प्र ते॒ धारा॑ अस॒श्चतो॑ दि॒वो न य॑न्ति वृ॒ष्टयः॑ । अच्छा॒ वाजं॑ सह॒स्रिण॑म् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! जिस प्रकार द्युलोक से होने वाली जलवर्षा प्रजाओं को हजारों तरह का अन्न देती है, उसी प्रकार तुम्हारी आसक्तिरहित धाराएं हमें अन्न देती हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Just as the water from The Dulok gives thousands of kinds of food to the people, so your unattached streams give us food. (1)
अ॒भि प्रि॒याणि॒ काव्या॒ विश्वा॒ चक्षा॑णो अर्षति । हरि॑स्तुञ्जा॒न आयु॑धा ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हरे रंग वाले सोम अपने सभी प्रीतिकर कर्मो को देखते हुए एवं अपने आयुधों को राक्षसों के प्रति फेंकते हुए हमारे यज्ञ में आते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
The green-coloured Mons come to our yagna, seeing all his loving deeds and throwing his weapons against the demons. (2)
स म॑र्मृजा॒न आ॒युभि॒रिभो॒ राजे॑व सुव्र॒तः । श्ये॒नो न वंसु॑ षीदति ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋत्विजों द्वारा युद्ध करते हुए एवं शोभन कर्म वाले सोम भयरहित राजा अथवा बाज पक्षी के समान जल में बैठते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Soma, who fights with the Ritvijas and performs shobhan karma, sits in the water like a fearless king or eagle bird. (3)
स नो॒ विश्वा॑ दि॒वो वसू॒तो पृ॑थि॒व्या अधि॑ । पु॒ना॒न इ॑न्द॒वा भ॑र ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे निचुड़ते हुए सोम! तुम स्वर्ग एवं पृथ्वी पर स्थित सारी संपत्तियां हमारे लिए लाओ. (४)
EN English Translation
O swollen Mon! You bring us all the possessions in heaven and on earth. (4)
