एत असृग्रमिन्दवस्तिरः पवित्रमाशवः । विश्वान्यभि सौभगा ॥ (१)

हे सोम! आप तेजी से छलनी की ओर भाग रहे हैं. यजमान अपने सौभाग्य के लिए आप को परिष्कृत कर रहे हैं. (१)

O Mon! You are running towards the sieve fast. Hosts are refining you for your good fortune. (1)
अग्निनाग्निः समिध्यते कविर्गृहपतिर्युवा । हव्यवाड्जुह्वास्यः ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि! आप कवि, विद्वान्, युवा, हविवाहक व यज्ञ के रक्षक हैं. आप को समिधा से प्रज्वलित किया जाता है. (१)

O agni! You are a poet, scholar, youth, husband and protector of yajna. You are ignited with samidha. (1)
अभि सोमास आयवः पवन्ते मद्यं मदम् । समुद्रस्याधि विष्टपे मनीषिणो मत्सरासो मदच्युतः ॥ (१)

हे सोम! आप आनंददायी एवं स्फूर्तिदायी हैं. यजमान आनंद तथा स्फूर्ति पाने के लिए द्रोणकलश के ऊपर रखी हुई छलनी से आप को छाननते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are enjoyable and energetic. The host filters you with a sieve placed on top of the dronalash to get pleasure and energy. (1)
यद्द्याव इन्द्र ते शतँशतं भूमीरुत स्युः । न त्वा वज्रिन्त्सहस्रँ सूर्या अनु न जातमष्ट रोदसी ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! सैकड़ों भूमि, सैकड़ों सूर्य और सैकड़ों लोक भी आप की महिमा के बराबर नहीं हो सकते. आप जैसा अब तक कोई उत्पन्न नहीं हुआ. भूमंडल और अंतरिक्षमंडल तक में आप की समानता कोई नहीं कर सकता. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Hundreds of lands, hundreds of suns and hundreds of worlds cannot even be equal to the glory of you. No one has arisen like you so far. No one can equate you even in the atmosphere and the space system. (1)
तिस्रो वाच उदीरते गावो मिमन्ति धेनवः । हरिरेति कनिक्रदत् ॥ (१)

यजमान तीन वाणियां उचारते हैं. उन वाणियों को सुन कर हरे रंग का सोमरस दुधारू गाय के रंभाने जैसी आवाज करता हुआ प्रवाहित होता है. (१)

The host utters three vows. Hearing those words, the green sommers flows, making a sound like a milch cow's rambhane. (1)
प्र मँहिष्ठाय गायत ऋताव्ने बृहते शुक्रशोचिषे । उपस्तुतासो अग्नये ॥ (१)

हे यजमानो! आप महान यज्ञ करने वाले हैं. आप अग्नि की उपासना कीजिए. अग्नि महान व तेजस्वी हैं. (१)

O hosts! You are going to perform a great sacrifice. You worship agni. Agni is great and magnificent. (1)
विघ्नन्तो दुरिता पुरु सुगा तोकाय वाजिनः । त्मना कृण्वन्तो अर्वतः ॥ (२)

हे सोम! आप शक्तिदाता, पापनाशी व हमारी पीठ़ियों को पशु धन देते हैं. आप अपना मार्ग स्वयं निर्मित करते हैं. (२)

O Mon! You give power, papanashida and livestock to our chairs. You create your own path. (2)
यस्त्वामग्ने हविष्पतिर्दूतं देव सपर्यति । तस्य स्म प्राविता भव ॥ (२)

हे अग्नि! आप हविपति तथा देवदूत हैं. आप की जो विधिवत रक्षा करते हैं, आप उन की रक्षा करने की कृपा कीजिए. (२)

O agni! You are a god and an angel. Please protect those who duly protect you. (2)
तरत्समुद्रं पवमान ऊर्मिणा राजा देव ऋतं बृहत् । अर्षा मित्रस्य वरुणस्य धर्मणा प्र हिन्वान ऋतं बृहत् ॥ (२)

हे सोम! आप पवित्र, लहरदार, विशाल व राजा हैं. आप को मित्र और वरुण देव के पीने के लिए यज्ञ में स्थापित किया जाता है. (२)

O Mon! You are holy, wavy, vast and king. You are established in the yagna for the drinking of friend and Varun Dev. (2)
आ पप्राथ महिना वृष्ण्या वृषन्विश्वा शविष्ठ शवसा । अस्माँ अव मघवन्गोमति व्रजे वज्रिञ्चित्राभिरूतिभिः ॥ (२)

हे इंद्र। आप बलवान, सामर्थ्यवान व मनोकामनाएं पूरी करने वाले हैं. आप धनवान, वज्रधारी व श्रेष्ठ मतिवान हैं. आप अपने रक्षा साधनों के साथ पधारिए. आप गायों से भरे हुए बाड़े प्रदान कीजिए. (२)

O Indra. You are strong, powerful and fulfilling wishes. You are rich, vajradhari and superior. You come with your defense tools. You provide enclosures full of cows. (2)
अभि ब्रह्मीरनूषत यह्वीरृतस्य मातरः । मर्जयन्तीर्दिवः शिशुम् ॥ (२)

हम यजमान स्वर्गलोक के शिशु सोम को परिष्कृत करने के लिए मंत्र उचारते हैं. सत्य की माता से सोम उत्पन्न हुए हैं. ब्रह्मज्ञानी सोम की उपासना करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
We chant mantras to refine the infant Soma of the host heaven. Soma is born from the mother of truth. Brahmagyani worships Soma. (2)
आ वँसते मघवा वीरवद्यशः समिद्धो द्युम्न्याहुतः । कुविन्नो अस्य सुमतिर्भवीयस्यच्छा वाजेभिरागमत् ॥ (२)

हे अग्नि! आप वीर, यशवान व उत्तम बुद्धि वाले हैं. आप पीढ़ी दर पीढ़ी धन और यश प्रदान करते हैं. आप हम पर कृपा कीजिए. हमें अन्नबल प्रदान कीजिए. (२)

O agni! You are brave, successful and with good intellect. You provide wealth and fame from generation to generation. You please impress us. Give us food power. (2)
कृण्वन्तो वरिवो गवेऽभ्यर्षन्ति सुष्टुतिम् । इडामस्मभ्यँ संयतम् ॥ (३)

हे सोम! आप हमें धन प्रदान करते हैं. आप हमारी गायों के लिए भी श्रेष्ठ धन प्रदान करते हैं. आप पालने वाले हैं. आप हमारी प्रार्थनाओं को स्वीकार कीजिए. (३)

O Mon! You provide us with funds. You also provide the best money for our cows. You're going to raise. You accept our prayers. (3)
यो अग्निं देववीतये हविष्माँ आविवासति । तस्मै पावक मृडय ॥ (३)

हे अग्नि! आप हविमान हैं. हम देवताओं को हवि पहुंचाने के लिए आप से अनुरोध करते हैं. आप पवित्र हैं. आप हमें सुखी बनाने की कृपा कीजिए. (३)

वयं घ त्वा सुतावन्त आपो न वृक्तबर्हिषः । पवित्रस्य प्रस्रवणेषु वृत्रहन्परि स्तोतार आसते ॥ (३)

हे इंद्र! आप शत्रुनाशी हैं. हम सोमरस को जलप्रवाह की भांति आप के पास प्रवाहित कर के लाते हैं. हम आप को परिष्कृत सोमरस चढ़ाते तथा विराजने के लिए आप को कुश का आसन भेंट करते हैं. (३)

O Indra! You are an enemy. We bring somers to you like a water flow. We offer you a refined somerasa and offer you the seat of Kush to sit. (3)
रायः समुद्राँश्चतुरोऽस्मभ्यँ सोम विश्वतः । आ पवस्व सहस्रिणः ॥ (३)

हे सोम! आप हमें सभी प्रकार के सुख दीजिए. आप हमें सभी प्रकार के धन दीजिए. आप हमारी हजारों इच्छाओं को पूरा करने के लिए प्रवाहित होने की कृपा कीजिए. (३)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You give us all kinds of happiness. You give us all kinds of money. Please flow to fulfill our thousands of wishes. (3)
तं ते मदं गृणीमसि वृषणं पृक्षु सासहिम् । उ लोककृत्नुमद्रिवो हरिश्रियम् ॥ (३)

हे इंद्र! आप साहसी, बलशाली एवं इच्छापूरक हैं. आप लोक का भला चाहने वाले व अश्चों से सुशोभित होते हैं. सोमरस पीते ही आप प्रसन्न हो जाते हैं. हम आप के स्वरूप की प्रशंसा करते हैं. (३)

O Indra! You are courageous, strong and willful. You are adorned with people who want the good of the people and are adorned with ashchas. You become happy as soon as you drink someras. We appreciate your appearance. (3)
राजा मेधाभिरीयते पवमानो मनावधि । अन्तरिक्षेण यातवे ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप राजा हैं. हम बुद्धि से आप की उपासना करते हैं. आप अंतरिक्ष में भ्रमण करते हैं. आप द्रोणकलश में स्थित रहते हैं. (४)

O Mon! You are the king. We worship you with wisdom. You travel in space. You live in Dronalash. (4)
मित्रँ हुवे पूतदक्षं वरुणं च रिशादसम् । धियं घृताचीँ साधन्ता ॥ (४)

हे मित्र! आप पवित्र और दक्ष हैं. हे वरुण! आप जल उपजाते हैं. आप दोनों देव हमें बुद्धि प्रदान कीजिए. आप हमें साधिए एवं हमारे शत्रुओं का नाश कीजिए. हम आप दोनों देवों का आह्वान करते हैं. (४)

Hey friend! You are pure and efficient. O Varuna! You grow water. May you two gods give us wisdom. You save us and destroy our enemies. We call upon both of you gods. (4)
तिस्रो वाच ईरयति प्र वह्निरृतस्य धीतिं ब्रह्मणो मनीषाम् । गावो यन्ति गोपतिं पृच्छमानाः सोमं यन्ति मतयो वावशानाः ॥ (४)

हे सोम! यजमान ऋक्, यजु और साम रूप तीन वाणियों से आप का गुणगान करते हैं. ब्राह्मण और मनीषी उसी प्रकार आप को खोजते (पूछते हुए) आते हैं, जिस प्रकार गाएं बैल के पास जाती हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Mon! The host praises you with the three words of the form of Rik, Yaju and Saam. Brahmins and mystics come looking for you in the same way as cows go to the bull. (4)
स्वरन्ति त्वा सुते नरो वसो निरेक उक्थिनः । कदा सुतं तृषाण ओक आ गम इन्द्र स्वब्दीव वँसगः ॥ (४)

हे इंद्र! आप सर्वत्र वास करते हैं. आप सब को वास देते हैं. यजमान सोमरस चढ़ा कर आप की उपासना करते हैं. आप बैलों की तरह आवाज करते हुए अपने बेटों के यहां कब पधारने की कृपा करेंगे? (४)

O Indra! You live everywhere. You give everyone a residence. The host worships you by offering somras. When would you be pleased to come to your sons' place, sounding like bulls? (4)
सुतासो मधुमत्तमाः सोमा इन्द्राय मन्दिनः । पवित्रवन्तो अक्षरं देवान्गच्छन्तु वो मदाः ॥ (४)

हे सोम! आप मधुमान हैं. हम आप के पुत्र हैं. आप इंद्र को प्रसन्न करने के लिए प्रवाहित होइए. आप पवित्र हैं और कभी क्षरित (नष्ट) नहीं होते. आप देवताओं को आनंद प्रदान करने के लिए उन के पास जाने की कृपा कीजिए. (४)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are Madhuman. We are your sons. You flow to please Indra. You are holy and never destroyed. Please go to the gods to give them pleasure. (4)
येन ज्योतीँष्यायवे मनवे च विवेदिथ । मन्दानो अस्य बर्हिषो वि राजसि ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप मनुष्य को दीर्घायु बनाते हैं व मानव के हितकारी हैं. आप ने मनुष्यों के लिए ही कई वस्तुएं प्रकाशित की हैं. आप आइए प्रसन्न होइए. आप कुश के आसन पर विराजने की कृपा कीजिए. (४)

O Indra! You make man longevity and are beneficial to human beings. You have published many things for humans. You come and be happy. Please sit on the seat of Kush. (4)
आ नः सोम सहो जुवो रूपं न वर्चसे भर । सुष्वाणो देववीतये ॥ (५)

हे सोम! आप को देवीदेवताओं के उपयोग के लिए परिष्कृत किया जाता है. आप हमें भरपूर रूप, वर्चस्व (प्रभाव) व तेज प्रदान कीजिए. (५)

O Mon! You are refined for the use of goddesses. You give us full form, dominance and sharpness. (5)
ऋतेन मित्रावरुणावृतावृधावृतस्पृशा । क्रतुं बृहन्तमाशाथे ॥ (५)

हे मित्र! हे वरुण! आप सत्य के रक्षक हैं. आप यज्ञ को सफल बनाते हैं. आप हमें भी पुण्यशाली व सत्य का रक्षक बनाइए. (५)

Hey friend! O Varuna! You are the protector of truth. You make the yajna a success. You also make us virtuous and protectors of truth. (5)
सोमं गावो धेनवो वावशानाः सोमं विप्रा मतिभिः पृच्छमानाः । सोमः सुत ऋच्यते पूयमानः सोमे अर्कास्त्रिष्टुभः सं नवन्ते ॥ (५)

हे सोम! दुधारू गाएं आप को चाहती हैं. ब्राह्मण पूछते हुए सोम को चाहते हैं. सुत (यजमान) पवित्र सोम को चाहते हैं. यजमान त्रिष्टुप् छंद में रची गई प्रार्थनाओं से सोम की उपासना करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Mon! Milch cows want you to. Brahmins want Som, asking. Sut (host) wants the holy Soma. The hosts worship Soma with the prayers composed in the Trishtup verse. (5)
कण्वेभिर्धृष्णवा धृषद्वाजं दर्षि सहस्रिणम् । पिशङ्गरूपं मघवन्विचर्षणे मक्षू गोमन्तमीमहे ॥ (५)

हे इंद्र! आप धनी, ज्ञानी, शत्रुनाशी व बहुरंगी हैं. आप हजारों तरह के वैभव व हजारों गुनी शक्ति दे सकते हैं. हम कण्ववंशी यजमान आप की उपासना करते हैं. (५)

O Indra! You are rich, knowledgeable, hostile and multi-colored. You can give thousands of types of splendour and thousands of times the power. We Kanvavanshi hosts worship you. (5)
इन्दुरिन्द्राय पवत इति देवासो अब्रुवन् । वाचस्पतिर्मखस्यते विश्वस्येशान ओजसाः ॥ (५)

हे इंद्र! उपासक आप के लिए सोमरस स्वच्छ करते हैं. आप सब के ईश्वर, ओजस्वी और वाचस्पति हैं. यज्ञ में सोमरस का उपयोग किया जाता है. (५)

O Indra! Worshippers clean somers for you. You are the God, energetic and vachaspati of all. Someras is used in yajna. (5)
तदद्या चित्त उक्थिनोऽनु ष्टुवन्ति पूर्वथा । वृषपत्नीरपो जया दिवेदिवे ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! पूर्व से ही आप के यजमान आप की गाथा (यश) गाते हैं. अब भी आप के यश को गाते हैं. आप असुरों पर विजय पाने में हमारी सहायता कीजिए. हम प्रतिदिन आप की स्तुति करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! From the past, your hosts sing your gatha (yash). Even now you sing to the glory. You help us conquer the Asuras. We praise you every day. (5)
