अ॒स्य प्र॒त्नामनु॒ द्युतं॑ शु॒क्रं दु॑दुह्रे॒ अह्र॑यः । पयः॑ सहस्र॒सामृषि॑म् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
विद्वान् ऋत्विज् सोम के प्राचीन, दीप्तिशाली, उज्ज्वल, असीमित अभिलाषाओं को देने वाले एवं कर्मफल के द्रष्टा रस को दुहते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Scholars milk the ancient, glorious, bright, unlimited desires of Ritvij Som and the seer of the fruit of karma. (1)
अ॒यं सूर्य॑ इवोप॒दृग॒यं सरां॑सि धावति । स॒प्त प्र॒वत॒ आ दिव॑म् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह सोम सूर्य के समान सारे संसार को देखते हैं, तीस उक्थ पात्रों की ओर जाते हैं एवं स्वर्ग से लेकर पृथ्वी तक सात नदियों को घेरते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
This mon sees the whole world like the sun, goes to the thirty uquth characters and surrounds the seven rivers from heaven to earth. (2)
अ॒यं विश्वा॑नि तिष्ठति पुना॒नो भुव॑नो॒परि॑ । सोमो॑ दे॒वो न सूर्यः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
निचोड़े जाते हुए यह सोमदेव सूर्य के समान सभी लोकों के ऊपर रहते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
While squeezed it lives on top of all the realms similar to the Somdev Sun. (3)
परि॑ णो दे॒ववी॑तये॒ वाजा॑ँ अर्षसि॒ गोम॑तः । पु॒ना॒न इ॑न्दविन्द्र॒युः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे निचुड़ते हुए एवं इंद्राभिलाषी सोम! तुम हमारे यज्ञ के लिए चारों ओर से गायों से युक्त अन्न बरसाओ. (४)
EN English Translation
O nishchading and incorruptible Mon! You shower food containing cows from all around for our yajna. (4)
