Mandal 9 • Sukta 15
ए॒ष धि॒या या॒त्यण्व्या॒ शूरो॒ रथे॑भिरा॒शुभिः॑ । गच्छ॒न्निन्द्र॑स्य निष्कृ॒तम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उंगलियों द्वारा निचोड़े हुए ये शूर सोम यज्ञ के द्वारा शीघ्रगामी रथ में बैठकर इंद्र के बनाए हुए स्वर्ग में जाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Squeezed by their fingers, these shurs sit in the early chariot through the Som Yajna and go to the heaven made by Indra. (1)
ए॒ष पु॒रू धि॑यायते बृह॒ते दे॒वता॑तये । यत्रा॒मृता॑स॒ आस॑ते ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस विशाल यज्ञ में देवगण बैठते हैं, उस में सोम बहुत से कर्मो की इच्छा करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
In the huge yagna in which the devas sit, Som desires many deeds. (2)
ए॒ष हि॒तो वि नी॑यते॒ऽन्तः शु॒भ्राव॑ता प॒था । यदी॑ तु॒ञ्जन्ति॒ भूर्ण॑यः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हविर्धान में स्थापित सोम आहवानीय देश की ओर ले जाए जाते हैं. इस समय अध्वर्यु आदि शोभा वाले मार्ग से उन्हें देवों को देते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Som set up in Havirdhan is taken towards the aahwaniya country. At this time, adhwaryu etc. give them to the gods through the path of adornment. (3)
ए॒ष शृङ्गा॑णि॒ दोधु॑व॒च्छिशी॑ते यू॒थ्यो॒३॒॑ वृषा॑ । नृ॒म्णा दधा॑न॒ ओज॑सा ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शक्ति द्वारा हमारे लिए धन धारण करने वाले सोम अपने ऊपर वाले भागों को इस प्रकार कंपाते हैं, जैसे शक्तिशाली सांड अपने सींग हिलाता है. (४)
EN English Translation
The mons holding wealth for us by power vibrate the parts above them in such a way that the mighty bull shakes its horns. (4)
ए॒ष रु॒क्मिभि॑रीयते वा॒जी शु॒भ्रेभि॑रं॒शुभिः॑ । पतिः॒ सिन्धू॑नां॒ भव॑न् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वेगशाली एवं दीप्त किरणों से युक्त सोम सभी बहने वाले रसों के स्वामी के रूप में अध्वर्यु आदि के साथ जाते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
The soma, consisting of strong and bright rays, goes with adhwaryu etc. as the lord of all the flowing juices. (5)
ए॒ष वसू॑नि पिब्द॒ना परु॑षा ययि॒वाँ अति॑ । अव॒ शादे॑षु गच्छति ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये सोम ढकने वाले एवं पीड़ित करने वाले राक्षसों को अपने अंशों द्वारा लांघ कर जाते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
These somas are covered and the tormenting monsters by their parts. (6)
ए॒तं मृ॑जन्ति॒ मर्ज्य॒मुप॒ द्रोणे॑ष्वा॒यवः॑ । प्र॒च॒क्रा॒णं म॒हीरिषः॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋत्विज् अधिक रस टपकाने वाले सोम को द्रोणकलशों में निचोड़ते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
Ritwij squeezes the excessive juice dripping mon into the dronacals. (7)
ए॒तमु॒ त्यं दश॒ क्षिपो॑ मृ॒जन्ति॑ स॒प्त धी॒तयः॑ । स्वा॒यु॒धं म॒दिन्त॑मम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दस उंगलियां और सात ऋत्विज् राक्षसों को मारने में आयुध के समान एवं अतिशय मादक सोम को मसलते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
Ten fingers and seven ritwijas in killing the demons are like an armament and highly intoxicating mon. (8)
