पु॒नी॒षे वा॑मर॒क्षसं॑ मनी॒षां सोम॒मिन्द्रा॑य॒ वरु॑णाय॒ जुह्व॑त् । घृ॒तप्र॑तीकामु॒षसं॒ न दे॒वीं ता नो॒ याम॑न्नुरुष्यताम॒भीके॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं वरुण! मैं तुम्हारे उद्देश्य से अग्नि में सोम की आहुति फेंकता हुआ उषा देवी के समान प्रदीप्त अवयव वाली एवं राक्षसों से असंपृक्त स्तुति अर्पित करता हूं. इंद्र व वरण युद्ध में हमारी रक्षा करें. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Varuna! For your purpose, I offer an uncultured praise from demons and with a bright element like Usha Devi, throwing the offering of Som in the agni. Protect us in the battle of Indra and Varan. (1)
स्पर्ध॑न्ते॒ वा उ॑ देव॒हूये॒ अत्र॒ येषु॑ ध्व॒जेषु॑ दि॒द्यवः॒ पत॑न्ति । यु॒वं ताँ इ॑न्द्रावरुणाव॒मित्रा॑न्ह॒तं परा॑चः॒ शर्वा॒ विषू॑चः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं वरुण! जिन युद्धं में शत्रु हमें ललकारते हैं एवं ध्वजाओं पर आयुध गिरते हैं, उन में तुम सब शत्रुओं को आयुधों से दूर भगाओ एवं उनका नाश करो. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Varuna! In the wars in which the enemies challenge us and the weapons fall on the flags, drive all the enemies away from the weapons and destroy them. (2)
आप॑श्चि॒द्धि स्वय॑शसः॒ सद॑स्सु दे॒वीरिन्द्रं॒ वरु॑णं दे॒वता॒ धुः । कृ॒ष्टीर॒न्यो धा॒रय॑ति॒ प्रवि॑क्ता वृ॒त्राण्य॒न्यो अ॑प्र॒तीनि॑ हन्ति ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्वाधीन यशवाले एवं द्योतमान समस्त सोम घरों में इंद्र एवं वरुण देव को धारण करते हैं. इन में एक प्रजाओं को विभक्त करके पालन करता है एवं दूसरा अपराजित शत्रुओं को मारता है. (३)
EN English Translation
The swadheen yashwalas and the esoteric all the somas hold Indra and Varuna dev in the houses. One of them follows the subjects by dividing them and the other kills the undefeated enemies. (3)
स सु॒क्रतु॑रृत॒चिद॑स्तु॒ होता॒ य आ॑दित्य॒ शव॑सा वां॒ नम॑स्वान् । आ॒व॒वर्त॒दव॑से वां ह॒विष्मा॒नस॒दित्स सु॑वि॒ताय॒ प्रय॑स्वान् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शक्तिशाली एवं अदितिपुत्र मित्रावरुण! जो नमस्कार के द्वारा तुम्हारी सेवा करता है, वही होता शोभन कर्मवाला एवं यज्ञदाता हो. जो व्यक्ति हव्ययुक्त होकर तुम्हें बार-बार बुलाता है, वह यजमान अन्न का स्वामी होकर फल पाने वाला बने. (४)
EN English Translation
This powerful and aditiputra friend! He who serves you through salutations would have been the one who is a brave karmawala and a yajna-giver. The one who calls you again and again in a huff may the host be the master of the food and become the one to bear fruit. (4)
इ॒यमिन्द्रं॒ वरु॑णमष्ट मे॒ गीः प्राव॑त्तो॒के तन॑ये॒ तूतु॑जाना । सु॒रत्ना॑सो दे॒ववी॑तिं गमेम यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मेरी यह स्तुति इंद्र एवं वरुण के पास पहुंचे. मेरी स्तुति पुत्र एवं पौत्र की रक्षा का कारण बने. हम शोभनरत्न वाले होकर यज्ञ प्राप्त करें. हे देवो! तुम कल्याणसाधनों द्वारा हमारी सदा रक्षा करो. (५)
EN English Translation
This praise of mine reached Indra and Varuna. My praise became the cause of protecting the son and grandson. Let us get the yajna by being shobhanaratna. Oh, God! You always protect us by means of welfare. (5)
