आशुरर्ष बृहन्मते परि प्रियेण धाम्ना । यत्र देवा इति ब्रुवन् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप मतिमान (विद्वान्) और देवों के प्रिय हैं. आप अपनी रसधार के साथ शीघ्र आइए. इस यज्ञ में इंद्र आदि देवता हैं. अतः आप इस यज्ञ में अवश्य आइए. (१)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are dear to matiman (scholar) and devas. You come quickly with your rasdhar. Indra etc. are gods in this yajna. Therefore, you must come to this yajna. (1)
परिष्कृण्वन्ननिष्कृतं जनाय यातयन्निषः । वृष्टिं दिवः परि स्रव ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप अशुद्ध स्थान को शुद्ध करने की कृपा कीजिए. आप यजमान के भरणपोषण हेतु अन्न आदि के लिए वर्षा करने की कृपा कीजिए. (२)
EN English Translation
O Mon! Please cleanse the unclean place. Please shower for food etc. to feed the host. (2)
अयँ स यो दिवस्परि रघुयामा पवित्र आ । सिन्धोरूर्मा व्यक्षरत् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप स्वर्गलोक से ऊपर मंथर गति वाले होते हैं. आप को जब छलनी से छाना जाता है तो आप बहुत वेगवान हो कर द्रोणकलश में आ जाते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are slow-moving above heaven. When you are filtered with a sieve, you become very fast and come to Dronakalsh. (3)
सुत एति पवित्र आ त्विषिं दधान ओजसा । विचक्षाणो विरोचयन् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! परिष्कृत किए जाते, प्रकाश फैलाते, सब को देखते व ओज धारण करते हुए, आप वेग से छलनी में छन जाते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Mon! Being refined, spreading light, seeing and wearing oz, you are rapidly filtered into the sieve. (4)
आविवासन्परावतो अथो अर्वावतः सुतः । इन्द्राय सिच्यते मधु ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! छानने के बाद आप का रस दूर और पास के देवताओं को भेंट किया जाता है. इंद्र के लिए मधुर सोमरस का सिंचन किया जाता है. (५)
EN English Translation
O Mon! After filtering, your juice is offered away and to the nearby gods. Madhur Someras is irrigated for Indra. (5)
समीचीना अनूषत हरिँ हिन्वन्त्यद्रिभिः । इन्दुमिन्द्राय पीतये ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उपयुक्त रीति से इकट्ठे हुए उपासक सोम की उपासना करते हैं. इंद्र के पीने के लिए हरे सोम को पत्थरों से कूटा जाता है. (६)
EN English Translation
Suitably assembled worshippers worship Soma. Green soma is crushed with stones for Indra to drink. (6)
हिन्वन्ति सूरमुस्रयः स्वसारो जामयस्पतिम् । महामिन्दुं महीयुवः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! ये अंगुलियां काम के लिए सब ओर जाने वाली हैं. आपस में बहनों की तरह प्रेम भाव से रहने वाली ये अंगुलियां सोमरस को शुद्ध करती हैं. ये श्रेष्ठ वीर, चेतन व सब के स्वामी सोमरस को निचोड़ती हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
O Mon! These fingers are going to go all over for work. These fingers, which live with love like sisters among themselves, purify Someras. She squeezes the best hero, the conscious and the swami of all, Someras. (7)
पवमान रुचारुचा देवो देवेभ्यः सुतः । विश्वा वसून्या विश ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप चमकीले व शुद्ध हैं. देवताओं को भेंट करने के लिए आप को छान कर तैयार किया गया है. आप हमें संसार के सारे वैभव दे दीजिए. (८)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are bright and pure. You have been filtered and prepared to offer to the gods. You give us all the glory of the world. (8)
आ पवमान सुष्टुतिं वृष्टिं देवेभ्यो दुवः । इषे पवस्व संयतम् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप शुद्ध व प्रशंसा के योग्य हैं. आप अपने रस की वर्षा वैसे ही हम पर करिए, जैसे देवता हमारे लिए अन्न और आशीर्वादों की वर्षा करते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are pure and worthy of praise. You shower your juice on us just as the gods shower food and blessings for us. (9)
