यु॒वां न॑रा॒ पश्य॑मानास॒ आप्यं॑ प्रा॒चा ग॒व्यन्तः॑ पृथु॒पर्श॑वो ययुः । दासा॑ च वृ॒त्रा ह॒तमार्या॑णि च सु॒दास॑मिन्द्रावरु॒णाव॑सावतम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे नेता इंद्र एवं वरुण! मोटे फरसे वाले यजमान तुम्हारी मित्रता चाहते हुए गाय पाने की अभिलाषा से पूर्व की ओर गए. तुम दासों, बाधकों एवं यज्ञपरायण शत्रुओं का नाश करो एवं रक्षासाधनों द्वारा सुदास की रक्षा करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O leaders Indra and Varuna! The hosts with thick floors went eastwards with the desire to get a cow, wanting your friendship. You destroy the dasas, the obstacles and the enemies of the yagnaparayanas and protect sudas by means of protection. (1)
यत्रा॒ नरः॑ स॒मय॑न्ते कृ॒तध्व॑जो॒ यस्मि॑न्ना॒जा भव॑ति॒ किं च॒न प्रि॒यम् । यत्रा॒ भय॑न्ते॒ भुव॑ना स्व॒र्दृश॒स्तत्रा॑ न इन्द्रावरु॒णाधि॑ वोचतम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं वरुण! उस युद्ध में तुम हमारे पक्षपात की बात करना, जिस में मनुष्य ध्वज उठाकर लड़ने के लिए मिलते हैं, जिस में कुछ भी प्रिय नहीं होता एवं प्राणी जिस में स्वर्ग के दर्शन करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Varuna! You speak in our favor in a war in which men meet to fight by raising flags, in which nothing is beloved, and in which beings see heaven. (2)
सं भूम्या॒ अन्ता॑ ध्वसि॒रा अ॑दृक्ष॒तेन्द्रा॑वरुणा दि॒वि घोष॒ आरु॑हत् । अस्थु॒र्जना॑ना॒मुप॒ मामरा॑तयो॒ऽर्वागव॑सा हवनश्रु॒ता ग॑तम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं वरुण! धरती की सब फसलें सैनिकों द्वारा ध्वस्त दिखाई दे रही हैं एवं उनका कोलाहल अंतरिक्ष में फैल रहा है. मेरे योद्धाओं के समस्त विरोधी मेरे समीप आ गए हैं. हे पुकार सुनने वालो! रक्षासाधनों के साथ हमारे सामने आओ. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Varuna! All the crops on earth appear to be demolished by soldiers and their clamour is spreading in space. All the opponents of My warriors have come close to Me. O you who hear the call! Come before us with defense tools. (3)
इन्द्रा॑वरुणा व॒धना॑भिरप्र॒ति भे॒दं व॒न्वन्ता॒ प्र सु॒दास॑मावतम् । ब्रह्मा॑ण्येषां शृणुतं॒ हवी॑मनि स॒त्या तृत्सू॑नामभवत्पु॒रोहि॑तिः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं वरुण! तुमने आयुधों द्वारा वश में न होने वाले भेद को मारा एवं राजा सुदास की रक्षा की. तुमने मेरे यजमान तृत्सुवंशीय ऋषियों की स्तुतियां सुनीं एवं युद्धकाल में उनका पुरोहित कर्म सफल हुआ. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Varuna! You struck the distinction that was not subdued by the armaments and protected King Sudas. You heard the praises of my host, the Tritsian sages, and in the war, their priestly deeds were successful. (4)
इन्द्रा॑वरुणाव॒भ्या त॑पन्ति मा॒घान्य॒र्यो व॒नुषा॒मरा॑तयः । यु॒वं हि वस्व॑ उ॒भय॑स्य॒ राज॒थोऽध॑ स्मा नोऽवतं॒ पार्ये॑ दि॒वि ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं वरुण! शत्रुओं के आयु मुझे घेर रहे हैं एवं हिंसकों के बीच फंसे मुझको शत्रु बाधा पहुंचा रहे हैं. तुम दोनों प्रकार की संपत्तियों के स्वामी हो, अतः युद्ध के दिन हमारी रक्षा करो. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Varuna! The ages of enemies are surrounding me and the enemies are hindering me trapped among the violent. You are the masters of both kinds of property, so protect us on the day of war. (5)
यु॒वां ह॑वन्त उ॒भया॑स आ॒जिष्विन्द्रं॑ च॒ वस्वो॒ वरु॑णं च सा॒तये॑ । यत्र॒ राज॑भिर्द॒शभि॒र्निबा॑धितं॒ प्र सु॒दास॒माव॑तं॒ तृत्सु॑भिः स॒ह ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
युद्ध के समय सुदास और तृत्सु दोनों धन पाने के लिए इंद्र एवं वरुण को बुलाते हैं. वहां तुमने दस राजाओं द्वारा पीड़ित सुदास के साथ तृत्सुओं को भी बचाया. (६)
EN English Translation
During the war, both Sudas and Tritsu call Indra and Varuna to get wealth. There you also saved the twilights with sudas suffering by the ten kings. (6)
दश॒ राजा॑नः॒ समि॑ता॒ अय॑ज्यवः सु॒दास॑मिन्द्रावरुणा॒ न यु॑युधुः । स॒त्या नृ॒णाम॑द्म॒सदा॒मुप॑स्तुतिर्दे॒वा ए॑षामभवन्दे॒वहू॑तिषु ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं वरुण! यज्ञ न करने वाले दस राजा मिलकर भी अकेले सुदास से युद्ध नहीं कर सके. हव्य धारण करने वाले नेतारूप ऋत्विजों की स्तुतियां भी सफल हुई एवं उनके यज्ञों में सब देव उपस्थित हुए. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Varuna! The ten kings who did not perform the yajna together could not fight sudas alone. The praises of the ritajis, who wore the haavya, also succeeded and all the gods were present in their yagnas. (7)
दा॒श॒रा॒ज्ञे परि॑यत्ताय वि॒श्वतः॑ सु॒दास॑ इन्द्रावरुणावशिक्षतम् । श्वि॒त्यञ्चो॒ यत्र॒ नम॑सा कप॒र्दिनो॑ धि॒या धीव॑न्तो॒ अस॑पन्त॒ तृत्स॑वः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं वरुण! जहां निर्मल, जटाधारी एवं यज्ञ-कर्म कर्त्ता तृत्सुओं ने हव्य अन्न एवं स्तुतियों से सेवा की, उसी दाशराज्ञ युद्ध में दस राजाओं द्वारा घिरे हुए सुदास को तुमने शक्तिशाली बनाया था. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Varuna! Where nirmal, jatadhari and yajna-karma kartas served with good food and praises, in the same Dasharagya war you made Sudas powerful, surrounded by the ten kings. (8)
वृ॒त्राण्य॒न्यः स॑मि॒थेषु॒ जिघ्न॑ते व्र॒तान्य॒न्यो अ॒भि र॑क्षते॒ सदा॑ । हवा॑महे वां वृषणा सुवृ॒क्तिभि॑र॒स्मे इ॑न्द्रावरुणा॒ शर्म॑ यच्छतम् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं वरुण! तुम में से एक संग्रामों में शत्रुओं का नाश करता है एवं दूसरा सदा यज्ञकर्मो की रक्षा करता है. हे अभिलाषापूरको! हम शोभनस्तुतियों द्वारा तुम्हें बुलाते हैं. तुम हमें सुख दो. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Varuna! One of you destroys the enemies in battles and the other always protects the yagnakarmas. That's all you want! We call you by the adornments. You give us happiness. (9)
अ॒स्मे इन्द्रो॒ वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा द्यु॒म्नं य॑च्छन्तु॒ महि॒ शर्म॑ स॒प्रथः॑ । अ॒व॒ध्रं ज्योति॒रदि॑तेरृता॒वृधो॑ दे॒वस्य॒ श्लोकं॑ सवि॒तुर्म॑नामहे ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र, वरुण, मित्र एवं अर्यमा हमें धन एवं परम विस्तृत घर दें. यज्ञ की वृद्धि करने वाली अदिति की ज्योति हमारे लिए हानिकर न हो. हम सविता देव की स्तुति करें. (१०)
EN English Translation
Give us wealth and the ultimate wide house of Indra, Varuna, friends and Ariyama. Let the light of Aditi, which increases the yagna, not be harmful to us. Let us praise Savita Dev. (10)
