इ॒मा रु॒द्राय॑ स्थि॒रध॑न्वने॒ गिरः॑ क्षि॒प्रेष॑वे दे॒वाय॑ स्व॒धाव्ने॑ । अषा॑ळ्हाय॒ सह॑मानाय वे॒धसे॑ ति॒ग्मायु॑धाय भरता शृ॒णोतु॑ नः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोताओ! तुम दृढ़ धनुष वाले, शीघ्रगामी बाणों वाले, अन्नयुक्त अपराजित, सबको जीतने वाले, बनाने वाले तथा तीक्ष्ण आयुधों के स्वामी रुद्र की स्तुति करो. वे हमारी स्तुति सुनें. (१)
EN English Translation
This stotao! Praise Rudra, the lord of the strong bow, the one with the quick arrows, the undefeated, the conqueror of all, the maker and the sharp ordnance. They hear our praise. (1)
स हि क्षये॑ण॒ क्षम्य॑स्य॒ जन्म॑नः॒ साम्रा॑ज्येन दि॒व्यस्य॒ चेत॑ति । अव॒न्नव॑न्ती॒रुप॑ नो॒ दुर॑श्चरानमी॒वो रु॑द्र॒ जासु॑ नो भव ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
रुद्र को स्वर्ग एवं पृथ्वी पर रहने वाले ऐश्वर्य द्वारा जाना जा सकता है. हे रुद्र! हमारी प्रजाएं तुम्हारी स्तुतियां करती हैं. तुम उनकी रक्षा करते हुए हमारे घर आओ एवं उसे रोगहीन बनाओ. (२)
EN English Translation
Rudra can be known by the splendor who lives in heaven and earth. Hey Rudra! Our people praise you. You protect them, come to our house and make him diseaseless. (2)
या ते॑ दि॒द्युदव॑सृष्टा दि॒वस्परि॑ क्ष्म॒या चर॑ति॒ परि॒ सा वृ॑णक्तु नः । स॒हस्रं॑ ते स्वपिवात भेष॒जा मा न॑स्तो॒केषु॒ तन॑येषु रीरिषः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! अंतरिक्ष से छोड़ी गई बिजली जो धरती पर घूमती है, वह हमें त्याग दे. हे स्वपिवात रुद्र! तुम्हारी हजारों ओषधियां हमें मिलें. तुम हमारे पुत्र-पौत्रों की हत्या मत करना. (३)
EN English Translation
Hey Rudra! Let the electricity released from space that roams the earth forsake us. O rudra in self-worship! We get thousands of your medicines. Don't kill our sons and grandsons. (3)
मा नो॑ वधी रुद्र॒ मा परा॑ दा॒ मा ते॑ भूम॒ प्रसि॑तौ हीळि॒तस्य॑ । आ नो॑ भज ब॒र्हिषि॑ जीवशं॒से यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रुद्र! तुम हमें मत मारना एवं हमारा त्याग मत करना. हम तुम्हारे क्रोध के बंधन में न रहें. तुम प्राणियों द्वारा प्रशंसित यज्ञ का हमें भागी बनाओ. हे देवो! तुम कल्याणसाधनों द्वारा हमारी रक्षा करो. (४)
EN English Translation
Hey Rudra! Don't kill us and don't abandon us. Let us not be in the grip of your anger. You make us a partaker of the yajna praised by the beings. Oh, God! You protect us by welfare means. (4)
