स्वादि॑ष्ठया॒ मदि॑ष्ठया॒ पव॑स्व सोम॒ धार॑या । इन्द्रा॑य॒ पात॑वे सु॒तः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! इंद्र के पीने के लिए तुम्हें निचोड़ा गया है. तुम अतिशय मादक और मादक धारा से निचुड़ो. (१)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Indra's drink has squeezed you. You get rid of the overly intoxicating and intoxicating stream. (1)
र॒क्षो॒हा वि॒श्वच॑र्षणिर॒भि योनि॒मयो॑हतम् । द्रुणा॑ स॒धस्थ॒मास॑दत् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
राक्षसों के हंता और सबके दर्शक सोम स्वर्ण द्वारा चोट खाकर एवं द्रोणकलश में स्थित होकर यज्ञवेदी पर बैठते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
The hantas of the demons and the audience of all sit on the yajna vedi, hurt by the Som Swarna and situated in Dronkalash. (2)
व॒रि॒वो॒धात॑मो भव॒ मंहि॑ष्ठो वृत्र॒हन्त॑मः । पर्षि॒ राधो॑ म॒घोना॑म् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम धनों के अतिशय दाता, दाताओं में श्रेष्ठ एवं शत्रुओं का सर्वदा वध करने वाले बनो. तुम धनी शत्रुओं का धन हमें दो. (३)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Be the giver of wealth, the best of the givers, and the one who kills enemies forever. You give us the wealth of the rich enemies. (3)
अ॒भ्य॑र्ष म॒हानां॑ दे॒वानां॑ वी॒तिमन्ध॑सा । अ॒भि वाज॑मु॒त श्रवः॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम अन्न लेकर महान् देवों के यज्ञ के समीप आओ. तुम हमें बल और अन्न दो. (४)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You should come near the yajna of the great gods with food. You give us strength and grain. (4)
त्वामच्छा॑ चरामसि॒ तदिदर्थं॑ दि॒वेदि॑वे । इन्दो॒ त्वे न॑ आ॒शसः॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! हम प्रतिदिन तुम्हारी भली प्रकार सेवा करते हैं. हमारा यही काम है. हमारी आशा तुम्हारे अतिरिक्त दूसरी जगह नहीं है. (५)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! We serve you well every day. That's our job. Our hope is not in any other place other than you. (5)
पु॒नाति॑ ते परि॒स्रुतं॒ सोमं॒ सूर्य॑स्य दुहि॒ता । वारे॑ण॒ शश्व॑ता॒ तना॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! सूर्य की पुत्री श्रद्धा तुम्हारे निचुड़े हुए रस को विस्तृत तथा नित्य दशापवित्र से शुद्ध करती है. (६)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! The sun's daughter, Shraddha, purifies your loose juices with a wide and constant dashapavitra. (6)
तमी॒मण्वीः॑ सम॒र्य आ गृ॒भ्णन्ति॒ योष॑णो॒ दश॑ । स्वसा॑रः॒ पार्ये॑ दि॒वि ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यज्ञ में सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले दिन सभी बहिनों के समान दस उंगलियां सोम को भली प्रकार ग्रहण करती हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
On the day of squeezing somras in the yagna, ten fingers like all the sisters receive the soma well. (7)
तमीं॑ हिन्वन्त्य॒ग्रुवो॒ धम॑न्ति बाकु॒रं दृति॑म् । त्रि॒धातु॑ वार॒णं मधु॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उंगलियां ही सोम को निचोड़ने वाले स्थान पर ले जाती हैं एवं निचोड़ती हैं. सोमरूप मधु तीन स्थानों में रहता है तथा शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाला है. (८)
EN English Translation
The fingers take the mon to the squeezing point and squeeze it. Somrup Madhu lives in three places and is the destroyer of the enemies. (8)
अ॒भी॒३॒॑ममघ्न्या॑ उ॒त श्री॒णन्ति॑ धे॒नवः॒ शिशु॑म् । सोम॒मिन्द्रा॑य॒ पात॑वे ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हिंसा के अयोग्य गाएं इस बछड़ेरूपी सोम को इंद्र के पीने के लिए अपने दूध का मिश्रण करके शुद्ध बनाती हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
Cows unworthy of violence, make milk divine by mixing it with calf-like Som for Indra's drink. (9)
अ॒स्येदिन्द्रो॒ मदे॒ष्वा विश्वा॑ वृ॒त्राणि॑ जिघ्नते । शूरो॑ म॒घा च॑ मंहते ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शूर इंद्र इसी सोम के नशे में मतवाले होकर सभी शत्रुओं का नाश करते हैं तथा यजमानों को धन देते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
Shur Indra, drunk with this mon, destroys all the enemies and gives money to the hosts. (10)
