूर्य निकल आने पर मैं उसे एवं पवित्र शक्ति वाले वरुण को बुलाता हूं. इनका बल क्षीण न होने वाला एवं अधिक है. ये संग्राम में सभी शत्रुओं को जीतते हैं. (१)

When the sun comes out, I call him and the holy-spirited Varuna. Their strength is not diminishing and is high. They conquer all enemies in the war. (1)
ति॒स्रो वाचः॒ प्र व॑द॒ ज्योति॑रग्रा॒ या ए॒तद्दु॒ह्रे म॑धुदो॒घमूधः॑ । स व॒त्सं कृ॒ण्वन्गर्भ॒मोष॑धीनां स॒द्यो जा॒तो वृ॑ष॒भो रो॑रवीति ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ऋषि! उन्हीं तीन वचनों को बोलो, जिनके अग्र भाग में ओम है एवं जो जल का दोहन करते हैं. पर्जन्य अपने साथ रहने वाली बिजलीरूपी अग्नि को उत्पन्न करते हैं एवं ओषधियों में गर्भ धारण करते हैं. वे शीघ्र उत्पन्न होकर बैल के समान बार-बार शब्द करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O sage! Speak the same three words, which have Om in their front and those who harness water. The parasites produce the electric agni that lives with them and conceive in the herbs. They are quick to arise and say words over and over again like bulls. (1)
प्र मि॒त्रयो॒र्वरु॑णयोः॒ स्तोमो॑ न एतु शू॒ष्यः॑ । नम॑स्वान्तुविजा॒तयोः॑ ॥ (१)

बार-बार प्रादुर्भूत होने वाले मित्र एवं वरुण का सुखदाता तथा अन्नयुक्त स्तोत्र उनके समीप जावे. (१)

Go to him a happy and grained hymn of a friend and Varuna who is repeatedly born. (1)
अ॒ग्निं वो॑ दे॒वम॒ग्निभिः॑ स॒जोषा॒ यजि॑ष्ठं दू॒तम॑ध्व॒रे कृ॑णुध्वम् । यो मर्त्ये॑षु॒ निध्रु॑विरृ॒तावा॒ तपु॑र्मूर्धा घृ॒तान्नः॑ पाव॒कः ॥ (१)

हे देवो! तुम अन्य अग्नियों के साथ प्रकाशित एवं अतिशय यज्ञपात्र उन अग्नि देव को यज्ञों में देवों का दूत बनाओ, जो मनुष्यों में अधिक स्थिर, यज्ञयुक्त, तापसहित तेज वाले, घृतयुक्त अन्न वाले व शुद्धिकर्ता हैं. (१)

Oh, God! You, along with other agnis, make those agni gods, illuminated and over-the-ageing, the messengers of the gods in the yagnas, who are more stable in human beings, sacrificial, fast-natured, with abrasive food and purifier. (1)
प॒र्जन्या॑य॒ प्र गा॑यत दि॒वस्पु॒त्राय॑ मी॒ळ्हुषे॑ । स नो॒ यव॑समिच्छतु ॥ (१)

हे स्तोताओ! अंतरिक्ष के पुत्र एवं सेचन करने वाले पर्जन्य के लिए स्तुतियां गाओ. (१)

This stotao! Sing praises to the son of space and the saintly soul. (1)
श्वि॒त्यञ्चो॑ मा दक्षिण॒तस्क॑पर्दा धियंजि॒न्वासो॑ अ॒भि हि प्र॑म॒न्दुः । उ॒त्तिष्ठ॑न्वोचे॒ परि॑ ब॒र्हिषो॒ नॄन्न मे॑ दू॒रादवि॑तवे॒ वसि॑ष्ठाः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
गोरे रंग वाले, यज्ञकर्म पूर्ण करने वाले एवं शिर के दक्षिण भाग में चोटी रखने वाले वसिष्ठपुत्र मुझे प्रसन्न करते हैं. मैं यज्ञ से उठता हुआ उनसे कहता हूं कि हे वसिष्ठपुत्रो! मुझसे दूर मत जाओ. (१)
EN English Translation
Vasishtaputra, who is white in colour, who completes the yagnakarmas and has a peak in the southern part of the head, pleases me. I get up from the yajna and say to them, 'O Vasishtaputra! Don't go away from me. (1)
सं॒व॒त्स॒रं श॑शया॒ना ब्रा॑ह्म॒णा व्र॑तचा॒रिणः॑ । वाचं॑ प॒र्जन्य॑जिन्वितां॒ प्र म॒ण्डूका॑ अवादिषुः ॥ (१)

मेंढक व्रत करने वाले स्तोता की तरह एक वर्ष तक सोने के बाद बादलों के प्रति प्रसन्रताकारक वाणी बोलते हैं. (१)

Frogs speak a pleasing voice to the clouds after sleeping for a year like a hymn. (1)
प्र वः॑ शु॒क्राय॑ भा॒नवे॑ भरध्वं ह॒व्यं म॒तिं चा॒ग्नये॒ सुपू॑तम् । यो दैव्या॑नि॒ मानु॑षा ज॒नूंष्य॒न्तर्विश्वा॑नि वि॒द्मना॒ जिगा॑ति ॥ (१)

हे हव्यवहन करने वाले लोगो! तुम शुभ एवं दीप्ति के लिए शुद्ध हव्य एवं स्तुति समर्पित करो. अग्नि देवों तथा मानवों से उत्पन्न सभी पदार्थो के मध्य अपनी बुद्धि द्वारा चलते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O people who are behaving! Devote pure greetings and praises to the auspicious and the glory. Fire moves by its intellect between all the substances produced by gods and human beings. (1)
इन्द्रा॑सोमा॒ तप॑तं॒ रक्ष॑ उ॒ब्जतं॒ न्य॑र्पयतं वृषणा तमो॒वृधः॑ । परा॑ शृणीतम॒चितो॒ न्यो॑षतं ह॒तं नु॒देथां॒ नि शि॑शीतम॒त्रिणः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र तथा सोम! तुम राक्षसों को कष्ट दो तथा उनको नष्ट करो. हे अभिलाषापूरको! तुम अंधकार में बढ़ने वाले राक्षसों को नीचे गिराओ. तुम अज्ञानी राक्षसों को परांगमुख करके नष्ट करो, जलाओ, मारो, फेंक दो एवं मनुष्यभक्षी राक्षसों को घायल करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Som! You torment the demons and destroy them. That's all you want! You bring down the monsters growing in darkness. You destroy the ignorant demons, burn them, kill them, throw them away, and injure the man-eating monsters. (1)
प्र शु॒क्रैतु॑ दे॒वी म॑नी॒षा अ॒स्मत्सुत॑ष्टो॒ रथो॒ न वा॒जी ॥ (१)

दीप्त व सब अभिलाषाओं को देने वाली स्तुति वेगशाली एवं सुसंस्कृत रथ के समान हमारे पास से देवों के पास जावे. (१)

हे ऋत्विज् व यजमानरूपी मनुष्यों के स्वामी अश्चिनीकुमारो! हम हव्य एवं स्तोत्र लेकर तुम्हारे रथ की स्तुति करने जाते हैं. हे स्तुतियोग्य अश्विनीकुमारो! जैसे पुत्र पिता को जगाता है, उसी प्रकार दूतरूप में जगाने वाले तुम्हारे रथ को अपने सामने आने के लिए मैं स्तुति करता हूं. (१)

O Aschinikumaro, lord of the host of men! We go with a greeting and hymn to praise your chariot. O praiseworthy Ashwinikumaro! Just as the Son awakens the Father, so I praise your chariot that awakens in the form of a messenger to come before me. (1)
प्राग्नये॑ त॒वसे॑ भरध्वं॒ गिरं॑ दि॒वो अ॑र॒तये॑ पृथि॒व्याः । यो विश्वे॑षाम॒मृता॑नामु॒पस्थे॑ वैश्वान॒रो वा॑वृ॒धे जा॑गृ॒वद्भिः॑ ॥ (१)

हे स्तोताओ! प्रवृद्ध एवं अंतरिक्ष व धरती पर चलने वाले अग्नि की स्तुति करो. वे वैश्वानर अग्नि यज्ञ में जागने वाले मरणरहित देवों के साथ बढ़ते हैं. (१)

This stotao! Praise the inspired and the agni that runs on space and earth. They grow up with the dying-free gods waking up in the Vaishnavar Agni Yajna. (1)
