उत्ते॒ शुष्मा॑स ईरते॒ सिन्धो॑रू॒र्मेरि॑व स्व॒नः । वा॒णस्य॑ चोदया प॒विम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम्हारा वेग सागर की लहरों के समान चलता है. तुम धनुष से छोड़े हुए बाण के समान शब्द करो. (१)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Your velocity moves like the waves of the ocean. Make a word like an arrow you left from the bow. (1)
प्र॒स॒वे त॒ उदी॑रते ति॒स्रो वाचो॑ मख॒स्युवः॑ । यदव्य॒ एषि॒ सान॑वि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम जिस समय उन्नत एवं भेड़ के बालों से बने दशापवित्र पर जाते हो, तब तुम्हारी उत्पत्ति के समय यज्ञ करने के अभिलाषी यजमान के मुख से ऋक्, यजु एवं साम के रूप में तीन वचन निकलते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! When you go to the dashapavitra made of advanced and sheep's hair, three words in the form of Rik, Yaju and Sam come out of the mouth of the host who wishes to perform the yajna at the time of your genesis. (2)
अव्यो॒ वारे॒ परि॑ प्रि॒यं हरिं॑ हिन्व॒न्त्यद्रि॑भिः । पव॑मानं मधु॒श्चुत॑म् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों के प्रिय, हरे रंग वाले, पत्थरों की सहायता से पीसे गए, रस टपकाने वाले एवं निचुड़ते हुए सोम को ऋत्विज् भेड़ के बालों से बने दशापवित्र पर रखते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
The beloved of the gods, the green ones, crushed with the help of stones, the juice-dripping and the unsettling Mon, keep the demon on the dashapavitra made of the hair of the ritvija sheep. (3)
आ प॑वस्व मदिन्तम प॒वित्रं॒ धार॑या कवे । अ॒र्कस्य॒ योनि॑मा॒सद॑म् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अतिशय नशीले एवं क्रांत-कर्म वाले सोम! तुम पूजा के योग्य इंद्र का स्थान पाने के लिए धारा के रूप में दशापवित्र पर गिरो. (४)
EN English Translation
O very intoxicating and revolutionary mon! You fall on Dashapavitra as stream to get the place of Indra worthy of worship. (4)
स प॑वस्व मदिन्तम॒ गोभि॑रञ्जा॒नो अ॒क्तुभिः॑ । इन्द॒विन्द्रा॑य पी॒तये॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अतिशय मादक सोम! तुम स्वादिष्ट बनाने वाले गाय के दूध, घी आदि से मिलकर इंद्र के पीने के लिए टपको. (५)
EN English Translation
Oh, very intoxicating Mon! You mix with delicious cow's milk, ghee, etc. to drink indra.. (5)
